The food was ok, but unfortunately they forgot our order so we waited two hours for the food.

We were really annoyed by this 'restaurant' visit! There's a sign at the campsite reception asking for reservations – so we went to the reception, waited for a while, and were told that you had to make a reservation at the beer tent. We queued for over 20 minutes to reserve a table! The restaurant opens at 5:30 p.m. – we could only make a reservation at 6:15 p.m. (how do you arrive at that time??? The first round isn't even finished by then). Well, we went to the restaurant at 6:15 p.m. We weren't exactly greeted in a friendly manner and were then seated inside – but when we asked, we were 'allowed' to sit outside, 'thank you.' The female server was very rude, so we should have just walked away. You really feel like you're just giving the staff a chore, as if you had to apologize for stopping by – impossible. We ordered two different dishes, one of which we had to complain about (animal filling). The plate was returned, and the kitchen then brought a (hopefully) new plate with a half portion, and of course, there was not a word of apology. Of course, you assume that the complained-about food, or at least the drinks, won't be charged, but no, the full bill! To avoid further annoyance, we left it at that and paid. Not a word of apology or anything like that even when paying. We would definitely not go there again; a completely new management team would have to take over. We can't recommend this place under these circumstances. Such behavior towards paying 'guests' is truly disgraceful.

I was so angry that I actually wanted to write a review right away, but then decided it would be better to sleep on it. I'm still as appalled today as I was yesterday – by such impudence and complete lack of professionalism. I ordered the Brewmaster Steak, it looked really good: two small steaks, nicely presented with sauce, fried potatoes, and a bit of salad. My wife had the Pork Fillet Italia (which was okay). Unfortunately, there was a fat green metallic bow tie between my steaks, which I only noticed after I'd already eaten some of one of the steaks. The plate went back, and I got a new one, but now there was only half left on the plate and far less than what was taken away... I'd 'already eaten something,' the waitress told me... the boss thought that was justified. They took the entire amount, and there was no apology. 'I should deal with the boss myself' sounded more like an even more serious argument. We're on vacation, and we were even less in the mood for that. I think he should be ashamed of himself. The waitress, who wasn't exactly blessed with friendliness herself, didn't exactly help to improve the situation. We only felt sorry for the young and friendly waiter who was also at our table at one point. We will definitely not be visiting this restaurant again. Perhaps we really should have believed the other reviews. With a rating of 3.4, this otherwise lovely restaurant is already ranked among the lowest in Limburg.

We had a table reservation for 14 people at 5:30 p.m. yesterday. Right before the meeting, four people canceled. After we told a waitress that we didn't need that many seats, she confronted us and said it was annoying. They had already canceled 40 other guests because two tables had been reserved for us. In the same breath, she said the restaurant was completely booked and tour buses were still expected. How nice! Walk-ins would surely have filled the missing four seats in no time. She wanted to discuss with the manager how to proceed with our situation. The consequence was that we had to pay a cancellation fee of €20 for each person missing! We refused, paid for our drinks, and left. There's no mention of these terms in the terms and conditions on the website. Ten guests lost, none of us will be back, incomprehensible.

We were very disappointed. The service was overwhelmed, guests complained about understaffing and a lack of staff. The food and ambiance were not convincing; we felt more like a nuisance than welcome.

A superb restaurant with a wonderful alpine atmosphere, the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was incredibly delicious and generously portioned. We'd love to come back!

The salads were far too expensive for the small portions. Unfortunately, the manager was very rude, and the service was also poor. The atmosphere was okay, but not recommended for value for money.

We've been there several times, but today the food wasn't quite as great. The meat was great, but the fries were hard and cold. The service, and only the person serving the food, was completely overwhelmed and reflected this. Friendly, yes, but very disorganized. It wasn't actually that busy; there were just a lot of customers outside, and there was enough service. We sat inside and were a little overlooked. We'll chalk it up to the hot weather. But we'll be back. We've always been satisfied.

We ate here twice while we were camping in our motorhome. Both times, the food was delicious 😋, and we received good service. We can definitely recommend a visit to Goddy's Alm to anyone. The price/performance ratio is also good. We'll definitely be back!

Today, we were here with friends for the third time at the campsite, which is beautifully situated near Limburg's old town. The toilets and showers are new and clean. The new restrooms, including a restaurant and shop, are still under construction and will be ready for next season. The food in the alpine hut was excellent and served quickly by friendly staff. We look forward to seeing you again next season. The Sejerlänner on tour.

We had a spontaneous meal there today. Great service, great ambience, great food. I can't confirm the bad reviews.

We spontaneously went to the Alm on Sunday, We were there at 8:10 p.m., there were only a few tables occupied, shortly afterwards we ordered drinks, as we were about to open the menu, another colleague came and said whether we hadn't been told that there was no more food. We were really speechless that a restaurant that hadn't just been open since yesterday and was open from Thursday to Sunday had nothing to eat two hours after opening. Very poor performance. It also gave the impression that she wanted to cash in people quickly so that the shop could be closed at 8:30 p.m., even though it was open until 10 p.m.

Can't understand the complaining. If the restaurant is full during peak season, I understand and am happy to wait a few minutes. We were there for dinner, had made a reservation and were very satisfied with the food and the service. We'll be back!

Everything went very well for us! Friendly and competent staff, hardly any waiting time despite the busy restaurant. The Tyrolean schnitzel was of very good quality. The plum schnapps was too warm, but that's okay. Not ideal: the exit of the hut is frequented by smokers, these gatherings reduce the atmosphere at the tables there.

Place to be after an epic canoe trip on the Lahn. The freshly tapped Starenberger Helles was able to bring our battered bodies back to life. It was also served by an extremely competent and friendly waitress. If you are in Limburg, a stop here is mandatory. Gladly again and again

So I don't understand these negative reviews at all, we had dinner there today... and what can I say, everything was great!! And the staff is extremely friendly! We'll be here at the camping resort for a few more days and will definitely be there again as guests!👍👍

Wrong choice when eating, Italian pork fillet, a complete disaster, 2 fatty and limp rösti, each with a 1 cm thick slice of fillet, chewed through, difficult to chew, the whole thing gratinated with a greasy cheese bacon special sauce. Soft and mushy Mediterranean vegetables drowned in oil. No salad. Everything seemed like it had been warmed up for the third time. The whole thing for €19.90 is surprising.

If you're hungry you should go somewhere else. The organization is a disaster in my opinion. It took about 35 minutes for someone to come and take the food order. Then another almost 3/4 hour until the food came. Then another 1/2 hour until I was allowed to pay. Every time I turned to the one person who was responsible for taking in the food and also paying for it, I was told it wasn't my turn yet. Too few staff in the service and probably also in the kitchen. There are different opinions about the organization when ordering as to whether this is the best system. If we had been told at the beginning that it could take over an hour for the food to arrive, I would have gone somewhere else. Only after other guests complained about the waiting times are the new guests informed about the long waiting times for food. I will only visit the restaurant if I want something to drink; I prefer to go into town to eat.

Delicious food and friendly service. But €20 for a small pork schnitzel is really steep. Waiting time of almost an hour. Reserved seats remained unoccupied even after payment. Everything seemed a bit haphazard to me.

Unfortunately, we were very rudely turned away at the restaurant and left standing in the rain (we even asked twice and said we had no problem waiting), even though we arrived at the campsite wet and hungry after a long bike ride and thunderstorm. We can understand that there have already been many orders, but firstly it is an organizational problem and secondly this can be communicated in a more friendly way.

People, leave the church in the village. You are on vacation at a campsite. The current kitchen is, as you know - or if you can't see - a temporary solution. You might think this is about seconds during rush hour. If you take all the temporary restrictions into account and have a little bit of understanding, you can eat very well and can admire the dishes Goddy still conjures up. Unfortunately, the Alm also has problems finding enough staff. I'm here to relax, I don't mind if it takes a little longer. Maybe scale down the me, me, me mentality a bit.

Extremely friendly service, quick and uncomplicated. Italian pork fillet. Two slices of pink fried fillet on rösti, with an extremely well-made and plentiful salad and lots of very tasty grilled vegetables. Overall a taste experience. There is absolutely no need for huge meat portions. For me it was perfect and much healthier. Lovely again.

Unfortunately I can only give 2 stars here. We were there for dinner and I ordered a Braumeister steak. I was recommended the fried potatoes instead of the fries, but the meal came with fries. My question about the fried potatoes was not answered at all...the Braumeister Steak should also be called the Apprentice Steak, two sad pieces of meat in a sauce that tastes like nothing. We also had the pork fillet Italiano, which should be described as a hash brown with small pieces of pork loin. But the fries were at least ok and the salad garnish on the plates was by far the best. You should probably just eat a salad there if you don't prefer to grill yourself or walk into town. By the way, a “portion” of ketchup or mayo for one euro is a tough number given the size you get.

We were in Goddy's Alm in May 2024 and absolutely loved it. The team is professional and very friendly. There was a lot going on and no one was out of sorts. The food is freshly prepared, delicious and the price-performance ratio is unbeatable. We are already looking forward to the next time.

Unfortunately we didn't get to eat. All I can say is service desert at its best. As a family with a small child, we were told (at 6:10 p.m.) that all tables/groups with a reservation would first receive their food and only then would we including the child, waiting time approx. 1.5 hours. I have to say that all the other tables were occupied by people over 60 who don't go to bed at around 8 p.m. So basically not recommended for families! GOOD SUCCESS WITH THE BUSINESS MODEL AND THE STAFF. Afterwards we went to the new mill in Diez, the complete opposite. Children's playground on site and our youngest got his food first.

Beautiful campsite, catering creates self-sufficiency. We wanted something to drink and then something to eat. The outside area is 50% occupied, there is hardly anything going on inside. The waitress who also saw us walked past us twice and without a greeting... A short "I'll be right back" would have been enough, we both come from the restaurant, that's possible and sufficient! After about 10 minutes we left and then we ate and drank at our place 🤷‍♂️ So the catering industry is ruining itself with listless staff. What a shame!

The location is very nice and the staff also tries hard. Unfortunately, vegetarians are not catered for at all. Salad or baked potatoes were the only alternatives. Unfortunately, the request as to whether you could simply get the fries with sauce (just without the schnitzel) was not answered.

We were very disappointed with the service concept and the food presented to us. Only certain waiters could take drink orders, others could only take food and others referred to the other waitresses. We had to wait 55 minutes for our first drink and only then could we order the food. The food was just like a bad snack bar, but much more expensive. Total failure!!!!

Absolute disaster! Three waitresses were running around haphazardly, even though the store was only 30% full, I was finally able to order after half an hour. Unfortunately, with this waitress you could only order drinks; she referred to her colleagues to order the food. After 50 minutes I finally had my beer and was able to place the food order. And then the misery began... No one had ever served me something so horrible. I was actually only able to eat it once and then it was over. Constructive criticism of the food and the chaos in service was of course rejected and talked about nicely. The campsite is very nice, everything is perfect and the people are friendly. The restaurant doesn't work at all!!!!!!

On Friday nights, they raise hell with disco tunes in the “Alm” to the delight of everyone standing in the RV parking area right next door! Sleep is out of the question here, absolutely reckless behavior!!! Nowhere is there any indication that you are so inconvenienced by the disco on the parking space! Thank you very much for that!

2023.11: We were guests here with 9 people and were not disappointed. A very nice, friendly and attentive waitress welcomed us warmly and served us well throughout the evening (THANK YOU!). We had various schnitzels, lumberjack steak, vegetables. The portions were really huge, fresh and super tasty!! Tip: if the plates were preheated for large portions, the food would stay warm longer! The Starnberg beer and wines also tasted delicious. In terms of ambience, the “Alm” is really well furnished and cozy. We would love to come back to enjoy the food and drink, ambience and hospitality. The price/performance ratio is reasonably good!

Delicious food (we had pork knuckles from the daily menu), Starnberger beer even though Andechser was offered on the menu. Friendly, attentive and prompt service. Great alpine hut ambience, you have to look twice to see that it's a tent. It was rightly well attended!

We were pleasantly surprised! All tables occupied - service, food, the lovingly decorated dining room, everything was perfect! The grilled vegetables on rösti with cheese gratin... simply delicious! And the price is right!

Rustic, beautifully designed Bavarian restaurant with Oktoberfest flair. There is light beer on tap and typical Bavarian cuisine. The staff was very nice and attentive. The portions were good and the knuckles were huge. Unfortunately the sauerkraut wasn't really warm but overall it was very tasty and the price/performance was also right. We'll definitely be back.

Das Lokal ist ein Zelt mit Holzhütten Optik. Bestuhlung und Dek sind urig. Das Restaurant war ca 60% ausgelegt. Leider hat dass Lokal nur von Donnerstag bis Samstag offen, laut dem Campingplatz liegt es am Personalmängel. Essen war zügig da. Wir hatten zwei verschiedene Schnitzel "Alm- und Tirolerschnitzel", beide sehr lecker. Meckern auf hohen Niveau, Pommes zu knusprig- Bratkartoffeln zu klein gewürfelt 🤷‍♂️.

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht, überforderte Bedienung, klagt bei Gast über Unterbesetzung und Personalmangel, Essen und Ambiente haben nicht überzeugt, man fühlt sich eher lästig statt willkommen. Schade, man könnte mit der richtigen Organisation sicher viel aus dem Am biente machen. Wir kommen nicht mehr.

An einem optisch wunderschönen Ort hatten wir uns mit geschätzt 60 Personen zum Klassentreffen angemeldet. Bereits im Vorfeld wurde um die Speisenauswahl gebeten , damit man sich organisieren könne. Ab 19:30 wollte man damit beginnen. Die große Mehrheit der Gäste war um 18:30 vor Ort. Es wurden Bierdeckel mit Nummern verteilt und die Namen dazu in einer Liste notiert. Würde man den Deckel verlieren, koste das 100€! Toll das sah nach einem Plan aus. Man sollte die Getränke bei einer Bedienung bestellen. Die wiederum schickte uns zu einer Biergoldel, dort meinte man wir sollten doch unten bestellen. Immerhin wir bekamen Durstlöscher gegen Bares, - irgendwann. Die Leute waren überfordert. Das erste Essen kam dann nach 20:00 Uhr, leider nur scheibchenweise. Das letzte Essen kam um 21:15 und das auch nur auf Reklamation. 2 vegetarische Speisen sollten es sein, auch damit war man überfordert. Eine Gästin bekam hakt Garnichts! Gut, das hält schlank, aber kostete Weinumsatz denn so mit ohne Essen Alkohol, das ist nich so gesund. Um 22:00 schließlich sollten wir alle bezahlen, Deckel abgeben, zahlen, Name wurde aus der Liste gestrichen , - theoretisch. Nach 15 Minuten kam eine Mitarbeiterin an unseren Tisch und meinte, nan habe doch zwei Bier gebracht und diese NICHT auf den Deckel geschrieben, - man hatte! Später turnten die beiden Rechenakrobaten noch eine ganze Weile zwischen uns Gästen herum und versuchten angeblich ausgeteilte Speisen und Getränke zu kassieren. Das Essen selbst, - über Geschmack lässt sich halt streiten -, war schmackhaft, aber leider, zumindest die Pommes trocken. Fazit: Für Feiern mit vielen Gästen nicht geeignet. Wenn ich dort zufällig vorbei käme und sähe mehr als 20 Gäste würde ich weiterziehen. Bestimmt sind jedoch just an dem Tag der Hilfskoch krank geworden und 2 Bedienungen haben sich um den armen Menschen gekümmert und haben deswegen auch gefehlt. Guten Appetit wünscht Det

Urige Almhütte mit gemütlichem Ambiente! Diese Gastronomie liegt auf dem Campingplatz Gelände, wird aber auch von Nichtcampern besucht, da sich die schöne Location anscheinend herumgesprochen hat! Anscheinend gibt’s gelegentlich Probleme mit dem Personal, aber das ist ja heutzutage wirklich schwierig geworden, sodass häufig junge Aushilfskräfte einspringen, die aber ihre Sache gut machen! Das Essen ist gut und der Preis in der heutigen Zeit angemessen! Man kann auch prima draußen sitzen, man muss es dann halt drinnen abholen!

Wir haben mit 6 Personen draußen gesessen und uns wurde obwohl Selbstbedienung das Essen an den Tisch gebracht! Das Essen an sich war sehr lecker und wir können das Lokal nur weiterempfehlen!

Nettes, uriges, Ambiente. Bürgerliche Küche mit ca. 10 Gerichten. Bedienung war nett und flott. Wir haben 2 verschiedene Schnitzel gegessen, das Fleisch war okay, die Pommes als Beilage leider fast kalt. Geschmacklich fand ich es gut und der Preis angemessen. Man sollte noch daran arbeiten die Gerichte wärmer zu servieren.

Wir sind mit unserem WoMo auf dem Campingplatz und haben Abends in der Alm ein bisschen was getrunken. Das Ambiente hat uns so gut gefallen, das wir für den nächsten Abend zum Essen hingegangen sind. Tolles Essen, toller Service. Wir kommen wieder, na Sylvester...

Sehr schönes Hüttenfeeling jenseits des Mains, die Begrüßung vom Chef am Eingang war sehr aufmerksam, das Essen war vorzüglich, die Bedienung äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Insgesamt behalten wir dieses Restaurant sehr positiv in Erinnerung und werden wiederkommen.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich schön, man bekommt richtiges Almfeeling, dafür war das Essen leider nicht zufriedenstellend. Bestellt wurden 4 Gerichte. Die Haxn waren wahnsinnig trocken und diese sowie die Beilagen waren kalt. Das Rumpsteak wurde dem Preis definitiv nicht gerecht. Qualitativ wirklich nicht gut und die Beilagen waren auch grenzwertig warm. Das Rumpsteak ging erst zurück (war fast roh) und kam dann zwei mal gestorben zurück. Das Schnitzel war okay, allerdings sehr käselastig. Das Fleisch an sich war zart. Die Beilagen (Pommes) lecker. Käsespätzle waren gut. Wir wollten noch Nachtisch bestellen, es gibt zwei zur Auswahl, leider war unser Wunsch-Dessert aus (freitags um 18:00). Leider war das unser Erster und auch Letzter Besuch, für die Preise bekommen wir in anderen Restaurants bessere Gerichte. Zwei Sterne für Ambiente und Käsespätzle…

Lieber Goddy, vergiss den einen komischen Vogel mit seiner unverschämten Bewertung. Schau dir die Bewertungen an, die er sonst so vergibt. Offensichtlich hat er bei jedem etwas auszusetzen und hofft dadurch was rausschlagen zu können. Wenn's klappt, gibts me gute Bewertung. So etwas hast DU, alter Hase, nicht nötig! Wir waren zum ersten Mal im neuen Domizil und sind - weiterhin - begeistert. Die neue Location selbst tipptopp und sehr gemütlich! Und dein Essen in gewohnter Weise hervorragend und super lecker. Und, super heiß! Aufgrund dieses erneuten Essens-Erlebnises bei Goddy habe ich mich gestern spontan umentschieden, meine Geburtstagsfeier im kleinen Kreis in Goddy's Alm am schönsten Tisch im Lokal zu feiern!!! DANKE und weiter so!!!

Hallo super leckeres schnitzel mit Pommes und beides heiss und frisch!...super nette Bedienung...geht einfach mal hin....die Portion war auch groß genug....macht weiter so...grüße

Schnitzel war gut und lecker aber leider genauso wie die Pommes eher lau warm. Liegt wahrscheinlich daran das auf kalten Tellern serviert wird 🧐. Der Salat mit Folienkartoffel war schwach, da der Salat (Bohnen, Farmersalat) zum Teil aus dem Glas kam, zumindest hat er so geschmeckt? Der grüne Salat hingegen war lecker…Man merkt das alles noch neu ist, Tischnummern nicht bekannt dadurch viel Lauferei für den Service - Leider spiegelt sich dass dann auch in der Freundlichkeit beim Servicepersonal wieder!!!
