Greek Corner Original Food to-go in Göppingen

I visited the Greek Corner and it is the oasis of Greek cuisine!!! we chose various items from the menu as well as from the vegan option. Everything was very tasty and fresh!!! the service was impeccable .. they deserve 5 stars and more ! looking forward to my next visit there...🍀🧿

Today around 15:30 I ordered a gyro dish, the potatoes were fried long before maybe from the morning, the salad and the portion of the gyro was unacceptable from yesterday's excess and reheated as a result of it being hard and dry, happy new year with health and which professionals

Unfortunately I have to withdraw my 5 star rating. Today we ate with the new owner. Three gyro plates were ordered. This is no longer the quality we knew. There was a lot of skin on the meat, especially chicken. About 1/4 was pure skin. The chicken meat was finely sliced ​​like a kebab. No more typical gyro meat. Fries: The fries didn't taste as good as before either. Probably old oil in use or left lying around for a long time? In any case, significantly smaller portions of fries. Lettuce: The only thing that got better. The cheese pieces were of a higher quality and the tzatziki was still good. But I can make a good salad at home. I'll give you another chance in the coming weeks. But first I have to eat gyros at a restaurant to get the negative image of a gyro out of my head. When we pointed it out by phone, new gyro plates were offered. I give 5 stars for your kindness.

Our beloved Greek snack bar recently changed hands. The expectations were correspondingly high, as this store was previously considered the absolute number 1 in the area. The footsteps the new team is following in could hardly be bigger. Products tested: Gyros box, pita and fries – each with pork. Noticed negatively: The fries were hot, but unfortunately extremely soggy and had an unpleasant mouthfeel, almost as if they hadn't been cooked properly. My impression was that the fries were either prepared and reheated later, absorbed too much oil, or were not in the fryer long enough. Either way, the result was disappointing - the worst fries I've had in a long time. This should urgently be improved. The meat is now cut with a kebab cutter, which gives it more of the consistency of kebab meat. Anyone who likes that will be satisfied. However, the typical mouthfeel of coarsely cut gyro meat is lost, which many guests will certainly miss. Nevertheless, you have to say: the meat was juicy and tasted quite good - just different than usual. Another downer is the new pita. In terms of taste and consistency, it is more reminiscent of waffle dough than of the traditional, hearty pita bread. It's a shame that the tried and tested product was replaced here. Noticed positively: Despite the changes, there are also some positive points. The portions are still generous and the prices remain unchanged. The staff is friendly, attentive and open to special requests. The food is prepared quickly and the vegetables still appear fresh. Conclusion: The new owner is following in big footsteps and that is noticeable. While some changes - especially in the fries, the pita and the preparation of the meat - were not convincing, there are also bright spots: friendly service, fair prices and large portions are still there. It remains to be hoped that the weak points will be worked on so that the snack bar can perhaps build on its old successes again. With a little tweaking, this snack bar has the potential to become a real favorite again.

After initial organizational challenges, the new owners have settled in brilliantly. Super friendly way where you can tell she's honest and a very tasty gyro with great seasoning and crispy fries. The overall package fits here and we come every week and are always looking forward to it like crazy. Very happy that this great store has found such friendly successors!

Ate at a Greek restaurant for the first time in Göppingen and it was the tastiest thing I have ever eaten. I was very surprised at how nice and friendly the staff was. The food is very, very tasty, whether it's chicken or pork, it's one of the tastiest I've ever eaten and I'll add that I've tried a lot of them. I am more than satisfied and can always recommend it, there will be something delicious for everyone. And no one will regret a visit to Green Corner.

I was there today for the first time since the change of ownership and all I can say is what an incredible disappointment. This restaurant was the best restaurant in Göppingen, and I always looked forward to going there simply because the food was so good. To give the new owners a chance, I tried it out today and hoped for the best, but unfortunately it wasn't nearly as good. It tasted bad. The flatbread wasn't cooked properly, the halloumi wasn't cooked properly, the sauce was missing. I didn't even finish my meal, whereas normally I immediately start thinking about when I can go back. If you don't get your act together quickly and learn from the previous owners, I don't think Greek Corner will be around much longer.

Just good! Both classic gyros pita and non-classic “boxes” or rotisserie chicken are on offer. Great meat that was well seasoned - how crispy something like that should be is always a highly individual story. Top fries, clean appearance, very friendly service and you can even pay by card! I'll definitely come back if I'm ever in the area!

Go-to take out spot for me! They have great wraps and my favorite is the batter fried feta in the large wrap. Leaves me satisfied every time!

When it comes to Greek food, there's hardly anything better in Göppingen. The service was always very nice and the prices were more than reasonable.

Expensive, little content and not good quality. It simply has to be said. There were and are good gyros in Göppingen, but this is not one. Had pita gyros. 7€! You expect content there. Hardly any meat, 4-5 fries, the tzatziki first, then the meat. Compared to a kebab of the same price, only 1/4 as much meat and no side dishes. Then the fries. 4€! For fries from the freezer. They weren't even properly coiffed. Hard, just yucky. For 11.50 there wasn't even a salad. At the real Greek restaurant, e.g. Taverne Arche Noah, you can get a plate with fries and salad for €12.50 and it tastes delicious too. Here, for those who don't know better, this is probably good enough, but not for me. I have no problem paying money for good quality, but I can also have frozen fries at home for €4. Impertinent to offer something like that. We didn't even eat half of the fries, it was so disgusting. Sorry, but it doesn't work at all.

Absolutely awesome and tasty giros but... iI's just a bit too expensive for me. 6.50€ for almost the same contents as a 4.50€ döner on the next corner is a bit too much. Yes, I can understand that it can't be 4.50€ like it was in the past because of inflation and everything, but something like 5-6€ would be way better. I'll still come back just because of how tasty it is but I would've come more often if it was cheaper

Bester Grieche im Umkreis! Waren schon bei anderen empfohlenen griechischen Restaurants, aber die waren leider alle enttäuschend. Richtig leckeres Gyros und leckere Dips. Ich ziehe einen Stern ab, weil das Gemüse und vor allem damit der Salat ein No-Go sind. Gefühlt wird ne Tomate oder Gurke ein Mal durchgeschnitten und bam, da ist dein Salat. Viel zu grob, das geht auch essbarer. Außer dem Salat kann ich es nur weiterempfehlen!

Gyros und Souvlaki sind sehr lecker. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass als Alternative zu Tzatziki, Tirokafteri/Tirosalata eine Schafskäsecreme mit roter bzw. grüner Paprika bestellt werden kann. Bisher immer sehr freundlich und schnell bedient worden. Preis-Leistung ist klasse.

Von außen kaum zu erkennen. Aber sehr leckerer Gyros. Geschmacklich nur zu empfehlen. Für kleinen Hunger oder für die Pause. Gerne wieder
