Franconian delicacies, home-style preparation and garnished with fast, friendly staff. This is how you could briefly describe the post office in the city center of Bad Kissingen. However, you could also go into raptures, because there is hardly anything like it anymore. And even if the prices could be 1-2 euros cheaper (still okay for the location) it gets full marks. It's almost impressive that you can still find a place like this today where, in addition to the really tasty food, the staff also knows how to please. If you don't believe that, you should see for yourself as quickly as possible

A home-style restaurant with outdoor dining in the pedestrian zone of Bad Kissingen. The guest room is tube-like and holds relatively few guests. The interior is already of a certain age. Still comfortable. The service was quick and attentive. Everyone enjoyed the food very much. What was pleasantly surprising was that porcini mushrooms were served with the Jägerschnitzel instead of the usual mushrooms. The prices are unfortunately at the current high level. Of course, “high” is relative. But if we here in Franconia were used to paying 12 - 13 euros for a Jägerschnitzel until recently, 19.50 euros is already high. We would definitely come again.

We were here for the second time within 3 days. The staff is very friendly and you can tell that everyone enjoys their work. The food is totally delicious. Really good German cuisine. We'd love to come back.

I got stranded here by chance, the first impression was that it was a busy restaurant, I didn't order in advance and still got a place under the umbrella at the entrance. The food, I had bratwurst with sauerkraut was very good. Actually the restaurant would have earned 4 points. Deductions for the following reason: my request to leave out the accompanying bread (necessary for health reasons) was answered by the waitress in a strange tone - it costs the same. There was no offer for perhaps a little more sauerkraut. Conclusion - Bread probably doesn't cost anything here. This can be done significantly differently and, above all, better.

Very good Franconian regional cuisine! Crispy young pork roast with the rind cracking! A delicious treat! The sauerbraten is no less good than you want it to be! Both the homemade potato dumplings and the bread dumplings with the fine seasonal cream chanterelles are a Franconian stunner!!! Be sure to stop by “Zur Post”! The warm, totally friendly service makes your enjoyment even sweeter with its fine, humorous nature!

The inn is simply rustic. The acoustics are a bit loud. It was a bit difficult to have a conversation. The food is plentiful and very tasteful. Good home-style Franconian cuisine. We went there to eat because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, as has been shown so often, you can't always respond to that. Food was really only mediocre. Not too big of a schnitzel. Mushroom sauce not freshly prepared and lukewarm at most. The fries were also mediocre and poorly seasoned. Service OK. But there is still something going on in terms of friendliness and attention. Overall, we wouldn't go there again.

Coming from the north for a day trip to Franconia, we of course had to eat Schäufele. We got a place on the terrace at short notice. The service was very fast and super friendly, the food was authentic and very tasty and the price-performance ratio was super fair. A change request was also implemented easily. If we come to the corner again, we'd love to come back! ♥️

We were looking for 2 places for dinner at short notice and luckily found them there. There was less than 10 minutes between the food order and its completion. 👌🏼 Nevertheless, the food was brought hot. 👍🏼

We had dinner here with 6 people. The pasta with gorgonzola sauce and tomatoes was covered with a lot of parsley, which made the already mild taste even more subtle. There was hardly any response from the wait staff to criticism. I would have liked the criticism to be taken seriously and for me to be respected as a guest. I also work in the catering industry and such behavior is unprofessional. We certainly won't come back. To be fair, I have to say the schnitzel was very tasty.

I was there between around 5 and 6 p.m. and was able to order directly and everything was on the table in less than 10 minutes. (But it was probably before the big rush, as all tables were reserved from 7 p.m. onwards. Schnitzel was not dry at all, as were the fries. The only thing that I personally don't find perfect is the outdoor area, which you simply can't find in a pedestrian zone Can do better. Top restaurant!

Unfortunately, the sauces for both meals had no taste. The meat (suckling pig) was okay, but it came with a good sauce. Also with the dish asparagus with penne (sauce was bitter)

Nice little restaurant on Marjtplatz in Bad Kissingen. The dishes are very tasty and good bourgeois. Everyone gets something to eat here. I wish the salads were unprepared. Here the lettuce is a bit shrunken and limp. I can highly recommend the cordon bleu filled with smoked ham... really tasty. The prices correspond to a good price/performance ratio. The drink prices are ok. The service is friendly but a bit hectic The restaurant is barrier-free, as are the clean toilets. The parking situation in the city center is very problematic, as is the case throughout Bad Kissingen
