Really delicious and very large portions

We ordered fried noodles with extra peanut sauce to go. The staff was friendly, with only one minor miscommunication. The food was ready quickly. Unfortunately, the beef was a bit tough, and the peanut sauce tasted extremely over-seasoned—almost as if it came straight from the spice cabinet.

We were there with a large group. The wait time was absolutely reasonable, and the service was excellent. Only one dish arrived incorrectly.

Simply brilliant! The noodles with the broth and salmon are simply magical! Highly recommended.

Overall, the experience was not the best. As soon as we arrived, we asked for a table, but the staff were brusque and unfriendly. We were either ignored or forgotten, and no table was assigned to us, even though a couple of them were clearly available. Eventually, a kind couple got up and offered us their table, so we sat down on our own without any help from the staff. After placing our order, we waited quite a long time for the food to arrive. In the meantime, at least three or four tables that were seated after us were served first. We ordered three dishes: - Mixed Sushi #1 (€20): this included 2 salmon nigiri, 2 tuna nigiri, 6 salmon maki, and 8 California inside-out rolls; a total of 18 pieces. The fish wasn’t particularly fresh or flavorful; not awful, but very average. It was acceptable with soy sauce. On the bright side, the presentation was nice, and the portion was generous. - Gyoza Gemüse (€7): six tasty vegetable dumplings! - Summerrollen mit Gebrackens Lachsfilet (€7): these were unpleasant and not enjoyable at all. That said, it might come down to personal taste. As for the drinks, the prices were extremely high. For example a tiny 0.25L bottle of water, barely enough to fill a small glass, cost €3.20, while a 0.5L bottle was €5.50. We took two drinks, Hanoi Green and Saigon Night, both 0.4L and priced at €6.50 each. They tasted good, but unfortunately weren’t particularly cold and the quantity was minimal. When we asked for the bill at the end of our meal, we had to wait once again before we could actually pay. The total cost for one sushi platter, two appetizers, and two drinks came to €47.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't fresh, and we immediately got food poisoning. The symptoms started in the restaurant and became even more severe overnight. We wouldn't recommend it; we won't be back.

I went there for lunch with my grandson, who already knew the restaurant. It was delicious, 👍, and I'm sure it won't be my last visit. Very tasty, excellent service, I highly recommend it.

There was nothing going on. The staff were tense because we wanted to browse the menu in peace. It tasted completely different from what I'm used to at my regular Green Papaya. I go to the other one at least twice a month. The wonton soup was very sour, the wonton filling was firm to the point of being gristly. Plastic instead of a porcelain spoon. Apparently, you have to specifically ask for soy and spicy seasoning here. It's usually listed on the table. Then my meal arrived with salmon instead of tuna. But that was quickly resolved. The tuna was sliced ​​very thickly, with lots of fish. The tempura had a completely different filling and was rather mushy, with a sour taste, and the avocado salad was rather crumbly. Everything was piled up in a rather careless manner. Unfortunately, I felt sick after the meal and had to go to the bathroom. My nausea lasted until the next day. It's strange that there are such differences in taste and quality between individual branches. Unfortunately, the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed the whole time. There was no bill, and we weren't even asked. I will definitely not be coming back to this branch.

Das Green Papaya ist ein echtes Highlight für Liebhaber der panasiatischen Küche. Die Speisen sind nicht nur geschmacklich sehr gut, sondern auch optisch ein echter Hingucker – perfekt für ein Instagram-Foto! Die Auswahl ist groß, sowohl auf der regulären Karte als auch beim Mittagstisch, der mit einer eigenen Auswahl überrascht. Wir waren schon mehrfach dort – meist begeistert, ein paar Mal hatten wir allerdings auch Pech mit einzelnen Gerichten. Trotzdem kommen wir immer wieder gerne zurück. Die Qualität stimmt, das Ambiente ist lebendig, und die Kellner/innen sind stets freundlich und aufmerksam. Einziger Nachteil: Es ist oft sehr laut, da das Restaurant fast immer voll ist. Deshalb unser Tipp – unbedingt vorher reservieren!

I can't say anything about the food. The service was definitely awful. An 18-minute wait. They didn't even ask if they wanted a drink. Oh yeah, the place was empty.

Friendly and quick service, particularly useful at lunchtime. Very large selection of dishes in different versions vegetarian/vegan/fish/meat. Terrace seating in good weather. Nice atmosphere, maybe a little louder.

The meals delivered were all freshly prepared and, without exception, were enjoyed by all the employees in the children's intensive care unit in the UKE. Thank you!

The staff consistently displays courtesy and hospitality. The culinary offerings are of exceptional quality, featuring a diverse array of delectable dishes. The portions are generously sized, and the pricing is surprisingly reasonable. I highly recommend making reservations in advance, especially during peak dining hours. To our surprise, we were able to secure the last available table without prior booking.

2 years ago this place was incredibly tasty, neat, with fast and nice service. Yesterday on March 17th at 4:30 p.m. I was there and said I might have to write/say something about it. The menu is really a spit in the face: the first pages were torn not only by me, but by 3 other people with me (see photo), the menu no longer holds up, and you don't want to touch the tapas menu either. Yes, sometimes there are little quirks, yes it can happen, but if it looks like that, then the management of the branch doesn't care about anything and especially about the guests! Not the first time there was a problem with understanding when ordering... 2 dishes were completely missing, I wanted my dish without an ingredient (which isn't difficult, since Thai basil pesto is only on the edge anyway). Of course the waiters were asked about it but there was no response. We sat directly across from where the dishes were returned, so the waiters were next to us the whole time and yet we still had to pay on the way out because after waiting 20 minutes for a bill nothing came. It's time for me to look for another Vietnamese place again because Green Papaya isn't what it used to be.

Super tasty, I would love to come back. We made reservations in advance on a Saturday afternoon. We had 2 hours at our place, which was enough for us.

A mediocre, noisy restaurant with overwhelmed service. The food was okay, but way too expensive for the price. I ordered fried flat rice noodles with vegetables and the dish came without sauce. The sushi, however, was very tasty and fresh. I'm unlikely to come back.

We ate at Green Papaya in the evening during the week and it was very busy. The service seemed very overwhelmed and had major problems with the bill, regardless of whether it was cash or card. The food was ok, but I've eaten much better in the branch on Stephansplatz. There were also optical savings. We probably won't come back.

There were six of us and all of us were really completely satisfied! Large portions, juicy meat, good tofu & crunchy vegetables - simply delicious! My friend said this was the best beef he's ever ordered at an Asian restaurant. The atmosphere was also great, you could have a good chat. And the service was friendly and attentive :).

So far I've only ever been there at lunchtime. The portions are large, the main courses cost from €10 (including lunch). I can recommend the red curry, the Vietnam bowl and the summer rolls. Everyone is very friendly, really loves children and you can order quickly and get your food quickly. I always find it delicious and fresh. For children who don't eat everything, you can also order a bowl of rice. The ambience of the store is ok. It's clean, but a bit too dark and cramped for me. But that's also a matter of taste. The toilet can only be reached via a long staircase downstairs. You can't get there with a stroller or wheelchair.

That horrifies me! INDIVIDUALS NOT WANTED!!! Last Saturday, coming from a trip, I wanted between 6 and 7 p.m go for something to eat at GREEN PAPAYA. Together with a couple I didn't know, we waited for the person who would assign the tables. When I asked for a table for one person, the employee told me brusquely and coldly: NO, NOT FOR 1 PERSON!! The couple was then led to a table!! This behavior is not only particularly rude, it is also discriminatory!! It clearly indicates that this place is not interested in customers at all, but rather in quick sales. Hospitality is different. U.H

I think most of the food was Vietnamese (which is fine) and not Thai. The tapas menu is really lecker 🤤 und billig. There's a wide variety of Asian food choices and really nice service with a great location, makes it an awesome location for a weekend gateway dinner

At Green Papaya you can prepare for a relaxing evening with good food. The menu is varied and every favorite taste is sure to be catered for. The food is prepared quickly and tastes very good. Scharf traditionally delivers what it promises. The prices are very fair. Overall it is very clean. There is the option to sit inside and outside, but in both cases it is comfortable. The staff is consistently very friendly.

In 2024 I gave them another chance and lo and behold, the good quality is there again.

First thing when you walk in, is a warm greeting. The staff are so friendly and add to a lovely experience. The menu is indeed extensive and you have many options to choose from and different spice levels to enjoy. The food was good and portion size was generous. A good spot for a nice dinner.

It was tasty, service was quick. Unfortunately, chairs outside are quite uncomfortable if you have a butt (press on the side).

Very tough meat: so far I have always been very satisfied, especially the tender meat was perfect. But recently it has slowed down significantly. The rib eye steak was half fat and tendons. The duck (which was offered as crispy) was tough as leather, I couldn't cut it with a knife or chew it with my teeth. There was no sense of crunchiness. I returned the duck and ate my fill of the side dishes. The poularde (chicken curry) was also still red on the inside. If you like meat, this is the wrong place. It's a shame because they used to be good.

Ambience is quite nice, service is quick. But the tables are very close to each other. Entertainment is hard to imagine: very loud. Salad with octopus was inedible. There weren't even napkin stands, salt and pepper shakers on the table. I wanted to leave this place quickly.
