Sehr leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal und leckere Snacks als Appetithappen. Absolute Empfehlung.

Wir waren gestern ziemlich spontan und nicht vorinformiert zum Mittagessen hier und wurden freundlich empfangen auf dem Weg durch Restaurant und Wintergarten zum Biergarten. Es wirkte alles sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Bestellung von Getränke und Essen ging zügig und der Chef persönlich brachte die Vorspeise,samt Erklärung. Die Größe der Karte ließ darauf schließen, dass hir wirklich gekocht wird. Über die Preise waren wir erstmal erschrocken, weil nicht vorbereitet. Das ist auch der einzige Wermutstropfen: die Getränkepreise. Die Portionen waren so groß, dass der Preis gerechtfertigt ist, aber für ein Glas Wein 0,1l sind es ein stolzer Preis. Wir kommen trotzdem wieder, schließlich konnten wir Kaffeetrinken und Abendessen sparen.

Früher und heute.... Seit kurzem ist wieder Leben in der Schmiede und ein Besuch lohnt sich. Situationsbedingt gibt es die Gerichte zwar derzeit nur "to go", aber es gibt eine Richtung für kommende, bessere Zeiten, in denn man dann hoffentlich gemütlich einkehren kann. Schon jetzt wird Service und Kundenfreudlichkeit groß geschrieben. Das Essen ist schlicht und ergreifend lecker. Es wird frisch gekocht und trotz alledem, dass es sich um gutbürgerliche Küche mit traditionellen Gerichten handelt, bleibt ein frischer Wind in der Karte und bei der Zubereitung nicht auf der Strecke. Hier ist für jeden Gaumen etwas dabei und satt wird auch der Hungriste.

Sehr empfehlenswert. Gehobene Küche aus regionalem Bezug, selbst gebackenes Brot mit hausgemachten Dips als Vorspeise. Schönes Ambiente und sehr nette Gastgeber.

Nachtrag: mehr als 3 Jahre nach dem 1. Besuch sind wir immer noch begeisterte Schmiede-Gänger :-) es ist immer fabelhaft, egal ob einfach mal Essen gehen nach Karte, die genialen Weinabende oder die Ausrichtung einer Feierlichkeit. Alles top, absolut zu empfehlen

Wir waren spontan zum Mittagessen da und wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Frischgebackenes Brot mit selbstgemachten Dips als Gruß aus der Küche war super lecker. Das Essen war köstlich, da alles frisch und aus hochwertigen Lebensmitteln hergestellt und mit Liebe angerichtet wurde. Wir haben lange nicht so gut gegessen. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team, macht weiter so!

Sehr freundliche, immer wechselte Speisen, regionale Lebensmittel. Toiletten sehr sauber und toll dekoriert. Ein kleiner Gruß aus der Küche war das selbstgemachte Brot mit Leberwurst und Bärlauchpesto Die Bärlauchgnoccis waren ein Gedicht. Wie auch der Skier mit Zitronenkartoffelpürree. Hatte sowas vorher noch nie probiert, war mega begeistert.

Gastronomie ist die Kunst, gutes Essen auszuwählen, zuzubereiten, zu servieren und zu genießen. Und genau das wird in der Schmiede im wahrsten und schönsten Sinne des Wortes gelebt. Der Service ( die Chefin selbst), das Essen ( le Chef selbst) und das Ambiente; alles vorhanden für einen schönen Abend. Wir haben es genossen. Danke.

Tolles Konzept. Super Service. Nettes Team / nette Inhaber. Wir hatten einen wirklich gelungenen Abend im Freundeskreis. Die „Chefin“ hat uns etwas teilhaben lassen an ihrer Geschichte und der Idee ihres Restaurants - super interessant. Es werden nur regionale Produkte verwendet - und „regional“ bedeutet hier wirklich regional, großteils sogar aus der Nachbarschaft oder direkten Umgebung. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen mehr als ausreichend groß. Alles wird mit Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Es war ein kulinarisch toller, kurzweiliger, gemütlicher Abend und wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder. 🙏🤩

On August 17th, I landed here by chance. Hunger and culinary curiosity were in my luggage. I chose a ox cheek. From the first bite to the last drop of sauce, I was thoroughly surprised. And in a good way, of course. I've never before encountered such a "culinary work of art" with finely balanced spices and tender, superbly marinated meat. Those delicious potato fritters, along with light mashed potatoes, ensured that my hunger was perfectly satisfied. Of course, such a highlight has its justifiable price. But I'm happy to pay it for such a culinary experience... I/We will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, the prices are far too high for what was really nothing special, and there's no justification for it. We paid €92 for two people with two drinks and two main courses. That's unacceptable, and we won't be doing it again! The service was quite friendly, but not so much after the tip. But the basic rice is breathtaking. In our opinion, you can get more for less in the area.

We went to the Schmiede for dinner on a Saturday evening in May. Never again!! The waitress was monstrous and didn't smile, the food on the menu was very limited and the prices like you'd pay in a star hotel, we had baked fish with potato gratin and mushy peas, it arrived burnt and we sent it back, but it wasn't fresh, the old burnt part had been picked out and simply airtouched off and the portion was now much smaller, with the other meal the grilled vegetables were partially burnt and hidden under the ribs. 85 euros for 2 meals, 2 drinks and an Aperol, we were so annoyed about everything. Not recommended!!!!!

Fantastic beer garden and also a very nice winter garden for the cooler days. We had a very nice evening with friendly service and were able to try the entire menu. Thank you for that, we would love to come back! Definitely support!

We booked a table for two for Sunday lunchtime at 12.45 p.m. without knowing what to expect. We assumed that it was an inn in the country...both in terms of the offerings and the prices. The ambience: well...the footcloth in the entrance area, the missing tablecloth and the "napkins", which look like they were hand-sewn from tea towels, don't really match the price quoted at the end. The menu was clear, very meat-heavy and unfortunately didn't meet our expectations at all. For example, there was... E.g. not even a salad as a main course, no poultry dish, nothing with eggs. We both ordered something out of necessity. My husband had cutlet with fried potatoes - which unfortunately had caraway on it, which he doesn't like at all. I took cheese dumplings with mushrooms, which after 5 bites left you with the feeling that they were just meant to fill your stomach and bypass your taste buds. There was more and more in the mouth. I had half of it packed and paid 50 cents for it. The food was finally on the table after 45 minutes of waiting, even though not all the tables were occupied. For these 2 dishes + 2 beers 0.4l + 1 tonic 0.2l + 1 special 0.33l we paid 71 euros and left disappointed. You imagine an inn in the middle of nowhere to be something different. Conclusion: If we really want to eat something fine AND tasty, we go to the Röhrsdorfer Hof. There are worlds in between for the same price.

Very nice atmosphere. The service is good, at least until the tips are too small. When you order a juice spritzer you get a juice and a water - unfortunately there is no indication that you get 2 drinks with this order. The food is extremely expensive, but the quality is okay. The portions are very large. Attention! Packing to take away will be charged extra! Unfortunately, we all experience discomfort and bloating a few hours later. That's extremely unfortunate. We will not come back for this price-performance ratio.

A definite recommendation for exquisite food and great service. Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere: delicious home-baked bread and dips as a greeting from the kitchen. Starters and main courses are a delight, meat is on point, dressings and sauces are super tasty! And the dessert is also an absolute recommendation! This kitchen can easily compete with large kitchens without appearing affected. Thank you for the great experience!

You can enjoy excellent food at the Gasthof zu Schmiede. It is one of the best restaurants north of Chemnitz. The food is handmade and of very high quality. The portions are generous, but also leave room for dessert. In the pictures you can see, among other things, creamed veal goulash, turbot fillet and duck breast. The service is courteous, quick and friendly. You can sit in the dining room or in the heated winter garden.

My wife's food was great. The staff is very accommodating. However, I would have expected more taste in the kitchen. The red cabbage wasn't exactly warm and tasted watered down. The meat of the Sauerbraten tasted like roast beef. And the sauce was a ready-made sauce. This shouldn't be the case if you write that everything is homemade. And this for a price per meal of €29.00.

Rather by chance, my wife and I ended up in Dürrengerbisdorf near Waldenburg, at the “Zur Schmiede” inn, on Sunday afternoon around 1 p.m. New winter garden, pleasant atmosphere, friendly welcome. Two types of oven-warm bread with dip. Already very tasty! The map is manageable, a good sign. We had a butter-tender beef shoulder with shallot vegetables and beef ribs with wonderfully seasoned, al dente vegetables. Both dishes were extremely tasty. Definitely worth the price of 28 euros. I haven't eaten so well in a restaurant for a long time! So if you want to experience a modern interpretation of regional cuisine, go to the “Zur Schmiede” inn.

For 2 people and only main course without each! Starter plus a few drinks around 100 euros? No, we're not willing to spend that on a small dinner somewhere in the provinces. That was really a “special” kind of experience and one that we could never justify, neither with freshness nor with sustainability. Other restaurants in the region do the same thing, just at a different price. Just a few km further.... The stars are for. Ambiance.

It happened to lead us to the Gasthof zur Schmiede and we were treated very warmly and in a lovely ambience with a delicious starter (homemade bread and dips) as well as excellent main courses. The service had everything under control and was able to explain all the dishes in detail and name the ingredients. We can only recommend a visit.

Perfect from à la carte to weddings! It is always a culinary masterpiece in a beautiful ambience. The service is top, fast & courteous. These points made my wife and I celebrate our wedding here. And everything was perfect there too! The operators and staff made our special day even more special. No matter what concerns we had, we could contact them. After the celebration I received nothing but the best feedback about the location and its staff and I can only confirm this. Highly recommended, always worth a visit!

We ended up here by chance and were absolutely not expecting such a great restaurant. Of course, no one can offer a dining experience like this at bargain prices, and we think the food was worth every penny! The winter garden is almost empty - without life. No tablecloths or at least table runners in the price range. The cutlery slides back and forth. A huge sideboard in the middle just for menus and sliced ​​bread. Ev wine.? Although there is an old sideboard. Decko plants sparse. Degestive - apertive cart or table is missing. Wine shelf ? There is a huge refrigerator in the front area with goods for sale from the kitchen. The meals were good. Tasty but not great for fine cuisine and price level. Everything was very hearty! Menu was small. Very meaty. Little choice! The 2 desserts for 9 or 10 euros were okay.no wow. So for about 120 euros, 3 courses plus 2 beers and 1 pint of wine are quite hearty. We didn't choose the most expensive dishes. Conclusion. Improvement would be appropriate for a second visit!

Because of the many positive reviews, we were really looking forward to the evening in the restaurant. The service is outstanding! The interior design was taken over from the predecessor, and a lot could certainly be optimized here. Despite everything, the ambience in the winter garden is very pleasant. Unfortunately our expectations were not met when it came to food. I have to personally say that it wasn't tasty. Some of the meat was raw and the grilled vegetables were extremely fatty. It's a real shame, especially since the prices are very high. When we asked the restaurant, a new piece of meat was brought in, which was just as raw. Despite everything, we wish the restaurant much success.

I think it's great to have such a high-quality guesthouse on site. Nice proof that nowadays it is still possible to survive in the gastronomy with class instead of quantity, even in the village. Respect and thank you for that. Wish you all the best for 2024

The food was very good, unfortunately it was very cold in the restaurant and we were the only guests in the evening. It's a shame, as I said, the food was excellent, go there yourself, it must also be worth it for the operator to open the door.

A break for the soul. The ambience is excellent. Everything is perfectly coordinated. The home-baked bread with the house-made dips before the meal was a delight. The service is friendly and attentive, explained the ingredients of the breads and dips and patiently answered all questions about them and the main menu. The latter was a taste explosion! We have never enjoyed such wonderful, authentic food! Everything is freshly prepared, only natural ingredients - you can taste it. Fantastic! This small, pretty restaurant is really an insider tip. A true taste experience! Lovingly prepared and even intolerances have been taken into account. If you want something completely out of the ordinary, you've come to the right place. Whether it's home-baked bread [also gluten-free] as a small gift or homemade sorbet for dessert, someone who definitely knows their craft cooks here.

Manchmal liegt das Gute, nein, das sehr Gute ganz nah. Sehr leckere Gerichte, frisch gekocht mit regionalen Zutaten. Super Service. Hier spürt man die Liebe zum Beruf.

07.05.2023 Hier trifft die alte Regel „ Meide Gaststätten , die aus ihrer Speisekarte ein Geheinmnis machen “ voll zu . Ich habe , für heute Mittag , einen Tisch , im Gasthof „ Zur Schmiede “ , Thierbacher Straße, Limbach-Oberfrohna , bestellt . Entscheidend für die Tischreservierung waren die guten Bewertungen auf der WEB-Seite . Entweder sind die Bewertungen gekauft oder hier hat sich die Generation „ Fertiggerichte “ ausgetobt . Ich selbst kann zu den Speisen nichts sagen , da für mich nichts genießbares dabei war und das was für mich in Frage gekommen wäre , war // Aufgegessen // . Von dem Genuschel der Kellnerin Paula habe ich nur Spargel und Spinat verstanden – zwei Reizworte . Und das zum Sonntag Mittag . Was mir noch aufgefallen ist : Bei Speisen werden die einzelnen Bestandteile extra angeboten und natürlich auch berechnet . 1 mal Zunge – 10€ . So lässt sich der Gewinn steigern . Ich höre erst einmal auf , sonst kommt zu viel Galle in diesen Bericht . 14.05.2023 Nun kann /sollte es ohne all zu viel Emotionen weiter gehen . Die Speisekarte wird wöchentlich neu geschrieben – ist auch besser so . An Speisen , wie ich sie mir zu Mittag vorstelle , sehr übersichtlich . In erster Linie gab es Spargel , in verschieden Variationen , aber alles auf Chiki Micki gemacht . Die Preise sind , für eine Dorfgaststätte , am Ende der Welt , ganz schön heftig . 500g Spargel , mit selbstgemachter ?? Sauce Hollandaise und Rinderzunge -32,00 € . Wo kauft der Wirt seine Zutaten ein ? Eine kleine Apfelschorle besteht aus 1 Flasche Apfelsaft und 1 Flasche Wasser . In Σ 0,4 l für angenehme 4,90€ . Stellt sich für mich noch einmal die Frage : Wo kauft ihr ein ? Ich höre jetzt auf , aber in 35 Jahren Außendienst , weltweit , habe ich so etwas noch nicht erlebt . Weder in der Käfer-Schenke München noch bei Richter in Chemnitz und schon gar nicht im RAMA International oder im Adler Chemnitz . 80km für einmal ärgern und zurück . Für mich die Pleite des Jahres .

Wir waren zu einer Familienfeier in der "Schmiede". Die gemeinsam mit Herrn Körner geplanten Speisen und Getränke waren ein voller Erfolg und unsere Gäste sehr zufrieden. Der schöne dekorierte Raum wurde zu einer wunderbaren Kulisse für unsere Feier. Vielen Dank an die Gastwirtschaft.

Wir waren heute da. Lammrücken, gebackener Broilerbrust, Zicklein. Es war sensationell. Selbst gebackenes Brot mit Dipp, wunderlecker. Die Location mit absoluter Liebe zum Detail und sensationeller Küche. Danke für alles! Es müssten 10 Sterne zu vergeben sein. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Der erste Besuch war sicher nicht der Letzte. Angefangen vom Service, über das Ambiente bis hin zum sehr leckeren Essen ist alles stimmig. 👍🏻

Wer geschmacklich etwas erleben will und Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit legt ist hier genau richtig! Die Karte ist übersichtlich und wechselt ständig. Die Gerichte sind handwerkloch auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Die Getränkekarte bietet eine grosse Auswahl. Lobenswert ist auch das Personal was sehr nett und zuvorkommend ist. Der Koch welcher auch der Inhaber des Restaurants ist erkundigt sich immer nach seinen Gästen. Preislich ist es hier gehoben was man aber für die Qualität gerne bezahlt. Schön so ein tolles Restaurant in der Nachbarschaft zu haben.

Prima in jeder Hinsicht. Wer nicht aus 20 Speisen wählen, aber gut in bester Atmosphäre essen will, ist hier richtig.

Wir haben noch nie so eine tolle, knusprige Gans gegessen, Klöße und Rotkraut waren ebenfalls der Hammer! Absolut zu empfehlen! Da wird mit Können und Hingabe gekocht 👌 Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr leckeres Essen. Die Größe der Portionen und deren Qualität rechtfertigen auch den Preis. Schnelle, freundliche Bedienung und angenehmes Ambiente. Einziger Wermutstropfen: für Kids ist die Speisenauswahl sicher noch optimierbar, obwohl die leckeren Klöße sicher immer gehen!

Wir waren am Freitag zum Essen im Gasthof zur Schmiede. Empfangen wurden wir total herzlich und ein schöner Platz im Wintergarten war für uns vorgesehen. Das Ambiente ist Elegant und schlicht gehalten, ganz passend zur Philosophie und den Speisen. Wir aßen einmal das Gänsemenü und einmal a la carte. Das Menü war so toll zubereitet, die Suppe mit Gänseklein war der Auftakt, sehr schön reduziert und würzig. Die Brust und Keule im Hauptgang ein absoluter Traum, da merkt man dass Wert auf gute Qualität gelegt wird. Der Süße Abschluss verzauberte mit einem gefüllten Bratapfel. Mein Partner startete mit einem Spinatsalat, mit Dressing aus Quitte und Dijonsenf, abgerundet mit Cashewkernen war herausragend, die Kombination hat uns beide vom Hocker gehauen. Als Hauptgang entschied er sich für Zanderfilet auf Rahmsauerkraut. Qualität auch hier überragend!!! Eine Nugattarte bot den Süßen Abschluss und war so fein, wie man eine Tarte aus Frankreich kennt- himmlisch! Ein absolut tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für diese Topqualität, Regionalität und Frische!!!! Wir wünschen weiterhin viel Erfolg, macht weiter so 🙏🏽

Das Essen war top und frisch nur ein bisschen mehr Auswahl wäre schön und ein Steak unter 300g ... das Ambiente könnte etwas mehr dem Namen entsprechen etwas kahl drinnen dafür ist der Koch und die Bedienung sehr nett und geben bestmögliche Auskünfte

Essen war sehr lecker. Nur bei den Preisen scheint es nach oben kein Limit zu geben. Kinderpotion Pommes für 4,50€, Erwachsenen Portion (gefühlt 5 Pommes mehr) 14,90€. Wahnsinn. Das gleiche hatten wir noch mit den Nudeln.

Ein Herzliches Willkommen ist hier gewiss. So ein gutes Restaurant, muß man in Leipzig lange suchen 1h Fahrt hat sich 100% gelohnt. So ein leckeres Essen hatte ich sehr lange nicht. Man merkt das ein Meister der Chef ist. Das war der erste Besuch, weitere folgen mit der Familie und weiteren Freunden.

Wer Wert auf Qualität jenseits vom Gastrogroßhandel legt sollte hier mal einkehren. Sehr gute Küche und freundliche Menschen :)

Alles war super, eine Traumlocation, super sauber, der Service war perfekt. Das Essen ein Gedicht. Familiäres Umfeld. Immer gerne wieder.

Regionale Produkte treffen auf internationale Küche! Hervorragende Küche, angenehmes Ambiente und sympathischer und sehr aufmerksamer Service. Mit Sicherheit nicht unser letzter Besuch.
