Gaststätte Auszeit in Löhne

Although we had a reservation, the bowling alley and lounge weren't preheated. The lanes themselves were also in poor condition, and there was no explanation of how to use them. The food was very basic, as expected for the price; the only reason for the two points is the decent fries. The service was mediocre at best; the owner was attentive but very unfriendly. I won't comment on the ambiance—it had all the charm of the 80s. I think this was my first and last visit to this otherwise quite well-reviewed establishment.

When we arrived, we were met with a grumpy innkeeper, an ice-cold bowling alley, and an equally freezing lounge. The heating wasn't turned on until we arrived, so we spent most of our time in jackets and coats. The bowling alley is not recommended for serious bowlers. One of the scoring systems was diligently counting imaginary rounds and points that had no basis in reality. The food was plentiful but subpar. We felt like an intrusion, not welcome guests. In short: Never again, not recommended!

A traditional inn, with a bar, dartboard, and dance hall. The food was also delicious.

The owner was extremely unfriendly. He was very rude to us guests. That was definitely our last visit.
