I went to Giannis' place based on a recommendation. I ordered takeaway lunch for myself and my colleagues. The food was ready on time, despite ordering eight different dishes, it being lunchtime, and only an hour in advance. Everyone loved the food; everything from the salad to the pizza and gyros was delicious. One thing to note: they only accept cash!

The food at Giannis Grill II is absolutely amazing!! The meat, fries, coleslaw, and tzatziki are simply perfect!! Just on point and indescribably good! The same goes for all the other dishes on the menu (I've tried them ten times already!). The quality is consistently more than perfect every single day!! If you want a real, delicious gyro and other Greek specialties in a truly enormous portion, you absolutely have to go to Giannis!! The staff is incredibly friendly and doesn't just practice good restaurant etiquette, they truly embody it!! I've been getting food there for about 25 years. Very tasty, clean, friendly, and you don't have to wait long. You can pre-order for pickup. You can also eat there, but please note, it's a snack bar/grill, not a restaurant. It's cozy, clean, and there's always something for everyone, no matter how big or small you are. Keep it up.

I've eaten there several times with my buddies. Even hungry men will leave satisfied! Great place.

We go here a few times a year to get gyros. Food: Whether it's gyro fries or a grilled platter, everything is truly delicious. Service: We've always been greeted very warmly by the staff. Customers are served attentively and quickly. Atmosphere: The ambiance is okay; for a Greek restaurant serving gyros, it's absolutely fine.

Bad attitude, no option to pay by card

The meat was dry and badly burnt, the plates had broken corners. It was very old inside. Not exactly inviting. The positives: The fries, coleslaw, and tzatziki were good. It used to be better.

I really enjoy getting the gyro pita at this snack bar. The gyro is delicious, and the side dish is more than enough. The staff is attentive and friendly. You can also eat in, and there's free parking available. The snack bar is busy.

The gyro was junk, tasteless, and not crispy. The tzatziki was yogurt with cucumber, also tasteless. The coleslaw was bought from the supermarket in plastic buckets. The Kölsch beer was too warm. All in all, never again.

Delicious food, friendly service. Unfortunately, the restaurant keeps closing without posting it on Google. This is annoying and disrespectful to the customers. Edit 8/8/2025: Today I found myself standing in front of a locked door again, even though Google said it was open. The owner clearly doesn't care about his customers.

What some people have to complain about...in all the years I've been a guest there, the gyros I ordered have been consistently recommendable. The fries were flawless and not at all greasy. The portions are so enormous that I, as a "normal" eater, have never been able to finish them all. Even the children's portion they offered once was barely different from the regular portion. The rest goes home as a second portion. Which means, even after the unfortunate price increase, I still get two portions for my money. The ambiance is befitting a grill restaurant and perfectly adequate. I was and still am completely satisfied; I don't understand the one-star reviews. It should also be mentioned that there's another gyro place near Gianni's. I got gyros there twice and couldn't eat them; they used spices that I found unpleasant. I'll stick with Janni. I'll be back soon for my birthday gyro. I'm looking forward to it, see you soon.

Sorry, but the meat was just moving... Absolutely disgusting. According to the comments, it seems like it's been going on for a few weeks. I'll make a phone call tomorrow; a food inspection is more than appropriate!

The whole gyro is incredibly large and tastes amazing. Unfortunately, it came with the typical cabbage and not a small mixed side dish. Otherwise, everything was great. The price of €13 was quite high, but it was very tasty.

100/10 stars!!! Always clean, always friendly, always delicious gyros, delicious salads, Kölsch on tap... I've been enjoying eating here for over 10 years and can recommend it to everyone.

The portions are large, but not well seasoned. The fries were pretty bland, but at least they weren't soggy. We missed tomatoes and cucumbers in the pita.

Too bad... The gyro isn't crispy and has no flavor; it looks like it's barely cooked (very light meat, and some parts are still pink, looking a bit like chicken). The only thing that had flavor was the tzatziki. The fries were quite good.

Ordered 4 Gyros half an hour in advance by phone… Gyros has been better, fries are so-so… pre-ordering makes no sense… then have to wait 10 minutes despite ordering, we have to find another supplier

The Giannis Grill Restaurant in Niederpleis offers Greek cuisine and snacks. You can eat in or takeaway. I stayed there and received very friendly service. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The coleslaw is particularly delicious. This is an excellent way to fill yourself up when you're hungry or in a hurry. I'll be back.

Well I have to say the food is excellent. In my opinion the best gyros in the area. I go there regularly and take a gyro to go, now I don't even have to order anymore - they say "as always" when I come in, I find it attentive and great. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Waiting time, even when it's full it's relatively quick.

Unfortunately not really happy there anymore. Meat is not supposed to be anything like a gyro every time. I don't want to say raw, but just enough to make it through. Bright and tasteless. Fries etc. Were good. But I threw the meat away completely because it just didn't taste like anything and has nothing to do with gyros.

Great value for money! If you order a large portion, you really get a large portion - everyone here is guaranteed to be full. The prices are absolutely fair, which is not a given these days. But more importantly: the food tastes really good! I was there with a vegetarian and she also loved the vegetarian pita - it tasted great! We'll definitely be back.

We've known the snack bar for a long time and usually picked up food. We ate here today and the service was super friendly. The gyro was super tasty. The meat is cross-fried and still juicy. The coleslaw was exactly how I liked it. Not too sour and crispy fresh. The portions are sufficient. The small portion of fries was generous and sufficient. We'd love to come back.

The price of a Gyros Pita has doubled in 4 years, but unfortunately my salary hasn't. In front of me there was a large order and the gyro skewer was at its limit. I should have done without, the receipt was sick for three days. The portion I got was almost raw and I threw half away. It wasn't enough, diarrhea and vomiting.

Eating at Giannis Grill 2 for the first time and I'm very impressed. The gyros were delicious and the portions were huge (in fact, we were able to eat twice at Gyros Complete). Unfortunately, the ambience didn't appeal to me that much and it seemed more like a snack bar (so we probably won't eat there, but would be happy to come pick it up). I would like to give 5 stars for the service because the staff is really great - unfortunately no card payment is offered and that is a no-go these days (even the small bakery next door offers it).

Smoking outside is a little annoying when you're eating.

It was my first time in this restaurant. Had lamb with salad and tzatziki. The portion was very large, the lamb was very tender, deliciously seasoned, no tendons were simply great. The tzatziki was very tasty. You could choose from 2 variants of the salad. I've eaten a lot of lamb, but this was the best I've ever eaten so far. I thought the atmosphere was great. We were outside in the beautiful weather, but inside it was also beautifully decorated. The sanitary facilities were very clean. The service was very friendly and attentive but not intrusive. I will come here again and eat delicious lamb. If I could I would give 10 stars!

Food very tasty and everything fresh, nice service. But you shouldn't put the salad on the plate, but add it separately because warm salad doesn't taste that good (just a suggestion). Otherwise everything was clean, tzatziki especially garlicky, highly recommended. Clean toilets and also a large parking space in front of the house. Also suitable for wheelchair users. The interior looks like a snack bar and could be a little bigger, the tables in front of the toilet doors are not quite as nice, you should perhaps improve a small wall in front of the doors and do without two tables instead. Otherwise really good to recommend.

I ordered something to take away there, the staff was very friendly, everything was very clean and tidy on site, you have to be honest, the food was very, very tasty, crispy meat, tzatziki very tasty and homemade.
