It was very tasty. Unfortunately the portion was quite small

We really enjoyed our visit to this rustic country inn. The guest garden is lovingly decorated, only the bark mulch floor takes some getting used to. I found it nice that many dishes can also be ordered in small portions. There is a very good selection of open wines, which are also served in 0.1 liter sizes at reasonable prices (e.g. Pinot Gris €2.50). I can absolutely recommend the menu item “Our Number One”: sliced ​​turkey breast in a pan with fiery sauce and crispy potatoes. The pork loin medallions with pepper sauce were also very good. Here, however, the small portion was really very small. Next time I would at least order a side salad with it. I particularly liked the appealing design of the menu. The visit would have been perfect if the chairs in the guest garden had been a little more comfortable and there had been salt and a pepper mill on the table. If we're in the area, we'll definitely come back. If my review was helpful, I would appreciate a thumbs up 👍.

We sat on the seating in front of the restaurant facing the street. The food was delicious and there is nothing wrong with it. Unfortunately, after the main course, we were completely ignored or forgotten and there was no service to be seen for over 30 minutes, for example to clear away the used dishes or ask for drinks. We would certainly have ordered one or two drinks. When the waitress came and cleared away, they didn't ask for drinks. Very unfortunate. When we expressed that we wanted to pay, we had to wait another 15 minutes for the bill + another 5 minutes to get the reader for card payment. This really spoiled the positive impression of the good food.

We were there on July 29, 24 for lunch with Chinese customers. We had a good seat in the beer garden (pre-booked for 6 people). The beer garden invites you to linger here. The food was very good and German meals. The beer was also very good. The service was very quick and the food came promptly without having to wait long. It really can only be recommended. I can't judge what it's like in the restaurant. But I think it should be quaint. Small but nice. Keep it up and don't let it get you down, even if it gets difficult. VG Jörg

Food very tasty, service very good and ambience also very nice. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is not optimal, there was a lot of savings in quantity compared to other restaurants. The portions are more like senior portions at full price. Something was missing for us so only 3 stars.

Very cozy beer garden and great beer. We particularly recommend “the Amorbacher Stadtbier”. There is even a children's corner with a slide at very reasonable prices. Climbing tower and swing. Go and unwind

We were very happy to have found this restaurant. A bit inconspicuous from the outside, there is a very well-kept and cozy beer garden behind the house. Everything is very clean and tastefully decorated, and the toilets also indicate that the operators want to see their guests again. The menu has something for every taste, the prices are completely ok and reasonable. We enjoyed it, the service was friendly and you can also pay by card.

Wonderful ambience in the beer garden, which is beautifully decorated. The food is not only incredibly tasty but also all homemade. The prices for these are absolutely great because you usually pay twice as much for the quality elsewhere. Had game goulash with red cabbage and spaetzle + breaded schnitzel with cream mushroom sauce, spaetzle and salad. Even the mushrooms in both dishes were fresh and 100% nothing from a can = absolute recommendation!

The small portion of food is so tiny that the price-performance ratio is very poor. Plus everything was lukewarm. That is not how it works.

The food was good, but the portions were a bit small for the price. The service staff was nice, unfortunately the table was quickly full of empty glasses because the new order wasn't cleared away after the new order was delivered, and it was a bit disorganized.

I ate a Wiener Schnitzel. Far too little for a man. That was more of a senior schnitzel.

Nice and shady beer garden with lots of sayings everywhere. Food was okay, but nothing special. It's a bit challenging to get up, the folding chairs easily get caught in the wood chips, but it's a pleasantly soft floor.

We had lunch in the cozy beer garden on June 8th, 2024 with a motorcycle group (19). I don't want to go into details now, just this much: everything was perfect, from the reservation, service (very friendly) and of course the food (very tasty). We'll definitely come back.

I've been here several times and the food here is good, but sometimes you get very small portions here. Where you can get almost a third more for the price elsewhere. If my friend's schnitzel hadn't been so incredibly small, I wouldn't have commented on it. It should have been a third bigger for the money the schnitzel was.

Had a Wiener Schnitzel with fries. It tasted good, but it could have been a little bigger. But for 15.90 you can't expect more. Drinks could have been colder.

Certainly the "normalization" of VAT has a fair amount of blame for the price development in the restaurant. However, the daily recommendation in terms of price/performance was not OK. A piece of neck steak, a pair of potatoes, sauce for about 15.00 euros. A mousse au chocolat that was actually a hazelnut cream (presumably from a bag) with a few strawberries was just under 9.00 euros.

We got a table without a reservation, were served in a friendly manner, ate very well and felt very comfortable.

If you leave the restaurant with a smile because everything was perfect - the food was very good, regional home cooking, warm service, a cozy atmosphere, a good price/performance ratio - then 5 stars are well deserved. It doesn't have to be expensive or fancy to be special.

Service was friendly and on the ball. The beef with horseradish lacked a bit of spiciness and was more of a cream sauce. The spaetzle portion was felt to be a bit too small.

The service was nice and courteous. The cheese spaetzle were tasty, although the portion was unexpectedly small. Unfortunately, the other dishes, pork schnitzel and pork neck steak, did not meet our expectations.

Great food, good value for money

So how should I start? The service was friendly, unfortunately the food wasn't that great. The liver dumpling soup was dry little bobbles! So it goes on, beef roulade with ready-made napkin dumplings. The roulades would be OK, but there would be a lot of onions in them. No decoration, no green and no red cabbage. See photo, it was just carelessly placed on the plate. See for yourself how delicious it looks!

Ein sehr schönes Lokal mit liebevoller und geschmackvoller Deko. Gutes bürgerliches Essen, toller Wein (Sauvignon Blanc!!!), sehr schöne Speisekarte mit kreativen Gerichten. Hat uns gut gefallen.

Preislich besonders ansprechend, hatte dort eine Gulaschsuppe. Die war in Ordnung, aber nichts besonderes. Besonders aufgefallen ist mir die Servicekraft die sehr, sehr aufmerksam war und sofort in einem nebensatz gehört hat, dass ich aufgrund eines privaten Termins zahlen und gehen möchte. Die Rechnung war sofort da. Herausragender, zuvorkommender und vor allen Dingen sehr aufmerksamer Service. Preislich ist die Gaststätte gut und ich kann einen Besuch dort wärmstens empfehlen.

Gut bürgerliche Küche mit sehr moderaten Preisen. Viele Speisen sind auch als "kleine" Portion erhältlich. Zuvorkommender Service - wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Top super Essen nette Bedienung

Le menu est varié et c'est extrêmement frais et très bon. La bière elle, est exceptionnelle ! Ils ont une bière locale faite par Faust pour spécialement pour eux, c'est une pure merveille pour les amateurs. Le cadre est agréable et en été c'est encore mieux car ils ont un très charmant jardin pour diner ou déjeuner en extérieur. Ils ouvrent l'extérieur en général dès avril. Le personnel est toujours très agréable. J'y vais plusieurs fois par an depuis au moins 8 ans, et je n'étais jamais déçue. Le café est par ailleurs excellent aussi ! Si vous êtes de passage, n'hésitez pas à y faire une halte. Les prix sont par ailleurs très raisonnables.

Unsere Gerichte waren sehr lecker, das Ambiente einladend - super! Leider mussten wir zur Mittagszeit ca. 1h auf unsere Bestellung warten und die Portionen waren sehr klein, daher wohlwollende vier Sterne.

Mir hat das Essen sehr gut geschmeckt! Aber manche meiner Mitgäste waren nicht so begeistert. Wir mussten leider etwas länger aufs Essen warten, was sicher an der Gruppengröße lag. Das Ambiente dort ist sehr schön! Leider hatte ich danach ein paar Mückenstiche. Doch dafür kann das sehr nette Team der Brauerei Etzel ja nichts!

Schönes gut bürgerliches Restaurant. Es gibt viele Gerichte auch als kleine Portion, was ich sehr angenehm finde. Statt chichi, einfache Gerichte, wie Roulade mit Semmelknödel oder Putengeschnetzeltes mit Paprika. Der Service war gut und aufmerksam. Als ein kleiner Patzer mit dem Dessert passierte (es war im Betrieb mit dem Biergarten vergessen worden) kam sofort eine Entschuldigung und wenig später das köstliche Dessert. Ambiente ist nett. Gerne wieder.

Schöner Biergarten, relativ kleine Portionen, aber Preis und Leistung passt

Essen war sehr gut aber die Essensteller sind total ungeeignet für Gastronomie.Beim schneiden vom Fleisch sogar bei Fisch quietscht der Teller das tut in den Ohren weh geht gar nicht . Sehr schöner Biergarten ein Hingucker !!! Toiletten sind groß schön und sehr sauber .Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis .

Hier gibt es Essen aus meiner Kinderzeit, wie Saure Nieren, gebackene Leber oder Tafelspitz, sehr lecker und zu einem fairen Preis. Dazu sitzt man in einem liebevoll gestalteten Biergarten mit einem tollen Kinderspielplatz. Meiner Meinung nach im Sommer kaum zu toppen!

Wir gehen jedes Jahr am Familientreffen dort essen. Der Service ist hervorragend und die Preise fürs Essen sind sehr günstig.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von rd. 25 Personen zur Mittagszeit dort. Flotter und freundlicher Service, das Essen war sehr gut. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Das Gasthaus kann man gut weiterempfehlen.

Leider mussten wir sehr,sehr lange auf unser Essen warten (ca 50min)obwohl sehr wenig Gäste anwesend waren.Geschmacklich war das Essen in Ordnung,leider war meine Leber aufder Unterseite ziemlich schwarz.

Wunderschöner kleiner Biergarten. Das Ambiente ist perfekt für den Sommer. Portionen gibt's auch in klein 😀

Gut bürgerliches Lokal mit gutem Essen. Mein Lendenfilet war zwar zu gut durch, aber geschmacklich gut.

So muss ein Biergarten aussehen und das Essen ist wirklich lecker. Was gut ist, auf der Speisekarte werden auch kleine Portionen angeboten.

Top Lage, schönes Ambiente mit Urlaubs feeling.... Auch die Gerichte Top. Hier wird jeder fündig. (Vesper/ sämtliche Fleichgerichte/ vegetarische und auch für Veganer) einfach klasse ☀️

Ein super Biergarten. Lauter nette Besonderheiten zum trinken und essen werden hier auf Schiefertafeln angezeigt. Essen kam schnell und schmeckte hervorragend. Gerne immer wieder, kann man nur empfehlen.

Wir waren heute Mittag zum ersten Mal in der Gaststätte Brauerei Etzel und waren absolut zufrieden vom Essen (begeistert trifft es schon eher :-) und der Gastfreundlichkeit. Die Gaststube ist relativ klein, aber gemütlich und die Bedienung (2 Damen) waren sehr nett. Vorneweg hatte ich eine Rindersuppe mit Leberknödel, als Hauptgerichte 1x Roulade und 1x Schnitzel mit Biersauce, dazu einen Beilagensalat mit Rohkost. Es schmeckte wirklich alles absolut klasse! Das Fleisch war zart und mager (uns wichtig), Suppe und Beilagensalat mega lecker. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen und freuen uns schon auf die nächsten leckeren Gerichte... Übrigens auch preislich absolut fair, daher verdient 5 Sterne.

Toller Biergarten, leckeres Bier, besonders leckere Salate

Schon lange nicht mehr so schlecht gegessen. Mein Schnitzel war lieblos mit einem See Soße und Pommes angerichtet, die Pommes nicht gesalzen. Ein anderer hatte die Rinderleber, total zäh, durchzogen von Adern, der Kartoffelbrei war kalt. Der Lachs mit Nudeln war totgebraten, die dazu servierte Kräuterbutter noch gefroren, die Nudeln eiskalt. Das Ambiente innen ist etwas unmodern. Service war gut.

Nice atmosphere, filled with knick-knack. Attentive staff and and good selection of classic German meals with one exception an Indian style curry with vegetables which warranties a recommendation.
