We went there again, and this time it was delicious. We got the food on time. (2022) Today we went to Gute Burger, and I have to say: It was really delicious! 🍔 The burger tasted great – freshly prepared, juicy, and well-filled. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely acceptable. After three years of going there regularly, I really want to give it a big thumbs-up: The quality is consistently good, and I've been satisfied every time. Overall, a clear recommendation – I'll be happy to come back! (2025)

The establishment itself is fine, and there are plenty of staff on hand. The burgers are relatively expensive, especially for what you get. A sauce change, for example, costs an additional €1. You can then calculate the price of the meal yourself (burger + min. €5.60 for fries + €1.20 for sauce). The drink is then free with the "meal." Unfortunately, the 45-minute wait was very long, and we were rewarded with a mediocre burger at best.

I was there on a hot sunny wednesday. The place was empty, I was one of the first customer there around 4 PM. The place wasn't good ventilated, there was no air conditioning not even an electric fan. The decorations were great but it was hard to enjoy when you're endlessly sweating. I didn't sit outside because it was equally as hot and at least inside I had some shade. Now let's talk about the food, well, I don't want to eat there anymore unless I really have to. I ordered the "Bad Bison" , the patty was over-grilled and thin, I wondered why there were so many options with double-patties then I saw their patty. It wasn't juicy, you can taste the over grilled pepper and the sauce was just a tiny bit.... *squirt* just like that. And the buns didn't help, there were really nothing good with the burger. What you see in their website, nope, it was NOTHING like that. The drink was also tasteless, too many ice that it diluted the taste. I get it was a hot day, but at least compensate by pouring more tea with so many ice. I just can't help to sake the feeling that this restaurant is cutting corners trying to balance the budget. Or maybe it was a slow day and they just didn't care. Either way, it's not worth it.

Tasty burgers but for the price (10-14 euro) they are a bit small so either order the double version and/or a side. The crispy chicken is OK but definitely not crispy. I also think an additional waiter would have been helpful.

I came here with my husband, and the food and staff were all 10/10. We had to pay in advance because we wanted to eat outside, because unfortunately, the restaurant had experienced people simply leaving without paying after ordering and eating...sad that we have to experience something like that these days.

I had the double cheeseburger on the menu – it tasted really good! The patty was a bit too crispy around the edges, but overall it was very tasty. The homemade fries were a real highlight: crispy, flavorful, simply delicious! The homemade lemonade was also super refreshing. The service was friendly and attentive. It's not exactly cheap, but the quality is still decent.

We made a reservation online the day before, and when we arrived, we were escorted directly to our reserved table without having to wait, even though it was quite busy. The lady who escorted us to our table gave us a very pleasant welcome, even though indicating the table with her finger and then going to the counter wasn't entirely elegant, but it was still perfectly acceptable considering it was a Friday and the place was packed. Our order was taken quickly and very pleasantly, and the drinks arrived right away. Unfortunately, the wait for the two burgers, two fries, and two sauces took 30 minutes. In my opinion, that was way too long for two burgers, and I wondered if they could only grill two patties at once. The fries weren't anything special, but they were definitely edible. My wife thought the burgers were still relatively "raw." Unfortunately, there was a deficiency that made the burger uneatable, and I couldn't finish it. When I asked for the bill without commenting on the burger, the waitress spontaneously asked me if there was anything wrong, which I thought was great. After I explained the problem, she apologized and took back both plates. She then spoke to the manager on her own initiative. She then came back to us and canceled the bill as an apology. Super nice! The place itself is a real eye-catcher with the walls and the trees. However, I found the tables to be very cramped (logically, they're profit-driven, which is understandable). Due to the open kitchen, you can unfortunately hear the background noise, both from the grill and the complaining manager 😂 I'm deliberately not mentioning the issue because it was most likely an isolated mistake, as I haven't found any information about it in the reviews. Mistakes happen, especially on busy days. The place will take care of it themselves, and if they don't, they're just shooting themselves in the foot.

The name really says it all this time! I've been to a lot of places, but this was a GUTERBURGER for the first time in a long time! The fries are homemade, and you can tell. Angus meat is used in every burger. The atmosphere is really pleasant, and the chairs are very comfortable, but what I didn't understand were the Japanese accents :-) You wouldn't immediately think you're getting a burger here.

The burger itself tasted good, but unfortunately, they didn't make the sauces themselves, which I don't think is the specialty of such a good burger place. If you want a good burger, this is definitely the place for you, but it wasn't quite the taste experience. I recommend Burger Industries in Heiden, where the sauces stand out and make the burgers something special.

For the price, you can't complain. The food was fresh and the patties were cooked well. Unfortunately, the industrial sauces were a killer. They really should switch to making their own.

Unfortunately, there's little choice for vegetarians – only one burger option, a falafel patty. It was a bit dry, and the burger itself was also somewhat poorly topped. The fries were very good, and overall, it was still a good-sized portion. The service was friendly and courteous, and our order was taken quickly and brought to our table.

It's a shame, The burger wasn't cooked all the way through, which unfortunately wasn't the first time this has happened. Also, my colleague overcharged me because I only had a single burger, which was billed as part of my meal. I didn't realize that until later, though. What a pity.

Food was okay. I asked for tap water three times. Apparently, it was always forgotten. They want to sell small glasses of water for €3.50.

Nice atmosphere, orders are taken quickly. Unfortunately, the food wasn't very hot. The burger could be a bit juicier (the meat was very dry). A little more sauce would have rounded it all off. What's really cheeky is that you have to pay €1.20 for an extra sauce, and it's served in a paper cup. The waitress didn't even ask if you enjoyed it?! None of that!

Unfortunately, despite some positive aspects, I can only give the place two stars. The burger was really delicious, and the waitress with the glasses and red hair was friendly and attentive. However, there were a few things that had a very negative impact on my visit. Our table was still dirty when we arrived – covered in food scraps and crumbs. It was only cleaned upon request. That can happen; it's human nature. But what happened next was, unfortunately, completely disappointing. There was a heavily charred piece of fries in my burger. When I asked the gentleman with the beanie and beard about it, there was no apology, no regret – just an indifferent "Yeah, it shouldn't be like that." The waitress, on the other hand, at least showed understanding, even if she didn't explicitly apologize. I think, in an incident like this – I bit into a piece of coal and couldn't get the taste out of my mouth all day – a small compensation would have been absolutely appropriate. For example, a drink or a small gesture that shows that the guest is taken seriously. Even a "We're sorry" would have been enough for me. I also found the seating arrangement rather confusing. You don't really know where to sit, and you feel like you're being watched – either because you're watching others eat or because new guests are checking to see if you're about to get up so they can sit down. I also think it's a shame that Coca-Cola, Fanta, and similar products are offered. Switching to alternatives like Fritz-Kola Zero or Sinalco would be better – these drinks are also popular and come from manufacturers that don't support problematic corporations. A more conscious selection would significantly enhance the offering. There are many places that can do this. Overall, it's a shame, because the food had potential – but the overall experience was unfortunately disappointing.

My husband and I went to Gute Burger for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. A very friendly waitress initially recommended a few burgers to us, which really tasted fantastic. The waiting time was pleasantly short and the food was definitely a 10 out of 10. The entire staff was super welcoming and the atmosphere in the shop is simply beautiful, we were particularly impressed by the lovely floral decorations. This will definitely be our favorite restaurant in Westfield Park. 🫶🏻👍🏼

I haven't enjoyed this standard in a restaurant for so long. The burgers are juicy, full of flavors and the buns are soft but not soggy. We had the garlic fries which are absolute genius!! Never had such good fries before. The service (there was a young woman serving) was incredibly authentic and completely in her element. I have never been served so kindly, intensively, but not at all in a disruptive manner. Quick tip to the boss: the combination of staff deployed on April 30, 2025 at 12 p.m. reaches new standards! Feel free to praise! The ambience was of course the incentive to go in. Extremely well implemented! Conclusion: preferably always, every day and always with pleasure!

Terrible experience. First and last time visiting Guteburger. I ordered the burger with nachos, and it was disgusting — the nachos tasted old and stale, like they had been left out for days. The burger was drowned in cheese, completely hiding any real flavor. The portions are ridiculously small for the price. On top of that, the staff was rude and unprofessional — they clearly have no idea how to deal with customers and urgently need proper training. The place itself looks okay but is tiny and overcrowded. We couldn’t even find a table and ended up eating our takeaway in the food court. Definitely not worth the money or the effort. Would not recommend.

Good burgers - delicious fries. Unfortunately it was a bit chilly to sit and eat - it was drafty. Otherwise we will go there again.

We would not recommend this “restaurant” due to various deficiencies, particularly the food served. As a group of 4, everyone barely had enough space for their food, which was absolutely not what we expected or the price quoted. The service staff was okay, but nothing special and for the price there could have been a smile. Frankly, we all didn't like the food. The sauces as well as the fries had a weak taste and the meat was drowned out by a number of cheese sauces, which made the overall taste experience not particularly pleasant. Overall, the atmosphere was okay, but the pink “palm trees” were still very irritating. Therefore no recommendation, the food really wasn't worth it in terms of taste.

Food was OK meatball in a bun?! Nothing in comparison to other burger chains - service tried hard and friendly / trying to make the best of the situation... After ordering I had to go to the toilet (it happens sometimes) no own toilet you just go to the public toilets (in front of C&A the next ones are -3 minutes there, 2 minutes to pee, 3 minutes back to eat🍔. This has been on the table for 5 minutes .... There SHOULD/MUST be a sign at the entrance with information about the sanitary conditions - so I can decide in advance whether I want to stop off/dine there (or is it hanging there?!)

The Guteburger impresses with a stylishly designed atmosphere in Japanese style that invites you to linger. The furnishings are tastefully chosen and create a pleasant atmosphere. The food is solid, but still has potential for improvement. The dishes are quite okay, but could be refined in terms of taste to round off the experience. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a nice place to visit, especially if you value ambience. With small improvements in the kitchen, Guteburger could be even more convincing.

I should have noticed it sooner. GOOD BURGERS not VERY GOOD or EXCELLENT BURGERS. Well, my wallet has learned. Maybe you could at least improve the store naming a bit by adding the GUTEBURGER at SOMETHING EXPENSIVE prices. In any case, the price performance is not right. I won't go into why there are pictures of cellists, ballerinas, etc. in the Japanese ambience with calligraphy, kanji and sakura trees.

We were there spontaneously before going to the cinema and there were still seats available. We were served quickly and the burgers arrived just as quickly. The garlic fries were super strong and there was a lot of garlic! Plus for that! The burgers were very tasty. Would definitely come again.

The ambience looks quite nice, but is otherwise very simple and quite open, which means that the tables are close together. Overall, not bad, but I wouldn't have to come here again. Spontaneous visit here to the restaurant. Clean rooms and super nice staff. When it comes to the decoration, I think it's very nice and comfortable to sit here but the concept: American food, with Chinese/Japanese decoration and Turkish music. No concept probably in the atmosphere but the food is perfect and everyone is friendly and everything else is clean - that's what's most important to me. I can only recommend :)

We had a double cheeseburger with garlic fries and the veggie burger with Canada poutine. Plus an iced tea and lemonade. Drinks were very tasty, the garlic fries were really delicious and the poutine were probably also very tasty but unfortunately not our cup of tea. The portion was even larger, but we didn't manage to do everything. Cheeseburger was quite good, could be better. Meat tasty and perfectly cooked, I was missing a little bit of delicious sauce, more cheese and seasoning. The veggie burger is prepared with falafel, which is really good. However, the falafel were very dry and instead of sauce there was ketchup and mayo. So it works better too. Otherwise we were full and it tasted good. Many thanks again to the incredibly friendly and attentive staff, it was exceptionally good. We got a table without a reservation, were served immediately, got our drinks after an estimated 2 minutes after ordering and our burgers after another 5 minutes - strong.

Went to Gute Burger for the first time today and probably the last time. The food was perfectly okay and the service was very nice, but the boss came across as absolutely rude. Two of us entered the restaurant, but perhaps a third person should join us. We didn't know that for sure at the time. When we found out, we ordered our food, whereupon the boss came to us and cheekily accused us of lying to him for a larger table. The rest of the evening was pretty uncomfortable, you didn't feel comfortable sitting there anymore.

After this restaurant was recommended to us, I was unfortunately very disappointed! We wanted to take a table for 6 people (there were three of us), because it wasn't in the draft, we weren't allowed, which we understood! But 2 minutes later the table was occupied by 3 people (maybe it was because we were Germans and they were their compatriots)! Well, we accepted that, but that turned out to be quite annoying! The burgers were okay (but not what you would imagine a good burger to be, e.g. there was only a hint of sauce)! The three of us all had different fries, the sweet potato fries were very limp with no taste (my daughter didn't eat them), garlic fries and the normal fries were a little better, but they didn't really taste good and there was no trace of seasoning! We told the waitress, but there was no apology or anything like that. Conclusion Once and never again!

We spontaneously went to this restaurant today. As advertised, we waited for the staff at the door. After we were invited in, I asked for the table that wasn't directly in the wind. We were told that the table is only for 6 people. As we were sitting, a group of four sat down there. We were 3 people. You feel like you've been ripped off. We ordered burgers with fries and our daughter only ordered sweet potatoes. I've never eaten such a bad burger. Our daughter's sweet potatoes were cold and inedible. Our daughter didn't eat any of it. We reported this to the waitress. And told her that the chef was probably having a bad day. That was the only thing that came up. OK, I'm sorry. We still had to pay for our daughter's fries. The lady at the next table also returned her sweet potatoes. You have to react sometimes. So honestly. The service staff needs training. The chef should undergo culinary training. The restaurant should not be called Good Burgers, but Bad Burgers. This so-called restaurant won't see us again.

The food and service are really top notch! The size of the burger menus are perfect and fill you up. I had the Camenbert burger and it was on point. Camenbert, patty and bacon were just right. Normal and sweet potato fries were also great👌🏼 Thank you and see you next time! 💪🏼

We often go to the restaurant to eat, but in the end I have to give a bad review. Apart from the food, which we no longer like at all, it arrived far too late last time. We had to wait over an hour and were only able to eat less than half of it because the children became extremely restless. We received a 10% discount to compensate for the delay, but that still didn't compensate for the damage. Unfortunately we won't be coming again. Really a shame!

I'm here for the first time and I have to say that ambience is the best. It's pleasant and really nice to eat here. I ordered a cheeseburger with homemade fries and soda. Fries crispy and delicious. Lemonade was cold and refreshing. Cheeseburger juicy and tasty. Service was very good, the waitress welcomed us openly and happily and explained everything and answered all our questions. Very mindful.

We spontaneously went in and ordered a cheeseburger and the Poutine Juarez – both were really tasty! The burger buns were nice and fluffy. Even though it was busy, we didn't have to wait long and the service was super attentive and friendly. We'd love to come back :)

Hello everyone, I was there with the whole family last weekend and as a burger lover I would like to add my two cents. Although there was a lot going on and all the tables were occupied, we were greeted at the door by a stable and nice gentleman and were offered the next available table. I found that to be pretty strong and much better than going in and hanging around yourself. TOP. We got a table relatively quickly. The ambience inside was really cool with trees that looked like cherry blossom trees to me. It was a tiny bit too warm inside, but I think that had more to do with the full capacity. It wasn't really bad either. Despite being at full capacity, we were served quickly. The menu offering is what you would expect from a burger joint. The children had nuggets with fries like in the pictures. I always have a certain standard for nuggets, and that's McDonald Nuggets. And no one has ever gotten to them before but I have to say the nuggets in this restaurant were by far the best nuggets after McDonalds, so they were pretty strong. (When I talk about nuggets, please don't confuse them with chicken fillets.) Me and my queen decided on the spicy cheeseburger. The burger was really strong. For me as an "alibi hot eater" the spiciness was perfect. My wife likes it really spicy, so it was a little too mild for her but you can probably fix that with extra jalapenos. For the general average, the spiciness should be ok. What made me very happy was the consistency of the patty in the cheeseburger. It was somehow "grainy" and had good roasted aromas. I'm not a professional but it felt like a smashburger. For me, the eating experience in the mouth is at least as important as the taste. I really liked the grainy nature of the patty. We had garlic fries with it. I hadn't eaten anything like that before and wanted to try it. I think the idea is good, but something was missing for me. I would have liked the garlic to stick to the fries more. Maybe with oil etc. But it wasn't bad. Just try it out, it could be that I just have no idea. The rest was great. After the five of us waited in front of the door for 20 minutes, during which two families each went out with a stroller, the lady with the short haircut and glasses remembered that there was no room for a stroller!!!! Incredibly unfriendly, petty and discriminatory. If you want problems instead of solutions in a meal, you'll be fine with a "good hunger" at GuteBurger! It's a shame and a shame for Bochum...

Heard a lot about good burgers, was happy that we finally made it there and unfortunately it was a total failure!! Nobody can do anything about the 20 minute wait in front of the shop, but after two tables had left the shop with a stroller, the lady with the glasses said that there was no room for us and that we would definitely need a high chair. I said no and explained that my daughter could sit in the stroller (just being a guest and being more cooperative than the employee is a joke!). The lady then said that the buggy still didn't fit in. After I replied that space had just become available, she started screaming "we should just let her finish the fuck!", everyone in the cafe opposite stared at us, it was extremely uncomfortable, humiliating and a complete failure. NEVER AGAIN!

This burger spot offers friendly staff and fresh, daily ground beef patties, but falls short in other areas. My cheeseburger came in a fluffy sesame bun. The patties are made of daily ground beef, which is nice. They are smashed, but for no real reason as they lacked the crisp edges that define a smashed burger, leaving it literally flat and unremarkable. Despite their claim of using ONLY local quality ingredients ("Bei uns beziehen wir ausschließlich Zutaten von lokalen Anbietern, die sich durch ihre erstklassige Qualität auszeichnen"), this does not seem to extend to everything on the burger. In fact, their cheeseburger sauce was a standard Danish remoulade and they used store-bought-tasting pickles, resulting in a sweetness that made the burger taste more like a hot dog than a classic burger. The decor is pseudo-Japanese with cherry blossoms, calligraphy and so on. While it looks nice, it feels out of place given the menu's focus on burgers and poutine, there are no options for katsu/ebi/teriyaki burger versions one might expect. During my visit on a Monday afternoon, the restaurant seemed understaffed with only one woman serving and one guy preparing the food. Nonetheless, the service remained friendly, though visibly strained. Overall, the shop feels a bit lacking in concept and would likely struggle against serious competition in the area, but it has good potential if they stay true to their claims and improve the quality of all their ingrediets.

The ambience is very nice. Some artificial trees can be found in the restaurant and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. The service was great. Very attentive, friendly and simply top. This is how you want to be served. The food came quite quickly and the portions are large enough. The homemade fries are really tasty, thick and crispy. The burger is good, but I've had better ones. All in all: super nice location, great service and good food.

Was here once for a burger. It was a really “good burger”. The employee was very friendly. The price is also completely ok. Unfortunately, the fries were more than salty, apparently the chef was more than in love. Ambience is typical of a fast-food restaurant. The problem is the bison burger without bison meat. Could be misleading marketing...

We were there on a busy Saturday, but we were lucky that there wasn't a line yet and after 2-3 minutes we were shown to our seats (you wait in front of the door until you are assigned a seat). We were then able to order quickly. First of all, the food was delicious, the fries, mayo and the burger were fantastic. Unfortunately, the service was the problem and we're not talking about the friendliness here, nothing to complain about here either: 1. Ordered iced tea, got a coke, 2. Our bill was "activated" at the other table and had to be canceled and we were asked if we wanted cash could pay (we had some, so we promised it, although it's not understandable why you can't re-enter the order, but I'm not an accountant either) 3. Burger explicitly ordered without tomato, of course received with tomato. - I complained about the latter and the boss/manager came to the table. When asked whether you should eat the tomato at the table or in the kitchen, I answered that I only pay for my fries and the drink. Only then was it insisted that a new burger (without tomato) and the whole thing be prepared quickly (because the accompaniment was almost ready). I was skeptical, but I'm glad I did it because the bison was incredibly tasty. We, or rather our companions, were even allowed to eat the other burger for free. There was still no tip because my patience would run out if I made three mistakes, but that was definitely just an isolated case. I'll try it again when I get the chance and adjust the review if necessary. (The photo shows the burger with tomato, I didn't take a photo without it)

Very tasty and fresh burgers, the atmosphere was very nice and the service was excellent. Well done 🐘🚀🫡🍔

Friendly, delicious sandwiches and nice atmosphere.

Ambience is perfect. The service was very polite, very reliable and quick. The shop owner is very polite and has everything under control when the shop is full. We recommend the double cheeseburger with extra samurai sauce 9/10 and for vegetarians the vegi burger 9/10. I can't recommend the homemade soda, rather a Fritz Cola. Otherwise great and definitely worth a visit.

I've been here several times and the food has been great every time, as has the service.
