This restaurant is just pure perfection! The food was incredibly delicious – every dish was an absolute taste experience. I was particularly impressed by the fresh flavors and the authentic preparation. The drinks were equally fantastic and rounded off the evening perfectly. Absolutely recommended, I'll definitely be back!

Edit to the owner's response. Maybe they had an incident with a guest and his coke…. It wasn't us. We had 4 dishes, 7 drinks, no coke!!!! And paid €92. It is an absolute impudence and unprofessionalism to accuse me of lying. I would take back this accusation immediately!!! Service is a disaster. The waiter with the lips/kiss tattoo on his neck was constantly busy with his cell phone today, and even after calling several times (!!!) he hardly responded. A waitress then threw us beer mats and placed the drinks next to the lids, all 4 glasses. So you have to be that intelligent :D When we were paying, the tattoo waiter threw his Orderman (this ordering device) at us, didn't mention any amount, no food was tasty, everything was ok, cash or card, nothing at all. Service was really subpar. Eating is ok, there are also mini metal stools without backrests for sitting, etc. Was my last time there!!

Two point for the food being ok. Otherwise, second the other reviews on service, it’s the weirdest experience. The lady serving my table was indifferent, distracted, tried to push through a child high chair to the table next to mine even though there was enough space to take it around. When she realized it, she didn’t care to take few extra steps around, but rather carried it over my head legs first, almost poking my eye out. Next thing I know, I ask for the bill and she gives it to me with a question how much I would like to pay o_0 I did give her a sum that had a small tip in it because I felt uncomfortable but she was clearly unhappy with it, and tried to miscount change. Twice. Thrid time I just let go of that extra two euro, but I would NEVER be back

A great spot for Asian cuisine, perfect for hanging out with friends. The prices are reasonable, but keep in mind they only accept cash, no cards. The food is fresh and flavorful, though it can get quite crowded.

Cheap but amazing crispy fingerfood and crazy boa burger (chicken). We also tried the ginger beer and my god, perfect spice!!! Go there and leave smiling guaranteed.

Mishaps happen, but that's not so bad: we ordered drinks and food, the waitress slipped a large cola from the tray and everything onto my pants and shirt. Direct hit... I asked for a wet cloth to somehow get the coke off my pants and shirt and stayed completely calm. So we sat down again and had the main course which was good. However, sadly there was no compensation, not even free drinks or anything like that. It was fully accounted for. This is ultimately very sad. Hence…. Sorry….

Used to be my absolute favorite Asian restaurant, unfortunately by now the food is more hit or miss, especially when you order online :(

Nice Asian food on Simon Dach. We had an early dinner and tried chicken burger and red curry with chicken. Both were tasty, burger came with sweet potates fried, so no need to order separately.

Unfortunately, my visit to Gotcha was a bitter disappointment and not what I expected from a restaurant of this category. Firstly, the portion of my bowl was downright ridiculous. The rice content was so minimal that it felt more like a small snack than a full meal. When you order a bowl, you expect a balanced mix of ingredients - but in this case it was a bowl full of air with a few scattered vegetables and proteins. Second, the service was unacceptable. Our waitress seemed more concerned with sleeping than with her actual job throughout the entire visit. She seemed inattentive and uninterested and we had to try several times to get her attention to even place our order and later ask for additional drinks. To make matters worse, I discovered on the bill that the waitress had arbitrarily added a tip. Such an approach is not only unprofessional, but also completely unacceptable. Tipping should be a voluntary recognition of good service and should not be added to the bill without the guest's consent. Overall, my visit to Gotcha was disappointing. The food was unsatisfactory, the service was poor, and the unauthorized addition of a tip to the bill was the negative highlight of the evening. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant nor will I visit it again myself.

Very large selection of appetizers, size was good and also great price. As with the main course. I thought it tasted good, but a bit bland. The salad in Bun Bo looked a bit worn out 😅 Maybe I was just unlucky that day. But a lot of effort goes into the cocktails and home lemonades. Service was nice and attentive. However, we were also there in the afternoon.

The atmosphere is very pleasant. You can sit outside or inside and have a good time. They have a variety of food and drinks there. The ICE tea is highly recommended. Everyone will find something to eat on the menu, there are vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes. It's also super easy to order lots of appetizers and share them with each other. When it comes to food and drink you can't complain. Unfortunately, the service seems very unmotivated and unplanned.

They did not take into account my birthday reservation with corresponding requests such as water provided, a table set up (for 12 people), which I had registered 2 weeks in advance and which was also confirmed, and had to evict guests from their seats at short notice in order to carelessly put together tables for us . The waitress was extremely uncommunicative and seemed unfriendly and made little effort to appease my anger. My guests also noticed this. You definitely don't want that for your birthday. We then went to another restaurant. I will never visit the restaurant again and find it a shame that, in addition to all the positive experiences, I had a completely different experience.

The service was terrible, the waiter was lost and distracted. We did not get one of our starters after reminding him twice, and the main dishes were a complete disaster. They were supposed to be two different dishes, but they just threw the same ingredients together in two differently shaped plates and changed the type of noodles. Speaking of which, mine were instant noodles. I don't know if anyone likes spending 10 minutes removing the shells from their prawns, but I don't. Some veggies inside the plate were warm, some were cold. I don't know if we were just very unlucky with what we ordered or if the other reviews are simply misleading. In their defense, the spring rolls and the smoothies were good. I still wouldn't recommend it.

The food at Gotcha was my birthday present and inside looked it really nice looking. The atmosphere was great, but in general I found it too small and too cramped. Too many tables in too little space and the chairs weren't the most comfortable either. We found the smell disturbing, which apparently came from an incense stick. The employees were very nice, the food came quickly and the portions were really big. I would have liked a little more choice, but the food was super fresh and looked very appetizing. My companions were definitely very enthusiastic. With the cocktails they really meant well with the alcohol so you really couldn't complain. The toilets weren't that good though. Only one toilet per gender and everything was very tight.

The best food I've eaten in a long time. I'm just blown away at the depth of flavour and the incredible tenderness of the meat and the fresh produce. If you love Asian cuisine, especially soups and bowls, your stomach will be happy here. Great vegan and vegetarian dishes, too. I am really glad I found this place.

We've been to this place three times now and each time the same waiter (with a tattoo on his neck) served us. Each time there was a very awkward situation with the tip. The waiter asked us how much change he should give us back (first time he asked if we want ours 7 euro back). Asking for a tip like that is embarrassing. Give me my change first, and then you might get a tip. I don't want to give you anything for forcing a tip like that. Besides – food was like always amazing!

It was a busy Saturday evening, still got the seat. Staff service is excellent and polite. We ordered Thai curry and it was delicious. Quantity and quality both are superb. It’s a nice cosy place with attentive staff!! Surely recommended. Price for one meal cost around 14€ pro person, worth it.

Very average food. Pho is half the size of a normal one, all the food we ordered was way too sweet and flat in taste. In the bowls we ordered there were very few and ordinary vegetables and the noodles were clumped all together making it impossible to eat them normally with chopsticks. We all had difficulty digesting our meals, unlikely usual Vietnamese food. The waiter had a weird attitude and while giving us the bill he asked how much we want to tip, which frankly felt a bit uncomfortable and unprofessional, especially when some prices in the menu are higher than what is offered. Not terrible but not a pleasant experience either overall.

Was there with friends last night, found the food okayish, but not amazing. My stomach was rummbling the whole evening after the dinner and one of my friends got a food poisoning after having a Buddha Bowl. She puked all night and the whole Buddha Bowl was out... Don't know what must have been done to the food to cause such a strong reaction (keywords: hygene, quality standarts, flavor enhancers etc.) definitelly aren't coming back here! The service was ok, as much as an unfriendly face can be ok - that's Berlin you would say. How come it is a standart?

Food was great, but the waiter made it very clear that he was expecting me to tip. At first he didn’t gave me the change, and when he realized that I was waiting for the change he rolled his eyes and gave the change. I only tip when I receive great service, but the waiter did nothing unexceptionally. He only brought it to our table. And to note, I’m a student.

Einfach immer gut. Sehr aufmerksamer Service, bestes, veganes Hühnchen weit und breit. Immer wechselnde, neue Angebote auf der Tageskarte. Vegan und auch Omni fühlt sich hier wohl.

Schönes Restaurant. Viel Auswahl auch Veggie oder Vegane Varianten! Preis Leistung ist komplett in Ordnung, für den netten service und das Ambiente.. BaoBuns sowie Dumplings und auch die Udon Nudeln waren super lecker.

I was living in Berlin for a few months with a friend and Gotcha was a firm favourite of ours. The food is delicious and the prices aren’t bad, but the service is pretty awful. They sort of just throw the food down in front of you without speaking and they don’t ever check on you throughout the meal, which is fine as it can be annoying when they come back to the table endlessly, but if you had to call them over for another drink or any additional requirements, you can tell that they are irritated by you. When we finished one particular meal, a waiter, who hadn’t been our waiter that night, asked us how much we wanted to pay, and we said the amount on the bill. He explained that the figure on the bill did not include a tip. I politely told him I understood that and would like to just pay the amount on the bill. He asked why and I explained that the food was nice, but that nothing about the experience compelled me to pay even more money then I already was. Keep in mind the service had been poor, he wasn’t even our waiter and he never once asked if we liked the food. He became quite angry and asked again for an explanation. I told him I enjoyed the food but that in relation to the service I was happy to just pay the bill amount as it. Eventually he moved on to my friend and the whole thing started again. When she also only paid the bill amount he laughed out loud and asked what country we were from. He finally took the payment and we left to glares and silence from the bar staff. Unfortunately a lot of places were like that in Berlin, they expect a tip for everything, even when it’s self-service tea and coffee in cafes.

We went there with our 2-year-old son and we were made to feel like he was an inconvenience. He slightly touched one of the plates the waitress was holding while cleaning up trying to get her attention and smiling at her and she looked at him in a terrible way and pulled away. She then asked us for a tip and we said no (due to the bad costumer service although we did not want to say anything to her) and she did not speak to us again, not say thank you after we paid or bye when we left the place, just looked at us with a blank face. Shocking costumer service.
