The food was very poor in both taste and portion size. Price, service, and atmosphere were very good.

A nice Greek restaurant. Unfortunately, that's about it. We were there as a group, so we were focused on one meal. That worked out well enough. Some of the food was cold. The ambiance is okay, but everything is very high-ceilinged, like a hall. I missed the cozy atmosphere... The service was very friendly.

The food is average, but plentiful. The prices are incredibly cheap, if you accept that the waiters are all unfriendly. This might be because the place is always packed and they're full. That's also the other drawback. Because the entire interior (two floors) is open, it's incredibly noisy. It has a bit of a train station vibe. The condition of the place is also a disaster. They only accept cash. It's like something out of the 90s and is completely outdated. You should definitely make a reservation on weekends, as it's always full.

If the innkeeper threatens to hit the customer because he ordered a drink...

Gyros drowned in Metaxa sauce, and despite a large sum of money, they only accepted cash payments!! (That's a huge drawback!!) Next time I'll go to the other Greek restaurant.

I thought it was a little modest that I specifically mentioned when making my reservation that we wanted to sit upstairs. There were guests upstairs, but we were seated downstairs right next to a birthday party. It was really difficult to have a conversation with the other people at the table. When I made my reservation, I specifically mentioned that this was a first test meal for a monthly regulars' table. Bottom line: not suitable for us as a regulars' table. We'll find another restaurant.

The food is 👍🏼 delicious, wishes are fulfilled, and when it's someone's birthday, they always congratulate them with a song and all the guests in the restaurant clap along! It's very popular and therefore very busy, but the atmosphere is great. Highly recommended!

There were about 10 of us eating here. The menu isn't at all vegetarian-friendly, but I'm used to that from Greek restaurants. Unfortunately, the appetizers I was able to eat were all canned goods and convenience foods, reheated, and not even particularly tasty. The tzatziki is unfortunately very tasteless. It lacks the typical seasonings. On top of that, payment is only possible with cash. That's outdated and raises strange suspicions for such a large restaurant. Ouzo comes in two rounds in shot glasses. The service was mostly attentive. Rather disappointing for me.

Oranienburg: Retirees / Children / Police Trainees Classic eighties, inexpensive lunch, but unfortunately not cheap. At 12:20 p.m., two-thirds of the restaurant was empty. The waiters are young and helpful. With my chosen main course, I got a free salad plate, two ouzo bottles, and three yeast balls in cinnamon sauce. I had half of the grilled meat packed and ate it at home. This style of catering and preparation would also tempt me to eat more meat-free food. Payment is now only possible in cash.

The best Greek restaurant in the region. Great food, very affordable. Ouzo galore. Make a reservation, absolutely. Oh, and don't overeat the menu.

The garlic bread was, quite frankly, classic discount burger buns, toasted and smeared with flavorless spices. The chicken was completely coated in Metaxa sauce, which was perfectly fine. The potatoes, on the other hand, were completely drowned in a very greasy and cheap, tube-like garlic mayo/aioli sauce and were inedible after the third slice. The waiters were very unfriendly, didn't know their own menus, and forgot drinks. There was also no verbal warning or a note on the menu stating that only cash payments were accepted. Thus, the entire group had to walk into town to the ATM and back very late in the evening. Although I hate to say it out of respect for independence, I have to say it at this point: Absolutely not recommended.

Never again!!! We went out to dinner with 10 people in the evening. The food was almost a disaster. The salmon didn't even taste like fish, the broccoli was practically frozen inside, and everything else tasted bland. One of the waiters couldn't understand what was being said at all, and the noise level was like being at the main train station. The prices are very low, but I'd rather spend a few euros more for a delicious meal.

As always, everything was excellent, service very good and the food fantastic.

Delicious food but customer friendliness can still be improved

Four of us went to the restaurant on a Wednesday and wanted a nice evening meal. We had reserved tables just in case. It was exceptionally busy for a Wednesday. There were plenty of outdoor seating, and the restaurant itself is spread over two floors. We received very friendly and courteous service. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We were treated to a few ouzos along the way. We spent the evening in the cozy dining room and felt very comfortable. We were shocked when paying – cash only! That's ridiculous – we had to chip in. There's a small deduction for service. If we ever have a "Greek" restaurant next, it will definitely be Crete. Thanks

We waited 45 minutes to place an order and only after our repeated comments did they accept the order. Surprisingly, they brought the order very quickly. The portions are very large and tasty. As a compliment, they brought a salad and poured shots. But because of the long wait, there were unpleasant feelings.

Nice cozy restaurant where we arrived without a reservation and were told it was full, but if we wanted to wait on the terrace we could eat after half an hour (which was arranged within 10 minutes) a lot on your plate for the right price and very tasty including 2 x round of ouzo from the house, highly recommended

Yes, I recommend it. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and they even offer dog-friendly service for our little four-legged friend! Plenty of food, and you can pack it and take it with you. They start with ouzo and, for dessert, those delicious, incredibly sweet balls! A visit is always worth it!!! 👍👍👍

We were there last Thursday. We booked a table for a larger group. The guests arrived a little later than usual. Unfortunately, the server didn't arrive until the table was full. So they missed out on the first sale of drinks. Overall, the service that evening was unfortunately not recommendable. The food came quickly and at the same time for everyone, but that was the best part. The drinks we ordered never came. In between, no one came on their own to ask. There were several young waiters who unfortunately didn't speak German and always referred us to the only one who could take our order. As I said, several drinks never came. The restaurant was full and the staff completely overwhelmed. My meal was great, my neighbor wasn't at all impressed but I can't confirm that, I'm just saying that. The restaurant provided free dessert for everyone, which is thank you for that, but the dining experience was still spoiled. Perhaps as food for thought, fewer tables, a bit quieter for the staff and more time for service.

We've been going to Kreta for years and have always been very satisfied. Since new staff members started working there, things have been a mess. We feel like the employees are overwhelmed and sometimes even in a bad mood. You wait a long time for your order or sometimes you get the wrong food. The dishes are only cleared in a makeshift manner. Many empty plates and glasses are left standing until you point out that they can be cleared away. It's a shame, but we won't be coming back.

I can only review the service here, and it was abysmal. We wanted to have an Aperol at 9:37 p.m., and we were clearly informed with a rude announcement and a sign that the beer garden closes at 10:00 p.m. No problem, we thought. We were celebrating too soon. After we had chosen our seats on the very inviting gallery, a member of staff shouted up at us that we should come downstairs because he didn't want to go upstairs for two people. He had obviously overlooked the four occupied tables next to us on the gallery. So if you have a fetish for being insulted, this is the place for you. After we decided to leave the restaurant, we were verbally assaulted by another member of staff. All in all, minus 5 stars for the service.

This restaurant is definitely recommended. Flexible—seven of us arrived without a reservation—and without hesitation, we were seated in the beer garden in beautiful weather. Hey my lovelies, My family and I spontaneously went to this restaurant for Father's Day, and we even got a table without a reservation. And because the downstairs part of the restaurant was very full, we were allowed to sit upstairs, where it was pleasantly quieter and more relaxed. We received our menus very quickly, as well as our drink orders straight away. The only strange thing was that we were asked three more times afterward whether we had ordered yet 😅. The drinks also arrived very quickly, and we were then able to place our food orders. Then we got our first ouzo, which I'm used to. Up until then, everything was great; the appetizers and salads arrived very quickly. The baked pepperoni with oil and plenty of garlic were really great. The salad, after being seasoned, was also really delicious, but unfortunately, after we had already finished the appetizer, the bread arrived, which we had already missed during dinner. And the food was also served to the table after about 10 minutes of the appetizer. We just had to remind them about the ketchup, which we'd already requested when ordering. The food looked delicious, from every single one. The first bite of the fried potatoes with the delicious Metaxa sauce I'd hoped for was the end of it, as it didn't live up to my usual expectations. It was very thick and heavy with mayonnaise, which I personally didn't like. The first piece of meat was very flavorful and easily digestible, but after a few more pieces, the flavor faded, and the meat lost its bite and was tough and difficult to eat. The cheese, well, I have no idea what kind it was, but it had no flavor and was completely tough, and I didn't like it. Unfortunately, it doesn't compete with other Greek restaurants in the area. And, well, the ketchup for my daughter, well, it's probably still in the bottle, because it never arrived. Asking for the bill from a waiter was also a bit difficult because no one responded to my signals. But after I finally got it, I got a little treat in the form of two ice creams and a plate of quark balls with cinnamon and honey. The ouzo to finish, on the other hand, well, 😅 is probably still in the bottle. The ambiance, however, was very nice upstairs, as was the decor of the restaurant. Well, unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it, and I wouldn't go there again in the future. Best regards

It was our first time there. We had a reservation for Mother's Day for four adults and two children. The food was excellent, the waiters friendly and accommodating. Every now and then, we were offered a round of house ouzo. Very child-friendly. Good value for money. The only downside: only cash payments! We had to pool the money. I didn't see any notice on the door.

We really enjoy going there for lunch. Price performance is unbeatable. A lunch meal costs less than ten euros and there is also a dessert and a salad! Bombastic. Lunch for two people with a drink included is less than €25. What more could you want? Nico also offers the best gyros in town!

Very nicely tidy restaurant. Food was cold but was brought new straight away… very tasty. We only ever eat appetizers. The 1/2 l dry house wine white served in a bottle, very tasty. Green ouzo and dessert. Price performance unbeatable. A must when the weather is nice in Oranienburg is the outdoor area.

A good surprise. We went to visit the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and decided to go to this restaurant to eat even though it was a little far from the train station that took us back to Berlin. It is worth the 8 minute walk from the station to eat in Kreta. Generous dishes, quality food and good prices. I would go again if I had the chance.

Three of us as colleagues ate there on Saturday. A colleague came later...we already had an ouzo. The colleague didn't get a single one all evening. Our table was literally cut when we handed it out. We don't know why. But we were quite sad about it and vented our displeasure a bit by not giving a tip and by writing this review. We felt uncomfortable and won't be coming back.

It was at least 15 minutes before we finally paid. I thought the food was okay. The garlic potatoes were very light. Unfortunately, I wasn't really impressed.

We've been returning here for many years. Unfortunately, we're no longer satisfied. Reservations by phone require a lot of patience. The service is rude and forceful. The ambiance is unimaginative and spartan. The food: the gyros are very burnt and dry, the mixed grill doesn't deserve the name, and the side salad is meager. The free dessert of dough balls couldn't improve the overall impression. Conclusion: This was the last time we'll be here. But for those with low expectations, it might be okay as it is.
