Gaststätte Alte Kirmestenne in Nidda

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Friday to Monday. It is closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. They serve good, tasty, traditional German cuisine.

Excellent service, great boss, completely satisfied.

The 'pizza': flavorless pre-made dough, not even snack-quality! I know it's not uncommon these days to reach for convenience products, but you can still be less obvious about it and choose select products, or at least season them. And the salad, with unseasoned, raw mushrooms?! Where can you find something like that? Eating raw mushrooms is only conditionally recommended from a health perspective! But even if we had picked them out, the rest wouldn't have been eaten! The dressing was simply slimy; I've rarely tasted anything so disgusting. After 10 minutes, an indefinable, clear broth had settled in the bowl, as if the salad was already a few days old (see photo). It's a shame about the food, but it was inedible! The one star is for the nice lady on the phone. She's really the only positive thing I have to say about this place.

Definitely a restaurant for dining. The food is very good and plentiful, but unfortunately, I can't comment on the rooms, as we only went for dinner.

Great for a game of darts or a game of pool. Or just a beer.
