Gyros-Frust statt gemütlicher Abend: Mein Erlebnis vor zwei Tagen Ich muss mir mal kurz Luft machen... 😤 Wir waren vor zwei Tagen zu dritt Gyros essen. Dass wir anfangs etwas länger auf das Essen warten mussten, war für uns überhaupt kein Problem – wir haben volles Verständnis. Aber was danach kam, war echt das Letzte: 👉 Rausschmiss-Stimmung beim Kauen: Kaum hatten wir unser Essen (relativ spät - 30 min Wartezeit ) auf dem Tisch, fing das Personal gegen 20:10 Uhr an, um uns herum die Stühle wegzuräumen und zu stapeln. Man hat sich extrem unwillkommen gefühlt – die Botschaft war klar: "Schnell aufessen und bloß abhauen!" 👉 Teller weggerissen: Eine Begleitung von mir war noch mitten im Essen, ich selbst war gerade fertig geworden und kaute noch den letzten Bissen herunter, da kam die Kellnerin und räumte uns einfach die Teller weg. Sogar der freie Stuhl direkt an unserem Tisch wurde uns unterm Hintern weggezogen, um ihn wegzustapeln. Gastfreundschaft? Fehlanzeige! 👉 Keine Kartenzahlung & keine Quittung: In der heutigen Zeit schon sehr speziell – gezahlt werden kann nur bar, und einen Kassenbon gab es auch nicht. Ein Schelm, wer Böses dabei denkt... 👀 Der Laden lebt wahrscheinlich nur davon, dass viel Laufkundschaft an der Straße vorbeifährt. Das Essen war okay ( billige dünne Fritten , aber der Service war der reinste Reinfall. Ein Gyros wie sonst keins. So mageres, top gewurztes Fleisch, echt gute Portionen und so liebe Leute - Pflichtbesuch, jedes Mal, wenn ich in der alten Heimat bin. Allerwärmste Empfehlung! (schönen Urlaub, und kommt bloss wieder! :)

Also, ich war an 2 verschiedenen Tagen dort und es hat mir echt nicht gefallen. Wieso? Das Gyros Fleisch ist einfach hell und ohne Geschmack und nicht gut gegrillt. Schmeckt mir einfach nicht. Ansonsten sind die Mitarbeiter nett. Ein weiterer Besuch lohnt sich meiner Meinung nach nicht.

Sehr leckeres Essen, große Portionen, günstige Preise, ich kann es empfehlen.

Was war das denn? Einfach mal eben mit dem geilsten Gyros weit und breit geflext. Wahnsinnig gute Qualität des Fleisches. Wahnsinnig gelungener Geschmack. Ich hörte hiervon und bin extra über 70km gefahren um mich selbst davon zu überzeugen (kein Scherz, komme aus dem Bergischen Land). Wenn ich in der Nähe bin, werde ich immer wieder dort essen! Dankeschön für diese Erfahrung.

Der Besuch dieses Lokals hinterlässt einen hervorragenden Eindruck, das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und höflich, die Portionen sind königlich.

Ein richtig guter Grieche hier in Bonn. Leckeres Gyros, leckerer Tzaziki und die Pommes auf den Punkt frittiert. Kleiner Abzug, weil sie keine Kartenzahlung anbieten, aber dennoch 5 Sterne 🌟

Bestimmt einer der bedten griechischen Imbissrestaurants im Umkreis. Immer alles frisch, da sehr hoher Kundendurchlauf, da wird nichts alt. Portionen riesig uns reicht eine große Gyros komplett für zwei. Bester Krautsalat und Tsatsiki. Sehr gut auch die Cevapcici , sehr empfehlenswert

Der Grillteller kam nach ca. 5 min, dementsprechend auch das Fleisch. Alles war nicht durch und auch ich gut gewürzt.

Wir waren dort zu 4 und wir alle waren sehr begeistert. Das Essen war mehr als zufrieden stellend und netter Service. Wir haben den Laden spontan entdeckt und einfach mal ausprobiert, und es hat sich definitiv gelohnt! Wir kommen wieder:) PS:Wir habe erst vor Ort erfahren das man nur mit Bargeld bezahlen kann, und KEINE Kartenzahlung möglich ist.

Wir waren zu dritt Vorort und waren alle 3 durchweg begeistert. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Marinade des Fleischspießes ist sehr lecker, das Fleisch ist saftig, sehr gut im Geschmack. Die Rippchen schmecken wie frisch vom Holzkohlegrill und die Cevapcici waren die besten, die ich je gegessen habe. Pommes sind lecker, Salat ist frisch. Das Tzaziki ist selbstgemacht und ebenfalls äußerst köstlich. Sehr üppige Portionen, die man auch mitnehmen kann. Vor der Tür gab es kostenlose Parkplätze, eine Terrasse zum Speisen und innen war es sehr sauber, das Ambiente offen, modern/ zeitlos. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Auch der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend mit leckeren, üppigen Speisen in freundlicher Atmosphäre. Wir werden jetzt öfter kommen. PS: nur Barzahlung und keine Desserts, Reservierung würde ich empfehlen

After an eventful day, we were craving a delicious gyro. On a recommendation, we went to Giannis Grill and we have to say the recommendation was absolutely right. The food was very tasty and plentiful; we couldn't finish it all and actually had the leftovers packed up to take home. The service staff was very friendly, attentive, and quick. This probably won't be our last visit. Keep up the good work!

I went to Giannis' place based on a recommendation. I ordered takeaway lunch for myself and my colleagues. The food was ready on time, despite ordering eight different dishes, it being lunchtime, and only an hour in advance. Everyone loved the food; everything from the salad to the pizza and gyros was delicious. One thing to note: they only accept cash!

The food at Giannis Grill II is absolutely amazing!! The meat, fries, coleslaw, and tzatziki are simply perfect!! Just on point and indescribably good! I've been getting food there for about 25 years. Very tasty, clean, friendly, and you don't have to wait long. You can pre-order for pickup. You can also eat there, but please note, it's a snack bar/grill, not a restaurant. It's cozy, clean, and there's always something for everyone, no matter how big or small you are. Keep it up.

We go here a few times a year to get gyros. Food: Whether it's gyro fries or a grilled platter, everything is truly delicious. Service: We've always been greeted very warmly by the staff. Customers are served attentively and quickly. Atmosphere: The ambiance is okay; for a Greek restaurant serving gyros, it's absolutely fine.

Bad attitude, no option to pay by card

The meat was dry and badly burnt, the plates had broken corners. It was very old inside. Not exactly inviting. The positives: The fries, coleslaw, and tzatziki were good. It used to be better.

I really enjoy getting the gyro pita at this snack bar. The gyro is delicious, and the side dish is more than enough. The staff is attentive and friendly. You can also eat in, and there's free parking available. The snack bar is busy.

The gyro was junk, tasteless, and not crispy. The tzatziki was yogurt with cucumber, also tasteless. The coleslaw was bought from the supermarket in plastic buckets. The Kölsch beer was too warm. All in all, never again.

Delicious food, friendly service. Unfortunately, the restaurant keeps closing without posting it on Google. This is annoying and disrespectful to the customers. Edit 8/8/2025: Today I found myself standing in front of a locked door again, even though Google said it was open. The owner clearly doesn't care about his customers.

What some people have to complain about...in all the years I've been a guest there, the gyros I ordered have been consistently recommendable. The fries were flawless and not at all greasy. The portions are so enormous that I, as a "normal" eater, have never been able to finish them all. Even the children's portion they offered once was barely different from the regular portion. The rest goes home as a second portion. Which means, even after the unfortunate price increase, I still get two portions for my money. The ambiance is befitting a grill restaurant and perfectly adequate. I was and still am completely satisfied; I don't understand the one-star reviews. It should also be mentioned that there's another gyro place near Gianni's. I got gyros there twice and couldn't eat them; they used spices that I found unpleasant. I'll stick with Janni. I'll be back soon for my birthday gyro. I'm looking forward to it, see you soon.

Sorry, but the meat was just moving... Absolutely disgusting. According to the comments, it seems like it's been going on for a few weeks. I'll make a phone call tomorrow; a food inspection is more than appropriate!

The whole gyro is incredibly large and tastes amazing. Unfortunately, it came with the typical cabbage and not a small mixed side dish. Otherwise, everything was great. The price of €13 was quite high, but it was very tasty.

100/10 stars!!! Always clean, always friendly, always delicious gyros, delicious salads, Kölsch on tap... I've been enjoying eating here for over 10 years and can recommend it to everyone.

Too bad... The gyro isn't crispy and has no flavor; it looks like it's barely cooked (very light meat, and some parts are still pink, looking a bit like chicken). The only thing that had flavor was the tzatziki. The fries were quite good.

The portions are large, but not well seasoned. The fries were pretty bland, but at least they weren't soggy. We missed tomatoes and cucumbers in the pita.

Ordered 4 Gyros half an hour in advance by phone… Gyros has been better, fries are so-so… pre-ordering makes no sense… then have to wait 10 minutes despite ordering, we have to find another supplier

The Giannis Grill Restaurant in Niederpleis offers Greek cuisine and snacks. You can eat in or takeaway. I stayed there and received very friendly service. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The coleslaw is particularly delicious. This is an excellent way to fill yourself up when you're hungry or in a hurry. I'll be back.

Well I have to say the food is excellent. In my opinion the best gyros in the area. I go there regularly and take a gyro to go, now I don't even have to order anymore - they say "as always" when I come in, I find it attentive and great. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Waiting time, even when it's full it's relatively quick.

Unfortunately not really happy there anymore. Meat is not supposed to be anything like a gyro every time. I don't want to say raw, but just enough to make it through. Bright and tasteless. Fries etc. Were good. But I threw the meat away completely because it just didn't taste like anything and has nothing to do with gyros.

Great value for money! If you order a large portion, you really get a large portion - everyone here is guaranteed to be full. The prices are absolutely fair, which is not a given these days. But more importantly: the food tastes really good! I was there with a vegetarian and she also loved the vegetarian pita - it tasted great! We'll definitely be back.

We've known the snack bar for a long time and usually picked up food. We ate here today and the service was super friendly. The gyro was super tasty. The meat is cross-fried and still juicy. The coleslaw was exactly how I liked it. Not too sour and crispy fresh. The portions are sufficient. The small portion of fries was generous and sufficient. We'd love to come back.
