Yesterday, I went to Gio for the first time with four friends. Christmas sparkle and glitter everywhere, both inside and out. Very cozy and atmospheric. Comfortable seating. Unfortunately, the restrooms are downstairs, which is inconvenient for people with mobility issues. I definitely have to go again when it's warmer outside. I imagine that would be great... Super friendly and efficient service; drinks and food arrived quickly. Everything was delicious, and while the prices weren't a steal, they were certainly reasonable. They had really tasty homemade lemonades. Leftovers are packed up upon request and can be taken home. But what impressed me/us the most was our server. We eat out regularly in Osnabrück and can therefore easily compare it to other restaurants. I honestly don't know what could be improved – the relaxed, friendly, and witty manner, the cool remarks, and the constant checking in to see if everything was alright or if we needed anything else. Even paying was entertaining and fun. (Cash and card payments are accepted; during the payment process, there are buttons to select a percentage tip, but you can also choose manually.) As we were leaving, the server complimented us, saying it had been a pleasure working with us and that we should stay just the way we are... Other places can only dream of having employees like that!!! Huge praise – keep up the great work!!!

It was a very nice, cozy evening. The staff were courteous and helpful. I ordered a Pizza Salmone (tomato sauce, spinach, salmon, and mozzarella). It was absolutely delicious.

Discovered this place while passing through, very hungry; drove home completely satisfied and full. You should definitely eat here!

Rather large Italian style restaurant with good food and friendly staff, but not particularly authentic or affordable.

We were here for a Christmas party with a large group. The service was excellent and attentive, and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was absolutely superb. I will definitely come back again and can highly recommend this restaurant.

What truly sets this restaurant apart is the exceptional service. From the very first second, we felt incredibly welcome and valued. Throughout the entire evening, the staff was not only highly professional but, above all, incredibly attentive, warm, and courteous. We always had the feeling that the team genuinely cared about the guests' well-being – our every wish was anticipated without the service ever feeling intrusive. A huge compliment to this fantastic team! The food was equally impressive. Every single course was a delight – superb in flavor, creatively prepared, and of obviously high quality. The kitchen here delivers at a very high level. The only slight drawback – and this is truly nitpicking – is the location of the restrooms. Unfortunately, they are located outside the actual restaurant area in the basement of the building. This is a bit inconvenient, and you have to step outside briefly. However, this minor logistical drawback in no way detracted from the outstanding overall impression. The top-notch service and fantastic food make Gio an absolute must-visit in Osnabrück. We'll definitely be back!

We stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant by chance during our short break and were absolutely thrilled after our first visit! The staff is incredibly polite and attentive. The food is truly outstanding. The ambiance is very cozy, with atmospheric lighting and lovely music. You can watch the chef cooking through the open kitchen, which I really enjoyed. On our second evening, we even received a complimentary drink. I've been to many restaurants on business trips, but this one will always stand out. We will definitely be back on our next visit to the area! 💯☺️

Very cozy and sophisticated atmosphere, comfortable chairs, friendly service. The appetizers and cocktails were excellent, the main courses were fine. However, two things stood out very negatively. When clearing the appetizer plates, we were asked to keep our cutlery for the main course, even though the knives were visibly covered in aioli. However, the used napkins were taken away, so the used cutlery was briefly left on the bare table. Absolutely unacceptable in a more upscale restaurant! One of the reasons we love going to Italian restaurants is because we love the desserts. At Gio, however, they only served chocolate cake and ice cream. We specifically asked which desserts weren't on the menu. There weren't any others. What a shame!

GIO Italian restaurant, excellent dishes at a high level, very authentic and reasonable prices, "Omar" the waiter is simply amazing and provides amazing and courteous service and makes the place super excellent 👍 A treat next to the Holiday Inn Hotel 😎

Honestly, I don't understand the 4.9 rating. That's definitely 5 stars. Everything here is just perfect. The food was delicious. Everything was fresh and warm. And the quality was impeccable. Also, a compliment to the kitchen. One suggestion perhaps: I think the mouse in the salad is out of place and thinks the freshness level is too high. It's canned corn and doesn't belong in a fresh salad. But that's just my personal opinion. The service was also super friendly and totally uncomplicated. The decor is also very pleasant, and there's relaxed chillout music playing in the background. I'll be back, thank you.

Fast service, tasty food, cozy atmosphere

Two things bothered us. 1) We both ordered a Coke and received 500ml; a huge glass. When we pointed out that we hadn't ordered a large Coke, the waiter said, "We always do it this way. If the customer doesn't explicitly say they want a regular Coke, they'll get a large." Thus, the more expensive drink was served without being asked. 2) The portion of pasta was very small; not filling. We initially thought it was due to the deep plate. Ultimately, the only thing that matters is whether you're full, and unfortunately, this wasn't the case. The portion size was like an appetizer. The value for money here is absolutely not right. The ambiance is very nice. The terrace is beautifully decorated. We'll be back; but for a regular Coke and pizza.

Unfortunately, I can't understand the good reviews. For me, this has little to do with Italian food. The bread was far too hard, the pasta was undercooked, and they used so much garlic that you could still smell it the next day. They also offer dishes with truffles, but they're either prepared with truffle oil or with canned truffles – that has nothing to do with fresh truffles. The taste is disappointing overall, and the value for money is very poor in my opinion. I get the impression that many people go there just for the location and usually just for a drink – but even that I wouldn't do again. There are also numerous cobwebs hanging outside the entrance by the lounge, and there are lots of insects around. I wouldn't recommend this place – there are definitely better restaurants in the city.

Nice atmosphere. The pizza was a bit cold and had the usual toppings; my companion had better luck with her filled dumplings. The service was OK.

Six of us were in Osnabrück for a weekend. We had reserved a table for our arrival. The reservation process was easy. The welcome was pleasant. The staff and their hospitality were first-class. The wait for our meal or next drink was extremely short, yet the food was still at the right temperature. We tried a variety of dishes, and each one completely met our expectations. The ambiance creates a holiday feeling that few other locations in Germany can match. We were so satisfied that we returned there again, despite the many good competitors in Osnabrück. Good food! Especially the vegetarian burger. Friendly staff, they let us have a seat so the kids could get some food, even though they were actually fully booked.

Even though we didn't have a reservation, we got a very nice seat. All the drinks and food we ordered were of a high standard. I found the prices reasonable.

Typical noble Italian restaurant: good service, lots of people with money, but the quality and quantity of the food didn't quite match the prices advertised. Drinks were appropriate again.

We were there yesterday and are simply thrilled! The ambience is really nice – very stylishly furnished, a real feel-good atmosphere. We got a table straight away and were able to order straight away. Within 15 minutes our cocktails and our food arrived - both were absolutely bomb! The cocktails were a highlight in themselves - we had a pornstar martini and an espresso martini, both just really awesome. The food was just as great – super tasty and well prepared. Special praise goes to Omar: He was super friendly, incredibly attentive, always happy to have fun for everyone and gave us excellent advice. Drinks came to the table in a flash, always with a casual saying – just great! At the end we would have liked to enjoy dessert on site, but unfortunately there was no room after the delicious meal. Omar was kind enough to pack the dessert for us to take away. Price-performance is absolutely harmonious - we are happy to pay for this quality. We are completely happy and will definitely come back! The food was overall very tasty. The starters were good, but nothing exceptional. The main course, however, was really excellent. We particularly liked the great ambience – stylish and inviting. An all-round successful experience in a really nice restaurant.

We had a spontaneous meal here yesterday and we were given a warm welcome. From the first second the waiter Omar - who served us for the rest of the evening - was able to convince us to visit Gio again. Omar responded very accommodatingly and charmingly to both special requests regarding the food and to inquiries. Even when there were some complaints about the food, we felt completely comfortable. What should be added is that as smokers, drinks were brought to us in the wonderful outdoor area and feedback was asked for every drink or food served. The Gio is definitely recommended. We had dinner with a group of 30 people and were looked after by Omar. He looked after us with exceptional kindness, professionalism and attentiveness. We ate an appetizer, pizzas, pasta dishes, meat and various desserts. Despite the size of our group, the service was quick and organized - whether it was about orders, special requests or inquiries. The drinks were delicious - I had Lillet White Peach and a soda on Omar's recommendation. Thanks to his warm manner, I felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.

Zuerst möchte ich sagen, dass meine Rezension bei Google gelöscht wurde wegen angeblicher Diffamierung. Ich schrieb nur, dass ich das Buffet nicht empfehlen würde, weil es sehr wenig war und man nicht satt wurde. Nachschub gab es erst als wir den Chef verlangt haben. Wir waren 27 Leute dort, es war eine Firmenfeier. Und alle können das bestätigen. Inwiefern das Diffamierung ist, verstehe ich nicht. Erbliche Rezensionen sind scheinbar nicht erwünscht. Ich hätte zwei Sterne vergeben, aber wegen der gelöschten Rezension gibt's nur einen.

Die Erfahrung, die ich in diesem Restaurant gemacht habe, ist einzigartig und nicht im positiven Sinne. Uns wurde gesagt, wir müssten unseren Tisch verlassen, weil er für jemand anderen reserviert sei, obwohl ich selbst reserviert hatte, um einen Geburtstag zu feiern. Ich verstehe diesen neuen Trend nicht, der darauf abzielt, den Gewinn zu maximieren, indem die Reservierungsdauer auf zwei Stunden begrenzt wird. Für ein Abendessen für vier Personen, das anderswo billiger gewesen wäre, mussten wir mehrere hundert Euro ausgeben und hatten kaum Zeit, unser Essen zu genießen. Auf jeden Fall wird dies mein erster und letzter Besuch in diesem Restaurant sein. Wenn Sie dort reservieren möchten, bereiten Sie sich darauf vor, schnell zu essen, sonst werden Sie hinausgeworfen.

The experience I had at this restaurant is unique and not in a good way. We were told we had to leave our table because it was reserved for someone else, even though I had made the reservation myself to celebrate a birthday. I don't understand this new trend that aims to maximize profits by limiting reservation duration to two hours. We had to spend several hundred euros on a dinner for four people that would have been cheaper elsewhere and barely had time to enjoy our meal. Definitely this will be my first and last visit to this restaurant. If you want to make a reservation there, prepare to eat quickly or you will be thrown out.

The food was very good. But unfortunately the employees were quite overwhelmed, at least on the evening we were there. We have e.g. For example, we waited over 30 minutes for our dessert, which was not served even after repeated requests. In the end we left without dessert. Even at the tables next to us you could hear again and again that something was always missing from the respective menus.

Very good service in a great atmosphere, no question. However, if you are hungry, you are not allowed to order spaghetti. The carbonara tasted good and was prepared in the original Italian way without cream sauce. For almost 20 EUR it's pretty steep, especially when you consider the mini portion. When asked about this, an apology was made, but nothing was done. So if you're hungry, order a pizza.

The restaurant is visually an eye-catcher, both outside and inside, the outside terrace in front of the entrance is really beautifully set up. You are warmly welcomed at the entrance and escorted to the table, the staff is more than friendly and attentive, we were even made aware that a huge group was about to arrive and that we should ideally order quickly to avoid a long waiting time. The food and the cocktails we ordered were prepared quickly. It was visually very beautiful to look at and also delicious. Gladly again.

I had the pleasure of dining at Gio Restaurant and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The steak I ordered was excellently prepared and of the highest quality. The cocktail served with it was delicious and professionally mixed. In general, I particularly noticed the variety of drinks and the very competent bar! However, what really stood out was the excellent service. I particularly noticed a slightly smaller waiter because he was extremely attentive to my needs. The only negative thing I noticed was that I had to walk a short distance through the rain on the way to the location. Overall, my visit to Gio was excellent and I give it a deserved 5/5 stars. If you are looking for a great restaurant with excellent food and outstanding service, then Gio is definitely the right choice!

Very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately I have to say that I was a little disappointed with the service. I ordered a spaghetti carbonara, which unfortunately I didn't like at all and therefore didn't eat. When a waitress came and asked if it was tasty, I honestly said it wasn't. She then said that she would pass it on to the kitchen. Nevertheless, I had to pay the full price of €19.90, which I find absolutely outrageous. My partner ordered a Burata pizza, which was very tasty. But we decided not to come back.

Bad food and a long waiting time.

Food tasted very good. Unfortunately the drinks only came after the meal. Service inattentive and in need of improvement, but the two young assistants were very friendly and helpful. Definitely has potential thanks to the beautiful terrace and atmosphere, but for the next visit I would like to have a main waiter who has a better handle on his job.
