Haus Hölter bei Philipp - Restaurant Biergarten Lounge in Castrop-Rauxel

Schöner Biergarten direkt am Kanal gelegen, so dass man einen schönen Blick auf das Wasser hat. Der Biergarten ist liebevoll im Stil einer Strandbar eingerichtet bzw. dekoriert. Die Karte (Biergarten-Karte) hat abwechslungsreiche Speisen im Angebot. Von Salate über Fleisch bis Fisch ist für jeden sicherlich etwas dabei. Probiert hatte ich den Pulled Pork Burger, welcher wirklich lecker war. Der Service war ebenfalls aufmerksam und nett. Preise sind im Mittelfeld. Typische Biergartenpreise würde ich es beschreiben. Ich kann das Lokal empfehlen. Wir hatten einen schönen und leckeren Abend dort. 👍

Schöner Biergarten Kellner sehr nett. Essen Mangelhaft,die Currywurst war Ungenießbar kalt und sehr schlechte Qualität. Das Weißbier war zweimal in Folge Deutlich unter dem Eichstrich gezapft.Diese Tatsache ist uns bereits Mehrfach Aufgefallen und Inakzeptabel. Hunde sind mal Willkommen und mal nicht ganz nach Tageslaune der Kellner. Bewertung Naja

Have been to Hölter again for a long time. The price is not appropriate for baked potatoes with a side salad and paprika schnitzel with fries and a side salad. Salad very soggy. Fries and schnitzel affected by the dressing. We think it's a shame that there's only one standard dressing and the salad is rather unappealing. Nuts or grains sprinkled on top won't help either. The seating is great with a great view. It's a shame that the selection of dishes, for example when it comes to tarte flambée, has become less. Summary View great and seats, but prices too high.

We went there by bike because it was recommended to us. Were very positively surprised. Food great, beer garden great, service top. We'll be back

Super nice location on the canal. Unfortunately, the service is sometimes still lacking. In my opinion, the prices must reflect the quality, quantity and temperature of food and drinks 100 percent. Then you are happy to pay a euro or two more for the tasteful furnishings and decoration of this chilled out beer garden.

We used to go to the beer garden more often. The view and the open garden were beautifully landscaped. A clear view of the canal from pretty much all tables. Now there are huge wooden barrels in the middle of the beer garden that block the view of the canal for many guests. And there are very few tables available on the canal itself. Please wait. We had always wanted to visit Philipp's Hölter house - and then the three of us did so on a Saturday. Unfortunately, the adjacent parking lot is quite small, so you have to park a little further away. From the outside the restaurant is rather inconspicuous, but inside it is quite rustically furnished. After we were greeted in a friendly manner, our jackets were taken away from us. Throughout the evening we were served in a friendly, courteous and extremely attentive manner by the entire staff. However, there was also a bit of distance at times. The menu is not very large, but the quality of the food is excellent and attractively presented. We ordered halibut fillets, which were simply great. We can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience. Addendum: We have now eaten here for the second time and decided on the menu carousel. This time there was no sense of distance; all the employees were once again extremely friendly. The food was very, very good and the accompanying drinks were regularly refilled without being asked. Here too it was a very successful evening!

Great location! Castrop-Rauxel drove to this restaurant. There was no place in the restaurant itself, but a very nice place was offered in a wine barrel! Super fun experience! Food was great, service very friendly and the wine barrel was also great! Ample parking on site (free). It is located on the water where you can fully enjoy the terrace in the summer.

In the past, restaurateurs stated that they had to raise prices significantly (which is what happened) in order to “maintain quality”. For me, the quality of a restaurant also means that I get full in the restaurant I go to. That's why I go out to eat. As a man, I'm certainly not a "glutton", but what happened to me with Philipp is absolutely unacceptable. My wife and I wanted something to eat there and ordered a currywurst with fries on January 31, 2025. We then got a children's portion for a higher price, which left you speechless but not full. It is bad form to increase the prices in order to “maintain the quality” and then essentially halve the portions. If I'm still hungry after eating out, then something is wrong. It's a shame because it's a great atmosphere and very nice staff. The taste of the food is also very good. But probably more for cyclists, as unfortunately there are far too few parking spaces (even within a radius of 200m there is only a ban on stopping and parking).

We booked an appointment there for 3 people yesterday. It worked out perfectly. Table was reserved. The owner personally greeted us warmly and accompanied us to the table. He was very attentive. The food came and it was a delight. During the meal he came again and so did the chef and asked how satisfied we were. All in all the evening was a success. We would always love to eat there.

was there for the first time at the weekend, finally a German restaurant that has excellent cuisine and doesn't like to get stuck in the 50s or make a star chef and close again after 2 years. As a starter I had an asparagus soup with grilled shrimp, the portion size was just right, the taste and temperature were excellent. As a main course, roasted halibut fillet, steamed leeks and smoked mashed potatoes and Riesling sauce. The composition is very good, you can see how good mashed potatoes can taste here. Except for the shrimp and the spices, this is very regional cuisine, everything from our continent. You don't have to bring food from the remotest parts of the world to prepare a delicious meal. Very tasty, we will definitely be back. Prices are reasonable and not too high for the quality. Staff relaxed and friendly.

Das Essen war so gut und so unglaublich lecker, dass wir gerne mehr als fünf Sterne vergeben würden, wenn dies möglich wäre! Alles hat super zusammen gepasst, der leckere Aperitif, der gute Rotwein zum Essen sowie das leckere Tröpfchen Rum aus Costa Rica. Zum krönenden Abschluss noch einen Espresso. Been there for the first time. Staff and service very good from the start. The food was attractively arranged and tasted extremely good. Although there are fewer dishes to choose from on the menu than in other restaurants, the quality speaks for itself. I can absolutely recommend it and I will come back!

Coffee drinkers get coffee, others are unfortunately lost or have to ask on their own whether something else is possible. I would have liked to drink a warm cocoa, perhaps with a cream topping - usual elsewhere, not here. They gave me a cup, I could have cold milk myself, I was also a guest and a restaurant should have something like that. The cold cocoa was therefore lumpy. No go. I asked the waitress for tea because there was nothing at the buffet, there was tea upon request. Unfortunately, the salmon and the small sausages on offer were of poor quality and the bacon was not crispy... It was cold and you had to sit with a jacket on. A glass windbreak would have helped. The toilets were in the parking lot. What particularly bothered me, as I am a non-smoker, was that two ladies at a table started smoking. First, I noticed, they hadn't reserved and then... You could improve so much if you look at the things there, the location is great, but under the circumstances I experienced I won't be coming back Sorry

We were in Haus Hölter for the first time today. The atmosphere is very nice and has lots of small details. The food was very tasty and we were more than full. We would particularly like to highlight the service. Rarely have such friendly and courteous service been served. We took a look at the beer garden, which is also beautifully designed and located directly on the canal. We'll definitely be back.

A very nice restaurant with a beautiful beer garden that is right on the canal. I ordered the grilled pulled pork bum (burger) there, it was very tasty, especially the pulled pork, the service was very nice and accommodating if you come with larger groups a reservation makes sense😄

A very nice restaurant. This was my first time there and I would definitely come here again. Price performance is O.K. . There are more expensive restaurants. The beer garden is really nice and cozy and also covered for bad days. The portions are plenty, so we definitely got full. We spent around €20 per person, which is completely okay. On nice days you might want to make a reservation.

We had already eaten here 3 times. Dinner twice and recently for breakfast for the first time. The atmosphere is really nice and cozy, especially the direct view of the canal is something special. The food has always been delicious, even if sometimes a little bit basic. The last breakfast didn't really convince me for the price of €19.80. Although coffee, juice, tea and infused water were included in the price, I was missing fruit and vegetables from the selection, for example. Unfortunately, the sliced ​​baguette was quite hard and I personally didn't like the rolls. The rest of the breakfast offered was also rather standard. The waiters, on the other hand, are always very friendly, but on each visit we always had to wait a little longer until we were served.

All in all, it's always a pleasure to eat, drink and/or just hang out here. To be honest, we've only been to the beer garden in the summer, but I think it tastes just as good inside and the service team is super nice, quick and very attentive.

I haven't eaten so well in a long time. The service team was great, relaxed and still professional. We'll definitely be back. And we don't need to say anything about the beer garden, it couldn't be better.
