Halal Food in Meckenheim

We visited the restaurant during Cucina Povera week and were delighted. It was like a trattoria in the Italian countryside: simple, delicious, and straightforward. We hope to repeat the week soon and thank you for the lovely evening.

Very good food, friendly service. Rustic restaurant

Beer garden reserved for 6 p.m., menus and drinks arrived quickly, waiter promised to come back immediately, wanted to bring drinks to another table first. The beer garden was filling up, the waiter no longer had an eye for us and took orders from guests who arrived after us. At least two tables that were occupied after us had already received their food. At around 6:50 p.m. three dishes finally arrived, the fourth, a lasagne, finally arrived at around 7 p.m., was charred on the edge and correspondingly dry. The worst lasagna I have ever eaten! Since I was hungry, I ate them, also because I didn't feel like having to wait for food again. Pointed out to the waiter that I didn't make a reservation for 6 p.m. and then had to wait an hour for the food. Looking at the rest of the lasagna, he mumbled: It seems to have been tasty. Not a word of apology! We have eaten there many times and have always been very satisfied with the service and the quality of the food.

Delicious Asian cuisine at a fair price. We received a friendly welcome and the service was very attentive. We'd be happy to come back – definitely recommend it! 😊

More like 3 than 4 stars. In my opinion, the quality has already declined in the last year, which is a real shame. The gyro used to be consistently good, but now it's not always like that. Maybe I'm wrong, but they now serve more fries and less meat. We'll try it again, though... Addendum: Significant improvement on subsequent visits, especially the gyro was very good again. And the owner is very friendly anyway.
