Very good food, service very friendly but very cold toilet icy

It's a charming, traditional restaurant with a heart. Unfortunately, it was extremely busy during our visit. There should have been a seating limit, which led to very long waits. The food was delicious; even though the steak was a bit overcooked, it still tasted very good.

Yes, good German cuisine. The food is always very good. You should make a reservation, as it's always full.

Update June 2024 Unfortunately, the portions have become noticeably smaller. The spice meat also no longer seemed to me. For me it has lost a lot of quality

The tip came from my hairdresser. It's a bit hidden on Zingster Str., but you can find it. You immediately feel at home as it reminds you a little of the GDR times. Male and female waiters were very nice. Food tasted very good. Gladly again.

Invited for a birthday, we ate at Barnimquell. Rustically and lovingly furnished, there is very tasty food, served by the very attentive manager couple with their hearts in the right place.

Unfortunately, the food was mediocre, absolutely no highlight, and had many weak points. And… It was incredibly cold in the restaurant. Unfortunately, when asked, the only response was jokes: “Usually our guests drink mulled wine.” Oh, right. ha ha ha. They gave us blankets. But it was still uncomfortably cold. The heaters were turned down completely. It's a shame for this bad first impression. Therefore, even if the food had been great, the restaurant would not attract us again under these circumstances.

Very friendly service & good cuisine!

We thought about celebrating there with 50 people, but decided against it. It's just too cold there in winter and therefore not comfortable. Nobody wants to sit there with a jacket. It's a shame, the staff was very nice and the food was good too. This will probably save on heating costs

We often go to Barnimquell. It is a cozy restaurant with good food and large portions. The meat is super tender and the fries are nice and crispy. The prices are absolutely okay. The service and kitchen staff were very nice and attentive. Dear Annette, we remain loyal to you!!!

Yesterday we came here again for a long time and were surprised that on a Wednesday evening around 6 p.m. all the seats on the terrace were completely occupied. It's always a good sign. Since we were there without a reservation, we could only eat inside, which actually turned out to be better due to the more pleasant temperatures. As always, the schnitzels were great, the service was very friendly and, above all, attentive. We felt very comfortable and would like to come back. Of course it has also become a little more expensive here, but there are good, tasty portions at a reasonable price, and the drinks prices are also okay.

I was there last week...for the first time...the food was really, really good!!! The garlic soup was absolutely amazing!!! If they delivered I would be the best customer! Very happy to be there again!

We came across this restaurant while looking for regional cuisine. It's a little hidden, cozy and has a nice beer garden. Public parking spaces were plentiful. The menu offers typical regional and German dishes that were very tasty. The beer is also very tasty!🤤🤗 Our four meals came at the same time. Very nice waitresses with a typical Berlin snout.😉 An insider tip for us and we will definitely come back!

I grew up in Hsh and often ate at Barnimquell as a child and teenager because it tasted excellent back then. Today I ate there again after probably 20 years. I used to always eat the “Dutch” schnitzel, and I still do today, which means it tastes different now but at least as good as it did back then. The bean salad also tastes really good. Unfortunately, I live an hour away by car, but I would make that journey for the delicious food. The service is also very friendly. The interior and the music are a matter of taste but it fits the concept. For me, worth 5 stars!

Yesterday I was there there were different staff than I knew and I have to say if I had been there for the first time yesterday I would have left again. The staff yesterday was slow and quite unfriendly. I'm not used to this restaurant. Please look at the friendliness of the two who were there today and everything will be first class.

Nice nostalgic restaurant in the middle of prefabricated buildings. Staff quick and nice. For just under 19 euros you get a schnitzel with fries, canned beans and ready-made side dishes. Aperol Spritz €6.90 just over half full. Sorry guys!!! . But you don't have to adjust the prices to a restaurant in Mitte:( Otherwise recommended if the price is right again.

Barnimquell is a bit hidden in the green of the residential area and close to a park. There is a weekly or asparagus menu. I ate asparagus "Bernese style", which tasted very good. The portion was enough for me, but others might consider it too little. There were 3 thick asparagus spears. I also liked the ice cream, 2 large scoops. The service was quick and friendly.

Nice, quaint restaurant with really friendly service. Prices are generally very fair, but not for the ice cream. 3 scoops with a bit of berry sauce for €10.50 is completely overpriced and outrageous in my opinion. It's a shame, that was probably my last visit!

Were there yesterday on June 7th, 2024, it was very full. And now it comes... Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated significantly. Schnitzel is now also molded meat and extremely poor quality. There were also complaints at other tables. A pity.

I have never had such a thin steak!!! Except here! Prices are high and then still free according to the motto: Saving is not being stingy! Just disgusting!

Clearly 5 stars from us. Great service and the food was delicious and beautifully prepared, without a long wait. The restaurant itself is very rustic and seems a bit older, so a slight point deduction in the ambience area. There was soft pop music playing in the background the whole time, but very old songs. We like hits, so that's a plus point here too. :) German food to choose from. Not a nice price for this performance. We will come back.

The best schnitzels you can get in Berlin. Regular staff are busy rushing around...shopping is running. Prices for food are still affordable. When the weather is nice, sitting outside with a delicious “half” is great
