Unfortunately, we (a group of 7 for our Christmas party) went home hungry. The portions had shrunk alarmingly, which was very disappointing. The taste, however, was as good and delicious as ever.

I found the atmosphere extremely cozy, although some visitors might perceive it as a bit cramped. The staff is very attentive and, in my experience, actively inquires about the well-being of the guests. The food fully lives up to the advertising and tastes thoroughly satisfying.

What can I say, it was a fantastic experience! From the location to the service and the food, everything was simply perfect – in my opinion. We lacked nothing, and every single member of staff had a wonderful sense of humor. My friends and I will definitely be back!

Last Saturday evening, a group of 26 of us visited the Schwarze Schaf (Black Sheep) restaurant in Weidenau. We were all delighted with the service. All 26 of us didn't have to wait long for our drinks, and we were all able to eat at the same time. Every dish was delicious and definitely recommended. The atmosphere was very inviting. Hospitality is clearly a top priority there! We'll gladly come back. Keep up the good work!

The Black Sheep is absolutely fantastic!! I was there with four people and everyone loved it. The ambiance is charming, the food was delicious, all our requests were accommodated, and the prices are very fair. The service is especially excellent; the team is very organized and regularly checks if anyone needs anything. They are incredibly attentive and friendly. It was also a lovely gesture when the lady who served us even went out of her way to say goodbye after her shift ended. I wanted to tip her, but she said I could do it later when we paid, as it would be divided fairly among everyone anyway. That really speaks volumes about the great atmosphere there. So, my friends and I will definitely be back.

I went there for the second time today. The first time was great, but the second time the service was very unfriendly; they rolled their eyes when I asked about it, and the food was terrible. I ordered several different schnitzels, and the only one I got without sauce was the "Krüstchen" (a type of schnitzel with a crispy crust) with a tiny egg on top, making it obvious that the meat was low quality. The vegetarian schnitzel was pre-made frozen food, the fries were soggy, and the salad was stale. That's it, never again. It's one of those places that keeps raising prices while the quality declines. Others have tried it too, but most of those places are gone now.

You should reserve a table in advance before you get stuck. The staff was very friendly and nice. We had a special table in a booth because of our dog, which I thought was great. I also think it's great that it's not a problem if you come with a dog. Our dog was immediately given a water bowl without us having to say anything, which is amazing. The food was very tasty and filling. What I didn't like was that there were a lot of fries underneath the schnitzel, which made it soggy. But otherwise, the service was very quick and simply friendly. I would definitely recommend it!

What else can I say other than "simply fantastic"? The menu is absolutely extensive, with something for every taste. The schnitzels are fantastic, and the portions are generous. It doesn't just look delicious, it is delicious. The ambiance ranges from rustic to modern, and the music selection is top-notch. I highly recommend everyone from the Siegen area and surrounding areas to eat here at least once in their life. The next time I'm in this part of Germany, I'll definitely visit the Schaf again. I'd love to give it six stars instead of five, but I'm attaching a photo of my Jägerart schnitzel. You should definitely get moving and come here by now 😉

Very nice and clean place. We went there for a work function as a group of 7. Staff are friendly, food is great. Atmosphere is great inside as it feels like you're in a log cabin. The photos are great too, if you love looking at sheep.

We were there with our dog, Toni. Toni's service was immediate, with fresh water and cuddles. We were also served very quickly and friendly. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous, so you'll be filling. We had a very positive experience...we'll be back. 👌

I always enjoyed going there for the delicious potato gratin. Unfortunately, I was disappointed on my last visit. Otherwise, great service and a great atmosphere, including a beer garden. I'll definitely try again. 👍😀

Hello, I'd like to share my experience ordering food from this restaurant for a large celebration. Unfortunately, the Jägersause was the best of the three I ordered. And the schnitzels I ordered were too small... I would recommend everyone to only eat at the restaurant, because I have nothing to complain about.

The quality and service have declined significantly recently. Today, our side dishes were swapped (person A had person B's side dishes and vice versa). We were offered to take the plates back and reorder them. We declined and rearranged them ourselves. The final straw, however, was that when I paid, they insisted I pay the extra for the side dishes that weren't on my plate.

If you love schnitzel, this is the place for you. The service is friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately, it's just convenience food and nothing special. The food, unfortunately, is simply nothing special. Maybe okay for sitting there and drinking a beer, but I'm not a big fan of the place. When I was there, there were a lot of young people there, students, etc. The service was also very young and not so sharp that day. They advertise it with the words XXL, etc., but it's not really XXL or anything like that. The crust was simply deep-fried; unfortunately, I don't like it when they claim to be a big fan of schnitzel and then get something like that. When I cut it open, a huge pool of fat oozed out of the schnitzel. Price/performance just isn't right for convenience food. Not bad, not good, just okay

It was my first time in the black sheep, but definitely not the last time. The service was super friendly and quick. After our drinks, a bowl for the dog came almost immediately, which I found very thoughtful. Our wish to get a table in the corner so that it wouldn't bother anyone was implemented very well. The selection of food and drinks leaves nothing to be desired. The vegetable schnitzel was very tasty. Only the brownie is more of a chocolate soufflé, but it was very well prepared and was simply a dream. But that's complaining at a high level. I think I'll have to try a few more things on the menu. 🤤

Today I would like to tell you about my experiences that I had in the restaurant “Schwarzes Schaf”. There are sufficient free parking spaces in the surrounding area. The ambience is modern and rustic but very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is of good quality, the meat was cooked to perfection, and the portions are good. So all in all a positive experience, everything went well.

What is there to complain about here? Nothing! An absolute recommendation. We ate our way through the schnitzel menu here - the meat was consistently soft and well breaded. All of the sauces are recommended. It's best to take the “Schnitzel Duo” - Here you can order two sauces on one schnitzel and can therefore try more. The side dishes are also good - the fries are fried until crispy and the side salad is cut into bite-sized pieces and served with delicious dressings. The selection of drinks is large - there are also “special” drink variations, such as cherry-wheat. The service is very courteous, fast and humorous. The prices are reasonable for today's conditions. The atmosphere is very inviting. In summer you can sit outdoors in a well-kept beer garden and in winter you can feel warm and cozy in a special “ski hut atmosphere”. Any time!

Food very tasty, Service attentive and quick. What doesn't work at all is the less than friendly demeanor of the owner and one of his employees. About 2 weeks ago I was able to see how insensitive and friendly the owner was when dealing with his guests. I have never been to this restaurant before and after the event I will clearly refrain from ever wanting to be a guest there again.

The food tastes very high quality and good. The service was always polite. The atmosphere was decorated for Christmas. But I also felt very comfortable in this restaurant the times I was here before. I always enjoy coming back. :) For dinner I had Siegerländer Krüstchen. The dish is definitely a recommendation from my side.

We were in a group of 6 people in the winter garden... Way too many people there in December. There were 3 or 4 groups in the winter garden. Ambience not comfortable at all. Service was also very hectic...Food was good...But no reason to go there...French fries were limp...Schnitzels were good...Sauce was poor...Salad was poor...

Always good, here you get friendly and quick service, you get very full and it just tastes good. There is a star deduction for the beer selection, here you could like to think outside the box when it comes to Schadeberg products.

There were four of us in the black sheep today. The service was very friendly!!!!Food came very quickly. I was really looking forward to the food because of the many positive reviews. We had burgers, Hawaiian schnitzel and grill plate No.2. It tasted okay, but it wasn't anything special. A lot of ready-made stuff, which you definitely tasted. Fried potatoes were dripping with fat, the meat was unfortunately completely dry and fried to death and overall all the dishes were very tasteless. However, the fries were very tasty and crispy. Unfortunately, in our opinion, the price/performance ratio is not justified. There should have been more taste. Very unfortunate. As I said, it was ok, you could definitely eat it, but if I eat for a certain price, I expect the food to be of good quality and delicious.

Fortunately, the old flair was retained after the reopening. And the portions are still large and delicious. We are very satisfied!

A very good restaurant that focuses on serving schnitzel in different variations. The staff is very friendly. The price is reasonable for the size of the portions. There is a separate map for children, which can also be colored in during your stay.

Two stars because the service was on the ball and the drinks were refilled quickly. For me the only positive thing. The food is like a french fries shop, frozen goods, fried, 0 taste. The lamb was overcooked, salad dressing from the bottle [ready yogurt sauce]. The ribs tasted like fatty minced meat. For the peppery prices I would have expected more quality, so I would have preferred to save on the portions. It's a shame, I'm really disappointed, the store was recommended by so many people...
