Goldener Stern in Oederan

Wir waren am vergangenen Wochenende zur Jugendweihefeier meines Neffen im Goldenen Stern eingeladen. Das Personal war außerordentlich nett und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war ebenfalls sehr lecker (auch Vegetarier werden hier nicht mit leerem Magen nach Hause gehen). Ebenfalls kann man sich nach dem reichhaltigen Mahl beim Minigolf oder Bowling die Kalorien wieder etwas abtrainieren. 😅 Einzig für Hundebesitzer ist die Location nicht ganz so gut geeignet, da es dort rel. schwierig ist mit dem Hund Vor-Ort eine vernünftige Gassirunde drehen zu können - dafür kann die Location an sich nichts, aber vllt. kann der Goldene Stern ja mit der Gemeinde etwas arrangieren, dass ein kleiner Rundweg um den angrenzenden Wald gezogen wird, oder so? 😊

Leider ist die Qualität des Essens nicht mehr die, die sie mal war, sehr schade. Bei den Preisen kann man schon ein kleines Geschmackserlebnis erwarten, aber so einen enttäuschenden Spargel habe ich, glaube ich, echt noch nie gegessen! Selbst die Kartoffeln waren eine Zumutung mit ihrer gummiartigen, harten Haut! Auch unsere Bekannten bestätigten meine Meinung und bemerkten, dass selbst das Schnitzel ohne jeglichen Geschmack war. Ich wollte dem Stern nach 1 1/2 Jahren wieder eine Chance geben, weil ich damals schon mehrfach enttäuscht vom Essen war, aber leider hat es sich noch nicht wieder gebessert... Sorry, aber es musste wirklich mal gesagt werden, damit sich endlich wieder was ändert, denn wir sind immer sehr gern in den STERN gegangen!

Das Essen ist sehr gut und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hat viel Humor! Auf der anderen Straßenseite gibt es einen tollen Eisladen, einen Minigolfplatz und ein Tiergehege.

Die Zimmer kenne ich nicht. Der Rest ist super...vor allem der Streichelzoo!

Solider Gasthof mit gutem Essen und freundlicher Bedienung. Die Gaststube ist schön gestaltet und lädt zum verweilen ein. Zu Ostern war die Speisekarte nur ein Blatt Papier (3Stück für 11 Personen). Das fand ich etwas schwach. Ansonsten eine gute Adresse.

Wir hatten eine rundum wunderschöne Zeit im Memmendorfer Stern! Wir waren am Nachmittag zum Bowlingspielen dort und haben anschließend gemeinsam zu Abend gegessen. Den restlichen Abend haben wir entspannt vor Ort verbracht und uns unter anderem auch die Tiere angeschaut – eine wirklich tolle Atmosphäre. Das Essen war super lecker und die Bedienungen durchweg sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Ein ganz besonderes Lob geht an Lars, der uns fast den gesamten Nachmittag und Abend begleitet hat. Mit seiner lockeren Art und seinen lustigen Sprüchen hat er unseren Aufenthalt noch einmal extra besonders gemacht! Ein absolutes Highlight war außerdem das Joghurt-Eis – das kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen, es war einfach mega lecker! Insgesamt hatten wir eine wunderschöne Geburtstagsfeier, die bis zum Schluss sehr angenehm und richtig lustig war. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall sehr gerne wieder!

Es gibt eine große Auswahl an sehr gutem Essen. Alles ist frisch zu bereitet uns es schmeckt super. Wer hier hungrig nach Hause geht, ist selber Schuld!👍😊 Der Spielplatz und das Tiergehege ist genau das richtige für Kinder.

Ich kann nur über das Restaurant berichten, Service absolut Klasse, Ambiente im Restaurant auch super, meine Vorspeise das Würzfleisch war der Hammer und der Preis mega, nur von der Hauptspeise Schnitzel vom Rind mit kanadischen Pommes oder was das war für 26.90 € war mehr als enttäuschend. Meine Begleitungen waren ebenfalls nur bedingt begeistert. Schade

Vergangenes Wochenende feierten wir ein Campertreffen. Die Gaststätte ist sehr schön. Das Essen hat allen super geschmeckt. Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren zum Geburtstag eingeladen Essen ganz lecker und dann noch ne runde Bowling. Aufmerksames Personal alles perfekt.

Wir feierten einen runden Geburtstag am vergangenen Wochenende .Es war Dank des sehr aufmerksamen ,freundlichen Personals und dem leckeren Essen über vegan ,vegetarisch ,Kinderkarte ein gelungene Feier .Toll fanden unsere Gäste auch die Bowlingbahn ,selbst unser Vierjähriger hatte viel Spass .

Wir waren nur zum Abendessen hier.Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Service besonders aufmerksam.

Haben nur das Gasthaus besucht. Sauber, ausreichend Platz durch große offene Räume, die Ausstattung ein wenig stillos aber gepflegt.

War nicht im Hotel aber das Restaurant ist eine Enttäuschung.

Nach etwas Zeit und viele Gedanken, die einen keine Ruhe lassen, nun doch diese Rezension. So was unfreundliche Personal von Anfang an bis zur Abreise hab ich noch nie erlebt! Wir hatten 2-Nächte gebucht. Meine Frau und ich, kamen sich vor wie überflüssig. Und dass offensichtlich,,,"Sie können bezahlen wann immer sie wollen." Wir wollten dann gleich bezahlen. "Jetzt nicht!" war die promte Antwort. Und so ging, oder so ähnlich, es dann die zwei Tage weiter. Zimmer aus den 60'er, Essen war sehr schlecht. Lachs trocken gebraten. Kein Wunder bei 6!!! Groß Veranstaltungen und geöffnet Restaurant an einem Abend. Seit ca 10Uhr war in der Küche Stress, da überlebt kein Fisch bis 19Uhr. Personal war bemüht, bis auf die Frau an der Rezeption mit dann Haaren auf den Zähnen. So geht man einfach nicht mit Gästen um, die wieder kommen dürfen. Und Tschüss

We were at a birthday party yesterday. Everyone enjoyed the food, from lunch to coffee. All requests were fulfilled.

Although it's been a few months since our visit, I haven't felt so unwelcome as a guest in a long time. We weren't allowed to sit outside because we would have had to walk through a party and disturb them. That's fine. However, all the guests in the party were walking loudly through the dining room, talking and greeting each other at a considerable volume. We were only served after asking several times. Guests who arrived after us were served sooner and were even paying before we had even received our first meal. We had three different waiters. One was a very nice young woman, but the rest just gave us dirty looks, even though we were always polite despite everything. That was the first and last time I'll ever be at this restaurant...it's a shame, because the food was actually quite good.

I stayed here for two nights on a business trip. The hotel is comfortably furnished, the rooms are clean, and breakfast has everything you need. Dinner was excellent. The location is somewhat secluded; the main road next to the hotel is audible in the rooms. However, this didn't bother me.

We celebrated a milestone birthday with a larger group, including coffee, dinner, and an evening snack. I should mention beforehand that the restaurant was fully booked, which sometimes led to staffing shortages and therefore delays. For the most part, we were very satisfied with everything that was offered. While not every server was particularly enthusiastic and some gave a few curt replies, we accepted that under the circumstances. Ultimately, we received very friendly service, and special requests were promptly fulfilled. A big thank you to our young head server! ☺️ The overnight stay was also good, and the breakfast was excellent. 👍🏻 We all sat together afterward and reminisced about the previous day. In conclusion: Things don't always go perfectly; we're all human. We felt comfortable, were able to celebrate, and enjoy the day, thanks to the team at the "Golden Star." We would love to come back again. 👋

We arrived unannounced on a Saturday evening and received a very friendly welcome! The restaurant was full, but all the staff were very friendly. The food was so delicious, and we simply felt like we were in good hands! Where else can you find such quality and, on top of that, such dedicated and friendly staff? We were thrilled and will gladly spread the word! Thank you and all the best to everyone, and keep up the good work!

We were supposed to have a lovely family dinner after ages. However, this visit turned out to be an absolute disaster. Where do I begin... We waited 20 minutes for our drinks order, even though three waiters were serving a group across the street. The menu was "slimmed down" in A4 format, wrapped in clear plastic. The explanation was because of the holidays, too many guests, too few staff, but serving three groups. The food, phew, my plate was so hot (microwaved), the sauce had curdled and was covered in skin. The neck steak was a real disaster. Unfortunately, the other three dishes weren't any better. Special requests, such as fries instead of fresh dumplings, were met with snide comments. We arrived at 6:30 p.m. and were able to eat at 7:50 p.m. Just remember, the sauce was from a packet, the vegetables were frozen, the fries were frozen and completely oversalted. The sauerbraten was tough. The venison goulash looked different twice, and so on and so forth. In the entire time, we didn't get a drinks menu or dessert menu, not a single question asked about new drinks. Across the street, however, there's a lively family celebration going on. You feel like you've been slightly ripped off. The four dishes didn't even arrive at the table at the same time. When constructive criticism was offered at the end, there was no understanding and the table was left during the conversation. I'm so disappointed, and the reviews confirm our experience. With statements like "the apprentice is in the kitchen," it'll be hard to recapture the old days. A lot of money for little service. I advise everyone against a visit.

Service was excellent, but unfortunately, 3 out of 5 dishes were too salty. The surroundings, with animals and a playground for children, were super nice!

We had dinner at the Golden Star today, and it was very nice. The waiters who were out in front of the hotel opened the doors for us, and the service left nothing to be desired from start to finish. Despite the wedding party, the food arrived quickly and was very tasty. We would be happy to dine with you again. Good luck!

The food is mediocre and relatively expensive – as you'd expect from a German restaurant. Service was okay, but unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right in my opinion.

We were there for a family celebration. Everything was perfect. We highly recommend it.

We had dinner on Saturday evening with a reservation. Everything went perfectly, from the reservation to the food. Very friendly staff, and we also have high praise for the kitchen. We opted for roast venison and, for starters, a spicy beef soup and cream of tomato soup. We were more than satisfied, and the flavor was excellent. Because it tasted so good, we ate everything without hesitation, despite feeling full early. In summary, everything, including the staff, was 5 stars, and we'd gladly return.

We always enjoy coming here; both the restaurant and the ice cream over there are great. And the new dog ice cream is a real hit.

Unfortunately, neither the food nor the previously very friendly service nor the family atmosphere can compare to the time before we took over the business. The trend is clearly declining, and we as a family no longer enjoy eating out at the restaurant. At my class reunion, I'm giving it a maximum of one star for the quality of the food, the service, and the atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the meal wasn't a highlight, and honestly, I don't need to prepare a steak au fort with hollandaise sauce. It may be a matter of taste, but it didn't really suit my taste.

We were here for a family celebration. The ambiance is very nice. But the food truly exceeded all expectations. One time, the broccoli was completely overcooked, the sauce for the roast venison tasted burnt, and the cocktails were filled to the brim with ice. It's impossible to list everything, but there were so many aspects to the food that none of us were entirely satisfied with. Our stomachs were really upset afterward. The service was also quite unfriendly at times. We'd rather go to the Räuberschänke. It's not far away, but highly recommended. We definitely won't be coming back.

We were guests at the Stern again this year. Unfortunately, it's not that nice anymore. The service, the rooms, the food, everything has deteriorated considerably. I don't even want to talk about the staff. We won't be back!!!

Service was okay. I could have made the food myself at home for half the price, since it's all frozen anyway. The seasonal crumble had no crumble at all, just raw dough and warm fruit. To describe it as a disappointment would be an understatement. Update: The server excused the food by saying, "The apprentice is in the kitchen."

The food has deteriorated considerably. The new conditions aren't great either. Since it's been under new ownership, the restaurant has been on a downward spiral.

Great hotel with excellent cuisine and great staff. We stayed at this hotel again, and I can't understand the negative reviews. We checked in here with 10 people for two nights. We received first-class service. The food was once again impeccable, and the staff were super friendly. We had a great time. Many thanks to the entire team, and we will be back.

Very nice guesthouse. Great food and a lovely beer garden. Clean rooms with a lovely, fresh-smelling bed.

We went bowling and for dinner. Bowling was great, and so was the service. Unfortunately, the food has deteriorated considerably. A lot of the food was drenched in hollandaise sauce, which isn't even on the menu (I don't think you can serve it with steak au four). My friend had fish for €23. A tiny piece with lots of bones, my roast beef was simply a small piece of sirloin with what felt like a kilo of onions. Mustard and dark beer were completely missing. Plus, it was so salty I couldn't eat it. It's a shame, really; we always enjoyed going there. Our servers were all very polite and friendly, though.

My food was substandard: overcooked vegetables and no cooked-to-order meat. The vegetables had no bite and were completely lacking in seasoning. After reporting a problem, the kitchen was rude and offered no response.

We had a party there and everything was great!

We wanted to spend a pleasant evening with friends at your restaurant today. We were greeted by a middle-aged waitress. My husband wanted a turkey schnitzel, which he literally responded with: "This isn't possible, it's not a turkey schnitzel pre-breaded or prepared." This statement alone is very sad for this type of restaurant. He then ordered a cordon bleu with asparagus, which was an absolute disgrace. The asparagus was completely dried out, woody, and dark. The cordon bleu was definitely not homemade, and the fries that came with it were worth zero stars. After the first meal was returned, my husband also criticized his meal. It was simply accepted, without any apology or other kind of accommodation. From that point on, our table was simply ignored, and thus, it was no longer possible to purchase drinks. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant!

ZERO STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, a completely disappointing visit. The asparagus was a disaster – woody, bitter, and with black spots. Honestly, that sort of thing doesn't belong on a plate, but in the organic waste. The gnocchi were also inedible – soft, tasteless, and obviously cheap, ready-made. I had to return the food, which rarely happens to me, but here it was simply unacceptable. For a restaurant with high standards, this was a bitter disappointment. Not a recommendation – neither for the palate nor for the wallet. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. CAUTION!!!

Very nice country hotel with truly excellent food. One night's stay; the apartment was quiet even though a main road runs in front of the hotel. Parking directly in front of the hotel. 5G reception, Telekom IO Wi-Fi, I don't know. Family celebration in a private room. A very good breakfast. Very friendly, competent service.

I'm appalled at what has become of this good German restaurant. Nothing freshly prepared, tasteless, reheated convenience food. A roast pork that looked as white as a dead hamster. It came with unseasoned fried potatoes, some of which were far from cooked. The other dish was advertised as a vegan pancake with a herb filling. The pancake mixture itself was indefinable and tasted of nothing. The filling consisted of raw spinach with a good amount of greens and twigs. It was more likely intended for the llamas from the farm across the street. All in all, a culinary experience below GDR Mitropa level. Including drinks, the star-rated experience cost 50 takken. I will definitely warmly recommend the Goldener Stern Memmendorf to my numerous personal enemies and all other people I can't stand. And always remember: the last one to leave turns out the lights!

Hello, we were always very satisfied, today for Mother's Day... there was a lot of tk goods and it wasn't great. Staff very nice...unfortunately the food wasn't good. Schnitzel and cordon blue...not good

I had a pretty good picture of the star beforehand, but unfortunately the last visit left me quite speechless. The service was extremely sharp, sometimes really rude, but also snotty and impatient. Before interacting with the table, a fake smile was put on for 2 seconds, which disappeared in an instant. The fact that some people didn't drink champagne when toasting was a problem. The fact that they usually get a non-alcoholic alternative seemed to the waitress to be an unknown and incredibly time-consuming process. The waitress's whining about this was so unpleasant for some at the table that some even forewent a glass to toast. The food was like something from a Kabel 1 test show. Vegetables boiled to death. Almost all dishes had hollandaise, but as far as I remember there was nothing about it on the menu. The rump steak that some guests had, although actually well fried to medium rare, was so tough that there must be something wrong with the quality. There were no steak knives. This for a whopping €31 - you'd expect a lot. You can't get it here. Price-performance is not given at all. Guests who ordered medium well received the response “I’ll make it medium first, then you can give it back to me.” Still wondering what the problem was. Ultimately, I thought it was a shame for the hostess, who wanted to spend a nice day with the family and guests and of course didn't open a barrel when there was a large group. You then swallow it down out of politeness to the group. In any case, I won't be coming back.

Large yard with a variety of options to pass the time. Unfortunately unsuitable for larger groups. Our tables were cleaned and prepared when we asked for our pre-order. It depends on the service whether the table is served. A coffee can take 40 minutes. There is no apology from service, but rather clumsy, unfriendly statements that the machine just takes so long. Other tables were quickly supplied during this time. They weren't sure about the ingredients either. In the end it wasn't clear to us whether the cake was with or without alcohol or simply spoiled. In this case, the service saw no error on its side. We were loudly and angrily assured that you had no idea what was in the cake and so there was no need to apologize for that. Furthermore, we were served very listlessly and condescendingly for the first hour. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to have coffee together because we had to wait more than 15 minutes for all of our orders. The newly trained staff were also treated very condescendingly and unfriendly in front of the guests. After more than an hour, the service staff changed at our table and suddenly we were served in a friendly and quick manner. No more drinks were forgotten and orders came quickly. Suddenly you felt comfortable and wanted as a guest. So we were all able to enjoy dinner together at the same time. Everyone enjoyed it too. This makes you realize how much the service can spoil the impression of what is actually a good restaurant.

We bought and ate delicious ice cream and cake here. Very clean and well decorated place. Friendly staff. We were opposite the hotel. The hotel looks very good and tidy from the outside, and there were a lot of guests eating there, which you could see. We will definitely come here again when we are in the area. I personally can highly recommend it. 👍

We were at the Goldener Stern Memmendorf with a tour group on March 11, 2025. It was a belated Women's Day outing. We were greeted and seated very nicely. Afterwards there was an excellent lunch. This was followed by a two-part show program and coffee drinking. We were very satisfied with everything. The only small drawback is that the inn is located directly on the busy B 173. Interesting to mention that there is a small farm shop, a mini golf course, a petting enclosure and other animals to look at in the immediate vicinity. We were completely satisfied with the trip.

A very nice restaurant with numerous rooms for small and large groups and celebrations. The rooms are warm, bright, and comfortably furnished. The entire staff is motivated, very friendly, helpful, and always up for a bit of fun. A top address for family celebrations, outings, or just a meal. Thank you all, it was a fantastic evening.
