Essen war sehr lecker und man musste nicht lange drauf warten. Bruschetta und der gemischte Salat ist zu empfehlen! Bedienung war freundlich und man wurde schnell bedient. Gerne wieder

Eigentlich müssten die Schnitzel perfekt sein, da es fast nur Schnitzel auf der Karte gibt. Leider war das nicht der Fall. Das Schnitzel und der Beilagensalat waren sehr klein, ein Mann wäre davon nicht satt geworden. Die Panade war mehlig und pampig. Sie ist auf dem Teller kleben geblieben. Ich werde zum Schnitzel essen dort nicht mehr hin fahren. Der Service war nett und freundlich.

Waren heute das erste Mal während einer Fahrradtour da, sehr schönes Lokal und Terrasse zum draußen sitzen. Obwohl es sehr gut besucht war, ging alles recht flott. Essen war super, Bedienung sehr freundlich und preislich top. Absolute Weiterempfehlung 👍

Ich war gestern Mittag mit meiner Frau dort essen. Leider war der Aufenthalt alles andere als angenehm. Da draußen kein Tisch frei war, mussten wir drinnen sitzen. Dort herrschte eine katastrophale Stimmung. Das Personal hat sich lautstark angegangen und das immer wieder. Service, sowie Küche war so laut, dass wir jedes Wort hören konnten. Es wurden Beschwerden und Vorwürfe quer durch den Gastraum ausgetauscht. So etwas hat vor Gästen nichts zu suchen. Man fühlt sich als Gast einfach unwohl. Außerdem finde ich, dass Personal insgesamt könnte etwas freundlicher sein.

Wir waren gestern im Seeblick und leider insgesamt ziemlich enttäuscht. Schon bei der Ankunft fragten wir nach einem Kinderstuhl. Die Antwort war lediglich: „Jo, könnt ihr euch vorne im Flur selbst holen.“ Das wirkte wenig freundlich und nicht besonders serviceorientiert. Anschließend wollten wir für unser Kind einen Kakao und für uns Kaffee bestellen. Uns wurde gesagt, dass keine Milch mehr da sei, weil in den letzten Tagen so viel los gewesen wäre. Etwa fünf Minuten später bestellte der Tisch neben uns allerdings Cappuccino und Kakao – offenbar war also doch Milch vorhanden. Das hat bei uns für großes Unverständnis gesorgt. Auch bei den weiteren Bestellungen gab es Probleme: Mehrere Getränke und Waffelvarianten waren nicht verfügbar, sodass wir uns mehrfach umentscheiden mussten. Die Waffel mit heißen Kirschen war leider komplett kalt. Die Waffel mit „Nutella“ war offenbar nicht mit original Nutella zubereitet – grundsätzlich kein Drama, aber wenn es so auf der Karte steht, erwartet man auch das entsprechende Produkt. Bei der Waffel mit Kinderriegel war leider nicht einmal ein kompletter halber Kinderriegel auf der Waffel. Insgesamt war die Waffel einfach nur eine trockene Waffel, und dafür fanden wir den Preis deutlich zu hoch. Besonders ärgerlich war außerdem die Wartezeit: Unsere Getränke kamen erst nach etwa 40 Minuten, als wir mit den Waffeln schon fast fertig waren. Gerade weil ein Restaurant neu eröffnet hat, sollte der Anspruch an Service, Qualität und Organisation besonders hoch sein. Einen „schlechten Tag“ kann man natürlich immer haben, aber gerade in der Anfangsphase sollte der erste Eindruck stimmen. So wie es gestern gelaufen ist, würden wir leider nicht wiederkommen.

Das war unser erster Besuch seit dem Pächterwechsel und wir waren rundum zufrieden. Wir haben jeweils eine Hauptspeise und einen Nachtisch bestellt – alles war sehr lecker. Der Service war freundlich und wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder. Klare Empfehlung!

Neuer Besitzer komisch, beläs… die jungen Kellnerinnen. Esse schmeckt gor net. Besuch lohnt nicht ned, geht lieber McDonald’s

Leider war unser Besuch sehr enttäuschend. Wir mussten etwa 30 Minuten warten, bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden, und unseren Sitznachbarn ging es genauso. Das Personal war zudem sehr unfreundlich, chaotisch und wirkte überhaupt nicht professionell. Es wurden nur Leute eingestellt die keine Ahnung vom Kellnern haben, wodurch man sich als Gast alles andere als willkommen gefühlt hat. Außerdem waren der Gastraum und die Toiletten leider nicht sauber. Ich kannte noch das frühere Team. Damals waren alle deutlich freundlicher, aufmerksamer und der Service insgesamt wesentlich besser. Sehr schade, wie sich der Laden entwickelt hat.

Eindrucksvolle Lage mit Blick auf Berge und den Stausee. Sehr leckeres Essen zu einem angemessenen Preis. Service verlor auch in der Stresssituation nicht den Humor.

Wir waren heute Mittag im Seeblick in Breidenstein und waren rundum sehr zufrieden. Die Lage ist einfach wunderschön – mit einem tollem Blick auf den See. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die gesamte Atmosphäre hat zum Wohlfühlen eingeladen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich auch den freundlichen Service: Alle Bedienungen waren ausgesprochen nett, aufmerksam und wir wurden schnell bedient. Insgesamt hat einfach alles gepasst. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können den Seeblick uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Ich würde es jedem immer wieder empfehlen. Der Blick, das Essen & das Personal haben mich absolut überzeugt wiederzukommen!

Neueröffnung! Wie gewohnt ein sehr schönes Ambiente . Unsere Anmerkung : Gäste werden getrennt, nach wer Essen möchte und wer nur was trinken möchte, fanden wir nicht in so toll. Portionen für einen Mann eher klein, aber sehr lecker. Der Beilagensalat wurde vergessen, aber bei Reklamation ein Getränk umsonst bekommen, sehr freundlich von dem junge Mann, welcher unserem Hund auch sofort Wasser gebracht hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder…

Traumhafte Location! Klasse Service und excellentes Essen! Seit Wiedereröffnung neue Energie und toller moderner Vibe! Tut der Gegend auf jeden fall gut und wäre eine traumhafte Location für Private Feiern, Firmen Events oder auch Seminare etc. Kann es von ganzem Herzen empfehlen!! :)

Of course, you should make a reservation here: I wasn't expecting the menu to be so expensive. Everything has gotten more expensive, yes, but unlike other day-trip restaurants, the pricing policy, at least regarding the food, can be described as "fair." This is all the more true given that the current chef clearly knows his craft. The plates being carried past for others already made me suspect that this was the right place. I've had to eat far worse, and I was unprepared for this taste experience. Chapeau! Absolutely fantastic!

No, simply a big no! Staff are unfriendly and tend to overcharge to get tips! Vegetarian food isn't recommended, and everything is generally very expensive. The ambiance is the only nice thing about this place. Toilet paper is lying on the trash can, and the sink and soap dispenser are broken. Everything seems a bit run-down, and you don't get the feeling they're trying to make money. Not recommended!!! A real shame, because it's actually very nice by the lake!

No!!! Very rude!!! We weren't served outside. Only the left side was served. There were hardly any customers there. Four tables in the sun were occupied, but the shaded areas were free (too cold to sit). There were still sunny spots available on the right side where we wanted to sit. We offered to get our own coffee at the counter. That, too, was refused!!! I've heard similar things from many people. It's a shame, you can scare customers away forever.

We celebrated our 15th high school reunion with about 25-30 people at the "Seeblick" restaurant. The planning beforehand was good, and we made arrangements directly with the manager. Among other things, we had agreed that we could stay until midnight if we wanted. I was supposed to conduct a survey beforehand to determine how many guests would stay that long, which was difficult without a messenger group. Nevertheless, I was assured that it would be "no problem" to stay open until midnight. Unfortunately, the implementation that evening did not correspond to the agreements: Vegetarian options: It was planned that vegetarians could choose a dish from the menu and still have salad and dessert from the buffet, while the corresponding buffet dishes would be removed. This was not implemented that evening, which led to confusion. Vegan dessert: The dessert was supposed to be vegan. However, when we asked, we were told that it contained dairy products. Accounting system: Beer mats and pens for self-checking seemed practical at first, but ultimately led to outstanding items. One person had to pay for drinks they hadn't consumed to avoid arguments. Service and communication: Shortly before 10 p.m., we were informed that we couldn't stay any longer because it hadn't been agreed upon. The manner of communication seemed unprofessional. In fact, we had to leave at 10:30 p.m. – very unfortunate for a group of this size. Handling criticism: When paying the bill, I openly addressed the discrepancies. Unfortunately, this was dismissed with statements like "That was your mistake" or "That wasn't agreed upon." The manager, with whom I had discussed all the details beforehand, didn't introduce herself in person the entire evening. Conclusion: The location is undoubtedly beautiful, the food was decent, but the price was not convincing. Overall, the evening was marred by broken agreements, chaotic organization, and unprofessional communication. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the restaurant for group celebrations. I hope that the feedback is taken seriously and that future guests can have a better experience.

Great location on the lake, friendly service, reasonable prices, and good food. However, on a Saturday afternoon with great weather, only one server was simply not acceptable. Luckily, she was quick and had a lot of patience, unlike some guests, and was still friendly.

The food is really good, the service could definitely be improved; it's barely attentive. There's no point in taking a smoke break during normal business hours; you can smell it. The overall atmosphere is a bit dirty.

Service: The lady behind the counter loudly scolded the staff, and the service was unfortunately not very service-oriented. It's a shame. It used to be so good.

We asked if we could just have a drink outside and then sat down on the terrace. From that point on, the waiters consistently ignored us, even though there were only three other tables occupied. The waiters walked past us several times, but we didn't even get a menu, even after waiting 20 minutes. According to other reviews, this wasn't an isolated incident... I wouldn't recommend anyone come here.

A beautifully located restaurant with a lake view. A terrace is available when the weather is nice. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is very good and tasty.

Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The price-performance ratio, in my opinion, was not good at all. We had apple strudel and iced coffee, and none of us were particularly satisfied. We had to tell two waiters that we were missing a drink before it came after 25 minutes. Two waiters also told us we would like to pay, but unfortunately, no one came. We then went inside to pay. I would understand if there was a severe staff shortage, but they were well staffed. The café/restaurant is fortunate to be in such a beautiful location.

The service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was very nice. The burgers are good. However, the mushroom schnitzel wasn't a mushroom schnitzel for me, and the sauce wasn't that tasty—disappointing for the price; you expect more.

Ordered coffee twice, and twice the milk was bad. Too bad I didn't drink it or didn't accommodate. Okay, I didn't order either. I was thirsty too.

The service was a disaster. Three tables that arrived after us were served before us. We ordered two waffles with coffee and only got one. The waffle tasted very good, and we only had to pay for one coffee, but we were still very disappointed.

We were there for lunch, and the food was excellent. I had a schnitzel with paprika sauce and fries. The schnitzel was fried to a nice golden brown, and the paprika sauce was slightly spicy, just right for my taste. The service was very attentive, and everything went quickly. I highly recommend stopping there on a bike ride, or going for a meal and taking a walk to help digest your meal. One final note: we were there in rainy weather and sat inside. When the weather is nice, there are also tables outside with a lovely view of the lake and the countryside.

The place is beautifully situated on the reservoir. But the tone of the manager—I assume that's true, since the other staff were mostly trainees or temporary workers—takes a lot of getting used to and doesn't do a good job of advertising the location.

This afternoon, I had arranged to meet a friend there for dinner. The weather was nice, but there were still plenty of free tables. Our menus were brought to our table quickly, but it wasn't until half an hour later that an employee (I suspect a temporary worker or trainee) came to tell us that no orders would be accepted for the next half hour. I would have preferred to leave immediately, but we decided to wait. We asked if we could still order. He had to ask again. No, it wouldn't be possible. I then asked if we could at least get a drink, which he brought. After about 15 minutes, a young waitress came and asked if we wanted something to eat, as it was now possible again. She explained to us that if the kitchen was too busy, they would pause orders. So, it took us an hour to get our food. I chose a baked potato with herb quark and salmon. I was expecting some oven-baked salmon, but it was just smoked salmon. The salad only had a little oil on it. I don't think €16.50 is appropriate for that. My friend had potato wedges with quark and salad. The potato wedges looked nice and crispy. Overall, though, waiting an hour for such a simple meal is definitely too long. With the lakeside setting, you have to expect a lot of guests in weather like this and be well prepared. I don't need that again. I'd give it 5 stars for the setting, but those are for the view of the lake.

Update from July 20, 2025: After about three years, we stopped by the Perfstausee reservoir. Unfortunately, a lot of what was good back then has changed. The ambiance still retains its charm and invites you to linger. The coffee and cake we ordered was also good, although the prices have gone up a bit – it's a good destination for a day trip. The service, however, needs to be massively improved. We first sat at the "self-service table" and wanted to order the aforementioned dishes. The waiter's response was, "I'm not on shift for another ten minutes." We were ignored by the other waiters, who were constantly busy due to stress – okay, I know stress too, but you can't exhibit that behavior if you want to make money. Finally, we caught a glimpse of a free spot on the terrace. We were quickly given the menu and were able to order quickly. Afterward, we had to wait, and after asking several times, we finally got everything. In short: The service was uncoordinated and not particularly professional. My recommendation: It's better to walk into town and find a suitable restaurant there. --------- Lovely restaurant on the Perfstausee with delicious food and friendly service. The view from the terrace is simply inviting, and the price/performance ratio is fair. So, it's worth it.

We were at this restaurant on Saturday afternoon. The service staff were a disaster. After waiting about five minutes, I asked for a menu. Three staff members were standing at the counter. I received a rude reply: "They're taking a five-minute break, which is allowed, but then they shouldn't stand next to the counter and look around." The food wasn't good for the price. The dining room is also poorly maintained; there are cobwebs everywhere, the table was dirty, etc. We will definitely not recommend it.

We stopped there for something to eat after a walk. Service was good. The waitress was very friendly. The food arrived quite quickly. They weren't squeamish about the wine either. It was even a bit fuller than 0.2 litres. The food itself was good. Only the sauce for the mushroom schnitzel wasn't good. It was thick and sticky. Maybe they should change the recipe a bit. Otherwise, I can recommend this restaurant. The food itself was good.

The owners should fire the restaurant manager! She has no clue what's going on, coordinates poorly, and hires unqualified friends/acquaintances and staff. Customer focus is a foreign concept to her, and that's how it's conveyed to the service staff. The restaurant could be a gold mine with qualified management, don't the owners notice that?! 🤔

First of all, I have to say that the food is very good. However, the service is more than questionable. We had made a reservation with a large group weeks in advance and when we arrived, half of our tables were taken. Only after asking several times were we given the reason that some people had sat at our table and asked if it was reserved for us. Another group had simply stayed longer. Very unprofessional! You have to react to that?! And tell the group that a reservation is already made. A restaurant has to be able to deal with situations like this in advance. We ended up standing in the middle of the path for ages with at least 15 people. We had just finished a long hike, so of course you're looking forward to reaching your destination. On top of that, the staff were very uncooperative and unfriendly. Unfortunately, the beer didn't taste particularly good either. A real shame, especially because the location and ambience are fantastic and you should definitely support restaurants like this.

We were dissatisfied with the staff's service. Their behavior was criticized. We waited 10-15 minutes to pick up our order. There was even one case where we went to the bar ourselves and told them what we wanted to order each time. And in general, the restaurant is very dirty and unhygienic. The glasses used to serve food are stained, there are cobwebs everywhere, and there are cockroaches everywhere. I was disappointed with this restaurant. I do not recommend it.

What a nice place! Next to a small lake, nice terrace or you can sit inside. We had currywurst and flammkuche and both were delicious. Nice cheerful service 😀

It's enough for a cup of coffee on the terrace. We didn't try the coffee, though. My daughters had tarte flambée, and it was delicious. My husband had schnitzel with cream, which tasted okay. I had schnitzel with onions and bacon. The onions weren't fried long enough and had no flavor. The bacon was diced very finely (a little larger than a grain of rice pudding) and a bit bland. Both schnitzels were rather small and lukewarm. The fries were okay, but not enough. Conclusion: The price is overpriced for such small portions. A schnitzel menu costs around €16, and a glass of Coke (500ml) costs just under €7. My recommendation: Pack a picnic and sit by the water and enjoy delicious food from home. Saves a lot of money and hassle.

Very nice location! Unique for the hinterland. Welcoming and well-kept. Great lakeside terrace. To eat: beautifully presented on the plate. I have to say it! 😍 About the quality: fries delicious! Schnitzel was pretty tough! And salad nicely presented but unfortunately with quite a lot of sunflower oil. Olive oil would definitely be the tastier option and therefore I would give more points for better meat and olive oil. So... I don't want to break anything... Just a few constructive suggestions for improvement. 😉 Service: All the girls are very nice and hardworking. Only in terms of appearance, because you are in the service and on the "presentation plate" of the restaurant, I would pay more attention to looking a little more well-groomed! Like I said... No offense! Just little tips! 🙏

Absolutely no go. We went there with our children after a walk with the ambition of buying coffee and cake. Part of the terrace was cordoned off. A waitress told a mother and child this in an absolutely outrageous way in front of the guests. When she said that this could have been communicated in a more friendly manner, the waitress' response was that she was just stressed. Absolute no go to treat customers like that and justifying the service is rubbish. The mother left the restaurant, rightly so. We ordered 4 drinks and 4 meals. 2 cakes, 1 waffle, 1 ice cream. 'After 1:20 hours we went in to pay. Nobody cared that our food didn't come. No apology or anything like that. Next time we'll look for a suitable restaurant. Waiters are difficult to find, but such behavior does not justify a lack of staff.

We were there for dinner with four people on a Saturday evening. The restaurant wasn't busy, there were maybe 2-3 other tables occupied. We had to wait over half an hour before we even got the menu, let alone something to drink, etc. When the food was at the table, one of the meals was delivered incorrectly. Unfortunately, the food was only lukewarm and average in terms of taste. There were three of the service staff on site, very unfriendly and sat at a table and talked to each other and looked at their cell phones instead of serving the guests in the restaurant. Unfortunately, all in all not recommended.

The unfriendly service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. Passive aggressive comments when ordering, eternal waiting time until someone came, the owners should replace the staff as quickly as possible.

When you're there, it's always nice, tasty and a good atmosphere, but it's happened several times now that we were there at normal times (7:15 p.m., 7:30 p.m.) but the kitchen was already closed the closing times were pushed forward significantly. Annoying when you assume that the times communicated online and on site are the correct ones.

We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary in the Seestübchen. In consultation we were able to choose from the entire menu. We then communicated the desired dishes a few days before our celebration. We thought that was great. The food was very tasty 😋 Everything was served so that we could almost eat together👍🏻 We had nothing to complain about. Very friendly staff ☺️ It was a successful celebration all around 😍 Thank you for that 🙏🏻 Would love to come back.

The view is beautiful, unfortunately that was it. We were there with 10 people, sat down and were sent away again, supposedly everything was reserved. There were at least 10 tables free at this point. I don't want to say that this is due to our origins, but the looks when entering the restaurant spoke for themselves. Even after we said we just wanted a drink and the kids an ice cream. This was also denied. It's a real shame. They could have at least offered a Too Go option

We were led to believe that we would be able to eat some lunch until we were served our drinks. Then we were told that 20 people were coming and we couldn't eat. (Another couple got the same information and left straight away) When we paid for the two drinks to leave, we were told off: You would have gotten something to eat, it would just have taken a while. ... Impossible ... We have been to Seeblick several times in recent years and have always been tolerant, if the order didn't work out right away. But that doesn't work at all. - We were able to have a very good lunch in the “Neue Krone” in Biedenkopf.

Oh dear, the schnitzels you see in the pictures have nothing to do with the ones we got. •The sauce is thick, soggy and not really warm. •The schnitzel had nothing to do with a freshly fried schnitzel. •The salad was fresh, but way too sour. •Only the fries were very good and fried in fresh fat. •Everything inside seemed a bit dingy and unloving, the staff were more than vocal about their dissatisfaction and due to the lack of background music it was impossible to ignore. At least the service staff was very friendly towards us and didn't show any dissatisfaction. We think there was no qualified person in the kitchen. Conclusion: We won't be coming back!!

My daughter just wanted a glass of water...not possible without a reservation...very sad and inflexible...

The ambience is actually very nice. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and the staff don't match that at all. We were there with a group. The schnitzels were partially burnt. They were taken back, but so were the newly served schnitzels. The service staff reacted quite rudely to the criticism. Which wasn't the first faux pas. There was no cutlery available for the mushrooms that had been served in advance. A corresponding note was ironed out and the cutlery was only brought a few minutes later. Drink orders also took quite a long time. In general, the service staff was very unfriendly and you didn't feel welcome, especially since the payment was suddenly made 45 minutes before closing. All in all, despite the great ambience, not recommended.

A beautiful restaurant in a great location and ambience, where we have visited very often for many years. The food was very good, but the service staff had no interest and preferred to crochet in the middle of the restaurant and wasn't friendly either. We have never experienced such “service” there. Unfortunately it wasn't very hospitable. Too bad

Unfortunately we came there today and although it says everywhere that today is open and schnitzel day, the lights were on, no one was there. Not good info. So 0 points

It's nice to sit on the outdoor seats with a view of the Perfstausee. Unfortunately the service is a disaster. You can count yourself lucky when you finally get served. Many guests who came after us were served long before us! Only when we made our presence known did the service finally arrive after a wait of over half an hour. By the way, this has happened to us here for the second time! ☹️There won't be a third time here. Even if staff is scarce, the staff should have some training to recognize which guests have been waiting for a long time!

We sat down and without a comment we were ignored for over half an hour. I then spoke to a waitress who came to us and finally took the order.

We have been visiting the facility for over a dozen years. It's nice and nice. Nice view of the lake and surrounding mountains. Very good coffee! Of course there are dinner dishes and some good beers. I recommend !

The environment is very beautiful and relaxing. The food is delicious when you finally get some. The service is very poor and you always wait a long time. Even for drinks you have to wait at least 20 minutes, even though there isn't much going on.

The food was very tasty. Service unfortunately unreliable, long waiting times even though the restaurant wasn't full.

The sundae was huge and tasted good. The service was very friendly.

A joke!!! The first time we wanted to have a lunch buffet. Arrived at 12.15. The buffet was empty except for 2 dried-out slices of meat and some salad. After waiting 1 hour for the refill that was promised to us, we left. We had to pay the full buffet price for this. We don't have it after a long discussion. Last week we wanted to see if anything had changed! Unfortunately not!!!!! Drinking was relatively quick, but after 45 minutes we still hadn't been able to order even though the waitress walked past us three times. Even now we left without food. When we paid, the waitress came over and said she was about to come to our table.
