Maybe someone is interested in why this restaurant is called Grenzkrug. So: The restaurant is located on State Road 580 just before the current border between the districts of Holzminden and Northeim. Until 1945, this was the national border between the state of Braunschweig (until 1918, the Duchy of Braunschweig) and the state of Prussia (until 1918, the Kingdom of Prussia, Province of Hanover).
