Goa Indisches Restaurant Rudolstadt in Rudolstadt

Since the restaurant in Saalfeld is closed today, we stopped here. We'd been here before, and even then, I wasn't impressed with the food. It's been three years, and it was time for a second chance. However, apart from the friendly service, there's nothing special to mention. We sat in the unloved backyard because we wanted to sit outside. The poppadums are way below the competitor in Saalfeld in terms of taste, price, and especially preparation. Here, they're palm-sized and cost €1 each. The dips also need improvement. They taste very artificial, even like "medicine" to the children. The food was okay. The side salad was well-intentioned, but didn't look very appetizing. We didn't eat it either, even though we're mostly fond of vegetables. It's a shame. The prices are too high for this quality. The service was really attentive. Nevertheless, we'd prefer other restaurants.

A lovely Indian restaurant that was worth stopping by for a delicious meal. The restaurant is very modern and clean, and the food is excellent.

We've been ordering from them for years, albeit irregularly. The food has always been very good, with only one exception. The staff are very courteous, and pickups always go smoothly. We've also eaten in several times, and the "odd" atmosphere that's sometimes mentioned in reviews has never bothered us. 😊

Good, authentic Indian restaurant. Large selection of dishes, including vegetarian options. Nice ambiance. I personally find the benches a bit too short and a bit slippery. The food impressed me. Although I'm usually rather critical of Indian food, it's often too "flowery" for me. Delicious food and fair prices. Very tasty. I'd be happy to come back. Highly recommended.

After being rudely treated at another restaurant, we stopped by here spontaneously. The waitress was very friendly and even joined in the fun. We all enjoyed the food; it was plentiful. The ambiance may not be typical for Indian food, but it was cozy. It was a lovely evening.

Unfortunately, I was rather disappointed with our visit. I've been to Indian restaurants a lot lately and was really looking forward to it. I ordered the butter chicken, but they didn't ask me how spicy it should be – I personally associate Indian food with spiciness. So, I was disappointed that the butter chicken wasn't spicy at all, and was relatively sweet and tomatoey. I also ordered a garlic naan, which barely tasted of garlic and was very thick and doughy. The service was good, but I would still travel a little further for an Indian restaurant next time.

The food was very good, as was the service. The ambiance is debatable, but it doesn't have to be. I think the main thing is that it tastes good. Vegetarians and vegans are also welcome.

It's certainly a nice change for many that there is an Indian restaurant in Rudolstadt. Everything we ate here was fine. In other Indian restaurants it was better. There is still room for improvement. Respect for the waiter who was also his own bartender. But he managed to do it all to some extent.

Interior furnishings very little Indian, the beer garden even less and with an unpleasant smell. The Indian atmosphere is missing everywhere. The service was very nice and attentive. The toilets were very clean. The taste of our food was okay, rather lukewarm, which I'm not used to, but it didn't bother me that much. The meat was tender, one piece of meat almost raw. Portions not as big as elsewhere, lots of sauce and less meat. Prices are rather too high, not comparable to other Indian restaurants nearby. If the prices weren't so high it would be O.K. But for such prices you would expect more.

The food was very good, but we had to wait 2 hours for the food!!! When we asked, we were dealt with in a curt manner. The service was hopelessly overwhelmed.

You could eat it, but this Indian is no comparison to others I've tried. I'm a big fan of Indian food and have tried a lot of them. However, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The location is carelessly designed. The juice spritzer had no carbonation whatsoever. The food was particularly disappointing. The salad was just iceberg lettuce with half a tomato and two pieces of cucumber, with a small touch of dressing, which tasted like ready-made dressing to me. All in all, every dish was seasoned too lightly. My butter chicken was more of an over-sweetened tomato sauce. The flesh was barely recognizable as such. The naan was too firm and dry. Only the rice tasted good. I don't think I'll come back to the idea of ​​going there again.

The food tasted good, but there is room for improvement. Two hours of waiting for food is too long. The unfriendly reaction to a friendly question about why it takes so long to prepare doesn't work at all. The atmosphere takes some getting used to and is not very Indian.

Eight people went to Goa for dinner. The food was typically Indian-spicy, warming and consistently delicious, the proportion of sauce was a bit generous at times, the pieces of meat in the duck dish were a bit limited (4 small parts). I can only describe the service as subpar: After we were initially greeted in a friendly manner, the tide turned and we had to wait for food: two hours - with the caveat that two of the group had their soup after an hour and an iceberg-heavy salad a little later with little dressing. In addition, several guests who arrived later were served beforehand. We received no apology, no explanation or perhaps a free drink or a discount for the long wait, not even when we asked politely, just short or curt answers saying that the boss had already gone home. That just doesn't work! Looking at the previous reviews, we must have had a very bad day, with staff replaced and/or overwhelmed. In our opinion, after yesterday's experience, a visit with at least several people is not recommended.

Super tasty (I ate pakoras & vindaloo chicken with naan bread - it was awesome!), super friendly - absolutely recommended!

Ambience good, although not very authentic. I could have imagined a little more decoration. Staff very quick and friendly. The food came quickly, but I found it a bit simple. Nevertheless, we had a nice evening with our group.

My absolute favorite restaurant when it comes to Indian food. Very friendly service, wonderful selection of food and top quality.

Ate there regularly for several years. We recommend.

Absolutely fantastic! We were 4 people with 2 small children. The dwarves could just crawl and were correspondingly lively and a little louder. The waiters were still very polite and no one even raised an eyebrow. There were also 2 child seats without us having to ask. Now to the important thing, the food. Each of us ordered a different dish. Each one was really tasty and everyone was full. The prices are OK. If you like Indian food, you are welcome to stop by here and you will be well served.

It was delicious. I don't know of any better Indian food between Rudolstadt and Leipzig.

Gutes Essen zu moderaten Preisen.

Ein sehr nette alte Gaststätte, die umfunktioniert wurde zum Indischen Restaurant. Das Essen ist sehr lecker 🤤 und ausreichend viel.

Hübsch eingerichtet und sehr lecker. Ich war am Anfang skeptisch weil indisch nicht so meine Richtung ist, aber ich bin komplett begeistert von dem Geschmack dort. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Waren letztlich sehr enttäuscht. Bieten lt. Speisekarte Tandoori Spezialitäten an, obwohl sie diesen Grillofen garnicht haben und somit nicht Original zubereiten können. Es wurde überbacken gereicht und schmeckte nicht annähernd nach dem Originalrezept. Erst nachdem mein Besuch aus Bayern das Originalgericht kannten uns daraufhin die Bedienung Ansprachen gab diese zu, dass sie keine Genehmigung zum Einbau des Ofens haben. Trotzdem berechneten sie den vollen Preis , obwohl wir diese Variante der Darreichungsform nicht essen konnten. Mein Besuch war sehr enttäuscht.

Lecker und freundlicher Service

Wir waren heute mit der Familie im Goa. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Auch die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr hübsch gestaltet. Wir haben die Goa- Platte für 4 Personen bestellt. Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Service war sehr angenehm und vom Fach. Ich finde es immer schön wenn nicht nur das Essen passt sondern auch der SERVICE. Es hat allen Familienmitgliedern geschmeckt. Und wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in diesem Restaurant. Preis Leistung ist top. Das Restaurant ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Sehr leckeres indisches Essen, auf Wunsch dann auch richtig scharf. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir mussten nicht lange auf das Essen warten und fanden es auch sehr schön angerichtet.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Dame, Bedienung war sehr nett und sympathisch, einzig das Ambiente war nicht so toll da gibt es originellere Einrichtungen...

Heute zum 1. Mal dort gewesen, in geselliger Runde. Mango Lassi und Nr. 57 Chicken Shabnam (mit Champis in Curry-Sahne-Soße) war sehr lecker, die nette Frau im Service aufmerksam und freundlich, die Preise sind okay. Gerne wieder :)

Sehr leckeres Essen, freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung, gemütliches Lokal und kurze Wartezeiten — wir waren rundum zufrieden!

Wir waren gestern zum ersten Mal hier. Die Auswahl ist riesig, die Preise sehr angemessen und das Essen sehr lecker, heiß, frisch und schnell auf dem Tisch. Die Bediensteten sind sehr um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht. Das Ambiente passt. Wir kommen gerne wieder, bei dieser freundlichen Bedienung. Danke für diesen schönen Abend.

Wir haben schon sehr viele indische Restaurants getestet und dieses hier, fällt leider durch… Schon das Flair wirkt wenig liebevoll und nur über die originaleinrichtung drübergehangen. Wir wurden nett und freundlich empfangen und bedient. Leider fehlt uns hier auch das Originalflair beim Essen… Der Salat (der zum Essen dazu ist) passt so gar nicht, dann lieber Original Dips und Naanbrot. Das Essen kam so schnell, dass es wahrscheinlich nur erwärmt wird und am Tisch kühlt es sehr sehr schnell aus, auch Reis gab es nur nach, nachdem wir vom Tisch aus selbst aufstehen mussten… Der Lassi ist leider auch ein Fertigprodukt, welcher durch den Pappstrohhalm nicht besser wird, lieber weglassen… An der Anrichtung könnte ebenfalls gearbeitet werden… Schade wir hatten uns mehr erhofft, da ist die Nahe Konkurrenz in Saalfeld wesentlich besser… Wir können es für indisch Liebhaber nicht empfehlen… Wie gesagt, bedient wurden wir freundlich, leider war die Reaktion auf unseren Hinweis des kalten Essens nur ungläubig und dann schweigend hingenommen…

Ganz tolles Restaurant! Der Biergarten im Sommer ist ein Traum. Das Essen schmeckt ausgezeichnet und die Preise gemessen an den Portionen und der Qualität des Essens sind ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Tolles indisches Essen und freundliche Bedienung im GOA Restaurant Rudolstadt. Es war in der Tat für uns mal kulinarisch etwas neues und sehr lecker. Der Koch versteht offensichtlich sein Handwerk in Sachen indischer Küche. Empfehlung!
