I thought the food was delicious and the waiters were really nice. I recommend this restaurant because I liked it and because it looks very nice.

Everything else downstairs! Service was bad because German wasn't good. My dessert was to-go.

Both indoor and outdoor seating is comfortable and not too crowded. The menu is completely gluten-free, and there are extensive vegan and vegetarian options. I don't necessarily "need" either of these, but I find the food simply delicious. Curries, soups, sushi... the selection is extensive. Everything is beautifully presented, and the service is friendly. It's easy to make reservations online (which I personally always find helpful), and they even offer delivery. I almost always eat sushi there—it's not exactly cheap, but I think it's worth it.

This is our family's favorite restaurant. When we want to eat sushi, we immediately think of ginko. We've tried sushi at many other restaurants, but the fish at Ginko is, in our opinion, the freshest and tastiest. In addition to sushi, the restaurant also offers warm dishes, which are also very delicious. What is particularly noteworthy is that it is a 100% gluten-free and lactose-free restaurant & sushi bar - ideal for anyone with special dietary requirements. The staff is always warm, in a good mood and very friendly. We're always happy to come back!

As a Japanese, I must say it is not authentic Japanese food. The service was not good, the male waiter does not know how to serve the customers and rolled his eyes several times to the customer based on his mood.

I recently visited a sushi bar and was overall very satisfied. The atmosphere was simply great – cozy and stylishly furnished. We had a wonderful time with the family and enjoyed being together. The only small negative was that we had to wait about an hour for our order, but that wasn't a big problem as the environment was so pleasant. Overall we were very satisfied and will probably come back!

This was my second time there. Ate sushi once outside on the terrace with a warm Japanese dish and once inside. The food was perfect both times and the service was very friendly. Inside and only has the volume of a (FaceTime) phone call? very disturbed. Unpleasantly loud noises of talking and screaming could be heard there. This is very uncomfortable for sensitive people. Nonetheless, we will come back.

THE BEST SUSHI RESTAURANT I've ever been to in Germany (and I have been to many). I LOVED the fact they only have gluten free and lactose free options, it makes me feel very safe. The quality of the food is amazing, the variety also (not only the sushi, but also the soups and the Currys). The aesthetics of the dishes: wow!!! It was so beautiful I felt bad eating it (but I'm glad I did!). The attention was super friendly (they even let us take a baby of one of their beautiful plants!!). The environment is welcoming, very nice and smooth decoration, lots of wooden and green. Recommended. Km definitely going back soon next time I'm in Kassel.

You'll find something for everyone on the menu, from vegan to Omni and everything completely gluten-free (suitable for celiac disease). The service was nice and the food can be reactive quickly. It was a pleasure. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the noise level when it was more crowded. Loud conversations have led to louder music.

My family and I are all vegetarian/vegan and there is a great selection here at upscale but reasonable prices. The food always tastes good and is lovingly prepared. I like the Ginko salad and the Ginko noodles best. Really good!

The food is delicious (could be a little more) and the service is top, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right. The sushi is really extremely expensive and just not enough. Nicely presented, which often distracts people from the actual food. Starters are also good. Unfortunately it is extremely loud in the restaurant, which creates a train station feeling. Don't think I'll come back. There are too many equivalent or better alternatives for that.

The dishes are simply incredibly well decorated. The food looks great! But the taste is pretty standard (especially the sushi), so it's really not bad, but not really good either. Overpriced for that.

I usually like to visit Ginkgo because the quality of the food is very good. I go there at different times, both for lunch and dinner. Sometimes I travel alone, sometimes in a group. This means that we generate good sales for the restaurant. Since the service team changed, there has been a significant loss of quality in the service area, which has affected the previous atmosphere. This culminates in the fact that as soon as you see that the customer is finished (in my case the cappuccino was still half full), you are asked to leave - after almost 50 minutes (10.08.204). As far as I know, there is no mention of a maximum length of time a customer can stay at the location. When paying, I asked who was responsible: He apologized, but he also has to take responsibility for the incompetent actions of his staff. Summary: Before arguments are used from two different perspectives of a situation: In the situation described, no incident occurred, there was no argument or anything similar. Luckily, there are other places with a similar selection of food that you can try. I will do this for my part. This is the easiest way. As a customer you can tolerate some things, but you don't always have to. I would like to wish Ginkgo continued success. It would be very unfortunate if the new service team stood in the way of the success of the overall concept.

Manchmal bin ich allein unterwegs, manchmal in einer Gruppe. Das bedeutet, dass wir einen guten Umsatz für das Restaurant generieren. Seit dem Wechsel des Serviceteams ist ein erheblicher Qualitätsverlust im Servicebereich zu verzeichnen, der die bisherige Atmosphäre beeinträchtigt hat. Dies gipfelt darin, dass man, sobald man sieht, dass der Kunde fertig ist (in meinem Fall war der Cappuccino noch halb voll), zum Gehen aufgefordert wird – nach knapp 50 Minuten (10.08.204). Soweit ich weiß, gibt es keinen Vermerk, dass es eine maximale Dauer gibt, die ein Kunde in der Lokalität verweilen darf. Beim Bezahlen habe ich nach dem Verantwortlichen gefragt: Dieser hat sich jedoch entschuldigt, muss aber auch das inkompetente Handeln seines Personals verantworten. Zusammenfassung: Bevor Argumente aus zwei verschiedenen Perspektiven einer Situation herangezogen werden: In der beschriebenen Situation ist kein Vorfall aufgetreten, es gab keine Auseinandersetzung oder ähnliches. Glücklicherweise gibt es andere Lokale mit einer ähnlichen Auswahl an Speisen, auf die man ausweichen kann. Dies werde ich meinerseits tun. Dies ist der einfachste Weg. Als Kunde kann man einiges tolerieren, muss es aber nicht immer tun. Gerne wünsche ich dem Ginkgo auch weiterhin viel Erfolg. Es wäre sehr bedauerlich, wenn das neue Serviceteam dem Erfolg des Gesamtkonzepts im Wege stehen würde.

We have our regular restaurant in Berlin. The prices are a good 100% higher - but the quality doesn't come close to our comparison. The food, service and ambience are good. The deduction is there because the restaurant in Berlin received 5 stars.

The food is really good, both delicious and beautifully presented. It's also fairly healthy, consistently including carbohydrates, a protein source, and vegetables. So the meals are in general well-balanced. There are plenty of vegan options too! While it is on the pricier side, the quality justifies the cost entirely.

Unfortunately there was snack quality at upscale restaurant prices. Gado Gado Bowl: €17 for a huge pile of tasteless pasta with way too little sauce. There were still a few pieces of tofu and a few pieces of overcooked vegetables and a salad where the lettuce leaves were no longer completely fresh, although the salad dressing was very tasty. We saw the online menu on the website and ordered. When picked up locally, two dishes suddenly cost €2 more each, i.e. €17 instead of €15. A few years ago this dish cost €11. The avocado sushi was ok, but nothing special.

We were there for dinner yesterday and had reserved a place. Unfortunately, only the space directly in front of the completely open terrace door was free, where it was very drafty and cool. Luckily we were able to change later. The food was great, but what annoyed us yesterday was that the waiter first offered a schnapps to the next table and then to us too. We thought it was a nice gesture and a shot on the house and agreed. We were all the more surprised when the nice gesture showed up on our bill with an amount of 11 (!) euros. When we left we were even asked whether the schnapps was tasty. Well...

Nice restaurant, excellent service, very tasty sushi (for me one of the best sushi restaurants in Kassel), but also the other warm dishes were very fresh and tasty - and without the quality of either of them suffering. The plates are also beautifully arranged, because the eye eats too! Really recommended, we would love to come back.

Good Japanese style restaurant in Kassel

Ginko is certainly a good address for people who have problems with gluten, lactose and animal products. Otherwise, what's on the plate is pretty average. Everything was fresh and of good quality. However, I missed flavors and spiciness! The pho soup was marked with two pepperoni on the menu, sorry there was no spiciness at all. The red curry, three peppers, had a hint of spiciness, the hottest the cuisine has to offer. I asked the service about it and they seemed rather helpless. "Some people don't like it spicy" was his answer. Certainly correct, but that's what the marking on the map is for. If you don't like it spicy, don't order a dish with three pepperoni, that's easy. He wanted to bring my wife something to sharpen, but unfortunately he didn't come. She went to the counter and came back with a bottle of Sriracha, well. But it's not just about spiciness, but also about aroma. And no one will have anything against flavors. This is where the Ginko can get better.

We like to drive several hours to Kassel just to eat there because everything is gluten-free. The food is very fresh and tasty and the price-performance ratio is great. I can particularly recommend the spring rolls and the Sake Don.

We were at Ginko on Boxing Day with 4 adults and our son (who has celiac disease and is not allowed to eat gluten). Were there for the first time because we heard from various sources that you cook 100% gluten-free. The food was excellent. It was a great relief for us that our son finally had a free choice and didn't feel restricted. We would like to come again.

Simply very tasty, the food was prepared very quickly. The service was great. We had summer rolls with shrimp as a starter and then came the sushi platter for four people! Simply a force. It has everything you would expect, fresh, very well prepared and attractive. The record made us very full! Would love to come back, a friend is vegan and also found what she was looking for and was full.

By the time we got to the main course we had already finished 3 out of 4 drinks and somehow no one responded. Everyone seemed stressed - which I can definitely understand on a Saturday evening - and had blinders on. The good food, the friendliness and the good atmosphere still gave us a nice evening. We've been here twice now, a Friday and a Saturday (which is why I'm posting pictures from both visits at once). We always had reservations in advance, which was better because it was always very full. We eat Japanese more often, including at Junbi, and so we have a good comparison. - Drinks super tasty and fresh ingredients - Food fresh, tasty, and arrived very quickly - Staff very friendly and accommodating In my opinion it's on par with the Junbi! Come more often now :)

The food is very fresh and delicious there. The prices are really high, especially compared to other restaurants, but you get really good fresh sushi here. The tempura sushi was just average. The staff is friendly and helpful, even if there are sometimes language barriers. The ambience is quite nice, because it is so full, it is sometimes very loud, there is a different noise level here than in Junbi, for example. Still nicely decorated and delicious drinks. So if you want to eat really delicious fresh sushi, you've come to the right place.

In my opinion Ginko has the second best Sushi in Kassel, though the Miso and summer rolls are the best. Also Dessert is tasty and staff friendly and attentive. On the bonus note, here you’ll get all the meals gluten free, I haven’t noticed any difference. Can get busy, so reservation is recommended.

Unfortunately, the food was very bland and the carrots and zucchini in particular didn't taste like anything. In addition, the levels of spiciness seem to be just a decoration on the menu.

Das Essen hat stark nachgelassen. Ich habe mir eine Suppe mit Tofu bestellt, als Hauptgericht, die ein bisschen scharf sein sollte... Sie kam leider nicht heiß und auch nicht scharf und auch kaum gewürzt. Zum Schärfe nachwürzen gab es leider nur Wasabi (keine sriracha sauce oder ähnliches) und man hat leider auch relativ lang gewartet auf Getränke und Essen. Hatte schon Mal bessere Zeiten das Ginko.

Essen Top, der Service ist eine Katastrophe. Getränkeservice fand nicht statt. Erst auf Nachfrage kam jemand vorbei. Um 21:55 Uhr wurde die Rechnung vorbeigebracht mit dem Hinweis…..wir schließen in 5 Minuten. Geht so nicht, schade.

Ein solides, japanisches Restaurant im Herzen Kassels. Das Ginko wirbt mit authentischer und konsequent gluten- und laktosefreier Küche ohne Geschmacksverstärker. Via Auto oder Straßenbahn gut erreichbar. Kleine Außenterasse, allerdings direkt an der Straße. Es wird auch ein Lieferservice angeboten.
