Hafenkombüse in Hamburg

After a change of operator and a different concept with a counter for hot and cold dishes next to the menu, it's once again a worthwhile visit.

A nice cafeteria/restaurant with plenty of harbor charm. The harbor caboose is relatively well hidden on the western station canal at Harburg's inland harbor. The interior of the cafeteria is simply chic and modern and the large windows look directly out over the water and harbor. The prices are cheap, but unfortunately I didn't have much luck with my food. In my opinion, there is too much effort here to give the dishes a modern touch, which is why there is too much experimentation in the kitchen - for example with red cabbage in a burger... Conclusion: The food isn't necessarily my thing, but the location of the harbor galley is great and it's cheap too.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hafenkombüse, and I must say that the experience was truly delightful. From the moment we entered, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the delicious food. The menu offered a variety of choices, all of which were expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Hafenkombüse is definitely a place you can visit with a group of friends or family members. The friendly atmosphere, combined with the scrumptious food, creates the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The guy behind the cashier was undoubtedly a standout, leaving a positive impression on everyone in our group. Overall, I highly recommend Hafenkombüse for its delicious cuisine and the friendly staff who adds a personal touch to the dining experience.

In der Regel schmeckt es sehr gut. Gelegentlich ist es auch mal nur mittelmäßig. Aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt.

The idea is great, unfortunately the implementation is not that satisfactory. €8.90 per dish, small portions. Out of 5 dishes, 2 mostly very similar cold bowls. No chance of getting full with the soup. There is no bread either. Menus are not posted. What is there is described on the top of the counter in such a way that people shorter than 180cm cannot read it. I would be happy if this developed even better. Because an offer like this is basically a great fit for the location. But unfortunately the price-performance ratio doesn't suit our team at all.

Wenn man es ersteinmal gefunden hat, gar nicht schlecht. Mehr Mensa als Restaurant. Dafür geht es schnell und das Essen war sehr lecker.
