Delicious home-cooked food at fair prices. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They'll fulfill any special requests if you just ask. The ambiance in the restaurant is very nice, but you have to like it.

We were more than satisfied. Service was prompt and friendly. The food arrived super quickly, even though the restaurant was busy. My first shoulder of pork was a dream ❤️ We really liked the value for money. No outrageous prices for great portions. Any special requests? No problem! The outdoor area is beautifully located in the pedestrian zone. We'll be back 🥰

Located right on the pedestrian zone in Bad Kissingen. Extensive menu. Friendly service. We had liver dumpling soup for starters and cordon bleu for the main course. Everything was very tasty and fresh. Very good value for money!

We returned after a long time, and we were thrilled again. The service was uncomplicated and super friendly, and our food was absolutely delicious. A pumpkin soup to start with was very flavorful, the beef roulade was tender and tender, perfect dumplings, delicious red cabbage, and the radish was perfectly seasoned, delicious tagliatelle, and a large portion. The wine pairing of Bacchus and Silvaner was perfect. The price is very reasonable, and we'll definitely come back here for some excellent Franconian food. We came back as planned, and we were able to have dinner again today. The loin and the roast pork with dumplings were perfect and simply delicious. Once again, excellent service and a fair price. Very good!

We were here for lunch and had a table outside in the sun. The restaurant was very busy both inside and out, but the service was relaxed, courteous, and good. We had to wait a bit for the dishes, but that speaks volumes about the freshness of the preparation. The portions were generous and the dishes were good. Good, home-style cooking. Adequate for the price. We would come again.

The menu shows... yes, we are in Franconia, and the food reflects this in every respect. Hope it stays that way! We're from the Aschaffenburg district, and it's becoming increasingly rare to find a restaurant serving purely German regional cuisine. Top 👌

The food is very good, the service is extremely friendly. There were 3 of us there and all the food was very tasty. The service was very attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. We will happily go there again when we are in Bad Kissingen.

Food great price performance fits very friendly staff

We used to go to this restaurant very often. Unfortunately the previous owner died a few years ago and with him the usual quality. When the new owner took over the shop, everything was actually okay. Until the second visit. Eating (Schäufele) wasn't possible at all. This weekend I thought I would give the pub another chance. Mistakes, mistakes, mistakes...🙈 At twelve o'clock in the afternoon we were given hard, floury, warmed dumplings to make a tough roulade and on top of that the red cabbage was simply thrown onto the plate. Disgusting color and taste. When we asked the waitress about the warmed dumplings, she claimed that wasn't the case and more or less made us look stupid. To top it all off, she surprisingly brought us fresh dumplings after 30 seconds. Then we knew what we were worth in this shed. I can only offer them rotten goods. They're probably spa guests and won't be coming anymore anyway. Of course she is right, as we will definitely not visit this snack bar again. For the first time in my life, I DID NOT tip. Find a nice restaurant in Bad Kissingen with a trained chef and reasonably professional service. There is enough of that in Bad Kissingen, or just eat rotten food.

Went there for dinner today. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Had sauerbraten (probably a few days old) with red cabbage (too sour) and potato dumplings (still raw in the middle). Then piglet (crust too limp) with dumplings (also not cooked through in the middle). Due to the quick serving, it cannot be assumed that it was freshly prepared. Very unfortunate!!!

Ambience only four stars because we sat in the first room right next to the entrance door and it was terribly drafty. Otherwise everything was great!

We were finally back in Bad Kissingen after Corona and went to the post office for the first time. A cozy, rustic restaurant, all employees are friendly and competent. We were there three times and the food was always delicious. There is Lower Franconian cuisine, everything was delicious. We liked it there and we will come back there next time we are in Bad Kissingen.

Roast suckling pig was very tender, the crust wasn't crispy, the dumplings and the sauce were great, unfortunately there was hardly any vegetarian choice, the vegetarian vegetable curry is not recommended, the pumpkin was too hard, broccoli was completely overcooked, very low in spices. It's better to order the Franconian dishes here and, as a vegetarian option, just dumplings with sauce. The atmosphere is as authentically Franconian as it was 30 years ago. Service friendly.

Schlechteste halbe Ente die ich je hatte. Klöße und Soße waren gut. Das Blaukraut von den Gewürzen her nicht unbedingt mein Geschmack, aber trotzdem völlig ok. Aber die Ente konnte man kaum noch essen. Lediglich das Brustfleisch war noch weich genug um es vom Knochen zu lösen und mit reichlich Soße zu essen. Schenkel und Flügel waren so vertrocknet, dass man mit dem Besteck kaum noch durch die Haut kam oder das Fleisch vom Knochen lösen konnte. Als Entschuldigung haben wir einen Cappuccino bekommen. Eine leckere halbe Ente wäre mir lieber gewesen...

Worst half duck I've ever had. Dumplings and sauce were good. The red cabbage isn't necessarily my taste in terms of spices, but it's still completely ok. But you could hardly eat the duck anymore. Only the breast meat was still soft enough to be removed from the bone and eaten with plenty of sauce. The legs and wings were so dried out that it was difficult to get cutlery through the skin or remove the meat from the bone. As an apology, my wife got a cappuccino. I would have preferred a delicious half duck... For the sake of completeness. The children's schnitzels were ok. My wife had duck breast. It was overcooked, but at least not dried out. So that's still ok. The soups beforehand were very good.

I'm really disappointed. We've been here many times and this wasn't the first time I've eaten the wedding meal. Unfortunately this time it was inedible. Thought that I would pay a little less after the complaint. Wrong thought.

The oven-fresh Schäufele was not oven-fresh but the meat was dried out. The rind was not crispy but mushy, the sauce was sweet, the dumplings were great, the salad was 1.50 extra, the candle at the next table didn't burn. The cordon bleu dried on the edge, the fries were good but of the cheap variety (in addition to the normal fries, half a handful of leftover fried potatoes/fries). It's a shame, it's a cozy place.

Nice restaurant with a bit of 70s and 80s flair. Everything was very clean and well maintained, but basic facilities. Very friendly service and good home cooking. Something like that is still needed today as a counterpoint to all the Italians and chic shops. We felt very comfortable there!

Franconian delicacies, home-style preparation and garnished with fast, friendly staff. This is how you could briefly describe the post office in the city center of Bad Kissingen. However, you could also go into raptures, because there is hardly anything like it anymore. And even if the prices could be 1-2 euros cheaper (still okay for the location) it gets full marks. It's almost impressive that you can still find a place like this today where, in addition to the really tasty food, the staff also knows how to please. If you don't believe that, you should see for yourself as quickly as possible
