It was a lovely wedding celebration.

Had a reservation for lunch for a birthday. Unfortunately our tablecloth had 2 large yellow stains. I didn't think it was nice. At least 20 people just waited for drinks even though there wasn't much going on. Food was ok. Too bad the service was slow!

We were only here as a motorcycle group. Eat a snack and drink something. Very moderate prices, friendly service. Nice view, everyone was thrilled.

Went to a barbecue evening at the Landgasthof Ahe yesterday. It was super delicious food, lots of choice and great service. The event location “Friggen” is also very successful and cozy. We'll definitely be back.

Beautiful location for getting married, unfortunately with many deductions and problems. Both our outdated room and those of our friends were really dirty (feces in the toilets, cobwebs, dust, etc.), which wasn't that dramatic for us at first, which is why we didn't even complain about it. We just wanted a beautiful wedding. After we left, there was a very unpleasant email exchange with the owner. Our dog left hair on the bed linen, which is why we had to pay almost €300 because the bed linen supposedly couldn't be cleaned and they threw it away immediately. Something like that doesn't fit at all with the condition of the hotel. The owner is always very willing to learn and compromise when it comes to public reviews. Unfortunately, in reality things look different. There was absolutely no response to compromise suggestions and I look forward to the response to this review. Overall, it seems as if the hotel is in financial difficulties, which is why they try to make money out of every little thing (our bed linen, 1 liter of tap water for €10, etc.). Unfortunately, the whole thing left such a bad aftertaste for us that we can't recommend getting married there.

Great excursion destination for the whole family in nature

Great location, very friendly service: only one drawback: curry sausage with baguette is actually a very small pot with sausage and sauce and a tiny slice of white bread (currently for €7.40!!)

We spent a weekend at Gut Ahe for a wedding. We booked a double room with breakfast. First about the rooms: When we moved into the room, the first thing we noticed was the extremely musty smell of the room. After we stuffed pillows into the windows that closed by themselves, we had the pleasure of inspecting the furniture. There was a lively mix of school camp and visiting Grandma Gertrud. All furniture is typically 80s in style and has not been replaced since. The whole thing was topped off with woodchip wallpaper that looked more gray than white. There were no pictures or anything else that could visually enhance the room. We also missed a refrigerator for drinks and a safe for valuables. We were only able to find 2 sockets in the entire room, which were not near the bed. There was a red bed runner on our bed that had dubious stains and ash residue. The rest of the bed was clean and the mattress was very soft but not uncomfortable. As a small gift there was a small bottle of Gut Ahe spring water, which was very dusty and was already condensing in the neck of the bottle. To be on the safe side, we haven't rounded you, but more on that later. When we arrived in the bathroom, we continued the journey back in time to the 80s. It was a reasonable size and had all the necessary items. Unfortunately there was hair on the shelf above the sink and a very large amount of urine scale in the toilet. The shower doors also didn't close completely and the water pressure was very low. (Whether there were rain showers back then?) The hotel: Beautiful location and surrounded by nature, the barn rented for the wedding reception was also very rustic and was perfect for us. Restaurant and food: The restaurant offered the same “feel-good” atmosphere as the rooms. True to the motto: “Characterless and sad”. We liked the food but was definitely on the more expensive side. (€21 for chicken medallions with some risotto) The portions were rather small but not mini portions. We ordered a large bottle of water while eating. When we looked at the menu we had to swallow hard: 1l of Gut Ahe spring water, €10.50. There was no alternative. We then preferred to order two beers from the very friendly Asian service staff, which were expensive at €5 but cheaper than the water. When I asked the manager, she said a bit bluntly: "If you order the liter it would be cheap anyway because you get a glass for free compared to the small glasses." Friends of ours were charged over €300 for a completely new bed linen set because of dog hair on the bed In total: We spent our weekend at this actually beautiful country inn and had a lovely wedding celebration, but unclean, very outdated rooms and the management's outrageous pricing policy significantly dampened the mood there. The friendly service staff saves the inn another star. Update regarding Gut Ahe's answer: There was no exchange between us via email, which means it is somewhat unclear to us what you are referring to. I have included a picture of the "damage" in question so that readers can see for themselves. We have already understood your calculation of the water price. However, this does not change the fact that it is still very expensive and unfortunately there is no alternative. Unfortunately, the calculation of the beer price is not entirely conclusive for us either. Unfortunately, we cannot imagine that the average beer price in the Siegen region is higher than in downtown Munich. The average beer price for a 0.5l Helles in Munich city center is €4.73 (as of September 2023). Unfortunately, your quoted €5.20 for 0.5l Pils still seems expensive to me in comparison. I hope you understand our criticism and can now respond accordingly.

We were guests in the evening and asked for a small bottle of still water. The answer was unfortunately we only have large bottles. Since there were two of us it was ok. We were given a 1 liter bottle of water without a label or seal and assumed it was tap water. But the shock came when the payment came. €10.50 for 1 LITER of tap water. This is pure rip-off. That's not good advertising for the house.

We received a very friendly welcome, had a nice room, and ate and drank very well. What should be highlighted is the fantastic location, the tasteful ambience and high praise for the extremely friendly and attentive service.

I felt deeply hurt when I received the news that the Schitzel was over. Nobody is allowed to eat anything other than a delicious Kalps Schnitzel in an inn.

Were on a hiking tour and stopped there. Met very friendly people who facilitate events, weddings and other festivities on their land in historic and new buildings. Kind regards

Customer friendliness is different! Our son had reserved a table for 8 people for lunch on Sunday, but in the morning he got a call that the time would be pushed back by 1 hour. We were then left to wait outside (when the temperatures weren't yet very spring-like). After 45 minutes of waiting and still no prospect of the reserved seats, we left annoyed and hungry; the long journey was definitely not worth it for us! In times of increased prices, where there are complaints about a lack of sales everywhere in the catering industry and penalties for not making reservations are being discussed, restaurateurs should also think carefully about how they treat their guests. A little tip: As a gesture of goodwill, we could have at least forgone charging for the drinks we consumed while waiting.

We celebrated our child's communion at Gut Ahe. It was very nice. The two guys in service were very friendly, the food was great, the location with a playground between the forest and meadows was beautiful! We were allowed to prepare our table decorations ourselves the day before at our request. The communication for the planning in advance was great!

Bitterly disappointing today... After an 8.5 km hike, I stopped and was the only guest sitting all alone in the café with my dog. The lady of the house walked across the hallway with her employees and didn't even glance at the café. After 10 minutes in vain, we continued hiking without refreshment, let alone a warm drink. Greetings from the service desert in Germany.

Everything great. Very good hospitality, food is very tasty, the café and restaurant are very good. Simply perfect.

The Neuhaus couple (former operators of the estate) immediately recognized us after a 25-year absence and greeted us more than warmly, which was incredibly touching, especially for my parents, who wanted to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary here with the entire family over the weekend and take a little journey back in time and was happy. But that's where the joy ended. We had no expectation that we would find the Ahe estate in the same form again. However, we were somewhat shocked and saddened by the fact that there would be enormous drops in quality. Dear Ms. Hermes, this is a kindly meant and constructive criticism, especially because we have always had a very good time here and would hate to see you drive the cart into the wall after your parents, which we do with this kitchen and (with all due respect) almost afraid of this chef. We (8 adults) were able to overlook the small flaws in the holiday apartment, but unfortunately there was no quarter for us when it came to the food. In such a rural environment, teeming with original foods, preparing meals containing processed products and thickeners was something we, and unfortunately our digestion, could not forgive. If a chef is not able to cook a soup, a pasta sauce or even a red jelly (!) without artificial binding agents, in my opinion he has no business at a country inn. Even the children's menu "Spaghetti with tomato sauce" had a bitter and artificial taste and was so off that even we adults couldn't get it down, let alone wanted to give it to the two little ones. And you might think that you can't really go wrong with such a simple dish. I could go on about the night meals, but I would like to add one more thing about breakfast: if you serve bread at a buffet and it is not fresh but has been thawed, you should perhaps add a toaster and pay particular attention to that Bread does not have freezer burn. I only give the two stars for nostalgic reasons and respect for your parents, the three deductions are for the kitchen.

Beautiful surroundings, great clean rooms, incredibly friendly and courteous team, very tasty cuisine! We are always super satisfied and always enjoy going there again! Looking forward to the next time!

Super schöne Landschaft. Wurstplatte war sehr lecker. Gasthof ist ein Ausflug wert.

Wir waren mit 14 Leuten dort um am Nachmittag Kaffee zu trinken im Rahmen einer Geburtstagsfeier(eine Woche vorher reserviert). Seit 2 Wochen hat der Gasthof wohl auf Selbstbedienung umgestellt. (Personalmangel) Wenn ich aber eine geschlossene Geselschaft habe in einem seperaten Raum gehe ich davon aus das zumindest ein Kuchenbuffet ,3-4 verschiedene Kuchen oder Platten hätten gereicht ,aufgebaut wird oder eine Bedienung die Bestellung aufnimmt damit alle ungefähr gleichzeitig ihren Kuchen bekommen. Wir mussten uns alle in der Reihe unter den anderen Tagesgästen aufstellen. Dann konnte man den Kuchen vorne irgendwann bestellen und bekam einen Pieper in die Hand gedrückt.Die Schlange ging raus bis auf den Hof so das die ersten von uns fast eine Stunde früher fertig waren gegenüber den letzten aus unserer Gesellschaft. Wenn man ein System mit Abholpiepern einführt sollte dieses auch funktionieren. Manche Pieper funktionierten nicht und manche schon aber hinterher wahr ein heilloses Durcheinander und es wurden Bestellungen doppelt oder gar nicht ausgegeben. Der Kuchen war dazu noch nicht mal selbst gebacken sondern aus der Metro oder ähnlichen Anbietern. Die Waffeln waren frisch. Nachdem wir mit Kaffee trinken fertig waren mussten wir dann noch das Geschirr selbst abräumen. Wir wollten uns noch ein wenig draussen auf die Terasse setzen wo wir vorher aber noch angehalten wurden die gesamte Rechnung ( alles ging auf eine) vorher erst zu bezahlen. Unser Geburtstagskind (60.er) hat das dann auch gemacht. Wir haben uns dann bei einer Bedienung beschwert. Dann kam wohl eine Schichtleiterin und wollte sich bei uns entschuldigen. Die Chefin war ca 50m von uns an der Küchentür und hatte das wohl nicht nötig. Die Tagesgäste im Alter zwischen 70 und 90 mussten ihre Sachen auch selbst abräumen , so das z. B. ältere Leute mit Rolator totale Probleme hatten das Geschirr zum Ablagetisch zu bringen. Der Tisch stand draussen mit drei roten Kunststoffkisten wo man die Sachen reinordnen sollte. Leider war aber auf dem Tisch gar kein Platz mehr um das Tablett abzusetzen da die Kisten völlig überfüllt waren. Fazit für uns : 1X und nie wieder Gut Ahe!!!!

Wunderschöne Lage... War mit dem🏍️ da. Vertrauensvoll fahren weil man denkt da kommt nichts mehr🤣. Mitarbeiter sehr nett und der Kuchen super lecker.

Wir waren anlässlich unseres Hochzeitstags zum Abendessen auf Gut Ahe. Eine tolle Location, super ruhig gelegen, mitten im Wald. Wirklich malerisch. Die Speisen sind sehr lecker und liebevoll angerichtet. Man bekommt kreativ umgesetzte und handwerklich sehr gut zubereitete Hausmannskost. Aufgrund unseres Anlasses wurde uns extra eine Servicekraft bereitgestellt und der Tisch individuell dekoriert. Danke an der Stelle nochmal an das Team und den Küchenchef für die Mühen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Grüße aus dem Siegerland

Sehr schönes Hotel und Restaurant mit riesigem Außenanlage! Kinder Paradies - Spielplatz! Wer Ruhe und Natur mag ist dort gut aufgehoben!

Da ist es einfach schön und lecker!

Wir waren zum Mittagessen dort, der Service wurde wegen Personalmangel komplett eingestellt. Die Sauce des Schnitzel mit Pilzen hatte bereits eine „Haut“ als der Teller auf dem Tisch stand. Wir haben schon viel gutes von dort gehört, waren bei unserem ersten Besuch dort jedoch komplett enttäuscht. Einzig die Lage ist für Natur Liebhaber ein Genuss.

Eine tolle Location, ein tolles Team, gutes Essen. Trotz geringer Entfernung fühlt man sich wie im Urlaub. Wir sind als Familie sehr gerne da.

Sehr nettes Personal, super Speisen und TOP!!! Ambiente. Komme sehr gerne öfters wieder.

Ein ruhiger Landgsthof. Gemutliche Atmosphäre. Hatten dort ein Mitarbeiter Sommerfest. Es war für alles gesorgt. Die Feier war draußen auf einer Wiese. Für gegrilltes Fleisch und frisch gefangene Forellen aus dem eigenen Teich wurde ein Super Büffet hergerichtet. Ich würde es genauso wieder machen

Hatten gestern Hochzeit. Es war wunderschön und gab nichts zu bemängeln. Taufe in werden wir auch dort ausrichten. Definitiv weiter zu empfehlen. Und grosser Lob an Küche und Personal

Große Erwartung, dann kam die Große Enttäuschung hier war nichts los.

Ich bin hier das erste Mal und bin mega zufrieden, das Bett ist Klasse das Frühstück so wie das Essen am Abend auch , und die Mitarbeiter alle Klasse . Habe viel telefoniert mit dem Empfang und alle sehr nett gewesen bin noch eine Nacht da freu mich schon auf das Frühstück das war und ist ausreichend vorhanden . Macht weiter so LG Sabine.W

Super Lage, schöne Wohnungen und Zimmer, gutes Essen. Wir waren immer sehr zufrieden.

Das sind Standard Zimmer aber schön geräumige noch dazu die Betten weich als würde ich auf Watte schlafen vor allem sauber konnte nichts bemängeln Jetzt kommen wir zum Bad da gab es nur ein zwei kleine Dinge die mich störten - nach ca. 13 Minuten war das schöne warme Wasser weg - die Armaturen und der Duschkopf hätte mal ausgetauscht werden können ansonsten war alles in Ordnung

Immer wieder ein schönes Ausflugsziel...

Schöner Biergarten sehr abgelegen um Wald. Nur mit Fahrzeugen zu erreichen oder lange Wandern. Wird auch für Hochzeiten genutzt. Das Trauzimmer ist allerdings sehr spartanisch in einer Scheune und darin befindet sich auch noch ein Theke mit Zapfhahn. Ist Geschmackssache.

Alles super und es war eine sehr schöne Hochzeit. Danke an das Team!

Der Nachmittag war sonnig und die Außenterrasse war durchschnittlich besetzt - inkl. Abstandswahrung aufgrund von Corona. In dem von uns bestellten Salat befand sich leider ein Haar. Meine Begleitung war nicht mehr in der Lage diesen weiter zu essen, ihr war der Appetit vergangen. Also reklamierten wir den Salat. Eigentlich wollte sie nichts mehr essen. Die Angestellte sagte jedoch: Wir können Ihnen gerne einen neuen Salat machen. Also willigte meine Begleitung ein und es kam ein neuer Salat ohne Haar. Ich hatte ein alkoholfreies Bier bestellt und entdeckte nach kurzer Zeit, dass es seit zirka zwei Wochen abgelaufen war. Ich sagte der Bedienung bescheid, trank es jedoch aus, weil sowieso nur noch ein Schluck in der Flasche war. Als wir bezahlt hatten fiel mir nach einer Sekunde des Nachrechnens auf, dass ich 10,00 € zu wenig Retour erhalten hatte. Als ich die Bedienung suchte, fand und ansprach konnte sie den Vorgang nach einer kurzen Unterhaltung nachvollziehen, entschuldigte sich und gab mir mein Geld. Mein Essen war gut: Mediterrane Fritten mit Wedges, Quark und Salsa. Für meinen Geschmack hätte es mehr Quark und Salsa sein dürfen und zwei Mal Kartoffeln fand ich dann doch sehr viel vom Gleichen auf einem Teller. Also es war ein netter Besuch und unsere erste Erfahrung auf der Terrasse. Bisher haben wir hier immer nur innen gesessen, Kaffee getrunken und Kuchen gegessen. Was wirklich zu empfehlen ist. Im Nachhinein war doch auch alles in Ordnung. Missgeschicke passieren.

Wir sind regelmäßig im 'Gut Ahe' zu Gast. Ob zur Stärkung nach einer Wanderung, zur Familienfeier, an Feiertagen oder Geburtstagen ... hier fühlen wir uns wohl und genießen die hausgemachten Spezialitäten. Und wenn das Wetter noch mitspielt, ist der Aufenthalt mit der herrlichen Sicht und natürlichen Idylle perfekt. Ein absoluter Tipp!

Herrlich gelegen mit tollen Produkten der Region. Wir waren zum Kaffeetrinken dort und haben leckere Waffeln verspeist. Auch ein Blick auf die Abendkarte verspricht einiges. Wir kommen wieder !
