Wir gehen jetzt schon seit sehr vielen Jahren in den Gräfinthaler Hof und sind nach wie vor begeistert! Das Essen ist auf einem sehr hohen Niveau und einfach hervorragend. Die Portionen sind reichlich und geschmacklich einfach ein Erlebnis. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön, vor allem im Sommer draußen, aber auch drinnen. Das Personal ist ebenfalls sehr lieb, zuvorkommend und familiär - wir fühlen uns immer sehr wohl. Und Hunde sind auch jedes Mal herzlich willkommen 🥂🐾

Wir waren bei unserem letzten Besuch Anfang Februar leider sehr enttäuscht. Wir kommen bereits seit fast 20 Jahren ca einmal jährlich zum Essen hierher und waren stets absolut zufrieden. Doch dieses Mal war das "Fleisch-Menue" (Wildgulasch) wirklich ziemlich enttäuschend. Hätten wir es zu einem moderaten Preis erhalten, dann wäre es tatsächlich in Ordnung gewesen, aber so wie es dargeboten wurde (mit Schwarzkohlsuppe als Vorspeise und einem Teller voll Creme brulee als Nachspeise, sowie Baguette und Quarkcreme) mit einfach nur 2 Klößen ohne auch nur das geringste grüne Gemüseteil oder Salatblatt oder eine Raffinesse so war es für einen Menuepreis von ca 70 € weit überteuert. Eine entsprechende Stellungnahme dazu erfolgte nur deshalb nicht,da wir eingeladen waren. Sehr schade!! Einstmals hohe Qualität mit immer sehr ausgefallenen kulinarischen Ideen - stets ein großer Genuss dort zu essen und den hohen Preis wirklich wert...

Unser Besuch im Gräfinthaler Hof war rundum ein Genuss und absolut empfehlenswert. Schon beim Ankommen fällt das stilvolle, sehr angenehme Ambiente auf. Die ruhige Atmosphäre mit einer angenehm geringen Geräuschkulisse lädt dazu ein, den Abend entspannt zu genießen. Der Service war schlicht perfekt: aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist auch die ausgezeichnete Weinauswahl – edle Weine, die hervorragend zu den Speisen passen. Der Aperitif war ebenfalls sehr gelungen und ein idealer Einstieg in den Abend. Kulinarisch überzeugte das Menü auf ganzer Linie. Bei den Vorspeisen begeisterten vor allem das feine Rote-Beete-Carpaccio, die kreative Variation von Hülsenfrüchten sowie das wunderbar cremige Rahmsüppchen von der Schwarzwurzel. Alles geschmacklich hervorragend abgestimmt und sehr schön präsentiert. Als Hauptspeisen hatten wir Rumpsteak und Cordon Bleu – beide perfekt zubereitet, auf den Punkt gegart und von sehr guter Qualität. Auch die Desserts rundeten den Abend wunderbar ab: Ein köstlicher Espresso Gourmand, eine herrlich karamellisierte Crème Brûlée sowie knusprige Apfelbeignets mit Zimt-Zucker sorgten für einen süßen Abschluss. Besonders hervorzuheben ist zudem das sehr faire Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für die gebotene Qualität. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Restaurantbesuch mit exzellentem Service, hervorragender Küche und einem stilvollen Ambiente. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Das Essen und der Service waren während des gesamten Besuchs perfekt. Die Gerichte wurden auf höchstem Niveau zubereitet, die Zutaten waren eindeutig von erstklassiger Qualität und die Präsentation war durchweg gelungen. Die Weinauswahl war exzellent und sorgfältig zusammengestellt und harmonierte perfekt mit den Speisen. Insgesamt ein erstklassiges Erlebnis, das den Preis vollauf rechtfertigt.

Das Weihnachtsessen am 1. Weihnachtstag abends war wie immer wunderbar. Die Bedienung an unserem Tisch Nr. 36 war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wie schon seit Jahren haben wir für 2026 unser Weihnachtsmann bestellt.

Schöne warme Atmosphäre da fühlt man sich immer willkommen. Die Gerichte sind handwerklich präzise, aromatisch und mit viel Gespür für Qualität umgesetzt egal ob Vorspeise oder Hauptgang.

Wir waren anlässlich des 1.Weihnachtsfeiertages hier mit unserer Familie essen. Meine Tochter und ich vertragen beide kein Gluten (was vorher nicht kommuniziert war) und es wurde ohne Problem direkt glutenfreies Brot zum Tisch gebracht. Der Service war allgemein sehr sehr gut! Hatten wir wirklich garnichts auszusetzen. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und erklärte bei jedem Gericht was wir auf dem Teller haben und falls im Vorfeld klar war dass wir etwas nicht essen konnten schon Möglichkeiten aufgezählt die wir uns aussuchen konnten. So einen Service hatten wir vorher noch nicht erlebt. Auch bei meiner anderen, schwangeren Tochter wurde sehr sensibel und emphatisch reagiert und die Gänge so angepasst, dass sie sie ohne Probleme essen konnte. Auch unsere Hündin wurde herzlichst Begrüßt und man merkte, dass auch sie willkommen war, was uns viel bedeutet. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können den Gräfintaler Hof nur guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen👍🏼

I always read the one-star reviews first. Those are the interesting ones. You learn things like how it's customary to hold back the soup so the guest drinks more. And there are long, drawn-out discussions about how a broken dessert glass could possibly arrive at the table. Oh well... Now for my review: The Gräfinthaler Hof is TOP-NOTCH! That's it!!!

We were on vacation in Saarland, and using the Slow Food Guide, I found three restaurants that were easily accessible. After reading the websites, I followed my gut feeling and knew I would find everything I valued at the Gräfinthaler-Hof. The location of the restaurant, the beautiful view, the tasteful decor, and above all, the polite and warm welcome were a perfect start to a restaurant visit. Since it was a Sunday, it was a set menu day and, what's more, Lamb Week. It began magnificently with the triple appetizer, creative, tasteful, and lovingly prepared. The lamb ragout was tender, very well-seasoned, and the portion was also very generous. It was accompanied by delicious and crispy potato and zucchini fritters. The dessert, accompanied by the house-made ice cream, brought a fruity and flavorful finish to the meal. Oh, I almost forgot the delicate and fine lemon cake served with the espresso. Because the Künzer family runs their restaurant with appreciation for their employees, so much good can be achieved, and guests can sense the joy the employees bring to their work. A special thank you for that. We wish everyone continued joy, success, and good health. For us, this is another reason to return to Saarland. A. Kirking from Duisburg

We went for dinner midweek, pre-booking. The restaurant was surprisingly busy. And there's good reason for that: the food was truly delicious, the atmosphere was pleasantly quiet, the decor was stylish, and the service was attentive. We'd be happy to come back if we're looking for something special.

Unfortunately closed, but menu looks great

I had hoped for more from a Michelin-starred restaurant. I had the vegetarian menu, which is highly recommended and tastes amazing. However, there were other things that didn't sit well with me. The drinks and wine list is only available upon request, which I think should be a given in such a noble establishment. Furthermore, there's unfortunately only one non-alcoholic aperitif on the menu, so you have to take that. However, since the Gräfenthaler Hof is quite a bit out of town and only easily accessible by car, I find this outdated and would like to see a wider selection of non-alcoholic aperitifs. A friend's boiled potatoes were unfortunately served late with the main course. And there were two serious gaffes with the desserts. My husband's lava cake didn't have a liquid center, so the kitchen had to make the entire dessert again. A friend's dessert glass had a crack in the bottom. Although the dessert was refilled, we found the server's statement truly outrageous. The dessert glass was apparently damaged by the metal spoon that was served with it, meaning she had pushed the glass too hard with the spoon. I don't know how this could have happened, especially since she was only at the beginning of the dessert and several other people had the same dessert, but oh well. As much force as one would have had to exert with a spoon, sorry, but that was a rather absurd explanation for why the glass was broken and blaming the guest. I've experienced things differently, more service-oriented and courteous, in other restaurants without a Michelin star. Furthermore, drinks were only served if we asked the waiters; otherwise, we might have gone without a drink for quite some time. Finally, the bills arrived. The price-performance ratio is okay, although I do think the lava cake is a bit overpriced at €14; you can get it better and cheaper in some Saarland restaurants. Apart from the friend with the late boiled potatoes, there were no free drinks or discounts. If I compare the faux pas, we or the friend with the broken dessert glass would have been more deserving of a free espresso. All in all, a lovely evening with great friends. The quality of the food is worthy of the Michelin star, but the service is not.

Thumbs up! This was our first time at this fantastic restaurant, somewhat tucked away in a beautiful landscape. From the large parking lot, you reach the lovely outdoor terrace in about two minutes, and we all (we were a large group of 18) were thrilled. The table was very lovingly and elegantly set. The waitresses were extremely friendly and worked unobtrusively and super professionally. We were all delighted with the menu, and with every course, whether it was tomato and melon salad with burrata and pesto, monkfish medallions with wild broccoli, crab foam, and polenta, or pork cordon bleu with fries and salad, you could feel the chef's attention to detail and enthusiasm for his work. You can taste the high-quality ingredients used here and enjoy every moment of this dining experience. In a nutshell, one can only say that everything is just right here: the loving, elegant, and inviting ambiance inside and out, the extremely friendly and attentive staff, including the chef and his daughter, and of course, the culinary delights. Thank you for that.

The Countess would have enjoyed it... Naturally very busy on a Sunday lunchtime, but by no means stressful for the guests. The outdoor seating was wonderful, with ample privacy from neighboring tables. Exceptional food for a fair, yet naturally upscale price. Instead of set menus, each main course is available individually. We took advantage of this and enjoyed Angus beef rump steak, monkfish, and duck breast. We also enjoyed a very good Pettgen rosé, highly recommended. Excellent quality, friendly but not intrusive service, all around a first-class setting close to the Benedictine monastery in a historic setting. Almost everything was just right here. That's what a restaurant should be. Highly recommended.

Five of us went to the restaurant for lunch on Whit Monday. There were three menus on offer, all of which we tried. There was a vegetarian menu and one each with meat or fish. The two starters alone were a delight, and the three different main courses each tasted excellently and were visually presented, appealing to all the senses. The crowning finale with three delicious desserts made the meal perfect. In summary, I agree with the other guests that it was absolutely delicious. When small cake cubes were served with the espresso at the end, it perfectly rounded off our visit to the Gräfinthaler Hof. Everything was perfect; we were completely satisfied and will definitely come back soon to enjoy the wonderful hospitality. I wish the owners continued success, Gabi Schwarz.

Great location, close to France and not far from Saarbrücken. The surrounding area is perfect for a stroll. The house is decorated with love and taste. They offer excellent wines. The food was sensationally good. They use only the finest local meat. You can taste it in every bite. Fantastic. The appetizers were also absolutely delicious and prepared with love and great culinary skill. A clear recommendation. I'd be happy to go back.

Recommended for anyone who appreciates good food at reasonable prices. Of course, a beautiful ambience and attentive service are part of it. Even celiac disease (gluten intolerance) is not Problem. Gluten-free bread was also provided at the table. Unfortunately, this is not a given everywhere. Therefore: full marks!!! Highly recommended.

A truly wonderful evening that could hardly have been better. We enjoyed an exquisite five-course gourmet menu with perfectly matched wine accompaniment. Everything was right from the start. Five of us were once again at the candlelight dinner at the Gräfinthaler Hof. The tables were again beautifully set and decorated with candles, creating a romantic atmosphere. There was a 5-course menu of excellent quality and a highlight in terms of taste. Everything was lovingly prepared. The service was first class. We were completely satisfied. We'll definitely be back.

We have been going to the Gräfinthaler Hof regularly for years, preferably in summer to dine in the wonderful outdoor area, under a chestnut tree. The choice quickly fell on the veal fillet wrapped in bacon with fresh chanterelles, market vegetables and rösti - wonderful. Despite the vegetables, the side salad with the house dressing is also highly recommended. We decided on a 2021 Pinot Gris from Petgen-Dahm from the Mosel. At the end there was Espresso Gourmand: Of course an espresso with créme brulée, raspberry sorbet and chocolate mousse. Eating in a great atmosphere, in the winter garden or in the restaurant, everywhere is cozy. Plus friendly, very attentive service. As always, it was a wonderful day with the Künzer family, after all now in the (almost) fifth generation of family ownership. Tip: the tribal meal on Wednesdays - Fridays is also highly recommended

Food and service was great. Unfortunately, contrary to what Google says, the entrance and toilet are not barrier-free. A picture of the entrance is attached. For the future, please get a ramp and expand the toilet so that all guests can enjoy the good food without worries.

We had on November 29th. I was lucky enough to get a table in the winter garden of the Gräfinthaler Hof in the evening. The goose menu was excellent. The starter consisting of a goose liver praline, a terrine and crème brulée was completely convincing. An absolute highlight was the braised goose leg with chestnuts, red cabbage croustillant and potato dumplings that was served afterwards. The Christmas atmosphere made for a well-rounded and successful evening, which ended with a dessert of pear compote and pear sorbet. We have been guests at the Gräfinthaler Hof for several decades. The consistently high quality of the cuisine and the good price-performance ratio are always convincing.

Feel-good time with perfect food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere. What more could you want? Always a lovely evening for us in a family atmosphere. We are already looking forward to the next time.

We always enjoy coming here. The Grafinthaler-Hof cooks very well and the service is professional and personal. We particularly like the local Bliesgrau specialties here (the Bliesagau menu always proves to be a good choice). Fair prices!

Our celebration was very nice :-) All guests felt very comfortable. Service and operation were 1 A. Even the smallest wishes were fulfilled. We have been to the restaurant several times now and will always recommend it to others. Best regards

An excellent restaurant. The ambience is very nice, both the outside terrace and the inside area are well-kept, elegant and inviting. The staff was very friendly and, above all, super professional and very attentive. Since we were there on the weekend, there was only the 3-course menu. All courses tasted excellent and the portion sizes were sufficient. The quality of the ingredients was very good, and each course was beautifully presented. Price-performance is completely acceptable for this quality and this service.

A visit to the Gräfinthaler Hof is worthwhile for several reasons: on the one hand, there is very good, high-quality cuisine and, on the other hand, the location is beautifully quiet, right on the border with France, in the middle of nature. In summer you can sit outside wonderfully. There are regularly changing dishes on the menu. Not too much to ensure freshness. A real pleasure in terms of taste. I can especially recommend fish and meat. There is a bread plate with butter in advance. It is not for nothing that the Gräfinthaler Hof is featured in Micheln Führer and Falstaff. The service is quick and very friendly.

Starter soup tasted good at first, then I noticed that it was extremely salty. Typical tactic to get you to drink more. Then get heartburn. In addition, the waitress was annoying because she stopped the conversation every 5 minutes with a meaningless “is everything good?” interrupted, so it's annoying.

An impeccable meal: sea bass, veal medallion, saddle of lamb, not only convincing in terms of taste, well-balanced dishes and lovingly prepared! The price is also quite reasonable considering the quality of the products and the professionalism of the chef. The best meal we've had in a long time. We recommend the Gräfinthaler Hof without reservation.
