The Eiche was really a great restaurant, with super nice, funny service staff and very tasty food. Unfortunately, that has changed completely in the last few months. Everyone seems totally overwhelmed, is short and not particularly friendly. Unfortunately the food also turned out really bad. Either "burnt" or undercooked, poorly seasoned or very obviously not fresh. It's a shame, we won't eat any more. For the money you pay, you should be able to expect good, fresh food.

Good place to eat a simple roast pork again. When I ordered, I was warned that it might take a little longer because we had a party to cater for. I was all the more surprised that the beer (my favorite type of dark hefeweizen is also available!) was on the table straight away and the food was on the table after a few minutes. I would like to stop by again.

Food: The food was average. The schnitzels were not homemade but frozen goods. The bean “salad” was beans without anything, no dressing. They squeaked in their mouths. The fried potatoes were very fatty. The side salad was quite tasty. Service: The service was very friendly. Ambience: The dining room was still full of party supplies from the previous evening. There were two TVs showing football. A voice came regularly from a radio in the background. This voice gave the next orders and had nothing to do with the restaurant. That was very disturbing. For vegetarians there is a veggie burger (this was sold out), baked potato or fried potatoes.

Very attentive service. The food tasted very good and was more than adequately portioned. The steak was definitely not a convenience product and the fries could of course have been bought, but that's perfectly fine in my opinion. The colleague's fried potatoes were also very good and unfortunately there was no room for dessert. Whatever is left can be packed up if desired. If we ever come to the area again, we would stop by again.

I loved the sambal chicken schnitzel. Really very tasty, crispy and a large portion. Everyone will be full and happy 😉😋

Wir waren mit 5 Personen zum ersten Mal in der Eiche . Es war Spanferkelbufett angesagt. Das Spanferkel wurde mit ca. 30 Minuten Verspätung aufgebaut war aber soweit ok bis auf die Schwarte, die nicht kross war. 4 Personen hatten sich für Lachsfilet entschieden. Das kam, lieblos auf einem Teller drapiert, auf einem riesigen Berg trockener (ohne jegliche Sosse) zusammengepappter Bandnudeln, die auch noch über den Tllerrand heraushingen. Allerdings gab es eine Schale Remouladensosse, die die Nudeln ja nicht verbesserte. Das Essen war nur lauwarm und der Lachs trocken. Fazit: allgemeine große Enttäuschung.

We ordered schnitzel in the “Biergarten”. Schnitzel was delicious, the sauce was just slapped on it. Serving the sauce separately on the plate is more appropriate for this dish. And, the condition of the drinks, a little more friendliness is in order! We will forego the oak service in the future!

I was full of anticipation when I came across this restaurant online because I'm not from the area. To eat there was a cream of asparagus soup, unfortunately the consistency was like paste, the more you ate it, the more finished sweater pieces came to the top... there was also a wafer-thin slice of baguette that was unfortunately filled with cheese and garlic, which didn't go well with it at all. I ordered 500g of asparagus with boiled potatoes, ham and hollandaise. The asparagus was so hard that the table next door heard it crack when chewing.. the hollandaise tasted sour and the best thing at the end.... I have it on plastic Chewing it between the ham was a complete disaster!!! I would prefer to give 0 stars, plus I paid the full amount of 40 euros for everything!!!!!!!NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Very nice service, delicious food

We were there yesterday on a recommendation and unfortunately totally disappointed. I had ordered veal schnitzel with sambal sauce and croquettes, after a while I was informed that there was no longer any veal, so I chose pork. We then waited almost 1.5 hours for our food, the schnitzel was so thin that you could hardly see it under the sauce. The croquettes were greasy and very dark, as was the schnitzel, so I had to burp from the frying fat for the rest of the evening! It's a shame, unfortunately not recommended!

If you like long waiting times, 90 minutes from ordering to serving the food, dead fried frozen schnitzels, undercooked baked potatoes drowning in quark, dry burgers for which you have to order the sauce separately and greasy croquettes, then... is right here. It's a shame, we were promised more thanks to all the good reviews wherever they came from.

Overwhelmed on Mother's Day, less would certainly have been better for the guests and employees, the asparagus buffet was difficult, the asparagus was often woody, the dishes on the menu were not convincing despite the limited selection, they came after an hour and... Everything altogether disappointing.

Went there for the first time today at Pentecost... The service was very friendly but also a little slow. Ate mushroom cream schnitzel and burger, both unfortunately failed, very poorly seasoned. Not again!

We've been to the Oak several times and have always been happy, but today on Mother's Day we were disappointed. The asparagus buffet was good, but when from 2 p.m. there is only dessert upon request at both of the two buffets and no small spoons even though it goes until 3 p.m., I find it sad, especially since the price is not dirt cheap. For two of our group it was even worse because it took over an hour to get a 50/50 plate and a salad without meat (we asked twice), no real information or apology other than: It's very busy. The salad was also really expensive €12 for a few slices of cucumber, iceberg lettuce and tomato and 3 slices of white bread! We had the impression that too many reservations were accepted and people lost track. A pity!

Delicious, varied breakfast buffet on the weekend

There were 17 people who ate there for the buffet. Everything was delicious and it was always refilled. Service perfect. Always asked if everything was okay. The ambience is a journey through time. We liked it. Gladly again. I came there especially from North Rhine-Westphalia.

It was a lovely evening with colleagues. On the one hand, this was ensured by the good food and the rustic ambience.

Went there for a buffet at Easter. The food was cold and the beer was stale. The service did not respond to the complaints. A PITY

Are you looking for hearty food? Schnitzel, brawn with fried potatoes, matjes? Fits here! Nice boss, service anyway... a meeting place in Garbsen for sports clubs, politics and comedy. A conversation with the owner is always possible and the guests are still taken care of. It was a pleasure.

The service is super friendly. The food is plentiful and delicious. People like to come back there for dinner.

The quality of the meat was very good and tasty, although it was very darkly fried. The portions are large. We had to wait over an hour and unfortunately everything was served almost cold. When asked, excuses were made, someone else was to blame. What is professional is to ask for forgiveness and perhaps offer something. We also didn't want to send four meals back, let alone get microwaved ones. The fries were in the deep fryer for far too long. The salad was supposed to be served as a starter, but was requested when we were already eating. The large salad was served with 4 very large, massive pieces of bread. I have to eat gluten-free (celiac disease). The waitress didn't know what that was. Because of the noise in the room, I couldn't explain it either. I asked her to write down what she didn't do. The salad was then served to me with croutons. That's not possible because my health depends on it. But she was very friendly. The bare room was full, so the noise was almost unbearable. You could hardly have a conversation without screaming yourself. There are decorative soundproof wall panels. attached to a wall, that is often enough. It's a shame because the food was really good, unfortunately cold. Every menu must have a list of ingredients. Unfortunately that was missing.

Here at Marc you can eat very tasty food and drink in the oak tree every evening since Wednesday. I have to say everything is very tasty and the food is cult, Marc's lovely dog

May 2019: Simply good food and rustic atmosphere. The small beer garden in summer is great and you can watch football outside. Update fall 2023: For me, this restaurant is currently going through the transition from the first to the third league... It's a shame...

We ate goose breast and leg with red cabbage and dumplings. It was very delicious. The kale with Bregenwurst etc. is also highly recommended.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr lecker und reichhaltig.

Wir waren zu einer Trauerfeier hier. Problemlose Reservierung nach Absprache möglich. Separater Raum vorhanden. Es wurde angeboten Hochzeitssuppe, Schnittchen und dreierlei Blechkuchen. Dazu Kaffee und weitere Getränke. Nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Der Kaffee hätte allerdings etwas kräftiger sein können, war sehr magenfreundlich. Sonst alles top.

Gaststätte, wie man sie von früher kennt, schlicht, ohne viel Schnickschnack. Wir hatten die halbe Ente, die Gänsebrust, den Hirschbraten und das Pfeffersteak. Alle 4 Gerichte waren topp und jeder war begeistert von seinem Essen. Hier werden wir sicher nochmal essen.

Essen war sehr gut, Bedienung und Service zufriedenstellend.

Wir waren heute nach langer Zeit mal wieder in der Eiche. Meine Frau und ich hatten vom Buffet gegessen, mein Sohn hatte einen Hamburger und meine Schwiegereltern hatten Schnitzel und Wild. Wir Ware wirklich rundum zufrieden. Ich macht es super. Das Essen war spitze, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt bei Euch. Wir kommen bald wieder.

Frühstücksbrunch war lecker und alles was man braucht. Jederzeit wieder.

Das Restaurant bietet deutsche Küche an und es schmeckt sehr gut. Das Ambiente ist urig und es gibt für die Sportfans auch Fußballübertragungen. Wir hatten hier auch die Tauffeier eines unserer Kinder und für eine andere Feier das Catering von hier bestellt. Es lief alles bestens und unsere Gäste waren auf beiden Veranstaltungen begeistert 🙂 wir kommen immer wieder gerne vorbei

Reichhaltiges Essen freundliche Bedienung

Man hat ein bisschen das Gefühl, hier ist die Zeit stehen geblieben. Das macht das besondere Flair aus. Die Portionen sind riesig. Wer hier nicht satt wird, ist selbst schuld.

Sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man gerne deutsch isst. Das Essen war extrem lecker und die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Wir waren heute mit Freunden in diesem absolut tollen Lokal. Die Speisen waren alle sehr lecker und überzeugten vor allem mit selbstgemachten Soßen. Auch die Steaks, waren, wie gewünscht auf den Punkt gegart. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht zu toppen. Ebenso wie die freundliche Bedienung. Wir werden, wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Ich war heute mit meiner Freundin und Ihren Eltern dort essen. Das Ambiente auf der Terrasse war sehr schön und wir wurden aufmerksam und schnell bedient. Ich hatte einen Rindersaftbraten mit Rotkohl und Klößen und es war wie zu Weihnachten und bei Oma zugleich, es hat wirklich sehr sehr gut geschmeckt und die Portion war für den Preis Ordentlich! Gerne wieder und nur weiterzuempfehlen!

Wir hatten was bestellt zum Abholen! 3 von uns hatten ein Schnitzel (Kalb).Keins konnte man essen,da es sehr zäh war,kaum zu schneiden,das war sehr schade! Alle anderen Gerichte waren super!

In der Eiche gibt es gutbürgerliche Küche, die immer super schmeckt und gut zubereitet ist! Dazu passt die Atmosphäre perfekt zum Essen und wir werden immer freundlich empfangen! Für mich ist die Eiche zu jeder Zeit einen Besuch wert! Probieren würde ich immer die Schnitzel!

In diesem Gasthaus findet jeder seine leckeren Speisen. Die Preise sind sehr volkstümlich und die Mengen sehr ausreichend. Im Saal kann man gut feiern oder auch ab und an Comedy erleben. Sehr schön ist bei guten Temperaturen auch der Biergarten hinter dem Haus

Ja, nach all den überteuerten und auf schick gemachten Restaurants ist die Eiche im klassischen Stil einer deutschen Kneipe mit Restaurant. Das Essen erreicht wirklich 5/5 Punkten. Die Portionsgröße und die Preise sind ein Traum. Karte rauf und runter...alles voll zu empfehlen. Wer es hier nicht mag...mag auch sonst nix. Wer schick essen gehen will...ist hier falsch. Wer sehr sehr lecker essen gehen will....ist hier absolut richtig. Dazu gibt es tolle Bedienungen, die nicht nur einmal zur Bestellung kommen, sondern immer wieder

Wir sind zu 5. essen gegangen, nur einer war zufrieden. Weder wurde bei Steaks gefragt, wie man sie möchte, noch kamen sie dann wie gewünscht! Auch die anderen Speisen waren schlechter Durchschnitt.

Ist zwar schon ein bisschen her dass wir dort essen waren, aber es blieb in guter Erinnerung. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, leckeres Essen und eine gute Auswahl an Speisen. Freundliches Personal und die Wartezeit hielt sich auch in Grenzen. Empfehlenswert.

German food is always good and this place makes great German dishes. I go to Germany at least twice a year and this place ranks up there with the best. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and large potions.
