Went here with our family for a late lunch. Conveniently, there is a lunch menu that is valid until 5 p.m. We had the currywurst and the tarte flambée. There was also homemade iced tea. The food was excellent and the service was also very good and friendly. We sat outside. You're sitting in a not so nice pedestrian zone in the city center, but the outside area of ​​the restaurant is so well decorated that it's a nice atmosphere. The seating is a bit uncomfortable because the seat and table heights are unfavorably matched. For us, the Goldalm is a real insider tip in downtown Wuppertal. We cannot understand the existing bad reviews. Luckily we didn't let that stop us. If we are in Wuppertal again, we will definitely like to stop here again.

We spontaneously decided to have breakfast here on a Saturday morning after strolling through the city for a while and looking for a nice place. We received an extremely friendly welcome. The outside area looked inviting. The interior itself was beautifully decorated, warm colors, large dining room, but also small corners where you could sit down comfortably. At first we weren't sure whether we should stay, but we were given the time to look at the buffet to decide whether it was something for us. We opted for the breakfast buffet, which costs around €18.90 per person. Filter coffee and various juices are included here. Other coffee specialties available for an additional charge. The buffet itself had a nice selection and left nothing to be desired. There were various bread specialties, sweet pastries and various yoghurts as well as fresh fruit. There was a nice selection of sausages, cheese and small desserts. Jam, sweet spreads as well as muesli and milk alternatives were also available. The coffee also tastes good. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were treated appropriately and made us feel comfortable at all times. Even the toilets were a visual experience.

We specifically went here to try their beers tasters/planks/flights. A great bar and restaurant centrally located with cheek interior and decor with an open and airy atmosphere and vibe. Cool place for beer drinking and relaxation.

The service was very friendly and the selection at the breakfast buffet was very varied. I like that the individual spreads were already portioned in small jars and not all mixed around in one pot. The rolls are fresh and also very tasty.

Food is beautifully prepared, my daughter had pasta (very small portion) I had a salad (16.90 plus 5 euros for the vegan topping) with additional vegan schnitzel. My wife had a vegan burger. Both women had iced tea (6.90 euros), I had a coffee that the waitress had forgotten... All in all 72 euros 🙄 . Portions small to okay, prices are exorbitant. The ambience and location are nice to excellent.

An ingredient was missing from a cocktail. When approached, the service asked and there was actually an ingredient missing. I would be very sorry to that person and thank you for the tip. The taste of the cocktail was not that good. When it came to the bill, it was charged in full. When asked, the service asked why it was charged in full or whether there was only a curt “yes” as an answer. No apology, no compensation. A pity. This shouldn't happen with the prices.

Unfortunately the quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired. During my visit I opted for a Wienerschnitzel, which made a disappointing impression when it was served. It turned out to be a frozen and pre-breaded schnitzel. The waiter, who was friendly and courteous, confirmed this when asked. A frozen schnitzel dripping in fat does not meet the expectations of a restaurant serving Bavarian-Austrian cuisine. Especially with a dish like Wienerschnitzel, quality should come first. For the price that Goldalm charges for this dish, the quality offered is simply not acceptable. In summary, it can be said that the Goldalm in Wuppertal scores with a nice ambience, but should urgently work on the quality of its Wiener Schnitzel. Especially when it comes to traditional dishes, a higher standard should be set in order to offer guests a satisfying culinary experience. I spoke to the waiter and he told me from the kitchen that a system restaurant, which is the Goldalm, cannot deliver the quality that I expect.

One sunny afternoon I met a colleague in the city. We quickly found a nice place in the Goldalm. Unfortunately, the waiter gave the impression that he didn't feel like working. We ordered pasta and truffle fries. The fries were not fresh, very cold and had no taste. Although the outdoor area is very attractive, the service could be improved in terms of friendliness.

Half a beer for €6 is steep, a burger for just under €20 isn't a bargain either, but I've never eaten such a dry burger, it literally made dust! Unfortunately, it wasn't until afterwards that I looked at the menu to see which sauces should have been on it. My complaint to the waiter was met with the answer: “I’ll ask the chef.” ....I'm still waiting for an answer today. NEVER AGAIN!

Eating was completely normal. However, the service was terribly bad, we wanted an espresso at the end, but the espresso never came and didn't come. We pointed it out again and he came. It's ok at first, but then we wanted the bill and it didn't come again. We asked the waitress again, but she wasn't responsible for our table. We have eaten at the Goldalm several times and have always been very satisfied, but since June 10th (Monday) we will no longer be visiting this restaurant. We were invited because a friend celebrated her engagement there and had reserved a table. At first everything went well, we were well received and we were quickly asked if we could have something to drink and then directly about the food. The first drinks came quickly and the food was, as always, very tasty. Over the course of the evening we realized that this restaurant probably finds it normal to consume alcohol at the bar and mention it loudly (“Let's have another tequilla, shot, etc.) We had to realize that this was probably more important than the guest To make or bring drinks and had to wait almost 25 minutes for 3 beers. You could see that the lady at the counter in particular was drunk and was shouting loudly or talking to guests or having conversations with them (presumably her husband) and exchanging lasting intimacy. It was also noticeable that her colleagues, especially two women, didn't like it that much and then had to reprimand her. (Please do your job, I've had enough with you / Why are you drinking at the bar, we shouldn't.) All in all, we had to wait a long time for drinks that didn't taste good in the end because the lady probably didn't add any quantities due to the consumption could assess cocktails. The service staff couldn't take care of us anymore because they had to make drinks at the same time. When we asked a nice waitress with blonde hair whether such behavior could not be passed on to the boss, we were shocked when we were told that this was the boss's idea and that she had probably prepared the alcoholic drinks for the employee also already very drunk at the bar. We were here with a group of 8 people. The service started off strong but then unfortunately declined. At the beginning the glass was barely empty and people asked and towards the end you had to ask if you could get anything else. The food was OK but not a highlight. I had the knuckle, which could have been a little browner. The sauerkraut was inedible, which was later confirmed by the waitress and they apologized, but there was no “compensation”. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes were also more fluffy than crispy. All in all, a lot of room for improvement above....

Ich mag die entspannte Atmosphäre dieses Restaurants – man fühlt sich wie im gemütlichen Wohnzimmer von Freunden. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, um noch andere Gerichte zu probieren. Die Kartoffel-Lauch-Suppe war super und der Cäsarsalat war erfrischend. Was den Seeteufel betrifft, waren die Meinungen gespalten – ein Freund fand ihn großartig, ein anderer meinte, dass die Gewürze nicht ganz zueinander passten. Vom Grillsteak waren alle begeistert. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Lokal ist modern, aber auch gemäß des Konzeptes mit alpenländischen Anleihen versehen (Kuhbilder). Das Essen ist preislich zwar gehoben, aber die Qualität ist sehr gut und die Portionen lassen auch keine Wünsche offen Haxe und Haxenpfanne). Insgesamt ein schönes kulinarisches Erlebnis.

Beim Sonntags-Buffet sind die Warmspeisen leider maximal lauwarm, eher leider kalt. Hier sollten die Behälter wärmer eingestellt werden. Ja, es gibt Personen, die sich salzarm ernähren, aber beim Rührei absolut null Gewürz zu verpassen, das ist schon schade. Na gut, überall ist Salz und Pfeffer zu finden, aber wie schon vorher bewertet, auch das Rührei war nur noch kalt Personal selbst war auf jeden Fall überaus freundlich und benutztes Geschirr wurde regelmäßig abgeräumt

The only point of criticism is that the chairs in the outdoor area are not very comfortable. But we will definitely eat there again as the menu still has a few very interesting things to offer.

Das Buffet ist sehr gut, man hat alles was man braucht und die einzelnen Sachen schmecken gut. Außerdem ist es toll, dass Getränke im Buffet vorhanden sind. Es war sehr voll und dementsprechend waren einige Sachen am Buffet schnell leer, es wurde aber auch immer zügig aufgefüllt. Da es voll war, hat es auch immer etwas gedauert, bis eine Service Kraft an den Tisch kam, aber alles in allem ist das Frühstücksbüffet sehr zu empfehlen!

We were at the breakfast buffet on Sunday with children (6y & 9y). The dishes were delicious and varied. Unfortunately, the buffet was set up in a narrow passage, so you had to squeeze through crowds of other guests with each course. A large part of the food was set up on high tables or the counter, so that even the tall child (145cm) was not able to serve himself. The service was friendly but difficult to get. I would come back alone, but probably not with children.

At least it was cleared away relatively quickly. After that we still weren't served. We weren't even asked if we wanted to order anything else and we weren't even noticed anymore. The service was really subpar, so a second visit is definitely out of the question for me. The food was tasty, but also very expensive. All in all, I would definitely advise against visiting.

Very nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Minus point: the waitress often walked past until she came to our table and it took 10 minutes for her to take the order. Everyone only ordered 1 wine and it came after 18 minutes. Everything could be better organized and quicker for a glass of wine. A 0.2l Pinot Gris costs €7.90 and the bottom line is that there was less in 0.2l. We didn't want to complain or complain about anything, but we just don't want to go there again.

In itself a very stylish and modern restaurant. For veggies and vegans, there are a sufficient number of dishes that are also large enough. Prices might be a bit high... Unfortunately the service really let us down. At the beginning someone came by to order drinks and, if requested, food, but later we - and other guests - were ignored. The tables where there were no longer any guests were cleared away. Our plates only upon request. The staff seemed very disinterested and bored. And after several waves and shouts, someone eventually came to take the drink requests. The service is in great need of improvement.

Not a full score because, despite having a reservation, you only have the table for about 2 hours, which is definitely too short if you're meeting friends there. I tried the vegan Maultaschen and the fries. Fries and sauce were great, the Maultaschen tasted a bit too bland for me personally, but that's purely a matter of taste, but the accompanying salad was good, but the ambience was right.

Wir hatten die Platte für 2 Personen mit"von allem etwas" . Außer den Bratkartoffeln hat leider nichts geschmeckt. Die Sachen schmeckten aufgewärmt: mag sein dass das Standard ist aber in anderen Lokalitäten fällt es mir nicht auf. Total schade, weil der Laden an sich nett wirkte.

The restaurant is quite cozy and not too intrusively decorated. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and also happy to joke around. We had a good time :) . I had the knuckle pan. So the meat has already been separated from the knuckle, along with fried potatoes and very, very well-made sauerkraut. I think there was a squeeze of lemon in the sauerkraut, which was really good. The portion was sufficient and the price was around 19.20. Plus two drinks and with a tip I came to a total of 32 euros. I can only recommend it :) :)

Das Essen war qualitativ wirklich schlecht. Die vegane Sauce auf dem Flammkuchen schmeckte wie Mayonnaise. Das war wirklich ekelhaft penetrant. Auf die Kritik reagierte die Kellnerin kaum. Generell war diese sehr forsch, unaufmerksam und wirkte auch sehr genervt auf Nachfragen oder Bestellungen. Der andere Flammkuchen war kaum belegt und das für, ich glaube 18€ oder so? Ziemlich abgezockt. Auch der Tisch war sehr unschön - am schmalen Gang direkt am Eingang und an der Scheibe zum Außenbereich wo direkt auch Leute saßen. Es war als säßen diese mit uns am Tisch. Dazu unverhältnismäßig teuer für das was uns geboten wurde. Wir werden nicht nochmal hingehen.

Es war immer alles top. Nur wenn die Musik leiser wäre, dann wäre es noch besser.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr schön. Es ist zwar groß aber nicht zu laut. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt, die Portionen könnten minimal größer sein. Ohne Vorspeise wären wir nicht satt geworden. Service top und Getränke top!

Even the Kaasspatzn, which I like to use as an indicator dish, were extremely good and authentic (if such a thing even exists). I see huge potential for development in service. Unfortunately, this doesn't fit into the otherwise positive overall impression. The obvious reduction in personnel is annoying, but difficult to control from the existing team. However, maintaining the level of attention and communication towards guests at an appropriate level is the responsibility of every employee.

Getränke ( Aperol, Lillet, Radler aus der Flasche und gezapftes Bier wurden alle einzeln serviert und dauerten recht lange, auf das Essen haben wir leider auch länger warten müssen, obwohl nicht viel los, dafür kam der Nachtisch sehr schnell
