The restaurant and beer garden are incredibly cozy. The beer garden is sheltered from the wind and equipped with patio heaters. There are also beer kegs available for seating around 10 people. Haus Hölter is highly recommended in autumn, winter, spring, and summer. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Both the restaurant (with its concise yet excellent menu) and the beer garden with its lounge in a perfect location deserve top marks. The food is outstanding, the service is incredibly friendly, and you feel very comfortable and well taken care of. Whether it's a milestone birthday celebration inside or finishing a bike ride in the beer garden, it's definitely always worth a return visit.

Once again on a bike ride, and as often before, stopped at Hölter's. The atmosphere right on the canal was, as always, very nice, and the staff, as usual, friendly. What wasn't really okay was the currywurst. It was a bit carelessly served on the plate, and okay, it wasn't from a charcoal grill. But somewhere between seared and mushy isn't okay either. And getting the answer "We don't have any" when asking for curry powder for seasoning isn't professional either. Well, if fewer customers come, it shouldn't result in a loss of quality.

Fantastic! Deserves a 6th star. Even the streamlined outdoor menu offers a variety of special dishes. There were three of us and we had a hamburger, tarte flambée, and Maultaschen (swabian pasta), all very well prepared, flavorful, and plentiful. The service was also very professional and friendly. We'll be back.

The following review refers to the beer garden. We are regular guests at the Haus Hölter beer garden. Today, we had another very bad day. Rude, slow service. Many dishes give the impression of being ready-made items that have been warmed up and spruced up with a little decoration. The ambiance is great, right on the canal with a great atmosphere. I realize that it's difficult to find good, polite, and professional staff these days. However, the great surroundings unfortunately cannot compensate for the mediocre, unloving food and the rude, rude, and unprofessional service.

The salad was too expensive for the price, and such a highly praised restaurant was not good. Too much tomato iceberg lettuce and a couple of pieces of chicken. Nothing more, and all for €18.50. Two slices of stale bread. We'll only have drinks there from now on.

We sat in the beer garden this evening and had a truly delicious meal. Even our son thought his schnitzel was delicious. Besides the food, the absolutely fantastic service deserves special mention. We've never encountered such a cheerful crew. They were all on the ball and super friendly. We'd especially like to thank Elli – we didn't know her at all, but her friendly and cheerful nature will remain in our memories. We'll definitely be back.

After seeing the winner of "My Local, Your Local," we stopped by this beer garden yesterday on our way back from Berlin. The location right on the canal couldn't be better, and everything else was perfect. A super friendly welcome and service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back and will try out the lovely restaurant.

We were there in the beer garden on a Monday evening. It was a special opening – on some Mondays during the holidays, the beer garden opens outside of its usual opening hours. It says so on the website. What we didn't know was that the menu was also slimmed down. Since we had already picked out the pulled pork burger online, it didn't matter that there was only a pulled pork bun, currywurst, tarte flambée, and something else I can't remember right now. There were plenty of staff on hand, we didn't have to wait long, and the service was pleasant and friendly. The atmosphere was good. The canal running so close to the beer garden is quite nice. The burger didn't blow us away in terms of taste, but there was nothing really to complain about either. We can imagine going there again.

It was our first, but not our last, visit. The atmosphere is fantastic, you can see the attention to detail, and you sit by the water. The food is great; since Monday is a day off, we had the "snack" option. The taste and appearance don't let on, though; it's absolutely fantastic. A definite recommendation. We'll be back 👍

We wanted to celebrate a birthday with friends and called specifically. They promised us schnitzel and filet. An unfriendly waitress with a South American background offered us a memory card that hadn't been prearranged. Sorry, we called specifically and asked for food. What we got was abysmal.

The food is attractively presented, well-seasoned, and despite the more upscale style, you'll still be filling. The value for money is good. The only drawback is the poor parking situation. But we'd be happy to come back.

We went there for the first time yesterday and were disappointed with the food. The herring fillet was delicious, but one double herring was too few for the price. The paprika schnitzel was piled high on a plate that was far too small, and the salad was inedible. It was swimming in a red (?), greasy dressing that left a mouthfeel like pure fat. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was on top of the salad, and under the schnitzel was some of the fries. Any snack bar could do better. We also didn't understand the point of the very loud music. It took away any idyllic setting. We had admired the location from the other side of the canal several times. Now we were there. Once was enough.

Not really good food, like a chip shop. The tarte flambée I ordered was as dry as a piece of wood. The entire meal is really not recommended. Atmosphere right on the water, 5 stars.

The proximity to the canal and the pleasant atmosphere make the oppressive heat easier to bear with a delicious cold or hot drink. My friend accidentally left his hat on, and hey presto—one of the attentive staff rushed to our car. Thank you for that! Otherwise: tarte flambée, currywurst with fries, cake,... Today was my first visit to Haus Hölter. The approach (parking situation) was a bit tricky because the small parking lot in front of the restaurant was already full. So I had to drop my companions off in front of the restaurant because one of them has difficulty walking. My first contact with the staff at Haus Hölter was: "You can't park here!" Okay, I thought. Nice greeting. I hadn't planned on doing that. Then I had to find a free parking space somewhere across the street in the residential area and walk 2 minutes back to the restaurant. (hence the one star deduction). We were greeted warmly at the restaurant and were allowed to choose our own table. The ambiance was very nice, the staff was friendly, and everything was to our satisfaction. When I looked at the menu, I was initially unsure what to order. (This is, of course, a matter of personal taste. Only two dishes came to mind.) The menu is quite small, but that's always the case with "fine dining." The food didn't take long to arrive and tasted very good! We had three different dishes with soup, and everything was completely satisfactory! Kudos to the kitchen! The portion size is also worth mentioning. I'm a good eater, but unfortunately I didn't finish 100% of my meal. So, if you think you won't get full in an upscale restaurant, you'll be proven wrong here. The prices are reasonable and perfectly fine. A lovely evening at Haus Hölter. Conclusion: - Parking is rather poor and not suitable for people with walking difficulties. + The staff is friendly, courteous, and quick. + The ambiance is inviting and comfortable. + The food is cooked with fresh ingredients and tastes very good. + Prices are perfectly fine.

We visited the location twice, but both times we were unable to get in. Once because of an event (not listed on the website), and the second time we didn't make a reservation for the breakfast buffet. Although there were plenty of seats available, we were told that the buffet was reservation-only.

We were there for breakfast today. The buffet was fantastic, leaving nothing to be desired. A chilled atmosphere, a little break from everyday life, is guaranteed, thanks in part to the very friendly service staff.

I didn't rate the food because we only had drinks that day. The location right on the canal is really beautiful, with excellent seating and a superb view. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food on the plates looked very good, and the portion sizes seemed decent. We will definitely come back and eat with you again. Sitting right on the canal, you feel like you're in paradise somewhere in Southern Europe. It's simply wonderful. The service is very attentive, and the owner is happy to personally attend to your needs. You get an all-around great feeling. The breakfast buffet is above average. We came across this great beer garden by chance and stopped there for a rest. The location right on the water is truly fantastic, and we sat at table 20. We would definitely give it 5 stars for the location and ambiance, if we were smokers. Unfortunately, for non-smokers, it's less pleasant to eat and linger there. We went there for the second time on Sunday, precisely because of the beautiful location, and were unfortunately again bombarded with smoke from all sides. It's a shame they don't have two areas. We would have loved to eat our salad with scampi without being bombarded with cigarette smoke from all sides. That really spoiled our stay at this otherwise beautiful place. We were thrilled with the scampi. Perfectly prepared, very tasty! The salad, however, was much too sweet – unfortunately, you couldn't choose the dressing. This overly sweet 'raspberry sauce' isn't necessary. We would have preferred a delicious yogurt dressing. As for the service, there are some very young staff members who are extremely friendly and courteous. However, one older waiter could have been more accommodating in his treatment of us. If there were a non-smoking area at this actually beautiful spot right on the water, we would come back. It would certainly be better for the children who eat and linger there with their parents.
