Gaststätte G7 in Berlin

We ended up here today and we were absolutely thrilled. It's a nice little restaurant where you quickly feel at home. The food was great, it was tasty and big portions too. The innkeeper was super nice and also very child-friendly. So we'll definitely come back here again.

The G7 is a wonderful and cozy restaurant where regular guests in particular feel very comfortable and are treated to good food. I belong to it... It's great that something like this still exists!

We were at G7 with Grandma on an autumnal Sunday afternoon and had made a reservation. That wasn't necessary, but it didn't do any harm either. The food was delicious, rich and down-to-earth and the service was extremely friendly. This also applies to the kitchen staff, who, when we left the restaurant, took a break because of the limited number of visitors at the time and said goodbye to us in a cheerful and friendly manner. Conclusion: A successful afternoon to your complete satisfaction! We'll be back.

Very nice, traditional inn with traditional cuisine - I had liver with mashed potatoes - very tasty! The service was very friendly, the atmosphere was very pleasant!

The fact that what Kathrin and Kalle have built brilliantly and has been continued to some extent by their immediate successors is obviously being completely screwed over by the current operator. Apparently he doesn't even read the reviews to change something. Found the same negative reviews from other guests today! Therefore no repetition. Someone is heading towards going out of business. It's actually a shame (we were regular guests for years, now we're gone, but there may be a new, more capable operator in the near future). Kerstin and Gernot

Friendly service, delicious food, not too expensive. Salad 🥗 was also served with the meal.

Unfortunately, we can't say anything about the food because we waited for over half an hour and the service staff didn't feel compelled to at least bring us the menu, despite repeated eye contact. The garden restaurant was not even half full. If I could, I would give zero stars. Really terrible service.

Ambiance is pretty basic, and cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Cobwebs in the corners, dead wasps on the floor and the tables a bit sticky. The food was prepared sensibly. The service was a bit inattentive (stood at the counter with colleagues and talked loudly). Normally you get an invoice when you pay or are at least asked if you would like an invoice. Here you just said the sum and that was it.

We four girls were very satisfied with our breakfast. Beautifully arranged on slate slabs.

A restaurant on the outskirts of the city that is easily accessible by car or bus. The house has its own rustic charm. Typical German cuisine is offered. Unfortunately, the service during our visit was very stressful and sometimes a bit unfriendly. The many flies in the guest room also bothered us. The wait for the food was a little over an hour - but you could hear the chef making the schnitzels fresh. After a brief mix-up between our order and the order from the table next door, we received our food. The salad was fresh and the schnitzels were delicious. The fried potatoes could have been a little peppier/spicier. Unfortunately there was no salt on the table for seasoning. There was a schnapps on the house to say goodbye.

Absolutely recommended, great service, no-frills menu and manageable offerings. We were pleasantly surprised at the price of the grill plate (meat was excellent), burgers + fries, and drinks under €50.

Traditional, Classic Food at G7 Restaurant, Berlin, Spandau An ultra classic Gaststätte, (restaurant) reminiscent of days gone by! Where portions are HUGE, the price is decent, the cooking a little like grand mother used to do Nothing fancy, just decent enough Hausmanns Kost (Classic home Style cooking) which was what the tradesman and workers would expect after a hard days work! The location is unique as it is within a stones throw of the Former Spandau Prison (Rudolf Hess was the last surviving Nazi Criminal incarcerated there until its demolition, after his passing) Also just 2 minutes from my High School and the British Army barracks during these days! As for the restaurant, the food is hearty, tasty and filling! Nothing Gourmet Style, just decent! Great summer evening with perfect weather though! Solid good German cuisine! I had the Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes (potatoes were sooo delicious). In my opinion, the price-performance ratio was also right.

The old house and the property are actually really nice and you could really do something with it. But unfortunately this doesn't work on any level. The food is home cooking, which could be really good but unfortunately the taste is only mediocre at best. Overall, as other visitors have described, it seems rather dingy and careless. There are enough service staff, but the staff is inattentive and rather slow and sluggish, especially when it comes to drinks. If you just want to eat something quickly and quickly and don't have any great demands on quality, you can stop here for a while. However, if you want a good meal that doesn't sit like a stone in your stomach for hours, you'd better keep looking. Berlin has many great restaurants in all price ranges and directions.

Iconic restaurant... for many years. Eating out, especially breakfast, is always worth it. A few cushions on the wooden chairs outside would be a huge improvement in comfort.

It was full, it was loud... but the fried herring and the fried potatoes were delicious. The service was quick and very nice. As a note: the tables are a bit small for the huge plates. Either smaller plates or slightly larger tables...

We were there recently Having breakfast with some friends. Considering that there were so many of us, the service was really good.. the serving of breakfast had a wow factor and it tasted good too. All in all, the shop really has potential. We were all surprised and really excited. However....and that was really bad, The cleanliness and the masses of animal corpses (insects) on the windowsill and on the ceiling in the first guest room They were already more than disgusting and certainly not just a few days old. If you would tackle this next, we would really like to come back!

Personally, I didn't think it was nice. Everything made a dirty impression. Maybe intentional. But sticky tables are just not my thing. The breakfast was just average for my taste. I don't have to have it again.

Waren das 1. Mal hier und werden wieder kommen. Es hat uns gut geschmeckt und gut fand ich auch das es für mich auch ein kleines Bauernfrühstück gabt,nicht nur Große 🤗 Waren heute 5.1.2024 wieder hier,und hatten mit Opa sehr gut gegessen. Mein Mann und ich hatten da Knusperschnitzel und Opa eine große Scheibe Leberkäse mit Bratkartoffeln. Alles war supi,gerne wieder 👍

Keine gehobene Gastronomie, dafür jedoch solide Hausmannskost. Es ist ein einfaches Restaurant, welches jedoch wenn man Hunger mitbringt das erfüllt, was mann erwartet - gutes leckeres essen. Die Bedienung könnte ein wenig mehr auf die Gäste achten, aber sonst gern weiterzuempfehlen.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise. Wir waren zu fünft + 2 Hunde und kamen spontan. Ein sehr freundlicher Kellner empfing uns, richtete uns umgehend eine Tischkombination ein und stellte sich am Tisch mit seinem Namen vor, Sascha. Die Räumlichkeiten sind "rustikal" und sehr gemütlich, das alte Gemäuer und seine Geschichte runden es ab. Wir hatten 5x handfeste deutsche Küche bestellt und genau das bekommen. Gutbürgerliche Küche. Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut, PreisLeistung top. Alles ist sehr authentisch und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl, wobei dem freundlichem Kellner einen sehr großen Anteil zukommt! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Lecker Essen, nette Bedienung und gutes Ambiente

Heute waren wir nach 6 Jahren wieder einmal zum Weihnachtsessen hier. Vor 6 Jahren konnte ich noch 5 Sterne verteilen. Doch nach dem Betreiberwechsel nur noch Enttäuschung! Wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert. Beim Eintreffen die totale Ernüchterung. Innen hatte sich gar nichts geändert. Und für Weihnachten nur spärliche Deko. Keine Tischdecken, Gartenstühle, defekte Sitzpolster. Kellner in Jeans und CK-Shirt. Weiterer Kellner mit Basecap. Das Essen für 26,90 € sehr übersichtlich und geschmacklos. Die Klösse innen noch fest. Der Kaffee wurde gleich auf dem Tisch verteilt und noch nicht mal abgewischt. Einfach nur Bahnhofsathmosphäre. Der Nachbartisch war gedeckt mit einer Papiertischdecke. Für Weihnachten alles in allem ein No Go. Uns hat man hier das letzte Mal gesehen. Nie wieder. Zum Glück waren wir nicht die einzigen unzufriedenen Gäste. Kann ich nur von abraten, es sei denn man mag Kneipen und kann selbst nicht kochen.

Wir hatten für den 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag vorbestellt und mussten fast 1 Stunde auf die Gänsebrust mit Rotkohl und Klößen warten. Die Haut von der Gänsebrust war nicht knusprig sondern wie Gummi, das Essen war es für 26,90€ nicht wert. Schade, im letzten Jahr klappte und schmeckte es besser.

Der Abend war eine absolute Katastrophe, der Service frech und zum Teil genervt und überfordert. Das Essen hätte ich zuhause besser machen können. Es war auch maßlos überfüllt. Schade, das Ambiente ist urig aber schon schön.

Wir waren als junge Gruppe hier , und waren sehr begeistert vom kleinen Häuschen…. Manche haben das Weihnachtsessen genossen ( Gänsekeule, Rotkohl, Grünkohl und Klöße) war sehr lecker und knusprig und andere haben aller Kart gegessen & waren auch sehr zufrieden. Kann man auf jedenfall weiterempfehlen. Alle sehr nett und freundlich drinnen gewesen . Also alles in allem auf jedenfall einen Besuch wert + man kann im Sommer auch entspannt draußen sitzen habe ich gesehen 🍻

Waren gestern zum Weihnachtsessen mit Freunden da. Vom Service bis hin zum Essen war alles top. Nächstes Jahr auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir hatten das Frühstück für 2. Es war richtig toll angerichtet und mehr als reichhaltig. Und natürlich lecker. Koch wie Kellner sehr freundlich. Preislich nichts zu meckern. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Das Essen ist sehr gut und daher die fünf Sterne. Am Service kann man noch arbeiten, beim letzten Besuch war die Bedienung etwas konfus trotzdem sehr freundlich.

Das Knusperschnitzel ist legendär!

Sehr schmackhafte Deutsche Hausmannskost. Tolle Portionen und angemessene Preise bei sehr persönlichem Service (danke Sasha) zaubern dir ein zufriedenes Grinsen ins Gesicht. Jedes Essen frisch zubereitet und trotzdem ohne große Wartezeit - ein Genuss.

Interessanter historischer Ort. Super leckeres deutsches Essen 👌, tolles Team, was den Gast ob zwei- oder vierbeinig 🐾🐾 verwöhnen möchte. Hier wird man gut satt und das Preis- Leistungsverhaltnis ist unschlagbar, wir als "olle" Berliner waren begeistert und kommen gern wieder 🙌

Große Portionen und es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt

Wir sind nach 2 Stunden Stau auf der Autobahn kurz nach Küchenschluß angekommen, wurden trotzdem noch vom Chef begrüßt und haben noch vorzüglich gegessen und getrunken. Saša, unser Kellner war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns sehr gut bedient. Vielen Dank, wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen.

Essen sehr lecker, empfehlenswert!

Ich war gestern zum ersten mal im G7 zum Frühstück und war begeistert. Dieses kleine Restaurant hat innen und außen Plätze, eine sehr freundliche Bedienung die gerne beraten hat. Das Essen, erstklassig, frisch und viel. Prompte Nachfrage nach Getränken oder anderen Wünschen, einfach nur genial. Ich war so beeindruckt das ich am nächsten Tag zum Mittagessen hin bin, Königsberger Klopse mit Salzkartoffeln und Salat. Wahnsinn !! So gut, frisch gemacht, man kann es sich nicht besser wünschen..

Einfache, gemütliche Gaststätte mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung und einem guten Speisenangebot mit sehr moderaten Preisen. Die Gerichte sind sehr liebevoll zubereitet und schmecken wie bei Muttern zuhause. Der ideale Ort für ein Frühstück ohne viel Chi-Chi, einen guten Lunch oder ein Abendessen. Wärmstens empfohlen.
