The food (roast pork in dark beer sauce with sauerkraut and dumplings) was delicious. Since it gets very crowded, especially in good weather, you should reserve a table.

The food was good and inexpensive. Home-brewed, fine beer, beautiful location. Unfortunately, none of this could overcome the extremely unfriendly and incompetent service. 3 wrong orders, which we still had to consume, careless service and no requests for changes were too much for more than one star.

Homemade beer with a direct view of the Rhine

We went to this restaurant yesterday and ordered pork knuckle. It used to always come with sauerkraut and potatoes or dumplings. This time we only got the meat and a piece of black bread, and the whole thing was even more expensive than before. We also had to order extra sauerkraut and potatoes for €5 each. Overall, it was quite expensive and unfortunately not as good as it used to be. We used to always get a salad before the main course, but this time no salad was served. No further vaccination.

After many years, we wanted to try it again—we should have left it alone. Unfortunately, the food isn't good at all. The kohlrabi, which I was really looking forward to, was completely woody and inedible. The meatloaf tasted like shit. My partner's ham hock wasn't crispy at all. So, we definitely won't be coming back... What a shame...

We were there today with a total of six people. I sent my cooked cheese schnitzel back twice. The first time, the schnitzel and the sauce were lukewarm, almost cold. The fries were hot. The second time, the fries were warm, the schnitzel lukewarm, and the cooked cheese sauce cold—like, really cold! The third time, the fries were lukewarm—and the schnitzel and the sauce were also lukewarm. The sauce tasted like nothing, and the schnitzel was just as tasteless. I get much better food in our canteen and don't have to pay €16.20 for such a terrible schnitzel and fries. We definitely won't be going back!

Hagenbräu's special beers are always something special. Freshly tapped, they taste delicious and have a special flavor. You taste and experience something different/new every time.

Extremely bad service. After 10 minutes, someone finally came to clear the table. They asked if we wanted something to eat and if the menus could be brought. The result was that after 25 minutes, there were still no menus. People sat down at the next table and were served IMMEDIATELY. SORRY, IF YOU DON'T WANT OUR MONEY, YOU DON'T GET IT. WE GOT UP IMMEDIATELY AND WENT TO A COMPETITOR. The food was on the table after 25 minutes and was about three-quarters cheaper....

I'm pleasantly surprised. Onion rings with garlic dip... The rings weren't oily or greasy. Wonderfully crispy. The dip wasn't too garlicky, just a bit salty here and there. Otherwise, it was excellent. Had the daily special, goulash with spaetzle. Just like home... spaetzle cooked to perfection, not overcooked. Great price, enough quantity (for me)... Delicious bottle of rhubarb spritzer... I'll be back.

The first and last time. I was there for lunch with a good friend. The waitress was anything but friendly. She brought us the menu and immediately asked us in a rude and curt tone what we wanted to drink. There wasn't even time to look at the menu to see what drinks were available. For dinner, we each ordered schnitzel. Oh, and the side salad cost an outrageous €4.90 extra. No decent appetizers to choose from. What they do have is completely overpriced. What I noticed was that the waitress in question coughed into her hand several times while clearing the tables and then brought ordered food to the guests' tables. It culminated in her wiping a table with a rag and then bringing drinks to the guests' tables. While we ate, I tried not to think about the oddities we noticed. The schnitzel was far too expensive, and the waitress's working practices were absolutely unhygienic. Not again!

At first, despite the small number of guests, we had to wait quite a long time for both the menu and the opportunity to order something (there were few occupied tables, and the waiter preferred cleaning the tables to serving the guests). The waiter didn't really know what we were ordering and asked if it was really what it said on the menu and what it was. He was generally quite unfriendly and seemed in a bad mood. None of the beers were drinkable. We couldn't order any more drinks, and when we finally ordered something, it never arrived. When we tried to pay by card, but there was only a brief grumble. At the end, he handed us the bill, which we could NOT pay by card – other guests had paid by card, and a machine was available. This was our first and last visit.

NO RECORDING, NOT RECOMMENDED! We went there for lunch today. The prices are pretty steep for what you get on your plate. Three small herring fillets with two boiled potatoes cost 13.90, half a roast chicken, which was probably still a chick, with a handful of fries cost 14.50. Everything else we ordered was also very reasonable. Above all, my vegan pretzel pizza was almost inedible, and if I hadn't been so hungry, I would have sent it back immediately. The tomato sauce on top tasted like spiced ketchup, so you couldn't taste the toppings at all, and when I asked the waitress, they confirmed it was barbecue sauce. Bottom line, this was our first and last time there. The Italian restaurant next door is a hundred times better.

The beer was good, but the food was terrible. We had roast pork with dark beer sauce, which you had to search for on the plate. The roast pork had dark, dry edges and tasted like it had been reheated three times. The value for money is absolutely not there!

We were at the restaurant today as part of a company outing with over 100 guests. I've honestly never eaten a worse cooked cheese schnitzel. The two small schnitzels (presumably convenience foods) were cooked in a deep fryer. The "cooked cheese" was a thin sauce in a jar. It lacked the flavor and creaminess of a cooked cheese. The fries were the best. All in all, worse than in most cafeterias or chip shops. The service was overwhelmed by the number of guests. Actually a great location. But nothing was done with it. You wouldn't go back there voluntarily.

A dark beer was brought to the table with almost no foam. The taste couldn't have been worse. No complaints were possible, as there was no waiter in sight. After the meal, the fries were terribly spoiled and over-salted. Upon payment, I was offered a replacement beer. The same problem occurred at the neighboring tables. They were also offered a replacement. What nonsense... So... You're not here, as the Palatinate people say. FIND ANOTHER RESTAURANT.

We were there with four people on a Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. in perfect beer garden weather. The server came relatively quickly and took our drink order. Since we didn't yet know what we wanted, the server asked for another call. The drinks took a long time; even the server was surprised. At 8:50 p.m., our food order was taken after we had intercepted the server. Five minutes later, the server returned and told us that the kitchen had been closed for 10 minutes, even though the menu stated that the kitchen was open until 9:00 p.m. We weren't the only ones who felt this way. We were fobbed off with the words, "At least the beer was cheaper," since it was happy hours.

There's no separation between smoking and non-smoking areas. All the windows are open, and the smoke drifts right inside. The fish wasn't salty at all, and there was no sauce. The customers at the bar were drunk and talking loudly; one even fell over. The beer is delicious. So come on over, hold your nose, cover your ears, and enjoy the beer.

Unfortunately, the food didn't come close to the quality of the beer. The meat was dry and lacked any flavor. The gravy was from a packet at best. The view and the beer are recommended.

I had the Jägerschnitzel and wasn't really impressed. Ready-made sauce, unsalted fries, and a schnitzel that tasted like it came from a takeaway. If a trained chef is working there, maybe they should look for a new one. He can't even slice mushrooms properly. I really hate giving bad reviews, but if my wife can make the same dish three times as well at home, something's wrong. At least the beer was good.

The selection of beers is excellent. We were also very happy with the food, you should remember that we are in an inn/brewery and not in a 5 star restaurant. The service was very friendly. Tip..Verdauerle Moor Pear from Scheibel is only recommended (fine brandy by the way:))

Used for outdoor dining today. You sit directly on the Rhine promenade. There is one extensive menu - also with regional cuisine. Various types of beer - home-brewed. The Rheinhessen plate is hearty and for those who are very hungry. The grilled chicken breast with grilled vegetables and rösti is also delicious. Quality and quantity cannot be complained about. The service was friendly, attentive and accommodating.

A casual restaurant directly on the Rhine that impresses with its simplicity. The furnishings are simple but cozy - what counts here is not the chic, but the feeling of being welcome. Views of the Rhine are included in the winter garden seating area, for example.🙂

It's a shame, I expected more. Beer: The Märzen was good, the Radler was thin and sweet. Food: Sauerkraut was delicious. Liver dumplings are a matter of taste, too soft for me, I didn't like much of the liver. Tappas. Meatloaf had the consistency of meatloaf. Roast well cooked. All the sauces tasted like powdered brown sauce. Sometimes with onions, sometimes with imperceptible black beer. Cauliflower with ? sauce somehow doesn't fit. Service: Probably too busy again and lack of staff. So bring your time. However. Reorder a drink - I'll be back soon, 2nd attempt - I still have to do it, food served, glasses are empty, no demand and we didn't want any more. One of us finished, the second almost finished, then asked if we wanted something more to drink. Thankfully declined but just to be on the safe side I immediately asked for an invoice. It came quickly. Ambience: We sat outside, extending to sidewalk. Was good. Unfortunately there were too many guests in the toilets or the cleaning was not adjusted accordingly. Paper on floor, sink area wet, one toilet seemed half blocked. Conclusion: Brewery is something different, location is great, but unfortunately not a good stop and not worth a second visit.

After 20 years we were back at Hagenbräu to meet work colleagues. The quality of the food was poor, the schnitzel was like a breaded roulade, the cooked cheese was thin as water and the amount of fries was minimal. The VW Currywurst was a mini sausage with mini fries for 13.20 at a huge price. The beer used to be better too. After a short time it no longer had any foam. The empty plates weren't cleared away for half an hour. We would only get the second drink after calling the restaurant. Our conclusion: never again Hohenbräu

Today we ate at the Hagenbräu Gasthaus, the taste was 6, in some places there is better food at a snack bar, the sauce from the side salad was pure acetic acid, a rose wine was served in the wrong glass, the poor winemaker ruined the wine.

Been coming here for years. Nice and attentive service. Beers such as Hagenbitter and beer liqueur are very good, always look out for the seasonal special beers. Food, whether fish, meatloaf, sausages, soups etc. also leaves nothing to be desired. Tip: tapas or pretzel pizza.

Mark dumpling soup was without Mark dumplings but some tasteless finished product in broth, schnitzel 0815 fries lukewarm salad without dressing...once and never again.

We had salad and marrow dumpling soup as a starter, salad was okay, soup was very bland. Main course sausage salad with fries, was ok but soaked in sauce/dressing. Main course Jägerschnitzel with fries, fries as standard everywhere. But the schnitzel was soaked in fat and therefore hardly edible. The service wasn't particularly friendly either... I found the whole thing with a normal drink for €50.00 pretty steep.

We were there yesterday and I have to say it was disappointing. The service was very nice, it wasn't her fault. We ordered the rump steak with herb butter and fries 3 times and asked that it be prepared “English”. What came were 3 fried shoe soles. I complained about it immediately, my sons were hungry and ate it. I then also received a new version in English, but unfortunately it was only moderately warm. My friend's schnitzel wasn't anything special either, I think convenience food. Conclusion: I don't have to go there again, there is much better food in Worms and the surrounding area. P.S. The ceiling lighting could also use a wiping cloth

I had lunch at Hagenbräu last Tuesday with a friend who was visiting me. Since I eat vegetarian, I ordered cheese spaetzle as the selection was very sparse. What I was served was far from what good cheese spaetzle is. They were ready-made spaetzle with a white, mushy sauce that was not very digestible. The notice I gave to the waitress about this flaw apparently didn't reach the kitchen. With such inedible food you should ask the chef to have the inedible food tested..... Hagenbräu charges €12.90 for such inedible food I say at this price, with this quality - outrageous price!! I will definitely not give this restaurant a second chance.

We don't go there that often because it's a long drive, but it has to be 2-3 times a year. This time too we were not disappointed. The prices are absolutely right, as the performance is also right. And the dog is allowed too.

It's a shame that you can't rate the drinks separately. I have rarely drunk such excellent beers. You can tell that the flavors have not been filtered out. The pork knuckle was dry and poorly seasoned. I suspect it had been sitting in the fridge for several days before it was warmed up for me. For the beers it is worth visiting the Hagebräu inn. You (man) can test it like a good wine.
