It used to be a good place. Now it's just a mediocre snack bar. What a shame.

Mediocre cafeteria food at best, at outrageous prices...I've rarely been served such poorly prepared fish. The fried potatoes were also terrible... :(((

It's just not a typical restaurant. I like to say high quality fast food, but everyone who goes to Gosch should know that. The food is still delicious, but the concept will never be my favorite. The Lister Fischhaus near Gosch is better!!!

The service is a complete disaster. Unfriendly! Disrespectful. Not recommended.

For me, mass production! Service is only available when clearing away. Here you can also see straight away that you don't stay seated for too long. I paid just under €25 for my meal. Afterwards I got a fish sandwich. I don't have to go there again.

Very disappointing. Rarely have I eaten such bad fried fish. Looked and tasted like a large fish stick, pressed fish in hard and greasy breading.

Completely overrated here on Norderney, small portions for a lot of money. I praise Gosch in List, see you in September 😉

When compared to SPO or Travemünde, a clear difference can be seen, unfortunately in a negative way. The counter staff were unfriendly and moody, the outside tables weren't cleaned properly, and unfortunately that's not right given the price level. The food on the plate was carelessly draped. Even if we're talking about convinience gastronomy here, it can be done much better, see other locations, not worth recommending for me.

GOSCH offers a good price/performance ratio. The food is delicious and you can quickly find a place, even for small groups, even without a reservation. However, due to the open kitchen, there may be unpleasant smells.

The holidaymakers take the beach wagon with them to the restaurant. The routes are delivered. I have no understanding of that.

Quality of the food is right. The atmosphere at Gosch is well known. That's also why you go there. However, the prices are very ambitious for a self-service shop, compared to a restaurant with similar high-quality dishes where you are also served.

Employees are unfriendly, very expensive, when we asked if you could order from the service people we were told it was self-service. Well, no sign of it outside. I probably won't be entering this store again.

Was there for the first time and absolutely loved it. Just great there and the food is really nicely prepared and of course super tasty 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Here you can find everything you would normally find at Gosch. Very friendly staff, delicious food, large selection of drinks and a cozy atmosphere.

Incredibly unfriendly service, everyone shoves their noses in the face and clears your glasses from the table while you're still drinking. At lunchtime, you're allowed to stand in the entrance area with a seat, but in the evening, this suddenly becomes an escape route, and this is communicated with a friendliness that goes beyond the "North German tone." Incredibly disappointed, incredibly poor service, won't be back. This wouldn't have happened under Mr. Gosch's direction. The food was really okay, though.

Unfortunately, the staff was once again very, very unfriendly. No hello, no thank you. Change is simply “thrown down” or people talk on FaceTime during preparation and ignore the customers. It's a shame because the rolls are actually very tasty. Then it’s better to go to Sylt.

Highly recommended...really good selection and everything fresh. It's quite busy from 6 p.m. onwards, but emptier again from 7:30 p.m. Large outdoor area for smokers.

The ladies at the entrance to the covered outdoor area don't show much interest in welcoming more guests at 8 p.m. when the house is almost full. Food wasn't a highlight but ok. The later "service" to clear away the room at 9 p.m. was intrusive because we wanted to finish work on time. Unfortunately we felt like we were in a snack bar. You would certainly expect a lot more from the name Gosch. Unfortunately not recommended for us.

You can feel the mass processing of a fast food restaurant for tourists. But every tourist wants to eat at Gosch once and the restaurant is up to the occasion. The plaice fillet was very good and not overpriced. You can taste the quality and that's what matters.

When you sit down in the restaurant everything is fine. Food good. A little more expensive but you can enjoy it. The. I call it "street food" and it's overpriced for the size of the rolls. That's a shame. So...sit down and eat in the dining room.

I went on a day trip to Norderney with my wife. And gosch couldn't be missing from the holiday routine. To our regret, gosch on Norderney is no longer what it used to be. We had fried fish with fries again and this time both were literally drowned in fat, which was never the case before. No garnish itself. I would probably have gotten better quality at a chip shop than at Gosch that day. I loved eating at gosch before, so I would like to ask you to have it checked out unannounced as to the quality as it spoiled our stomachs.

The game fish platter was good, although a bit greasy. The food is ready extremely quickly, the portions are generous, and the price-performance ratio is very good.

We bought a fried fish roll and a salmon roll. The fried fish is frozen goods, as we know it from retail stores. The salmon roll has a thin slice of salmon on it, a bit of onion and a dollop of sauce of your choice. We paid EUR 12 for this. Conclusion: It's not worth it in any way. You can get the frozen fried fish from Rewe & Co. as well as the salmon, a few onions, sauce and rolls together for less than EUR 12 and sometimes tastes better.

The Thai penne was lukewarm and carelessly thrown onto the plate. The only hot thing was the fatty shrimp. The fried herring had apparently been dry all afternoon with the salad on the plate, waiting to be eaten until the completely greasy fried potatoes were thrown in. Meanwhile, the staff was picking the leftover food out of their teeth and the rest of the employees were standing around looking bored. Unfortunately the one star has to be awarded.

Regards the Gosch Restaurant on Norderney....our first night on the island...27Oct'24....not a good welcoming experience....we asked if they could offer gluten-free items....the help smirked, acted like they had no idea what we wanted, and then gave us a three-ring binder to look for ourselves...we found several items...we waited for a waiter, and learned that we needed to order at the counter...so, i got up and went to the counter....once again, i stressed the need for one meal to be gluten-free....it was served-up very quickly, but the salads included bread, and cream sauce; they had no regard for our gluten-free request...when they re-did the salad, they put excessive oil&vinegar on the salad, even though we specifically requested "on-the-side".....i also noticed that we were charged for three salads, but we only ordered two....the help argued with me, stating that i, in fact, did order three salads...i replied, we are only two people.....as a work-around on the gluten-free issue, we asked if they could put a little crab meat on the wife's salad, so she could have some meat...i indicated that i knew it would be an up-charge...they said that this was not an option on their menu...then he said he could do it for us...when we got the bill, he charged us for an entire $19 crab-meat dinner in addition to the $14 soup/salad order....everything was quick-quick, with no regard for our requests; and no attempt to be a little friendly; and it was not busy; i commented that it was our first night on the island, and no human response....my plate was an obscene amount of runny potato salad with a small chunk of over-breaded fish; i ate about a third of the potato salad; no garnish, no concern for presentation.....when i picked-up my wife's corrected order, the three men behind the counter told me that thy hoped i would not come up to the counter again....i told them that i did not wish for conflict; i only needed to be careful about the gluten-free issue...(in my defense: my wife and i travel a lot; it seems that when we request gluten-free, restaurants are very sympathetic to our wishes, and very accommodating; it is not always easy to travel gluten-free, but most places try to help) this Gosch restaurant was the opposite.....i'm sure that the restaurant chain has a good business plan, but the counter personnel at this Norderney restaurant, this evening, were awful).......by contrast, the next two evenings, we ate at Lieb & Seele restaurant and deLeckerbeck restaurant; both were great experiences; both were free to discuss and recommend menu items...at deLeckerbeck, the cook said we could choose ANY item on the menu, and he would make sure that it was prepared gluten-free.

Typical Gosch - self-service at the counter with beepers for ordering food. Tasted good. The service staff are quick to get the tables back up to standard.

Service unfortunately unfriendly. Food wasn't that tasty because it was served colder. Ambiance also too narrow.

You have to know that this is a fast food restaurant. You order and pay for your food at the counter. You have to order drinks separately at the counter next door. If you pay with a card, the device will ask you to generate a tip. For which service? You get an alarm device at the table. We had the noble fish platter and the panfish platter. Both dishes were completely unseasoned and tasteless. Both plates were dripping with fat. The fish, the crabs and I think the fried potatoes had been fried. There was also a rich remoulade and mayonnaise sauce. We couldn't eat all that fat and we just felt sorry for the good fish and crabs, because they could certainly have been prepared much, much better. Both meals cost around 46 euros. With the best will in the world, we cannot recommend this restaurant.

A better chip shop, if anything. Plaice spongy and greasy. Fried potatoes too. We left the garlic bread behind after one bite. The best thing was the crabs, but these are not specially prepared. The staff absent and unfriendly. Then it's better to go to a local fish shop.

Gosch is also a good restaurant on Norderney... The fried fish that I ordered at the "self-service counter" was not freshly dipped in batter but looked like it was pre-formed and was fried in the fryer. At least the Pommis are in a second, separate fryer. ... Everything came on a plate that was unfortunately not preheated, which I was then able to pick up from the serving counter. Self-service... but the prices are also appropriately low. The fried fish (pre-formed as a fish fillet and breaded) isn't that great in my opinion, but the taste is just OK... I think we would order from Gosch again.

We always enjoy coming here. Service good, food fantastic. Special requests are fulfilled at any time. It's always a pleasure! Great wine selection. The boss is often there in person and goes from table to table, greeting everyone. You feel “welcome” here! We therefore do not understand the often bad reviews. Gosch Norderney is worth a visit...

The fried fish was delicious. Potato salad and remoulade sauce were “out of the bucket”: very poor finished quality. In addition, the service was not very motivated. Price/performance is not right. It's just Gosh.

It's remarkable how a place like this presents itself. Placing an order was very problematic because the drinks lady was also in charge of the orders. Ordered soup as a starter and then two main courses. The dongle rings and there are four dishes ready to be picked up. When asked that the soup was the starter, the answer was "that's just the way it is". While you eat, the staff sits around you and watches videos on the internet on their cell phones. “Top ambience”. Price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. The name is Gosch but North Sea is “Friendlier - Cheaper”.

Very snippy staff. Speak to each other in their national language. A language barrier is clearly noticeable. Portion (salmon with baked potato) was quite small, but very tasty.

If the staff in the service and kitchen area put as much effort into it as they do with the cell phone, then we could certainly give more stars.

You will be asked to tip before you have your meal. The fried fish was frozen and swam briefly in the frying pan. So unfortunately we won't be coming back.

My wife and I have been coming here to eat for years and it has always been delicious, no matter what dish we have ordered. The interior is very cozy. The staff is very polite and helpful. We always enjoy coming back to eat here, whether in winter or summer. If you've never been here before, you should stop by and see for yourself. I can only recommend it to everyone. Four of us tried to order something to eat on a normal day. The store wasn't crowded either. I've never been so rudely attacked by the service staff in the food serving area as at Gosch on Norderney. The gentlemen at the drinks were nice.

If you want to get something to eat quickly, it's worth a visit. The self-service works, the service behind the counter during the ordering process answers questions from guests who don't know about Gosch in a Nordic, concise and dry way... friendly is different. In my opinion, a photo of each dish is missing so that you can get an idea of ​​the food. My baked potato was pretty mushy (maybe the wrong kind?), and the salmon slices were poorly arranged around it. System catering...?

Self-service, on high chairs in the covered outdoor area with radiant heaters. Perfect for a quick meal in between, but not a cozy holiday restaurant for dinner. That's why we didn't bother and just picked up a fried fish sandwich for €6.50. Fried fish was tasty and fresh. Service at the hatch is not necessarily overly motivated.

I only ate a fish sandwich with fried fish on hand on the way. Value for money here is okay for €6.50. It was a large fish stick :-) in a long roll. Otherwise relatively expensive for self-service. Looked comfortable though.

We stayed as a couple in the Gosch, as is known SB, staff polite and friendly. My wife had fish and chips, although the fish was very dark, I had the platter of fish fillet, lots of bones. 🤦‍♀️

All I can say is: Gosch shrimp - delicious to melt in!

As always, very tasty. There is no table service, you place your orders yourself at the counter and then pick them up. But it doesn't bother at all. It's cozy inside and outside. Good selection of food and drinks. Gosch is a must for us as soon as we are either on Norderney or in St. Peter Ording.
