We went out to eat and it was delicious. But the cobwebs above our heads are disgusting. I absolutely have to get rid of them.

After a visit to the landscaped park, I had a delicious burger here. The interior, featuring vintage electrical equipment, delighted my own electrician's heart. The burger was also great, but the fries were even better.

The food was delicious, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. One star deducted because they served Sinalco Cola.

Unfortunately, it was simply abysmally bad. The staff were completely overwhelmed and unfriendly. We waited 45 minutes and still didn't get any drinks, even though there were enough waiters for the few tables. Of course, the food didn't arrive either, so I can't really give a good impression. It's a shame; the location could have been very appealing, but we left and won't be back...

What can I say? The service is very good and friendly. The food and drinks are very good ☺️ The atmosphere is very good, especially in the beer garden with the atmosphere of a landscaped park. We always enjoy it there.

A truly spectacular location in the shadow of the blast furnaces. Fast and friendly service with hardly any waiting time. The dishes on offer are very good value for money and exceptional. I had two large brown bread sandwiches with meatloaf and honey and sour cream sauerkraut with sweet mustard. Simply delicious!

The dessert was small but the best I've had in a long time...

We all enjoyed the food very much, and it was very stylishly presented. The only thing I could have done was have the Coke colder. We'd be happy to go again.

Two of us had a bite to eat there before the summer cinema screening. The schnitzel was quite large, and the pepper sauce that came with it wasn't bad, but for an extra €2.50, it could have been a bit more sauce. The fried potatoes were also well done; I added a bit of salt, but that's up to each individual. The fried black pudding was tasty, but could have been crispier, and the potato salad could have used a bit more salt. The fried onions were very good. The mini creme brulee for dessert was delicious and really well-priced! Friendly and fast service; we'll definitely be back.

Hardly any tables were served. All guests had to wait a very long time for their turn. Unfortunately, the waitress was very unfriendly and rude. We won't be back. Many guests won't be back either. Such poor service should be banned in this profession. A shame for the landscaped park.

The pepper sauce was a gravy with three peppercorns It didn't taste good either (it had nothing to do with a real pepper sauce). The fried potatoes were bland and partly burnt. So for the price of 18 euros, you'd expect something better. The location is suitable for a drink, but not for a meal.

It was extremely warm where we were seated, which the wait staff also noticed. Moving was only possible upon request. Everything else was great!

Worst experience I’ve had in a long time! We came in and were told we could choose: a buffet or order something from the menu. We wanted to order something from the menu, so when one of the waiters asked us what we wanted, we told her our choices. She then said ‘oh but you can also eat the buffet for the same price!’ (it was 15€ for the buffet). We told her ‘no thanks we want out choices’, she then said ‘no you should take the buffet’ and just told us they didn’t want us to take something else ??? So okay we took the buffet (that was mediocre at best, my sister even became nauseous after eating it….) and we asked for drinks: a cola, a ‘zitronen-shurle’ and a water. When we got them, the ‘zitronen-shurle’ was just a Sprite (from Freeway), the cola was also from Freeway AND both of them were flat (no gas AT ALL??) The waiter came and told us we could also get a dessert that was included in the buffet, we just wanted to go home but were in to drink a coffee. So we asked her ‘can we get a coffee as a replacement for the desserts?’, she bluntly told us ‘if you want coffee you shall pay for it ‘. I started laughing out loud. Only bright thing was the place, it was in an old electricity facility, which was very beautiful!

Nice people, good atmosphere, relaxing, delicious food, great, I always like being there. Great, thank you, kind regards, the Wiener schnitzel with real fried potatoes and the great salad was amazing. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. Thank you, it's always great, the staff are always helpful and very friendly, even in the heat. I'm glad that I can get there easily, whether it's the beer garden or inside, that's my number 1

Fast and good hospitality. Drinks and food were picked up quickly and brought very quickly. And that in a group of 14 people. Schnitzel with fried potatoes was tasty, but not a particular highlight. Good bourgeois. As a finale in the North Landscape Park it was completely okay.

Very good and attentive service, hardly any waiting time and there was even a second helping of stew to fill you up. Chili was prepared very tasty, gladly again 👍🏽

The food was very lovingly prepared and tasted delicious. The price-performance ratio cannot be topped. Highly recommended, the service was A1, and the cake dessert rounded off the main course nicely. Thank you for the wonderful experience “Here the guest is king”!

Restaurant and excursion restaurant directly at the main entrance to the North Landscape Park in Duisburg-Meiderich. The atmosphere in a former industrial building is interesting and rustic. However, it is not really clear why in the Ruhr region and, moreover, in the city where currywurst was invented, it is served as "Berlin style" and you shouldn't think about it any further. In any case, it was delicious.

Everything is a bit rushed. But I think the atmosphere is special. You're lucky if there's a table available.

Pleasantly surprised by the delicious food

Unfortunately, the food was not at all convincing. We let the pumpkin soup go back because it already tasted sour and like it had gone bad. The potato soup we got as a substitute was far too laced with lemon. We weren't sure whether it was still perfect either. We decided not to have the cake and coffee that we had actually planned afterwards because we no longer trusted the quality. However, the service staff were consistently friendly and ultimately there is nothing they can do about the poor quality of the food. - Next time we'll go to the curry bar opposite.

The interior has a special vibe due to its industrial history, which still shines through with the transformers in the center of the room. The food is of medium quality - we have tested the Flammkuchen, burgers, chicken wings. No harm done, but also nothing that you would do a specific trip for. If you stay at Landschaftspark for a walk or similar, you will get fed by the restaurant. Do not expect much more than that

The soups are delicious. There is real hot chocolate (not the slimmed-down, watery cocoa jelly, but made from chocolate). The menu is also otherwise delicious, although not too varied.

Very nice restaurant. The choice of food is not too large, but everyone will find something here. As a starter we had the helmet with pizza rolls and the three dips. It was delicious and a great start. The main course is the schnitzel. The meat was tender. The breading could have used a little more flavor. It tasted very much like butter. The dessert was also very tasty. The ambience is really beautifully done.

Tarte flambée very thin and crispy, tasted ok, but priced at well over €10, too expensive for what was offered. Likewise, the Latte Machiato at almost €5 was too thin/watery and not a professional milk foam, more like a construct made from unstable spray cream.

Nach dem Rundgang durch diesen herrlichen Landschaftspark brauchten wir eine Stärkung. Es gibt ein paar Foodtrucks aber wir wollten richtig sitzen und bedient werden. Die Bedienungen sind den Trubel gewöhnt, machen einen guten Job. Die Auswahl von Gerichten ist nicht riesig, aber mit einem guten Salat und einem Flammkuchen sind wir zufrieden.

Unfortunately, the pearl barley risotto was not seasoned and was too salty. The vegetables are cooked too soft. This is definitely not worth 15.50 euros. Price-performance ratio not ok. Next time I would prefer the chip shop opposite.

We ate here while visiting the landscape park. After the good reviews, we really expected a lot and were unfortunately a little disappointed. We had a schnitzel with fried potatoes and salad and a burger with fries and coleslaw. The schnitzel was only slightly thicker than cardboard and consisted mostly of breading. The glasses weren't really clean. There were still lipstick residue and greasy fingerprints on it. We ordered Diet Coke. After I complained about my glass immediately after receiving it because I absolutely don't like it when a glass isn't clean, I was given a normal Coke instead of the Light Coke I ordered. When it came to the burger, the top of the bun was so hard you could barely cut it. The patti was fried to death, hard and dry, the fries were partly sticky. Otherwise it was tasty. We go out to eat often and are perhaps a little spoiled by our regular restaurants, but you should at least expect clean glasses.

After a tranquil photo tour through the landscape park, we stopped at the main switch house to have a small snack. This turned into two hours and a sumptuous main meal. This is exactly how a restaurant should surprise me and take me away...

A beautiful atmosphere, with a well-stocked menu. No matter whether you're hungry or really hungry, you'll find what you're looking for here. The portions are also appropriate, so that you get full and the taste is also very good considering the price. However, the point came that I had to resort to what was on the menu (our staff will help you with allergens and additives) and I needed to know what was in it for a dish. At first the waitress was very friendly and said she had to ask. Well, you can't know everything by heart, but she often walked past us without saying a word. He looked at us several times, but didn't hear any sound. After almost half an hour I asked if she had found out something and I got the answer: I haven't gotten around to it yet! It wasn't crowded, my child was hungry, oh and so was I. We finally got a statement, then I asked something else about this dish and a curt answer came: Just like I just told them. Apparently she didn't want to go ask again. If you can eat anything without hesitation, you're in good hands here, but restrictions don't seem to be welcome, or we simply got the wrong service.

We had to hurry because all the seats were reserved. They kindly served us anyway. The burger was perhaps a little overdone but otherwise very good. The ambience is unique in the middle of the substation. The service was reserved professionally.

We had a tour of the landscape park, a great experience of industrial culture.

I can't say anything about the food because there was nothing. We booked the youth hostel in the landscape park for 8 days and assumed we would be able to eat here in the evening. Unfortunately that wasn't possible because it was either completely closed or the restaurant closed early or the kitchen closes early anyway. Opening times are tight at 8 p.m., but closing the kitchen hours beforehand...is and remains a mystery to me. Maybe the main switchboard doesn't need it, but if you can't rely on the opening times given on Google, it's stupid. Then you unfortunately have to rely on Lieferando because there are no alternatives. It's a shame, but you can't change it.

In the neighboring visitor center you can buy a doormat with "h "A warm welcome would be an exaggeration," that describes it quite well. We were already urged to order there at 5:15 p.m. because they wanted to close earlier today. Other visitors were immediately turned away. Food would have needed more salt If I hadn't needed the e-bike charging station we wouldn't have consumed anything.

I've known the main switch house for more than 25 years and always stop by there for a beer or a meal. Today we were there again and got good food at a fair price. The meals are well sized and everything tastes good too. The setting in the old building is certainly a must for technology freaks (like me), but people who are unfamiliar with technology will also feel at home here. If you come in the evenings and especially on weekends or on public holidays, you should definitely make a reservation by phone in advance. In summer, a space outside can become available after a bit of a wait. During the week in the afternoon or early evening you have a chance of getting a nice spot even without registering. The staff is nice and attentive.

After a hike through the landscape park, we went to the main switch house to eat. Great atmosphere, something different. The restaurant was about half full. The service was friendly and quick. The food, hamburgers and pumpkin soup, delicious and fresh. The price is reasonable and not overpriced.

Beautiful old factory building remodeled Duisburg Landscape Park I always drink my wheat here before taking a tour of the grounds

There is no need to say many words about the atmosphere in this historic building. It's simply amazing how much has been preserved from its time as a substation. Especially in the evenings, when it's dark outside, a very special atmosphere automatically arises (just like here). But everything else was fine too. We were there with a group and were looked after attentively and unobtrusively by the service. The dishes were all fresh and delicious. This applies to everything we ordered - whether schnitzel, couscous salad or hamburger. The range here goes from simple to sophisticated.

We were at the wedding fair today, in the power center, and thought to ourselves, "Hey, let's go have a coffee." Unfortunately, we really regretted it afterwards. Let's start at the beginning: when we came in, the waitress (1) looked at us and immediately disappeared towards the kitchen. Since it was quite full, we just sat on the benches at the counter. We sat there for 10 minutes before a waitress (2) came and handed us the card. We ordered a latte and a latte machiatto. Both tasted incredibly bitter, as if the coffee had been burnt. During the entire visit we were able to listen to the “bartender’s” stories and Tinder experiences (we totally matched, dude). It was also impossible not to listen as he was telling this to his friend loudly. By the way, the friend (wearing a thick down jacket) was standing behind the counter, which we found strange. At some point, waitress (1) came out of the kitchen again and hissed at the bartender to chat less and pay more attention to the drinks. The bartender was so engrossed in his stories that orders kept coming back. At some point his friend helped him and started pouring drinks. At some point, waitress (1) came to the counter and asked the bartender to finally concentrate on his job and process orders properly before she exploded. She held up a tea glass that was so little filled that even the tea bag wasn't completely covered. She then hissed at her friend that she had no business being behind the counter and should finally come after it. Unfortunately, that was also the sign for us that we were doing better. In general the atmosphere was like a canteen. There was no music and most visitors were annoyed by the chaos. If you wanted to pay you had to allow at least 10 minutes because waitress (2) felt like she was doing everything herself, she ran through the shop to process everything while waitress (1) reprimanded the bartender.

We had our Christmas party here with around 70 people. The food, service and ambience were great!

Unser 1. Besuch war klasse trotz 6 großer Hunde. Es war kein Problem für Bedienung und für die Gäste. Alle waren freundlich und nett. Deswegen hatten wir uns das Lokal noch einmal ausgesucht. Doch diese mal wurden wir nur noch einmalig geduldet und gebeten das nächste mal ohne große Hunde zu kommen. Kleine Hunde wären kein Problem. Wohl bemerkt unsere Hunde liegen ruhig unter dem Tisch und sind friedlich und gut erzogen. Es ist eine bodenlose Frechheit wie man uns dort behandelt hat 😡. Also man muss sich überlegen dort hinzugehen, große Hunde sind dort nicht willkommen . 😡

Waren das erste mal mit unseren großen Hunden da wurden wir sehr freundlich bedient war alles kein Problem weil unsere Hunde gut erzogen sind waren heute noch Mal da und heute hatte man uns zu verstehen gegeben das große da nicht willkommen sind daher würde ich mir überlegen da mit mit großen Hunden hinzugehen kleine Hunde wären kein Problem

I can only comment on the coffee, cake and service. Coffee and cake are okay 😉 This is mainly about the service. My friends and I were there for the second and last time today. We were in this restaurant for the first time about 3 weeks ago. Before we went into the restaurant, we asked the waitress whether dogs were allowed. We were told yes. Then we asked again whether a total of 6 large dogs would also go (a total of 3 owners with 2 dogs each), and we were kindly told yes. The waitresses were very impressed with our dogs and told us how well our dogs were trained. They are so calm and sweet. When we went there for the second time today, we learned something better. We sat down at the table that was assigned to us last time. The dogs settled down peacefully and we placed our order. Until then everything was okay. After a few minutes, dogs still calm and willing, a gentleman came to our table. We assumed that he belonged to the restaurant and was probably the cook. At least that's what he looked like. Unfortunately he didn't introduce himself. This gentleman then said to us that he would tolerate us today and then ask us not to come in next time or if he did, then without the big dogs. He would only allow small dogs, if at all. When we hopefully explained to them that we only went to the restaurant because we asked specifically last time and that we were assured that we would always be welcome here, which he actually doubted. My friends and I wouldn't have had a problem if we had been told the first time that big dogs were not welcome or that no dogs were allowed in general. Every restaurant has the right to do this and not everyone likes dogs. But deciding whether yes or no depending on your mood of the day isn't really professional. Then the question arises as to how small their small dogs are and at what point does their dog count as a large dog. Maybe you should put a yardstick outside and mark how small the dog can be. To be honest, whether you have small or large dogs, you either want them in the restaurant or you don't.

Desserts sind etwas teur. War nicht das ganz tolle. Trotzdem hat es geschmeckt.

Leider eine pure Enttäuschung! Hier ist man als Gast nicht wirklich willkommen. Mussten zunächst erstmal deutlich auf uns aufmerksam machen, nachdem mehrere Kellner uns in der Mitte der Terasse ignoriert hatten. Dann wurde vor der Bestellung erst losgelaufen und gefragt, ob es noch Essen gäbe ( um 20 Uhr an einem lauen Samstag Abend in den Herbstferien). Zurück kam der Kellner mit einer positiven Antwort aber dem patzigen Beisatz "Ist aber die letzte Bestellung!" Das gelieferte Essen war dann eigentlich ganz in Ordnung, allerdings wurde einem weiterhin das Gefühl vermittelt, dass man eher störte, da jeder Tisch, der sich leerte , sofort mit rasselnden Ketten angeschlossen wurde. Man dachte fast, wenn man sich nicht beeilen würde, würde man im Endeffekt auch angekettet. Beim Bezahlen um 21 Uhr, kam auf die vorsichtige Nachfrage, dass das Restaurant laut Internet doch erst um 22 Uhr schießen solle, die Antwort, dass es ja nicht mehr Sommer sei... Fazit: Beim nächsten Besuch im Landschaftspark werden wir nicht noch einmal stören und unser Geld dort ausgeben.

[21.05.2022] Das Restaurant im Landschaftspark Duisburg. Nach einem Tag dort und mit Hunger direkt am Besucherzentrum gelegen. Das Ambiente passt gut ins Gesamtbild, auf 2 Ebenen lässt es sich Speisen und trinken. Die Karte ist ausreichend groß und Abwechslungsreich. Leider war das Personal wenig aufmerksam und musste sich mehrfach für nicht gebrachte Getränke entschuldigen. Die Gerichte waren alle gut und warm, leider waren die Portionen nicht groß. Alles in Allem kann man hier gut essen und trinken. Trotzdem nur 4 Sterne auf Grund des wenig aufmerksamen Personals.

Super friendly staff, allowed us to take a seat in the outdoor to settle everything under the rainstorm. Tried their tomato soup after walking around for a while, it was great too. Once again thank you for the staff being so friendly, this helped a lot.

Geniales Ambiente und leckeres Essen. Aber die Öffnungszeiten sind eine absolute Katastrophe. Und das ist noch schön geredet. Deswegen auch nur 2 Sternchen.

Können nur den Service bewerten und dieser verdient null Sterne! Ja es war ein sonniger Samstag Mittag und ja, die Tische waren besetzt ABER es waren genug Kellner da. Nur keiner für uns. Wir wurden 20 Minuten gekonnt ignoriert. Haben dann einen Kellner gesucht und bei ihm direkt bestellt. Nach einer erneuten Wartezeit von knapp 15 Minuten sind wir dann ohne unsere bestellten Getränke auch nur gesehen zu haben wieder gefahren!

Wir hatten für eine Gruppe reserviert, das Essen wie auch der Menü Vorschlag in Vorfeld waren ausgesprochen Gut. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und dem Service

Trotz bestätigte Reservierung, wusste keiner Bescheid. Es war voll und wir kamen gesagt „sucht irgendwo“ ein Tisch! Hierzu muss ich sagen dass nach der Buchung im Internet Kamm der Bestätigung mit Androhung von Strafzahlungen sollten wir nicht erscheinen!!!!! Dies steht nirgends auf der Homepage nachzulesen. Zum Essen. Ich habe noch nie in mein Leben so ein beschi….. Schnitzel gehabt. Es schmeckte nur nach fett und war so dünn geklopft das Mann schon Mitleid mit den Fleisch bekam. Zu dem gab es etwas was sich als „ pfeffersoße ausgegeben hat. Es kostet extra und schmeckt nach nichts. Der Chef lief nur herum und machte die Gegend unsicher. Und kann der Laden nicht empfehlen.

Der Chef ist sehr freundlich und die Bedienungen auch.
