Gaststätte Rübezahl in Gera

A very nice and good restaurant, the service was very pleasant, the food was well served with a side dish, a large range of half-Czech dishes, the only thing I would complain about is the "traditional Czech kofola" which presents itself as the real one, but it's actually not what I know as a Czech kofola. but this was some cola syrup diluted 3x with water, no bubbles yet so it just wasn't the same. Otherwise, I recommend going.

Today the two of us were at Rübezahl for the first time. Very nicely decorated restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food at affordable prices! We'll definitely be back!

If you travel to Gera, you should definitely visit this restaurant. The food is very tasty and also plentiful. You will be served very nicely. And if you have an extra request, it will be implemented immediately. The staff and the owner are very nice and accommodating.

Very nice service. Food tasted very good and was prepared quickly. Maybe the portion is a little small. But the dessert made up for it.

We celebrated class reunions there, it was great. The ambience is very appealing. And our waitress, Ines, conveyed everything professionally with a lot of humor. The food was also exactly my thing, which means it was very tasty.

Despite being fully booked, we were able to have dinner there. Very nice service and first-class food in filling portions.

Rübezahl - number one in Gera!!!!!

We have been pleasantly surprised since the reopening and have been very friendly, even towards our four-legged friends. Food was great, so great that we treated ourselves to a waffle for dessert. If you're there, treat yourself to the waffle. Staff very friendly, short waiting times and respond to requests. I feel very comfortable, the atmosphere is also very nice. Always my pleasure.

Not the oak-brutal that the name actually suggests, instead it's nice and light despite lots of wood and still very comfortable. Roast pork was tender and juicy, even the Bohemian bread dumplings were good (I usually hate those things...)

We were there at short notice for lunch today. Today we had boiled beef as well as dumplings and sauce. Sensationally good… Greetings to the kitchen and the service was quick and friendly. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious and I was full too! And the service was attentive and nice.

Waiting time is very long without notice, it takes a long time today because.....would be desirable, especially if you are traveling with children. We didn't particularly like the food (but as we all know, tastes are different) and the food could have been warmer. Side dishes are not included in most dishes and must be ordered separately. It was nothing for us.

Super pretty retro restaurant. We didn't have a reservation and were still warmly welcomed. Super nice service. The menu is small and quite clear, but the food is freshly cooked and tastes really delicious. We'd love to come back there when we're in the area again. 🤤👍

Since it was our first time in Gera, choosing a restaurant was difficult. However, you can't go wrong with the Rübezahl restaurant. The food and service were great. We will definitely come back on our next visit. That's why it's 5 stars.

Unfortunately we had to wait a bit long for the food.

Fast and friendly service staff. Had roulade and dumplings. Sauce is really great. If I didn't want red cabbage, that wasn't a problem. I asked if another dumpling would be possible because of the sauce. No😄👍, there were 2 dumplings. Well, if only that would happen somewhere else. Thank you for that and for the pleasant stay.

I still know the “old” rübezahl, it is now very bright and modern, but still very comfortable thanks to a lot of wood. The food came quickly and was very good had roast pork was tender very well seasoned fried potatoes were bomb crispy not burnt with bacon and onions. Service was excellent, quick and on point. It was a very nice evening

Well, there were six of us there. Unfortunately, I would say we were pretty unlucky at times. Except that's how you're supposed to eat. Two garlic soups were ordered, the goods were almost completely clear, they tasted absolutely nothing like anything, maybe two cloves of garlic were cut into them. We returned it because it was simply catastrophic. Beforehand we waited over 15 minutes for our drinks. The service was definitely new, that's not a bad thing, but he had absolutely no idea, he passed the food over my grandma and held the plate at an angle... soon he would have dumped the whole food over her. The main course was again okay. Some of the potatoes weren't cooked properly. Ambience was very nice... Oh and the Worcester Sauce, maybe it has to be that way but I've never seen it like that before, all the bottles were so green on the inside. Looked like algae.

Very good food, in a very cozy restaurant. The service was really on point and spread a good mood. So the environment was right and, not least because of that, it was a very nice, cozy evening. If we end up in Gera again, we'll definitely come back (next time we'll make a reservation too, promise)

Very good food served by very friendly service in a rustic setting. Price-performance ratio is completely fine. Spare ribs "all you can eat" every Friday evening. Wide selection of food and drinks. Czech draft beer available.

Just an all around great evening

I have already visited Rübezahl twice. Unfortunately the taste of the food is very bland. The portions are also quite small for the price and side dishes have to be paid extra with the meal. (Like fries, fried potatoes, etc.) is somewhat incomprehensible unfortunately! There is also no salad with the meal, which is standard everywhere today. The staff is friendly but there is a lack of good cooks in the kitchen. I think if you don't change something here, especially when it comes to food, Rübezahl won't be around for long because the guests won't be there. It's a shame actually.

Price/performance is top. Anyone who comes to Gera can experience and enjoy a tasty fireworks display here.

Very tasty food. Even if the restaurant is busy, you expect that the service will also take care of the guests. Drink requests were only fulfilled every 40 minutes. We then left, even though we wanted to stay.

Waren am ersten Weihnachtsfeiertag 2023 zum Essen und hatten Roulade bestellt. Diese war leider etwas zäh, da das Fleisch wohl nicht mürbe geklopft wurde und ließ sich deshalb nur schwer schneiden. Das Rotkraut war etwas Nelken lastig im Geschmack. Personal war flink und sehr freundlich.

Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Hygiene müsste besser sein. Das Essen war nicht gut, Fleisch inne noch roh, Bratkartoffeln 0815. Preisleistung stimmen nicht so überein. Wenn ich das mit früher vergleiche, war das Essen ein Traum. Leider werden wir nicht nochmal hingehen.

Toll eingerichtet. Urig, aber modern. Preis-Leistung sind unschlagbar. Man sollt lieber reservieren, da das Lokal kein Geheimtipp mehr ist. Und so kann man sich sein, dass man das tolle Ambiente und das leckere Essen in Ruhe genießen kann. Wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder vorbei!☺️👍🏻

Lecker, authentisch und einladend. Wir hatten beim Besuch die Kürbissuppe voraus, war angenehm gewürzt, leicht säuerlich. Das Schnitzel mit Pilzrahm war in Ordnung, die Rahmsoße fand ich nicht ganz so überragend. Der Palatschinken als Nachtisch hingegen war super. Preislich bin ich Frankfurt oder Stuttgart gewohnt, daher waren wir hier sehr zufrieden.

+ das Essen war super lecker, 1 Stern Abzug gibt es weil das Fleisch innen noch (mir persönlich) zu rosa war + Personal sehr freundlich + Getränke und Essensbestellung ging super fix + Genau so schnell stand das Essen auf dem Tisch - Ambiente ist sehr schön gestaltet, aber es ist sehr laut - Preise der Karte, die man sich online auf der Homepage anschauen kann stimmen nicht mit der vor Ort überein. Aber im großen und ganzen war es einen Besuch wert und wir werden definitiv wieder kommen. 😍🥳👍🏻

Ambiente: Ziemlich steril gehaltene "Skihütte". Es gab Dekoelemente die aber alle in weiß gehalten wurden. Wirkte sehr kühl...und das sollte es bei einer Skihütte nur draußen sein. Service: Freundliche und aufmerksame Servicekraft. Essen: Dies ist hier das größte Manko. Es werden viele Fertigprodukte verwendet. Sei es die rahmpilze die wie bei Knorr aus der Tüte schmeckten und eher einfach nur aufgewärmt wirkten. Die sehr trockenen Bratkartoffeln. Doch die Krönung waren die Reibekuchen....Pressware aus der Tiefkühltruhe und fix in die Mikrowelle geworfen . Einzig die Haxe gab einen das Gefühl das etwas frisch zubereitet wurde. Definitiv keinen 2. Besuch wert...

Kleine feine Auswahl an Gerichten, nettes Personal und tolles Ambiente :))))

Ich war heute mit Familie zum Mittag Vorort. Leider bin ich sehr enttäuscht gewesen, da die Speisekarte sich zum Sonntag ändert. Dies war aber weder online noch Vorort am Eingang ersichtlich. Dies hätte beim Reservieren am Telefon mitgeteilt werden können. Das Essen selbst war eher durchschnittlich und regt mich nicht dazu an, nochmal diesen Laden zu betreten. Ebenso die unsauberen Fensterbänke sind nicht sehr einladend.

Toller Service, lecker Essen, ich empfehle es gerne weiter 👍

Ich hatte Wurzfleisch und das war gut. Die Bedienung hätte etwas freundlicher sein können, aber wer weiß vielleicht einen stressigen Tag gehabt. Ich finde das Ambiente zwar heller als früher, aber schon fast etwas klinisch, früher war es uriger. Die Lampen über den Tischen sind mit Vorsicht zu beachten. Werde wieder mal reinschauen, wenn es sich anbietet. Der Biergarten davor ist im Sommer herrlich.🤪

Schönes Restaurant mit leckeren Essen. Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich. Warum dann nur drei Sterne? Am späteren Abend scheint das Klientel zu wechseln und es tauchen wohl immer mehr „Freunde des Hauses“ auf. Dementsprechend lässt die Aufmerksamkeit der Bedienung stark nach. Am Ende wurde ich nicht mehr bedient da das Restaurant angeblich schon geschlossen ist. Für die anderen Tische schien das aber nicht zu gelten.
