Hanoi Quan in Meißen

Avoid this place. It's owned by an elderly Vietnamese couple. The prices aren't expensive, but they really don't know how to cook, and the food is terrible. Everything we ordered was a bummer.

A real insider tip in the old town of Meissen! We ate at Hanoi Quan and were thrilled: The beef and chicken pho soups were not only delicious, but also generously portioned – absolutely authentic and fresh! The value for money is truly hard to beat. The waiter, who is also the owner, was incredibly friendly and attentive. What was especially cool was that he served us home-grown fresh chilies and Sri Racha sauce for free – that's a rare find! The drinks (e.g., a 0.4l Coke) are also very reasonably priced – probably thanks to the in-house drinks market. The restrooms are new, very clean, and free for guests – there's a small fee for non-customers, which is completely fair. Another nice moment was when a gentleman came by and spontaneously paid the bill for a hostel guest who couldn't pay in cash (note: card payments are not accepted). Conclusion: A highly recommended Vietnamese snack bar with heart in Meißen – we will definitely be back!

Personally, I can only advise against eating there. The man of the house brings the menu and immediately asks what you would like to eat without first getting an overview. When the food was being prepared, it smelled like old oil and didn't exactly whet your appetite. The peanut sauce, whatever it was (milk and water bound with starch, plus chopped old peanuts) was a very terrible horror. The cooked rice was ok but still not worth a second star. The duck meat was just like you heard when minced...chewy! Bottom line: never again!

One of the worst Asian restaurants I have visited. Food tasteless and underseasoned. The rice and sauce were bland, but edible. But the worst thing was the meat. Undercooked, hard and just not good. I advise against it.

Got completely wrong food. Unfortunately it was already too late and we ate it anyway... unfortunately it didn't taste good at all.

Rather not. Snack bar, but nothing more. You don't have to have it a second time. Not very inviting inside, uncomfortable and cold. It might work outside in the summer. The food is ok, but nothing more.

I can only judge the sour spicy soup.

Absolutely underground, I have never had such bad Vietnamese food, never again!!!

The waiter was very nice. We were warmly welcomed. I had fried chicken with vegetables and rice. The sauce had a strange taste. I don't know what kind of spice that was supposed to be. But everything else was okay. A restaurant is no longer a snack bar. But there was a lot of choice.

Nice ambience, great food, very nice service, would be happy again

Terrible food, the mango curry sauce just tasted like diluted mango nectar and the red curry sauce like diluted coconut milk, the vegetables only consisted of onions and carrots, the rice was sticky, absolutely subterranean quality!

The prices are good. But the service is really bad. The salesman, who also seems to be the boss, has no patience and shouts at the customers if they are a little unsure when ordering.

Everything OK. Were served nicely by the boss. Food good and drinks cool. Price/performance fits.

Lecker Essen ,waren schon paar mal da und jedes mal wird man freundlich empfangen und immer wieder ein nettes Wort vom Chef .Preis Leistung stimmt total .👍👍👍

Ansich nicht schlecht... Nur die Portionen könnten mehr sein... Also für das Geld erwartet man doch schon ein bißchen mehr. Die Bedienung ist Grotten schlecht. Sehr aufdringlich und wissen von der eigenen Karte ist nicht vorhanden. Uns wurde ein schreib Block hingelegt wo wir alles drauf schreiben sollten was wir essen und trinken wollen... Hier sollte sich doch mal was ändern...

Stabiler Asia Imbiss! Super nette Leute. Die WanTans kann ich sehr empfehlen. Außerdem eine ordentliche Weinaußwahl😋

Der Besitzer war ein richtiger Sonnenschein. Auserdem: gutes Essen, preiswert, schöne Toiletten und man konnte auch draußen sitzen.
