A pearl, it looks like a Michelin star restaurant, the food is made with so much love and variety, various snacks, really top!

I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant! The vegetarian and some vegan dishes at the buffet were incredibly diverse – a truly generous selection that clearly demonstrates the love and creativity that goes into the kitchen. I was particularly impressed by the variety of dishes: from fresh, light appetizers to hearty main courses, everything was there. On top of that, everything was seasoned fantastically. Nothing too strong, nothing too weak – simply perfectly balanced, allowing the ingredients to truly shine. A big compliment also goes to the service: Sarah was incredibly attentive and warm. She presented the dishes with great enthusiasm, was always available without being intrusive, and ensured that I felt completely comfortable and well taken care of. Questions about the dishes and individual ingredients were answered quickly and efficiently by the owner and the kitchen staff – I even picked up some valuable tips for my own cooking at home. A place where you feel welcome and where enjoyment and well-being are paramount. Highly recommended!

We visited the canoe farm with a group of 12 after making a reservation and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely outstanding! You could really tell that the kitchen had put a lot of effort into creating a varied and delicious meal. The staff was excellent, very cheerful, and clearly enjoyed their work. We'd love to come back!

The food and service were good. The waitress was alone, but she was super friendly. Unfortunately, the view of the Ems from the floor-to-ceiling windows was obscured by the forest. Otherwise, the setting was good. We'll definitely be back.

We were there with a group of people over 50 this weekend. It was wonderful. Nice people, extremely hospitable, delicious food, and a quaint location right on the water and the bike path.

We spontaneously went there for dinner with a small group. They recommended a table buffet, and we went for it. The food was so delicious that no one could say anything else. Highly recommended. The vegan cuisine in particular is a dream. Definitely recommendable. The atmosphere is cozy and you feel at home. The location is, of course, absolutely beautiful. And the service was also excellent. We were well guided through the meal, and everything was explained well. Everyone was friendly and extremely attentive.

Yesterday, after archery, six of us spontaneously went to the Kanuhof. What can I say other than: if I could give it 6 stars, it would be justified! For dinner: We sat down, ordered drinks, and shortly after, the chef himself came to the table and gave a brief explanation of the kitchen's strengths. Based on his recommendation, we had a vegetarian set menu. We didn't know exactly what it included, but we weren't disappointed—quite the opposite. Vegetarian lasagna, gyozas, lentil balls, baked tofu, two unusual salads, baked potatoes, oyster mushrooms, and so on… and everything was simply delicious!!! What really stood out was the value for money. First time there, but definitely not the last. The ambiance and team are simply top-notch: attentive staff, a clean restaurant, and good parking. If it's your first time eating there, like we were, let the chef do it; he knows what he's doing! It's delicious!

We booked the grill buffet, and we were treated to a collection of – admittedly, a lot – vegetarian dishes. I tried a lot of them. Some were tasty, many weren't. I haven't had much contact with vegetarian food before, so I decided to try a few things. The poor rating for the food is NOT based on my personal taste, but rather on the fact that this buffet was advertised as "grilled." There were actually 2-3 different types of meat. However, neither of them nor any of the vegetarian options were grilled. The culmination came at home during the next trip to the bathroom. It wasn't the most pleasant experience, which I'd like to spare you from. However, if you consciously just want to have drinks and skip the food, this is a great place to stay. The service and ambiance are truly great 👍🏻

We celebrated our wedding here and are absolutely thrilled. Uwe and Nicole accommodated all our requests, exuded a tremendous sense of calm, and were always available. We opted for the vegetarian food, and it was truly special. The staff was also very attentive and competent. The value for money is simply unbeatable. All in all, a celebration that we and our guests will remember forever. Many thanks to Uwe, Nicole, and the team.

I've never had such good vegetarian/vegan food in the region. It definitely won't be my last visit, as the service and ambiance perfectly round off the experience.

It's been a while since I was there, but they offer a buffet twice a week—once vegetarian and once non-vegetarian. Everything tastes delicious, and I think the atmosphere is fantastic. It's definitely worth it. Cheers to all the staff.

I happened to be here with friends from Cologne for the veggie buffet and was absolutely thrilled! I sometimes wish we had something like this in the city; everything was incredibly delicious. We'll be back – and this time back home! :)

An absolutely beautiful place with a truly wonderful atmosphere – you immediately feel welcome. The food was not only delicious but also arrived really quickly. Everything was easily adapted to be vegan, which we loved. We were especially pleased that our dog was allowed to come along – he was so lovingly looked after and felt just as comfortable as we did. All in all, a perfect visit; we'll definitely be back!

A superb archery course. Beautifully set up in a truly gorgeous forest setting with lovely little paths. The restaurant, with its friendly owners and staff, rounds it all off. Highly recommended. The traditional archers from Bakum will be back!

Favorite place. Good selection of cakes. Even in good weather, there's an extremely long wait if you want to order a cake and eat it there.

Warm welcome. Staff attentive and friendly. There is no standardized menu, but many tasty dishes served buffet-style or, depending on the number of guests, at the table. Not very cheap but something different and high quality. Clear recommendation!

We were with a group at the KanuHof and chose the buffet. It was super tasty, varied and very special. Everything was arranged in such a way that you could try out a lot of little things. Dessert was brought to the table separately and rounded off the meal perfectly. The service was also very, very good. The waiter was very attentive :) A clear recommendation 💞

We've been to the veggie buffet twice so far. Incredibly good food with fantastic service. As a vegan in the countryside, we unexpectedly found one of the best and most unusual vegan (at least 70%, the rest vegetarian) buffets in a restaurant. Friendly staff, everything was wonderful! Unfortunately, it was quite loud, but you can't even hold a conversation with that food! 😅

Discovered by chance and was really lucky. Super friendly owners and employees. We stayed there for 1 night self-sufficiently with the motorhome. A simple but very nice place. We have rarely eaten so well! Vegetarian or regional meat prepared with love. Warm atmosphere and empathetic people. We'll be back to learn intuitive archery or go on a canoe trip. The parking space for our motorhome was well protected with a beautiful view behind the house. Nice place for a little break!

Very good restaurant worth a visit

The food was very good and something completely different. But the music was quite loud and there were a lot of guests, which was a bit uncomfortable. Nevertheless, we would love to come back!

Yesterday we went to the vegetarian buffet... It was excellent again 😍 First of all, it always looks great and the taste was GRANDIOS again! And everything was super organized 😉 You can tell how much passion goes into EVERYTHING! Keep it up!!! THANKS!!!

Even as a meat eater, all I can say is a very tasty, diverse vegan buffet. Very attentive, fast, friendly service staff and a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

We had registered for the vegetarian buffet, but had also ordered meat for two people. The food was terrific! Not just for the eyes, but also for the palate. The meat, neck steak from the colorful Bentheimer, was brought to the table promptly. The service was great, we felt really comfortable. Highly recommended.

Incredible hospitality combined with a fantastic buffet. We spontaneously went there with our camper for an overnight stay. Uwe and Nicole are simply incredibly great hosts (as is the team in the restaurant). We have rarely felt so welcome with an excellent meal 🤪 will definitely be back 👍

As a vegetarian/vegan, it's really difficult to find a great location with an even greater menu in Emsland. Now we have found them! There were two of us there and we have never eaten so deliciously in Emsland. And at a reasonable price. In total we received seven pans/bowls with all kinds of dishes - including stuffed mushrooms/zucchini, noodle dishes, a kind of Japanese dumplings, etc. Everything was freshly prepared and served with tasty dressings. When the waiters came with the food, I thought - guided by my previous experiences in Emsland restaurants - that the dishes wouldn't be filling and it would be overpriced. I was wrong on both counts. We left the canoe yard around 3:30 p.m. and I no longer needed dinner. And all for a price of less than 25 euros per person. We'd love to come back. Next time we would also like to go with our dog, as we were asked why he wasn't allowed to come with us.

Absolutely top service, the size and taste of the food was fantastic (rarely have we, six people, been so positively surprised!), is located in beautiful and green surroundings directly on the Ems - simply highly recommended :-)! We'd love to come back :-D...

I was there for the first and last time on May 12th, 2024. I can't comment on the food because there was no service. We had to order inside and take our own cappuccino with us. The staff argued in front of our eyes about who should “run”. The boss(?) tried to mediate by saying: hey, we're relaxed. An absolute nonsense. Outside the tables were dirty from the trees. Which isn't a problem, but it's a no-go in a restaurant that the guests have to clean it themselves. Has the owner changed?

Das Ambiente ist mega, wusste nicht mal das es so groß ist und was mann da alles machen kann, ein Stern Abzug gibst es allerdings für den Zeltplatz, der an sich recht cool ist aber die schepsdorf Brücke lässt Nachts nicht viel schlaf zu

Tolles vegetarische und vegane Speisen! Der Wirt und die Kellnerinnen war sehr freundlich und die Kanutour hat auch richtig Spaß gemacht.

Super Veggi Buffet,viel Auswahl, Fleisch kann dazu gebucht werden, haben es aber nicht vermisst.

Der Kanuhof hat an einem Donnerstag für uns die Türen für eine Verabschiedung eines Arbeitskollegen geöffnet. Das Buffet für uns am Tisch war sehr vielfältig und super lecker! Ich habe im Emsland noch nie besser vegetarisch/vegan gegessen. Das Fleisch soll aber auch super gewesen sein ;-). Absolute Empfehlung!

Nach dem Boßeln super leckeres Grünkohl Buffet in gemütlicher Atmosphäre genossen! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr leckere und kreative vegetarische Gerichte: Wir hatten auf Empfehlung von Chef die Gemüse-Quiche und die Lachs-Lasagne als Vorspeisen (beides absolut köstlich!) und den Veggieteller (auch sehr lecker!) 😋. Ich als nicht Vegetarier war von dem Veggie Buffet absolut begeistert. schmeckt nach Orient und Südamerika, das alles in urigem Ambiente.... Nachhaltig Küche, super Gastgeber..., egal ob gut - - > rustikal essen gehen am Abend, ob Zwisvhenstopp mit dem Rad oder Kanu im Biergarten alles ist möglich. Wenn ich könnte würde ich 7 Sterne vergeben.

Wir haben einen wundervollen Abend beim Kanuhof verbracht. Freitags wird insbesondere ein vegetarisches Buffet ( wer möchte: mit " regionalen"Grillfleisch) angeboten. Wegen einer geschlossenen Gesellschaft gab es kein Buffet, jedoch alternativ ein " Tellerbufett" mit vielen vegetarischen Köstlichkeiten plus gegrilltem Fleisch. Der Teller war mit Liebe zum Detail hergerichtet. Alles sehr lecker. Als Gäste wurden wir sehr aufmerksam, wohlwollend, entspannt und freundlich bedient. Ein tolles Konzept von leidenschaftlichen Gastronomen. Dankeschön!!!

Wunderschöne Location und dass Personal ist sehr aufmerksam. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend mit einem mehr als üppigem Buffet.

Wurstsalat war echt prima und ausreichend groß. Man sitzt auch sehr schön. Einzig allein gestört hat uns, dass die Preise auf der Karte nicht den tatsächlichen Preisen entsprechen - Wurstsalat 11 € statt 9,50 €, Bier 3,30 statt 3 € Ob es sonst noch differiert wissen wir nicht. Wenigstens sagen könnte man das, wenn man es schon nicht hinbekommt, die Preise einer recht übersichtlichen Speisekarte zu aktualisieren.
