Gaststätte "Zum Viva" in Köln

A really nice place, well furnished, very refined. The food is very tasty. The service is fast and up to the mark. Absolutely worth trying

A really senile, rude, old woman served us. We are 9 Asian people and she wants us all to order the same thing because it would be easier for the kitchen, e.g. Schnitzel. (???) That wasn't ok for us. We each ordered something different, whereupon she got really angry, with every order she had to complain about something under her breath, sometimes we waited for half a minute until she finished complaining. We weren't allowed to order anything to drink when we ordered food because apparently the food had to be sent to the kitchen first. I can't understand why she works as a waitress. What she's doing is absolutely not right. I don't know if it's always like that or because we look Asian and don't speak perfect German. Racism at CSD? Who knows.

The chef is hereby named a 5 star chef. (Super incredibly delicious food) Edit: Unfortunately, the Schützenhof no longer exists, there is now a Chinese restaurant there that also serves exceptionally delicious food.

Excellent schnitzel with fried mushrooms and fried potatoes, delicious Gaffel Kölsch, quick service, even now carnival music :-) Addendum from October 29th: Today we had really good spare ribs with homemade potato wedges and coleslaw. And carnival music again, but good ones!
