The staff tried hard and was friendly. The food was ok (no more but no less) a bit overpriced. Very long waiting time 30 minutes before eating and 20 minutes to pay.

Yes, everything you need is there for breakfast. Even if it's full. Is it pleasant to have a conversation? Service friendly.

Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig. Ich persönlich finde es sehr gut, dass im Preis Orangensaft, Multivitaminsaft, stilles und sprudelndes Mineralwasser, kalter Kakao, Filterkaffee und Tee mit inbegriffen sind. Dafür ist der Preis (Erfahrungswert von samstags) total gut. Das Personal haben wir als sehr freundlich erlebt. Es empfiehlt sich vorher einen Platz per Open table oder telefonisch zu reservieren. Sehr schickes Ambiente mit Wohlfühlcharakter.

Das Personal war wie immrr sehr nett und freundlich. Leider wurden die Teller beim Frühstücksbuffet nur auf Bitten abgeräumt und nicht automatisch. Im Restaurant waren mehr Tische aufgestellt, als sonst. Wenn man zum Buffet wolte, musste man immer an besetzen Tischen vorbei. Ea gab keinen anderen Weg. So "störrte" man immer die Leute beim Essen.

Wir mußten im Laufe unseres Besuches 5 x zur Theke gehen, obwohl das Restaurant mit 4 belegten Tischen praktisch leer war. Wir werden deshalb nicht wieder kommen und können auch keine Empfehlungen aussprechen.

Food quality catastrophic. Pork fillets hard as a rock (thank God they were so small that it wasn't a shame to throw them away). Red cabbage and dumplings from the discount store without any taste. Pork knuckle worked, but fried potatoes - black fried, sauerkraut - actually sour, inedible. The condition did make an effort and asked why we didn’t complain…. A complaint wouldn't have been worth it - if you serve food like that... you should get a chef or close the bidet and not call yourself a restaurant. We paid - but will never eat there again.

We went for the breakfast buffet on Fridays. The atmosphere was very nice, but the tables were far too close together. The service was friendly. We were very disappointed with the buffet. Cold scrambled eggs, 4 types of sausage to choose from, cheese only the simplest selection and nasty, cheap-looking jam. No fruit salad, no tomato/mozzarella or anything that would justify a price of 16.90 euros. There are approximately 100ml glasses for the juice so that you don't take too much. Even when asked, there was nothing bigger. I would describe the breakfast as very minimalistic and therefore way too expensive for the price. We're used to much better things from the surrounding areas. Even if I have to pay extra for my (yummy) coffee there.

Nice atmosphere. Waiter very friendly. Good selection on the lunch menu. We had to wait a long time for our bill because it was supposedly very full. When I looked around, I couldn't confirm this.

Got a chicken burger with fries. The quality of the chicken burger was below standard. Also my food was cold. It had clearly been sitting out before it was served to me. One does not expect frozen quality food when paying nearly 20€ for a chicken burger.

We were there during the week to have breakfast at the breakfast buffet. The food was okay, we were all full, but at times of storm and stress one or two things at the buffet ran out and we had to wait for more to be refilled. But it wasn't a problem for us. The warm dishes (scrambled eggs, Nuremberger, meatballs) were also only lukewarm. What bothered us most was the lack of space at the breakfast buffet. That wasn't possible when the store was busy. The paths to the buffet are also extremely narrow. Next time we would prefer to go to other places in the area for breakfast. Too bad.

Wir waren zum Frühstück dort allen eigentlich ein schönes Buffet angepriesen wurde. Wenn man vegan ist, sollte man sich ans Personal wenden. Leider war kein veganer Joghurt oder sonstige Alternativen. Da was ich an sich auch nicht schlimm finde man sollte es nur nicht anpreisen, aber ansonsten wirklich ein schönes, reichhaltiges Buffet Brötchen warm frisch knackig insgesamt ein sehr schöner Start. In den Tag kann ich nur weiter empfehlen

Ein sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet!! Sehr gute Auswahl! Es wird regelmäßig alles aufgefüllt!! Nettes Personal und Hilfsbereit. Gutes Preis-Leistung Verhältnis. Einzige kleine Manko ist beim Buffet der schmale Gang zwischen der Brötchen und Brottheke und dem Tresen. Aber alle Gäste haben sich arrangiert, so daß jeder durchkam!! Waren jetzt zum 4 x zum Buffet da. Ich kann es empfehlen.

Unfortunately bad and overpriced: cheese spaetzle with a side salad for 17-18 euros. Instead there was industrial spaetzle from the bag and some cheap cheese mixture (something like mozzarella/Gouda/etc.). Sorry, but aren't you a little embarrassed yourself?

Hello everyone! The food was very tasty and was served very quickly despite some special requests. The menu is very extensive and there is a lot to choose from. The staff was consistently very friendly and accommodating. A really great place!

Das Frühstücksbuffet war fantastisch. Die Körnerbrötchen, das Mett, der Lachs, das Rührei, das frische Obst, die verschiedenen Säfte, der frische Kaffee zum selbwr zapfen waren wirklich einfach nur lecker. Ich war mit meiner Frau und meinen 2 Söhnen (2,3) dort und alle haben reichlich Leckereien gefunden und waren zufrieden. Die Jungs haben die Crossaints und die kleinen Gläser mit dem Wackelpudding mit Vanillesoße gefeiert. Es wird immer rechtzeitig nachgefüllt am Buffet. Der Preis ist teuer aber der Qualität angemessen. Immer wieder gerne.

Sehr nettes Personal, beim Tisch am Fenster kam leider der Zigarettengeruch von draußen rein. Die Preise waren verhältnismäßig hoch, das Essen lecker aber leider nicht warm genug.

There were four of us and we ordered the hip gold platter for 4 people. It was very good and plentiful and everyone enjoyed it. The staff was extremely friendly and the bill was reasonable.

Service at best 0 stars. Waiters hardly care at all. By the time they notice you, it's already been 30 minutes, even though many of them are just standing around idle in the restaurant. You have to ask for something twice. And when you ask for something, you get an annoyed face. Very unfriendly and unprofessional.

Great service, very nice and numerous types of beer. Even the wine is delicious. The food is in good portions and always tasty. We'll be back!!!

I can't understand the bad reviews at all! At first I was really put off going here because I read so many negative comments. Luckily, I decided to create my own picture - and what can I say: I'm thrilled! The selection is great, the food is fresh and tastes simply great. The atmosphere is pleasant and the employees are super friendly and attentive. I felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back. My tip: Don't let the negative reviews influence you, just try it out for yourself - it's absolutely worth it!

Het was helemaal vol of gereserveerd en toch vonden ze een tafel voor vier. Het zou even duren maar drankjes kwamen snel en het diner kwam ook verrassend vlot. Heerlijke gerechten en ook de desserts waren im de lippen bij af te likken. Lof voor de bediening in Goldalm.

Tolles Ambiente, die Kellnerin war nicht wirklich unfreundlich, aber weit entfernt von nett und empathisch. Das Essen war lecker und sehr reichlich. Leider war es nicht möglich, eine kleine Portion zu bestellen, wenn man über 140 cm groß ist, so dass mehr als die Hälfte zurück ging. Nicht besonders nachhaltig und kundenfreundlich.

As I sipped on a cold beer from Munich, I savoured the rich flavours of authentic Bavarian dishes, like the massive Schweinshaxe. The crispy crust and the yummy meat make this dish unique. We had breakfast there today. It was full and unfortunately there is only one chef there who unfortunately wasn't able to refill the bacon and scrambled eggs in a timely manner. Isn't worth the money. It's a shame, because the atmosphere is very nice.

If we could rate a restaurant without stars, it would be this one. We three friends ordered three small beers and two glasses of regular tap water and paid the bill for 20 euros. When we asked why the bill was so high he said that the water he brought us in a glass cost 3e! Embarrassing 👎🏻

Beer was good but it was 15 minutes from when we sat down until our beers arrived, service needs some work.

He must have done a pretty good job hiring a service person :) When the order was accepted, the reluctant gentleman sat down with his bottom on the table, very suggestively 👍 Well, the scenario then continued with the endlessly long order taking process. I asked in a friendly and nice way 3 times for mayonnaise, which is normal when I have 3 fries!? Then our food came... Mayo came once... While I wanted to ask the waiter again for more mayo... he left in a relaxed manner... This waiter is so arrogant!!! Then he came back and said to me in an arrogance “I heard something about ketchup”… And throw the things on the table! When I asked him a second time whether I was finally getting my mayo, he seriously dared to say, “You’ll say that soon, yes???” Such disgusting behavior, such arrogant arrogance, has no place in public! Never again Goldalm! The whole evening was messed up!! I'm just going to Düsseldorf! Poor!

The food is very fresh and there is a large selection. The drinks are really tasty & very refreshing, super chilled.. the service was also very good. Very attentive and accommodating & really friendly. I can recommend the Goldalm with a clear conscience. The table that was ordered on Saturday at 5 p.m. could easily be moved outside. Onion roast, Goldalmpfanne, pineapple spritzer and non-alcoholic wheat were very good. Portions a bit small, unfortunately the dishes were no longer hot when they arrived, but the meat was of good quality and tasty. The service, which was exclusively young, was unfortunately slow, with only one person on the road until around 6 p.m. And although we are not bourgeois, but were born in the 60s, we find it strange to be ignored by staff who are more than half our age :-) Toilets in the basement were great! Recommended!!

Habe ich mir eindeutig mehr von versprochen. Das Lokal selbst sehr schön und geschmackvoll. Das Essen hingegen war kalt und dem Preis nicht entsprechend. Die Bedienung war freundlich aber nicht wirklich aufmerksam und eher lustlos. Ein zweiter Besuch kommt wohl eher nicht in Frage.

Wir waren zum Sonntags-Brunch. Es war sehr lecker, sehr reichhaltig und alles frisch! Hat uns sehr gut gefallen, jederzeit wieder :-) Auch Hunde sind übrigens willkommen!!!

Even if I understand that a restaurant has operating costs such as rent, staff and electricity and that the increased VAT plays a role, it is incomprehensible to me to charge 3 euros or more for an espresso. From my own experience in the catering industry, where I paid 38,000 DM for a portafilter machine decades ago (that would be well over 20,000 euros today, adjusted for inflation), you can see that such machines are now available for a fraction of the price. In addition, a kilo of espresso beans costs on average around 16 euros, which at 7-8 grams per cup corresponds to a production price of around 13 cents. Although the cost of machines and beans has fallen, such prices are charged for an espresso. Therefore, I cannot take a restaurant that charges 3 euros or more for a simple espresso seriously and - unfortunately - I will not visit it again. Independently of: Enjoy your meal. Friendly service. Pleasant atmosphere.

I think the shop is very nice, but paying 9 euros for the chocolate dream and getting a mini chocolate muffin that is smaller than a round cookie 🍪 is really shameful. Really very shocking and bold.

Went here with our family for a late lunch. Conveniently, there is a lunch menu that is valid until 5 p.m. We had the currywurst and the tarte flambée. There was also homemade iced tea. The food was excellent and the service was also very good and friendly. We sat outside. You're sitting in a not so nice pedestrian zone in the city center, but the outside area of ​​the restaurant is so well decorated that it's a nice atmosphere. The seating is a bit uncomfortable because the seat and table heights are unfavorably matched. For us, the Goldalm is a real insider tip in downtown Wuppertal. We cannot understand the existing bad reviews. Luckily we didn't let that stop us. If we are in Wuppertal again, we will definitely like to stop here again.

We spontaneously decided to have breakfast here on a Saturday morning after strolling through the city for a while and looking for a nice place. We received an extremely friendly welcome. The outside area looked inviting. The interior itself was beautifully decorated, warm colors, large dining room, but also small corners where you could sit down comfortably. At first we weren't sure whether we should stay, but we were given the time to look at the buffet to decide whether it was something for us. We opted for the breakfast buffet, which costs around €18.90 per person. Filter coffee and various juices are included here. Other coffee specialties available for an additional charge. The buffet itself had a nice selection and left nothing to be desired. There were various bread specialties, sweet pastries and various yoghurts as well as fresh fruit. There was a nice selection of sausages, cheese and small desserts. Jam, sweet spreads as well as muesli and milk alternatives were also available. The coffee also tastes good. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were treated appropriately and made us feel comfortable at all times. Even the toilets were a visual experience.

Wie immer hervorragend. Sonst bin ich immer unter der Woche da. Da ist das Angebot schon reichlich. Am Sonntag ist von allem guten mehr als genug vorhanden. Auswahl gross, Qualität sehr gut. Alles frisch zubereitet. Für jeden ist etwas dabei. Service 1 a. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend.

Both women had iced tea (6.90 euros), I had a coffee that the waitress had forgotten... All in all 72 euros 🙄 . Portions small to okay, prices are exorbitant. The ambience and location are nice to excellent.

When asked, the service asked why it was charged in full or whether there was only a curt “yes” as an answer. No apology, no compensation. A pity. This shouldn't happen with the prices.

Allgemein ein netter Abend essen soweit alles ok einzige ,was man ändern könnte die Plazierung der Tische könnte man bei 20 Personen als u Form stellen damit man sich mit allen unterhalten kann was bei der langen Reihe nicht möglich war
