Habe am 7. Mai,mit meiner Familie Tisch für 5Personen+3Hunde reserviert !Unser Tisch war top ,das Personal mega,das Essen köstlich!Wir haben die Zeit mit leckeren original griechischen Gerichten in griechischer Atmosphäre genossen und haben jetzt endlich ein Lokal gefunden wo Super ist!Sind einfach begeistert!

Wir fanden das Essen hier sehr gut. Es war reichlich und schmeckte lecker. Die Bedienungen waren sehr nett und waren stets sofort zur Stelle. Auch die vegetarischen Gerichte lohnen sich. Es gibt sicher "hübschere" griechische Restaurants, doch Essen und Bedienung machen das wett.

Wir waren probeessen. Nachdem wir unser Plaka in der Rothenburger Straße eingebüßt haben, hat uns eine Freundin den Gelben Löwen empfohlen. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen war super. Besonders toll finde ich die kleinen Gerichte, die Portion ist völlig ausreichend, da kann man ruhig noch eine Vorspeise wählen, oder einen Nachtisch. Also, sehr zu empfehlen!!

Die Portionen waren zwar groß, aber das Essen hat uns nicht gut getan. Mein Essen war scharf, und obwohl ich scharfes Essen gut vertrage, vermute ich, dass das Hähnchen auf dem roten Teller nicht frisch war, da ich danach einen Tag lang starke Bauchschmerzen hatte. Der andere Teller enthielt eine Mischung verschiedener Fleischsorten, die alle sehr lecker und schmackhaft waren. Das Personal ist freundlich, die Atmosphäre angenehm, aber die Tische stehen etwas eng beieinander, sodass man alles von den Nachbartischen hören, riechen, sehen und fühlen kann. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Restaurant aufgrund der mangelhaften Qualität nicht empfehlen.

Spitze dafür fahren wir auch quer durch Nürnberg

Das Team vom Gelben Löwen ist einfach spitze! Gastfreundlich, zuvorkommend und immer einen Lustigen Spruch parat. Und jetzt zur Küche: Das Essen ist der hammer. Das Gyros ist immer knusprig und saftig... Wie geht das eigentlich? Das Suflaki ist immer auf den Punkt, Königsdisziplin so saftig, dass gibt es in der ganzen Metropolregion nur hier so. Und die Calamari butter weich. Für Menschen die Stille beim Essen brauchen ist das aber nichts. Durch den relativ kleinen Gastraum kommt eine gewisse Lautstärke zusammen, aber will man genau dieses Gesellige Beisamensein nicht, wenn man zum Griechen geht? Ich finde es hier einfach toll und werde weiterhin oft und regelmäßig kommen. Lg Schwarzer

Bester Grieche in der Umgebung. Kommen schon seit einigen Jahren und es ist jedes mal das beste Essen. Der Service ist auch immer super freundlich und stehts bemüht.

Während unseres Urlaubs in Nürnberg haben wir unweit unserer FeWo beim Gelben Löwen vorab reserviert und gegessen. Am Samstag Abend war es hier sehr voll, aber die freundliche Bedienung hatte alles gut im Griff. Nach mäßiger Wartezeit gab es dann ein leckeres Essen. Fazit: Wir kommen gerne wieder und können dieses Restaurant aufgrund der reichhaltigen Speisekarte, des guten Preis- Leistung Verhältnisses und besonders wegen der sehr freundlichen Bedienung sehr empfehlen. PS. Eine Reservierung wurde uns auf Anfrage empfohlen.

I was in Zirndorf with my wife and children (ages 5 & 7) for a visit to Playmobil FunPark. We found the Yellow Lion by chance on Google. Since the reviews were very good, we decided to try this restaurant. It looked relatively unassuming at first glance, but we received a pleasant and friendly welcome at the entrance. After being assigned a table, the parents were given a welcome ouzo. Drinks were then taken after the menu was handed out. The service was very friendly and competent. The appetizers were served a few minutes after ordering. Everything was as ordered, including the children's special requests. Following the appetizer, the delicious main course arrived. We were offered another ouzo when paying. Conclusion: Everything was perfect. There was nothing to complain about.

We stayed in Zirndorf for three nights and found the Gelber Löwen by chance on Google Maps. It's completely unassuming, but the service is nice, friendly, and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious. We came back on our third night. Where else can you get a free ouzo as a welcome and farewell?

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience during our visit. Upon entering the restaurant, we had the strong feeling of being unwelcome – apparently due to our immigrant background. Even though half the place was empty, we were told the tables were "not meant for people like us." Such a statement is not only disappointing, but downright discriminatory. It's a shame, because we were actually open-minded and curious – but after this experience, we definitely won't be coming back.

An absolute favorite restaurant! We've been coming here regularly for years and have never been disappointed. The Greek starters and main courses are consistently delicious, fresh, and authentic. The chef is super friendly and always creates a pleasant atmosphere. The ambiance is inviting and cozy—you just feel at home. We've been regular customers for a long time, and for good reason. We're always happy to come back!

haven't been there for a while. The food is not as good as it used to be!! We paid around 50 euros with 2 people… Meat was tough (cooked too long) Had to wait about an hour for food, even though there wasn't much going on in the restaurant... Conclusion: “we were disappointed” and won’t be back so soon!!

March 2025 After the initial difficulties due to company holidays, everything is very good again😋 Today (9/29/24) we had lunch after the restaurant's 2024 company holiday. What happened on vacation? So far we have been very satisfied with the food 😋. But now, the calamari was very rubbery and the rice was a bit tasteless. We hope that will happen again soon.

I've been here for dinner several times now and I'm always impressed again and again, the food is very tasty and the prices are still acceptable for today's standards. You can also order and pick up the food. The typical Greek style in the restaurant itself is very inviting and well-kept. Outside in the beer garden, German and Greek cultures merge a little, you just feel good. The staff is really on the ball, totally friendly and always up for a joke! The Yellow Lion is recommended to anyone who likes Greek cuisine! However, it is advisable to reserve by telephone as all places are often full. Unfortunately, you can only edit one review at a time and cannot write another one. Always great!!!

Very tasty food and very friendly staff!!

We ate at the Yellow Lion again. This time too it is easy for us to give 5 stars. Grape leaves are wrapped in an unusual way (to other restaurants), but they tasted very, very tasty. I avoid the white sauce and just eat the grape leaves drizzled with lemon and olive oil. The main course was just as perfect. The Suzuki was light and well seasoned. The beef liver was fried to perfection and the gyros were crispy and very well seasoned. There was also a side salad that tasted good. Perfect Vinegrette made seasoning unnecessary. Our table of four was completely satisfied with all of the dishes. The service was always friendly and quick. Now our regular Greek! Definitely try it out!

We passed by this restaurant by pure chance on our way back to our hotel. What a wonderful surprise: a Greek restaurant in the suburbs of Nuremberg that offers a captivating menu. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!! The waiters were well mannered and really professional. Lovely place, highly recommended (we quite literally licked the plates clean ;)

I've been eating here for 14 years and the quality is always 100%. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat for me—it's like a home away from home and it's dog friendly too!! All the employees are simply perfect, warm and always attentive. You never wait long and there is always an ouzo to greet you. Christopher and Alex treat us like we're part of the family, and that's exactly how it feels. The lamb is incredibly tasty and the grilled octopus is so tender it melts in your mouth. Everything is prepared with fresh ingredients and so much love that you can taste it in every bite. I spent my last evening in Germany here with my closest friends and family, and it was important to me that my “Greek family” was there too. Unfortunately I live in London now, but I know for a fact that the first thing I'll do when I visit again will be a visit to the Yellow Lion. I visited this restaurant a few days ago and can confirm that the food and service were excellent. The prices are okay, but there is one thing to complain about, namely the beer. I believe the beer bottle was opened long before serving, which gave the beer an off taste.

The waiters were very friendly. After an hour the food finally came. The food was forgettable, the fries were cold, the rice was tasteless, the gyros were very flaky. Maybe we had a bad day, but for all of us this was the worst Greek meal we had. Never here again.

I actually really like this Greek place and we order there regularly. Unfortunately that wasn't the case today. Twice I got pointed peppers instead of zucchini and the octopus was completely missing even though I paid for it.

Unfortunately, we had to wait forever for our food (almost an hour), while people who came to the tables 20 minutes later and ordered the same dishes got their food before us. Unfortunately the quality wasn't that great either. The prawns were not cooked through, but very mushy and the gyros were rather tasteless... However, we found the staff to be extremely friendly and accommodating.

Excellent Greek restaurant. Tzatziki had a mild taste. And meat is tender. Portions are very large. For our children, 1 dish was recommended with an extra plate. They couldn't even finish that. We went on a very hot day, and afterwards two people had stomach problems. Probably because the meat had been in the heat a little too long.

Nachspeisen sehr lecker und der Kaffee auch nicht schlecht. Waren wie immer die letzten die das Restaurant verlassen haben. Die Kellner immer mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht und einen Witz auf der Zunge. Immer wieder gerne!!!
