Gaststätte Altes Schützenhaus in Mittweida

Friendly service, but long waiting time.

Another wonderful New Year's Eve was celebrated at the Altes Schützenhaus. Other events (e.g., line dance parties) were also organized with great enthusiasm.

I've been to the Schützenhaus several times for birthdays, weddings, activities, and celebrations, and I can only say that everything has always been perfect for me so far. You always get a parking space right next to the restaurant. Depending on what you're doing or where you are, you'll find yourself in one of the various rooms the restaurant has to offer, whether it's the smaller ballroom on the ground floor or the larger ones on the first floor. It's always beautifully decorated and put together with a lot of effort. The small guest room in the building is also highly recommended. The restrooms are always spotlessly clean and accordingly tidy. To talk about the food, we'll have to go into a bit more detail, as it naturally depends on whether you're having a small snack in the guest room or at a buffet at an event. However, the food has always been excellent at both locations. If you're celebrating a birthday, you can also choose from a pre-arranged menu. Just sitting at the bar and relaxing is always nice. The atmosphere in the restaurant is always very pleasant. In summary, I can only recommend the restaurant to everyone, especially because of the wide range of options. (Events are always good 👍)

Dort war eine Sonderveranstaltung "Krimidinner". Das Essen war sehr gut. Es gab drei Gänge. Als Hauptgang gab es Rollade mit Klößen und Rotkraut. Sehr sehr fein. Der Krimi war auch nicht schlecht. Schade nur, das die Akustik nicht so gut war. Denn die Erzähler gingen immer mal unter. Einmal durch eine Gruppe, die ständig auffallen musste und laut war. Und zum anderen ist es einfach der Raum, der die Worte verschluckt. Im Großen und Ganzen allerdings ein gelungener Abend.
