Yesterday was my third visit, and the bartender was incredibly slow. My order was taken quickly and politely, but then you just wait and wait. Yesterday was a record: I waited 17 minutes for my beer. No, I'm done with this place!

I managed to snag a table for two at short notice on a Christmas Friday. It was packed, and the service was brisk. We had a lovely evening. Until we paid. A baked potato and two small Paulaner beers on tap came to over €24. The baked potato was €11.10. It seemed a bit pricey to me. The explanation: The dry baked potato arrived with so little thick, albeit tasty, sour cream that I had to order more. Twice, in fact (and I still had potato left over). Each time, a tiny portion arrived, maybe a tablespoon at most, in a tiny glass, and that cost an extra €2.50! Sorry, but that's unacceptable. If I had known, I would have sent the food back. So, what was supposed to be a cheap baked potato turned into a €16.10 meal. On the plus side: Erik from the service team. Good job! My first and probably last visit. What a shame.

After two years, I gave the restaurant a second chance – unfortunately without success. My dish (chicken with Mediterranean vegetables) was completely tasteless: the chicken was dry and unseasoned, the vegetables simply boiled. On top of that, the service was very poor: we waited over 30 minutes just to order drinks. Overall, a disappointing visit that I unfortunately cannot recommend.

The restaurant was relatively empty, yet it still took almost 15-20 minutes before we were served. One person was missing their mayonnaise, which we immediately pointed out when the food arrived. It was supposed to be brought right away, but it arrived after everyone at the table had already finished eating. When we pointed out that it was no longer needed, the waiter simply said, "Oh, I see, you ate quickly. I'll take it back then." No apology or anything, and we certainly hadn't eaten quickly. Furthermore, half the table was cleared, and the rest was cleared almost 10 minutes later (it was more important to clean the bar). Finally, the bill also took almost 10 minutes to arrive after we had asked for it – and lo and behold, the unused mayonnaise, which the waiter had taken back, was also charged to our bill. We were greeted extremely rudely by a waiter; we felt very unwelcome. We then waited 50 minutes for two drinks and a Kaiserschmarrn!

We were a group of five at the Goldalm breakfast buffet today. We really enjoyed it. There was a good selection, and the food was constantly being replenished. The service was friendly and attentive. Excellent, keep it up! We'd love to come back again. Highly recommended!

I ordered from Lieferando today, a public holiday. The order was accepted, but after almost two hours, it was cancelled without explanation. It's great that you have so much work; I'm happy for everyone. This is not what customer service should look like!

Today I ordered food from them for the first time via Uber, never again! I ordered two currywursts with fries and pasta with salmon and cream sauce. The food was cold and the portions were very small. The pasta with salmon didn't have any salmon, but it did have Parmesan cheese that hadn't been ordered separately – a small tub for €1. I was very impressed with the food when I ate there, but as a delivery, it's absolutely unacceptable. I'm incredibly disappointed and angry. €15 for pasta in sauce? I could have cooked that myself. Besides, the cherry tomatoes were completely mushy. I'm sorry I'm getting so emotional, but I'm just furious about this poor quality for such a high price and the audacity of serving such a dish.

Super stylish restaurant. Everything was top-notch. I'd gladly come back again and again; excellent value for money.

Great ambiance, delicious food, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Both the breakfast (especially on Sundays) and the dishes at other times of day are all excellent! We'll be back regularly.

The two of us walk in, a waiter right at the door, the place empty. No greeting, not even a lift of the head to look at us. I ask if we can just choose a seat – yes. I ask the attendant to wipe the table because there were still food scraps from other guests. Beer mats are thrown onto our table, and our drinks are slammed down. No please, thank you, or friendly smile – nothing. Rather, we're left with the feeling that we're completely out of place and unwelcome.

Always top-notch... valid until today, September 30, 2025. We had breakfast at the Goldalm again today with four people. Incidentally, for at least the 30th time. And frustration on all levels. The breakfast buffet has become a bit cheaper, but there's no coffee, tea, milk, etc. Even one drink is over the old price. If, like us (two people), you get two latte macchiatos each and the buffet, the total is €50 with tip. Additionally, the buffet has gotten considerably worse; even Kaiserschmarrn doesn't help. A price increase is necessary, no question, but so drastic and with a worse buffet??? For us, today was definitely the last time. A shame.

You reserve for 10. Breakfast is very limited, but if more than 5 people serve themselves, it quickly runs out. When you ask, you get rude replies like, "You could always leave the restaurant." They didn't want to escalate the situation. We will actively advise everyone not to go there.

Great breakfast buffet! Not exactly cheap, but they offer a fantastic selection. The homemade little jars are particularly noteworthy. Guacamole, cream cheese, salads, and fish. Very tasty. Beautifully presented in small rolls. Refills are prompt. Extensive selection, something for everyone. On Sundays, they serve Prosecco, so glasses are a bit limited. The coffee/tea and juice selection is almost overwhelming. Great pork knuckle, good burgers, and delicious schnapps. The staff is quick and very friendly. Unfortunately, the tables are very close together at the front, and the seating isn't particularly comfortable. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is very inviting.

We ate here two nights in a row. We enjoyed it so much the first time that we went back the next. Great beer too ;-)

Very nice ambiance and pleasant lighting inside. Unfortunately, the music in the restaurant breaks this atmosphere and becomes noise. It was a bit chilly with the door open. For a hefty €25 with some (tasty) roast potatoes, a small side salad, and creamed mushrooms, I expected my turkey steak to be larger and juicier. Overall, a matter of taste—a good spot for a convivial evening, but a bit overpriced.

A very nice restaurant in downtown Wuppertal. The menu is quite large and extensive, so there's something for everyone. Five of us adults were there for dinner at 6:30 p.m., and we were all largely satisfied with our food. Only the portion of Kasspatzen (cheese spaetzle) with fried onions for €14.90 was a bit "manageable," not to say meager, and only lukewarm. The service was also a bit slow at first, but improved somewhat later. All in all, a restaurant where we certainly won't be returning for the last time.

If you like pancakes or similar, please ask; I hadn't seen any. Butter and other items were available, as well as vegetables and fruit. What pleased me most and convinced me to give the breakfast buffet food 5 stars is that the drinks are included in the price 😍👌. Cold cocoa, standard juices and water, and various types of milk. I can recommend this breakfast buffet to people who enjoy a hearty breakfast and are happy with a variety of rolls and one type of bread; I hadn't seen any other. Service was friendly, and the drinks were quickly refilled. When the waiters saw that you were helping yourself to drinks at the buffet, they didn't ask for more. We went there for breakfast. The selection was good. The rooms were clean. The service was very friendly. It's very cozy and not as crowded as some competitors. This meant it didn't have that typical cafeteria feel, but was truly relaxed and pleasant.

The Goldalm is conveniently located in the middle of the shopping area of ​​Wuppertal. Very cozy restaurant and in terms of interior it is modernly decorated in natural warm colors with music in the background. You can easily stay here longer, even outside on the terrace, which we did now with these warm days. The staff was super friendly. The waitress even pointed out to us that you could also get the menu in English by means of the QR code. The Nürnberger Rostbratwürst as well as the Haxenpfanne were really super tasty. I would say if you are staying in Wuppertal, this restaurant is definitely recommended!

We went to the restaurant with a group of around 30 people. The table we had reserved half an hour before couldn't be made available to us. We then waited outside and when we entered the restaurant it was only moderately busy. The separate area had not been specially prepared or set. The selection on the menu, which had been slimmed down especially for us as a group, was OK. However, it was not possible to order a coffee and cake outside of this menu. The portions of the burger and salad, for example, were small. The service was friendly and attentive. My conclusion is that hospitality looks different. I wouldn't leave a group waiting outside for half an hour. Furthermore, I don't understand why I can't serve coffee and cake to a group. This was advertised on the menu from 2 p.m. onwards. It is not and will not be my restaurant. The offerings were standard and not worthy of praise.

Nice restaurant in the city of Wuppertal. There are also vegan and vegetarian alternatives here. Not a full score because, despite having a reservation, you only have the table for about 2 hours, which is definitely too short if you're meeting friends there. I tried the vegan Maultaschen and the fries. Fries and sauce were great, the Maultaschen tasted a bit too bland for me personally, but that's purely a matter of taste, but the accompanying salad was good, but the ambience was right.

Dinner on a Friday at 8pm Let's start positively: welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. End. Negative: I would have preferred to make the knuckle pan myself at home! Soft fried potatoes (were they fried at all or just warmed up?), and neither the pieces of meat nor the sauerkraut tasted fresh in any way. Everything gave the impression of a system catering establishment in which pre-prepared food in plastic bags is only warmed up and served on site. Sad! The food is not worth the prices! And if the Goldalm would like to show me that they are supposedly doing things better, they are welcome to invite me or send me a voucher. Let's see how they deal with disappointed guests here!

We were there for brunch on Easter Monday and as expected it was very busy. The buffet was well stocked. With sweet rolls, jams, spreads, Kaiserschmarrn and dessert over savory toppings such as cold cuts, cheese, salads, fried potatoes, white sausage, egg dishes and much more. Coffee, tea, water, juices and Prosecco were also available. What more could you want to enjoy a cozy morning get-together. The ambience gets a star deducted because I looked out the window on the side street at parked two-wheelers, people rummaging through garbage containers and walls decorated with pigeon droppings.

Solid place for a social dinner for business or with family: healthy food, traditional menu, quiet atmosphere. Particularly comfortable for 'over 50'.

Ich persönlich finde es sehr gut, dass im Preis Orangensaft, Multivitaminsaft, stilles und sprudelndes Mineralwasser, kalter Kakao, Filterkaffee und Tee mit inbegriffen sind. Dafür ist der Preis (Erfahrungswert von samstags) total gut. Das Personal haben wir als sehr freundlich erlebt. Es empfiehlt sich vorher einen Platz per Open table oder telefonisch zu reservieren. Sehr schickes Ambiente mit Wohlfühlcharakter.

Das Personal war wie immrr sehr nett und freundlich. Leider wurden die Teller beim Frühstücksbuffet nur auf Bitten abgeräumt und nicht automatisch. Im Restaurant waren mehr Tische aufgestellt, als sonst. Wenn man zum Buffet wolte, musste man immer an besetzen Tischen vorbei. Ea gab keinen anderen Weg. So "störrte" man immer die Leute beim Essen.

Essen und Getränke deutlich zu teuer. Schönes Ambiente aber leider sehr unaufmerksames Personal. Wir mußten im Laufe unseres Besuches 5 x zur Theke gehen, obwohl das Restaurant mit 4 belegten Tischen praktisch leer war. Wir werden deshalb nicht wieder kommen und können auch keine Empfehlungen aussprechen.

Food quality catastrophic. Pork fillets hard as a rock (thank God they were so small that it wasn't a shame to throw them away). Red cabbage and dumplings from the discount store without any taste. Pork knuckle worked, but fried potatoes - black fried, sauerkraut - actually sour, inedible. The condition did make an effort and asked why we didn’t complain…. A complaint wouldn't have been worth it - if you serve food like that... you should get a chef or close the bidet and not call yourself a restaurant. We paid - but will never eat there again.
