Several of us went to Hasenheim for a birthday party. Everyone was absolutely thrilled. The food and atmosphere were excellent. The staff were incredibly hardworking and super friendly. We'd definitely go back – highly recommended...

In a wonderfully quiet location and yet easily accessible, this restaurant with an adjoining large beer garden is worth a visit, and not just for its culinary aspects. There are various animal enclosures and a playground in and around the area. Absolutely suitable for families. Excellently trained staff and excellent home-style food round off the visit. We'll definitely be back

We used to love coming here, but now I can no longer recommend the restaurant. The schnitzel is now very, very thick, tough and totally dry - definitely not worth more than 20 EUR. With this poor price-performance ratio, charging 90 cents each for a side dish change or ketchup is downright impossible. The spaetzle were totally watery and soft. I'm sorry, I don't normally have high expectations and I'm actually always happy with a normal "schnitzel with spaetzle" 😃. But here it just really wasn't tasty, the very high price really suggests a different quality. I won't come back even though the ambience is very nice.

Went to the beer garden for the first time this year on February 21st in bright sunshine and 17 degrees. It was great again! Only the prices are now very high. But it's still worth it.

This is my first time here. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was the BEST. Service was polite and professional. We do not know German but the staff spoke English well enough to get us served. I had the pork knuckle and my wife had the port roast. Servings were too big to eat it all. We will be back soon

My husband and I ate here tonight. What a cute restaurant!! Very rustic. Looking forward to returning when the weather warms up so we can sit outside. The waiter and waitress who waited on us were very nice. Especially the waiter, he was a character! The food was delicious!!! And huge servings!! I highly recommend this restaurant!!

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Bonlanden rabbit shelter with four adults and two teenagers and we were completely satisfied. You have to look for a long time before you find a good restaurant like this that still offers good home-style Swabian dishes of this extremely good quality. The service was very friendly and attentive. Multiple ingredient changes were professionally recorded and everything was served exactly as ordered. The food was served quickly, even though the restaurant was busy. Particularly noteworthy is the onion roast - I have rarely eaten such a good onion roast. The dishes were beautifully prepared and simply tasted very good. Only the vegetarian Maultaschen could have been a little spicier. The atmosphere in the Hasenheim is rustic and cozy, so you feel very comfortable there. The prices are a little higher, but you get delicious food in decent portions. For dessert we had the Kaiserschmarrn with applesauce and an additional scoop of vanilla ice cream - both were also very tasty. We can only warmly recommend this restaurant and would be happy to come back.

You have to look for a long time until you find a good restaurant like this that offers good home-style Swabian dishes and, above all, of this extremely good quality. The service is very friendly, the food is always served quickly, even though there are a lot of guests, the food is wonderfully prepared and it simply tastes very good. We can highly recommend this restaurant. If possible, you should reserve a table early as this restaurant is always very busy. The atmosphere is also very nice, so you always feel very comfortable there.

Everything great! We held a family celebration at the Hasenheim and had a great day! A very nice atmosphere, delicious food and good service. I ordered the turkey breast & fries. There was only 1 piece of small meat. After half an hour my husband got hungry and ordered the same thing again. He got 2 large pieces of meat with fries. I asked the waitress why my portion was so small but she couldn't explain it to me. We paid the same price for the dishes even though mine was significantly smaller...very unfair

Quaintly beautiful, service on point and food great. You will be served quickly and provided with food. Unfortunately, as with everything, the price has skyrocketed, but the quality has remained consistently good. Lunch is quick and tasty 😋 perfect for working people. 👍🏻 Parking spaces are plentiful but can quickly run out in the summer. The atmosphere in the beer garden is nice and animals walk by every now and then 🐓

Beautiful location with a great outdoor area, particularly suitable with children. There are animals to admire, a small playground and lots of meadow to run around in. There is also a changing room. The food was very tasty and also plentiful. The service was friendly and the food came quickly. The only downside are the prices, but you do get something in return. Feels like you are sitting next to a farm. Food is very good. Great area for children to play. Service is friendly even with my poor German. Only took one star for the price/ performance ratio. Otherwise, a wonderful Biergarten if you like animals and quality food.

Unfortunately, the green tables and chairs are anything but inviting, and the food was oversalted and of average quality, but quite expensive. My conclusion: Save your money and look for another restaurant.

For years, food hasn't been as good as it seems in terms of price. Schnitzel partly fried underground. Of course it's a super cool location that is simply inviting and the service is also good. Otherwise great for a stop after bike tours.

Simply incredibly expensive!! My wife and I had lunch in the Hasenheim beer garden. We had 2 drinks, a dish and a green side salad for around €38. When we ordered, the waiter asked if we would like a side salad. Unfortunately this was not included in the meal. My wife just wanted a green leaf salad and paid €6.90 for it. A half cost €5.20. Stable! The purchase price is 50 cents and then to add more than 10 times that is crazy. Cheese spaetzle are on the menu at €15.90 😂. Food wasn't good either. Price-performance pure catastrophe!

Very nice beer garden with a petting zoo and playground. It's nice to sit on the lawn under shady umbrellas. However, the prices are extremely outrageous. The food is nothing special and not worth the overpriced price. The drink prices are also exorbitant. It's a shame, I probably won't come back. Therefore 2 stars deducted.

Still a nice location, but the prices are a disgrace. A not even outstanding salad with strips of turkey breast costs a whopping 19.90 euros, and the other dishes and drinks are also hopelessly overpriced. The beer garden would be ideal for families with small children, but who can afford such prices these days???

Sauteuer und Diskussionen mit dem Personal, das einem patzig erklären will, dass man seine Gerichte nennen kann, wie man will. Ich war schon zu früheren Zeiten dort und sehr zufrieden. Jetzt jedoch hatte ich ein Holzfällersteak bestellt. Es kamen zwei nackt auf dem Teller liegende Steaks. Normalerweise gehören zum Hölzfäller angebratene Zwiebeln, etwas Speck und Bratkartoffeln. Der sogenannte Geschäftsführer meinte mich dann belehren zu müssen, dass man seine Gerichte auf der Speisekarte benennen kann, wie man will. Egal, was man dann dafür liefert. Wenn das so ist, wird in Zukunft Kaviarplatte auf der Karte stehen und Currywurst mit Pommes geliefert, wenn man nicht genau liest. Und noch was Anderes: Ein Zwiebelrostbraten für 34 Euro in einer charmanten aber weit vom Schuss liegenden Gegend ist schon sehr frech.

It's actually a nice restaurant for families, unless you want to eat something besides the playground and watching the animals. The cheese spaetzle was rather dried out and the baked potatoes were unimaginative and a very small portion. But the saddest thing was the children's fries. They were too salty even for adults. The innkeeper says that the kitchen would salt the fries for children and adults at the same time, and salting them separately would not be justifiable given the effort involved. It's a shame, actually the health of the children and the many children's guests should be worth this manageable effort for the innkeeper.

Good food. Fun place for the kids. Beware of the cooks, if you ask for slices of onions and tomatoes, the waiter will just bring a whole tomato and a whole onion, for you to cut.

Very nice beer garden at the small animal breeders. Delicious food, nice rooms, outside in the garden mostly under umbrellas, a few chestnut trees. The employees were on their toes the whole time and fulfilled every wish. Would love to come back.

We have been coming for years because we live in the immediate vicinity. Everything that has been going wrong here for years gets worse every year. The service sets completely new standards. Because of the really beautiful complex, we still came back again and again, even though the price was completely exorbitant. The unfriendliness of the service, with a few exceptions, has been an issue for a long time and seems to be completely ignored by the management of the company. By the way, card payments are not welcomed here and you have to get an eye roll every time you don't pay the bill in cash for over €100. You don't have to hope to pay less with a family, but enough has already been said about the prices there in other reviews. If you can't get a seat on completely crowded days, you can't order anything like that. So no chance of something to drink or an ice cream for the children to stand at the playground with. Then you're better off sitting at a table in the blazing sun in the far corner to place your order, provided there's still something available, of course. It's really a shame that a location like this seems to be lost solely because of the management, at least when it comes to the quality of service. The store is still packed on sunny days. But there will definitely be different times and there will hardly be any regular customers here. We are now really looking for an alternative to the Hasenheim and we are actually very reluctant to do so, but the conditions there are no longer bearable.

Everything was great and a highlight in the region. In summer the beer garden is rustically beautiful and the conditions are always attentive and friendly. Only card payments are somehow only possible above a certain amount. That's a shame if you don't have any cash with you. I've driven past it a few times because I didn't have enough cash with me.

The food is always excellent, the location is great, even for kids. Service is sometimes difficult, the service is very unfriendly and last time we were asked every 10 minutes whether everything was still ok and whether we needed anything. It was really annoying and we paid after the 4th time and left. A pity

One of the most beautiful beer gardens far and wide. Unfortunately, this is shamelessly exploited by the operators. The food is subpar and grossly overpriced.

The food is good and so is the service. Unfortunately the prices have risen significantly. A portion of fries (I think) €5.70. It's always nice for children because of the beautiful playground.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere in the beer garden is very great.

I am very speechless about the way the service handled it. I ordered a salad that was served with 2-3 pieces of bacon. When I asked the waitress about it, she got a rude answer saying that it might be possible for a salad to be served with bacon. When I was paying, I told the waitress that their behavior was unfortunately not nice. If a salt with bacon or something else was served, it should also be on the menu or mentioned. We then get the answer that we are in Germany and you can't help it that my religion doesn't allow eating bacon. I didn't understand what religion or origin had to do with it. Dear service, there are also other reasons not to eat meat, such as if you are vegan. Unfortunately, this was the last visit to your restaurant where distinctions are made based on origin.

Unfortunately I cannot share the general enthusiasm. We wanted to have a nice meal there. All tables were free as we were there very early. The waiter came and told me.. The big tables are occupied. You have to get out of there. OK, and where can we go? No Answer. Then we sat down somewhere else and we then waited 25v min for her to take the order, which didn't happen The food we saw on the other plates was portioned very small. The price is already very high, even if it is clear that the raw material prices etc are higher. Nevertheless, the children's plate is not worth the price. Unfortunately I won't be coming here anymore.

The food was delicious and the beer garden is really nice but the prices are really steep now. I think almost €70 for two main courses and two drinks is really too much. I know it has become more expensive, but you can hardly afford something like that in the future

Advantages of a rabbit home: There are also critters for the children... great! The portions are sufficient (for large evening hunger) and the prices are local and reasonable. Service was absolutely not up to par. Of 7 drinks, 3 were delivered incorrectly. A good 45 minutes passed between ordering drinks and ordering food. When we were told that we would like to order, the waiter said "I'll be there soon", then went to the other waiter and talked to him and other guests for 5 minutes. Schnitzel with fries was good to eat. Salad too. The cheese spaetzle were literally swimming in oil/fat, unfortunately there wasn't much of the cheese to be seen. Salted prices - 2 adults and a small child each 1 meal and 1 drink just under 70€. Plates were pulled from the table without comment. No “everything was fine, it tasted good…” (We were there with another family, hence 7 drinks) The animals and the small playground are great for children to look at. Things could be reorganized inside. Looks very dark and sometimes too much on the walls.

Was there yesterday with my family. Service was good and quick. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as it used to be. Fries too hard and taste no longer what we are used to in the past. Prices are steep for a beer garden. The chairs are uncomfortable, old and in need of updating. It's a shame, everyone was disappointed 😞

Nice typically German restaurant with the possibility of having a meal in the open air, surrounded by lots of greenery, a space for children with games and animals to see. Friendly staff, dishes too heavy for my taste and prices a little high. Recommended for spending a nice day with friends with children.

It has a beautiful outdoor area that is great for children. The interior is rustic in design. The food came very quickly and tasted good. We had two different salads (roast beef and turkey) with bread. We've had enough. The service was friendly. Unfortunately there is only a changing table in the women's toilet. There are also a few toys in the women's toilet so you can have 3 minutes of peace.

What can you say other than really good food and a nice atmosphere. So really good and we will come again. Now why not 5 stars? Water only 0.4l, no bottles and the prices for some things are just very steep. So on certain things it is clear and understandable. As in the picture the serve and serve. The price also matches the dish. By the way, very tasty. But it's not enough for exactly 5 stars.

Nice beer garden. Unfortunately we got the main course and salad at the same time, the table was far too small for that... The food was ok but very bland and everything was covered in sauce!

Great place to have a meal or just some drinks. Lots of outdoor seating with quick & friendly service. There is a large outdoor play area for kids, and they can view some farm animals right next to it. My Zwiebelrostbraten was delicious, tender, and cooked to order.

You can get really hearty home cooking here. Simply delicious and for the price you really get something on your plate. Friendly and quick service. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of my duck. I've never seen a plate like this before. Very rich and simply good.
