H-Run's Kitchen in Ulm

We were there yesterday. We had reserved a table for 5:30 p.m. We arrived on time and were seated at a tiny table on the edge that was in the way. Like three other tables, we still hadn't received a menu after 40 minutes, nor were we asked for a drink. Only after asking did a waiter, annoyed, come over to us and then reluctantly serve all four tables. Sorry, we've never had such a dining experience for these prices. Instead of serving us, they moved the furniture and tables. But it was delicious, no question. Only three jugs, and not again for a while.

I visited Abyssinia in Ulm and I have to say – it was something completely different. Ethiopian cuisine offers truly interesting and, for my European palate, unfamiliar flavors. The combination of spices and ingredients was exceptional, slightly spicy, but absolutely delicious. You can tell that the food is prepared with a great deal of authenticity. The staff was very friendly and attentive; I felt very welcome. At first glance, I found the prices a bit high, but when you consider that many of the ingredients and spices must have been specially imported, it's ultimately understandable. Overall, an exciting culinary experience that's definitely worth trying – especially if you're open to new flavors.

Can you even give it 0.5 stars? Abysmal service, mediocre food, awful ambiance. Never again.

Friendly staff and good, home-style cooking in a traditional atmosphere. The schnitzel and roast beef with onions were excellent!

A quick rest stop with a proper restroom—then a pick-me-up for the journey. After the waiter told me I had to order a takeaway coffee at the bar, I waited there for another 5-10 minutes until the young waiter was finished typing on his phone. Afterward, I got a half-full mini cappuccino for €4.10. Next time, I'll get it from the vending machine for €1, unfortunately, as I get more out of it.
