Grill'n Chill in Augsburg

Food was good. Service was very friendly. The new chairs are very uncomfortable; the armrests are much too high. The new boho style is quite nice, but the ceiling lights and decorations are real dust magnets and not very hygienic for a restaurant.

The only place I trust to cook a medium-rare steak. I usually order medium to avoid getting bloody, but they really know how to do it here. The food is great and the atmosphere is just right. It used to be a car dealership, but they've done a nice job converting it. UPDATE 11/2025: They no longer serve filet mignon. My iced tea was quite watery and I got dry fries. The staff didn't show up again after serving us. The new chairs are very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I have to lower my rating because of this.

The group was very satisfied. Vanessa's excellent service deserves special mention. She really enhanced the BBQ experience. We'd love to come back.

As a family, we were very disappointed with our visit after the reopening. While the ambiance was pleasant and bright, the temperature upstairs was around 40 degrees Celsius, which was almost unbearable. Self-service is certainly efficient and not a problem for us, but it does detract from the cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, all four burgers were cold and tasted disappointing. It's a shame, because we used to enjoy visiting the restaurant, but under these circumstances, we won't be returning.

The atmosphere is simply wonderful; it feels like being on vacation. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food, and the portions were just right. The service was very friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back. (We'll try the breakfast next time ;-)

Unfortunately disappointing. Orders arrived at the table individually, making it difficult to eat together. The drinks were underinflated, and despite complaining, there was no improvement. They should really check the CO2 level at the tap! Definitely room for improvement!

Unfortunately, we were disappointed this time, as we're used to much better service from this restaurant. Our food was served lukewarm to cold, and the staff kept us waiting for about 20 minutes. Even after several "Excuse me"s and a clear wave, we were only given a quick glance and ignored. As a small consolation, we were given free coffee, but the overall service has noticeably declined.

Not what it used to be - Upon arrival, we had to wait about four minutes before anyone approached us, even though there was no one else in line. Then it took another 25 minutes or so for our order to be taken. Overall, I got the impression that the service was significantly overwhelmed that day. Near us, a mother was changing her child's diaper on the floor, which I personally found unpleasant. The area also didn't seem particularly clean to me. We waited around 30-40 minutes for our food. Visually, I really like the new boho style after the renovation. However, I found the chairs and tables rather uncomfortable – to me, it looks nicer than it is practical. All in all, it was a rather mediocre experience for us, hence two stars.

The food was delicious. The service was very slow—the poor staff had to carry every order up the stairs from the ground floor to the first floor. It was very crowded and terribly noisy! The seating was very uncomfortable.

Very crowded, I asked about vegan options, but unfortunately wasn't entirely convinced that I received them. The sweet potato fries were rather soggy. Nevertheless, a very nice atmosphere.

After the successful renovation, it's unfortunately become a mass-production operation, no longer as cozy. A minor change due to an incompatibility led to everything being mixed up, which was quite annoying. The quality of the products, however, is always top-notch and impressive. Finding a parking space is also a nightmare; even on a Monday at midday, the area in front of the building was completely full.

The new design is really beautiful, although I already thought the previous one was excellent. However, the new chairs are extremely uncomfortable because the armrests are much too high, either constricting your shoulders or causing extreme tension. The wicker seat isn't exactly comfortable either, even though it fits well with the overall design; this could definitely be improved. The service was very friendly, but we had to wait a very long time before someone came to seat us, and just as long before our drink orders were even taken. A definite plus, though, was that we received two complimentary appetizers, and the aioli still tastes as incredibly good as ever. As for the menu, I expected more changes, but it's pretty much the same. The cheeseburger was still good, but the bun was somehow very soggy and not nicely toasted like before, resembling an untoasted piece of bread more than a burger bun. And it was generally very heavy on the mustard. ... It was also a real shame that the food wasn't served at the same time. We had to wait about 15 minutes between the first and last main course, so we couldn't all start eating together. I suspect the kitchen team needs to work on improving their efficiency, as does the service team, to ensure faster service. Overall, though, it was quite good again, and the service was very friendly. The double complimentary appetizer from the kitchen raised my rating to 4 stars.

We arrived with 14 people and were served very friendly and, above all, extremely quickly. The food is also highly recommended. Big praise goes to the friendly staff and the excellent service/cuisine. However, reservations are recommended!

We stopped here for a nightcap... The service was fantastic and the desserts and drinks were delicious. The atmosphere is even better after the renovation.

I used to love going to Grill & Chill. But since the reopening, not only has the food changed, but the service has too. The ambiance is quite nice, but the service is sometimes very stressed, and the food is occasionally cold by the time it arrives. Furthermore, the menu isn't as interesting anymore. It's a shame; you really need to make some changes.

Eating small portions is simply bad and overpriced!

We were very curious about the new atmosphere. The lighting is far too bright and uncomfortable, the chairs are pretty but not pleasant. The burger was cold and undercooked. We used to come here often and enjoyed it, but unfortunately, we were somewhat disappointed on today's visit. The drinks were very good and generous, and the value for money was good, as was the service, and the staff wasn't too pushy.

We went to the new Grill and Chill with the family today and were very disappointed. The food was cold, the burgers didn't taste good anymore, and a glass on the table was cracked. The worst part, however, was that my two-year-old niece wanted to eat her coleslaw and pulled a rubber band out of it – luckily, she didn't swallow it. The server was really lovely and couldn't be held responsible at all – she reacted very kindly. Nevertheless, the visit was very disappointing overall. We used to love coming here and were always satisfied, but this time nothing was right. It's a shame – we probably won't be coming back.

We were at Grill and Chill today with 6 people. The food was ok but the burgers were too dry and the sauce was too liquid. The atmosphere was beautiful and the kerenelin was very lethargic.

The term "overcrowded kindergarten" would be more appropriate here. Lots of screaming and tumbling children. The mothers present don't care how their children behave, and the staff accepts it all without a word.

We had breakfast at Balleshofer. Good service. Very good food.

We were thrilled with the newly reopened Grill and Chill! We immediately felt at home upon arrival. The service on the first floor was extremely attentive and friendly – ​​making you feel completely welcome as a guest. The kids' area is really nice – lovingly designed and perfect for the little ones to have fun too. We also particularly liked the new lamp decor, which gives the restaurant a modern atmosphere. We would definitely be happy to come back and highly recommend the Grill and Chill!

Wow! We had dinner at Grill'n Chill. The restaurant is beautiful, truly cozy. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the food was incredibly delicious, and the cocktails were also fantastic.

My son said, "Mommy and Daddy have found a car and we need to go to Augsburg." No sooner said than done. Car shopping is a different story, but we met the salesman Harun here. We were hungry and he said there was something delicious a few hundred meters ahead. Thanks, Harun, it was delicious. Parking was easy since we arrived with two vehicles and were early. As soon as we got inside, we were warmly greeted. The gentleman looked at his watch and asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but we got a table anyway. Very nice. The lady who served us was also very nice and very helpful, as my wife is allergic to garlic. She made so much effort, and the food was also great. That was a few months ago. Today we went to Harun's again and he said they were currently closed for renovations. Too bad, but it doesn't matter. We'll definitely be back. Keep up the good work.

If Maps says "open," I assume it's normal business. I drove a half-hour detour to meet up here for breakfast – only to discover that it's a construction site and only a food truck is set up, and I can hear that they also serve delicious rolls. I felt more than a little fooled. Please mark it accordingly in the app!

This was our third visit to Grill & Chill, but unfortunately, it will also be our last. The food was good as always, but the service left a lot to be desired. The waitresses seemed disorganized, unmotivated, and unfortunately unfriendly. It felt like no one really wanted to do their job. A real shame. FOOD GREAT SERVICE TERRIBLE

The ambiance here is really nice. I'd also like to highlight the cool and delicious drinks. They're something different than the usual Coke, Fanta, Sprite, etc. (although they do have those, of course). What really disappointed us was the extremely unfriendly service. It took 15 minutes just for us to finally order drinks. When she came back with five drinks instead of the four we ordered (there were only four of us), and instead of admitting that she had made a mistake with the order, we were very rudely told that she only had five drinks and that we had ordered them that way. Then came the food, which was very good in itself, but it didn't fit at all. Instead of a large burger, we got a small one, but the tomatoes we had ordered were still on it. Instead of rosemary potatoes, we got a baked potato, and the sauces were completely missing. Furthermore, the rosemary potatoes were cold when they arrived. Mistakes can happen to anyone. But with each of our four dishes, something was off or missing. That simply shouldn't happen in a restaurant like this! It should also be emphasized that the sweet potato fries and regular fries were already sold out by 7 p.m. I also find that unacceptable for a restaurant like this, especially when you had reserved the table days in advance. Even for our second drinks, we had to alert the waiter that we were all out of drinks and would like to order something else. Even though the food was absolutely delicious, we can unfortunately only recommend Grill'n Chill with reservations.

A perfect place to chill and enjoy!

The chicken burger didn't taste good, just like pre-made sauce. The fries weren't anything special either. The counter, like the entire restaurant, was pretty dirty, so the atmosphere wasn't pleasant. That was my last visit.

As a regular at this location, I have to offer some praise. I, or rather, we, always receive excellent service here. This team is so well-coordinated and so friendly that you feel completely at home. The bakery team, from Mr. Messerschmitt and Mr. Kurzmann to Noah (trainee, sorry, last name unknown), is top-notch, even under stress. The evening shift in the restaurant is simply warm, with service from Ms. Opeldus, Mr. Rassol, Mr. Tannhoff, Ms. Wilhelm, as well as Vanessa and Farodin (sorry, last names unknown). Top compliments to the kitchen, also a great team. Unfortunately, I don't have any names, but there's a super friendly chef who prepares the food exactly the way you, as a customer, want it. I have been a guest for many years and can only recommend it....

I have to honestly say this is one of the best restaurants I've been to. It's beautiful to look at and has a great atmosphere, but the service, the waitress I had on Sunday evening, was very unfriendly and really didn't care about her job. The cutlery and the serving staff practically smashed onto the table and were served in a tone that you can't afford in this business. Despite everything, the evening was very nice and the food was very good, as were the drinks, which were excellent and really almost unbeatable. The only criticism was the service, otherwise excellent 10/10✨

The concept of a restaurant where you order at your table doesn't seem to be working very well here yet. We didn't have to wait long for our food, but no one came to clear the table or pay for over half an hour. It's a shame; I prefer ordering at the counter and getting a table alert.

The food quality is average, and the prices are reasonable for that. Yesterday at lunchtime, I was standing at the counter for sandwiches, etc....there was a line in front of and behind me. When it was my turn, however, the waitress (a long-time employee) felt it was more important to clear or rearrange the almost empty counter than to serve customers, and that at lunchtime, when time is at a premium! No words!!! I have nothing but praise for the small Ballestshofer in Westheim! Always friendly and accommodating!

Very unfriendly and racist staff, food very bland

I ordered a turkey breast schnitzel with a baked potato, the portion was more like an appetizer and that at a price of / 16.50.

There's a good selection of food at fair prices. It's sometimes quite loud, but otherwise the atmosphere is good.

Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it as much as I once did. The burger was too hard and flavorless. The salad was barely dressed. Some of the vegetables in the wrap were overcooked. My husband didn't like it either, but the kids were happy. The price was reasonable. It's very warm inside. The chairs were covered in crumbs, even though we were escorted to our table. Otherwise, the service was very friendly. The restrooms are clean. Balletshofer has the best pretzels in town!

From the ambiance to the food and service in the evening, everything was top-notch. I can only recommend it!

Overall, the bakery is okay - the coffee tastes good, and the breakfast offerings aren't bad either. What I don't like at all, however, is that the employees regularly touch the rolls and bread with their bare hands in order to put them aside or rearrange them when the range is running low. Gloves or pliers are not used. You can imagine how many times this happens a day - and by different people. After observing it several times, I will no longer buy bread there. That's just unhygienic for me.

I always enjoy coming here, the relaxed atmosphere, I love the great salads. There is something for every taste, for meat eaters as well as vegans. Vegetarians and vegans will also find really great dishes. You sit on two floors, and outside in the summer. If you sit outside on the side of the street in the evening, there will still be a lot of traffic on the Kobelweg until around 7 p.m. - before it gets a little quieter. It is self-service during the day and service is served in the evening from 6 p.m. White bread with a fine aioli is always served for the first little hunger. It may take a while for the food to be ready. I wouldn't come here without pre-ordering - there are always a lot of guests. I love this grill & chill salad: lettuce is the base: carrots, feta, peppers, zucchini. I just always enjoy coming here. The audience is diverse, from young to young at heart.

Tried a burger for lunch today (I usually just get bread and baked goods here). I have to say, I was really pleasantly surprised. Nice service when ordering, food was ready quickly and tasted delicious too. I guess I have to go there for dinner in the evening 👍

The grilled vegetables can hardly be described as grilled vegetables but rather as a raw vegetable salad, which was covered with a lot of sugary dressing. Burgers were delicious, the crispy chicken at MCs is a lot tastier and cheaper, still water comes from the quarry pond and the criticism was only sparsely addressed until a dishonest one came: “I'll pass it on to the kitchen”.

Price-performance ratio is really great! Large portions and good quality and super tasty! Prices are really reasonable for today! We are thrilled!

If you're hungry for meat, then you've come to the right place! And when you first get the urge, you'll get aioli and fresh bread as a welcome from the kitchen – always a plus for those who are particularly hungry. Great ambiance on two levels, fast service, and you can watch the grill masters at work. Delicious dishes, all beautifully presented. The value for money is fantastic. We had a Grill & Chill plate and a turkey skewer with salad. Aside from the fact that it wasn't quite hot anymore, we can't fault it – but it must be said that the place was completely packed.

Personally, it's just too loud for me when it's busy in the evening. Food good to very good. Price/performance not a bargain but you accept it. Difficult location even in summer because of the busy street, noise, exhaust gases and the main hospital street. Unfortunately built in the wrong place from the restaurant's perspective. From a bakery perspective, the perfect place. University clinic, BKH main road...

Long wait at the breakfast shop on Saturday. But it largely depends on the customer. They also like to block the queue of togo bakery customers and the discipline leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe Balletshofer should think about a more optimal concept for both parking and ordering. Whether it helps those people who don't notice that it's their turn because of all the rattling...

Breakfast was too warm and we couldn't enjoy it at all. The cheese has already melted from the heat. The staff often pointed out that it was much too warm in the upper area and they just said there was nothing they could do, never again!

We were here for dinner. The atmosphere is great, very modern and there is a children's play area on the upper floor, which in my opinion is a bit too lit. The food itself was good, portions were decent, only the bun on the burger was a bit dry. Unfortunately we waited over an hour for food, for us adults that's probably not that bad, but for the children present it's a challenge.

We just tried our luck on a Sunday and followed the recommendation of friends. We got a place even without a prior reservation. The service was friendly and quick, even though the restaurant was very busy. The portions are large and reasonably priced. The Grill 'n Chill plate was particularly impressive. This consists of very tasty spare ribs, a small turkey steak, a small beef steak and a grilled sausage together with excellent French fries and a good BBQ sauce. It is advisable to inform the waiter in advance about the desired cooking level for the beef steak. Otherwise the meat will be prepared 'well done'. We will be happy to come back.

The cleanliness in the guest room leaves a lot to be desired. When we asked whether maggots or maggot meal were used in the baked goods, we were simply told that we didn't know.

If you want something medium rare here, e.g. steak, you will always get it well done. Even though there were so many staff on site today, everything took too long. I don't understand. Other restaurants with fewer staff also manage to serve but what can be said about such a concept if it is intended that way. Today the staff was above all very unfriendly and incompetent. You would think that with so many staff, the food would come quickly. We ordered chicken burgers once and breakfast twice. The burger was ready just like breakfast. The problem was that coffee was ordered with breakfast and it got cold because we got the coffee first and breakfast took too long. So when you go out for breakfast, you want to enjoy your coffee for breakfast at the same time. When asked if we could have a new hot coffee, the boss said no. She didn't come to meet me. Normally I would have brought the coffee back and asked for my money back. But I will simply never set foot in this establishment again nor do I recommend it.

Very fine food, creative ideas bakery and grill

Went there this morning to have breakfast with friends. I asked the lady with whom I placed my order whether it would be possible to replace the ham with another product on the Mediterranean breakfast plate, for example salami, as this would have been on the plate anyway. By the way, I had asked this before the plate was served, not afterwards, then her reaction would have been understandable. She replied in a completely rude manner that it was absolutely not possible, I could only get the plate without a replacement, just without the ham. I actually question whether the skills are not sufficient to simply approach the customer and replace the covering. After all, there are people who have allergies, so isn't that possible either? Or should the customer pay for toppings that they don't even get? If the lady had told me that this would be possible with an additional charge, then I could have saved myself this review. I've never experienced anything like this at a breakfast service. Never again !

Could do with a bit of renovation. The tables are dingy

Unflexibel, unfreundlich, unhygienisch Waren heute zum Frühstück da. Es war leider nicht möglich den Grill & Chillteller ohne Wurst und dafür mit mehr Käse zu bekommen. Der Ton dabei war auch sehr unfreundlich. Die Marmelade wurde ganz vergessen. Das Besteck liegt in einer Sammelauslage und auch steht davor kein Desinfektionsmittelspender. In Zeiten von Corona ein no go. Einen Anwsenheitszettel mussten wir zudem auch nicht ausfüllen. Werden in Zukunft zur Konkurrenz gehen, da ist alles andere möglich und auch günstiger

My wife got food after 15 minutes. I had to wait 30 minutes but still nothing. Cellars run around like chickens without a plan
