Authentic Georgian restaurant. Personnel speaks German, Georgian and Russian. The service is fast, the servers are polite and attentive. It's often fully booked, so the reservation is recommended. Somewhat noisy and crowded. The food is a little bit too salty to my taste. These days you may additionally enjoy wonderful and unusual New Year decorations.

I learned to savor the vibrant and original Georgian cuisine while working in St. Petersburg. The cuisine of this ancient Caucasian country (also known for its deeply rooted wine production) is so beloved by Russians that restaurants from the nation protected by St. George can be found in every neighborhood, even in the capital, Moscow. So, when I discovered Iveria in Munich, I began visiting regularly, given the imagination, harmony, and craftsmanship of the dishes offered. It's frequented by Georgians and Russians in Bavaria, as well as Germans, of course. The restaurant isn't particularly large, and the tables are packed tightly together. The walls are adorned with paintings painted in a brilliant and detailed style, featuring dreamlike views of typical landscapes, buildings, and churches. The menu is extensive and well-illustrated, featuring four types of "kachapuri" (a type of oven-baked pizza with fresh sheep's cheese, somewhat similar to Genoese focaccia with cheese), perhaps the most typical dish of that extraordinary country. There are also many appetizers made with the finest products of the Caucasus (eggplant, beetroot, cabbage, walnuts, pomegranate, coriander, aromatic spices), a true feast for the eyes. Lamb is a must, and they serve it both on skewers (shashlik) and as a filling for "cinkali" (elegant pasta pouches). I enjoyed the "lobio," a bean soup, served while it was still boiling. Alessia, my refined and demanding former colleague, comforted herself with a "sazivi," a soup with chicken pieces in a walnut cream. Not being a wine expert, I must decline to offer my advice. But it's worth a try, as their wine production dates back to the dawn of civilization. I feel compelled, however, to recommend the rich "Borjomi" mineral water, particularly sulfurous in taste and aroma, in a triumph of bubbles. In short, if you're in the Bavarian capital and want an exotic, interesting, and stimulating culinary experience, don't miss Iveria. I was unfortunately disappointed with my visit to this restaurant and cannot recommend it. While the menu was quite extensive, it was also very worn. The food was only average overall, and the salads were rather disappointing – we didn't even finish them. I was particularly dissatisfied with the service: I didn't feel welcome at all, and communication in German was unfortunately difficult. The waiter also seemed rather unhelpful.

Everything was delicious, and the food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. The only downside is the Girocard payment option. Visa isn't accepted. I had to go to an ATM to withdraw money. Otherwise, everything was great; you just need to bring cash.

Unfortunately, all the waiters were unfriendly, which surprised me after all the good reviews, but the food was excellent.

We had a lovely evening here. Nice restaurant, good service. Lots to try. However, I found the lamb stew, with only one piece of meat, a bit lean. On the other hand, all the other dishes were good. Everything was very well seasoned. The ambiance isn't exactly cozy, but you can still spend a pleasant evening.

The food was fantastic! Everything we ordered—three types of shashlik, baked mushrooms, grilled vegetables, Georgian-style potatoes, schnitzel, fresh vegetable salad, kharcho, and lamb stew—was delicious! I highly recommend this place. The only downside is that you can't pay with MasterCard or Visa. Unfortunately, we're visiting and don't have German bank cards.

Simply fantastic! The waiters are very attentive but not intrusive 🙂 The food is amazing 🍴👍 I recommend: lamb shashlik, khachapuri (the first on the menu), and cold appetizers: eggplant with garlic and beetroot salad. The wine was also excellent; we got a bottle for 40 euros. Thanks to our waiters Ivan and Shmagi (sorry if I spelled it wrong) for a wonderful evening. Compliments to the chef and colleagues in the kitchen and administration ❣️💐

Iveria is on my must-go list every time I come to Munich. They have the best khinkali in the world and their baked goods like khachapuri are to die for. The staff has always been incredibly nice and accommodating to us even when we showed up with a bunch of crazy kids. The food is so tasty and the atmosphere is like you are visiting an old friend’s home.

We had a great experience at the restaurant. As we were a big group it was the best to order a lot of different starters and share, then have a main dish. Everything was perfect, beautiful orange wine, delicious food and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

We ate here during Oktoberfest. From the Georgian salad with walnuts to the traditional khinkhali, the lamb kebab with spicy adjika, and the wonderfully tender lamb shashlik. Everything tasted absolutely delicious. The service was also very fast. We only had to wait about 10 minutes from the time we ordered, even though the restaurant was packed. We'll definitely be back.

I’ve been coming here with my friends many times, and it’s always a wonderful experience. The food is absolutely delicious, and I especially recommend trying the khinkali — they are outstanding! The staff is very charismatic, welcoming, and they also have a great sense of humor, which makes every visit even more enjoyable. Every time we come, it feels warm, fun, and full of amazing flavors. Be careful, you'll be discriminated against here because of your appearance! And the food is pretty mediocre. I wanted to eat delicious Georgian food in Munich. Instead, it felt like I'd landed somewhere in Russia. The waitress repeatedly addressed me in Russian without asking, even though I was communicating clearly in German. Just because I look Eastern European doesn't mean I speak or understand Russian. I really wouldn't have expected such behavior from a Greek restaurant, given the historical tensions between Greece and Russia. Simply disappointing.

First of all – the photos are from the restaurant's website and are exactly the same in real life. You should definitely make a reservation here, and it's definitely worth it. This relatively small restaurant has an almost family-like atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Here, we experienced perhaps the best Georgian cuisine. For starters, we had Sulguni, followed by Adjaruli (sensational), the filling super juicy and perfectly seasoned. Then came Chanakhi (super-soft lamb with vegetables). To finish, we had Khinkali, which was a dream. There were two of us and we definitely ate too much, but it tasted soooo good. Bring a big appetite. An absolute must-visit when you're in Munich. See you next time.

The food was standard. Nothing extraordinary. The waiters only speak Russian, and the customers are mostly Russian-speaking. The tables are very close together, so you can overhear other people's conversations. I found the waiters intrusive and stressful. We were still eating and they kept wanting to clear our plates. Payment is only possible with debit cards. No other cards are accepted.

We were only in Munich for a few days and had dinner here twice. If you plan to visit, book a table in advance. The first time we didn't know about the need for a reservation, but we were lucky and we were allocated a table for an hour and a half. The service is excellent, they welcomed us as guests in their home, quickly brought food and drinks, and kept asking if there was enough. Everything we ordered was very tasty, we haven't had such tender kebabs in a long time. This place will definitely be the next reason to visit Munich

The food at Iveria is good but the overall review is penalised by the service and the ambience which I didn’t find really pleasant. Our waiter was a bit harsh at first, making us feel pretty unease in the process of ordering food. He then became more enjoyable in the course of the evening and we got to understand it’s a matter of personality and different culture - still the experience was not nice. The place was very crowded and noisy. But the food is yummy, we especially liked the kachapuri and Kinkhali. The wine list is also very nice, not extensive but with a good choice of Georgian wine (our was very good!). There’s surely potential for improvement, and I would recommend the food, but not the overall experience.

We were seated near the entrance, even though many other tables were available. The seating was very uncomfortable—right in the middle of a draft and with constant foot traffic. This significantly spoiled the dining experience. The dish (lamb with vegetables) was okay, but completely overpriced considering the portion size and quality. Overall, unfortunately, it wasn't a visit we would repeat.

Visit it today with my family this place for the first time. Ordered shashlik with chicken, lumb and pork. And also hinkali. All tasted very very good. Great service. And at the end we've got shots of Cha-cha as a gift. Highly recommend!

If I could give zero I would have , we walked in rain for 30 minutes to eat there and they said they don’t accept any card but German cards or cash , couldn’t eat there , got uber paid another 20 euros and went to another place to eat. Super disappointed on such limitation in this century.
