Wirklich KLASSE Essen. Wir waren zu 4 da, hatten die Briza, Schnitzel, Zwiebelrostbraten, Cordon Bleu und Kaiserschmarrn und es war wirklich Richtig Lecker!! Sehr freundliches Personal und wirklich einfach weiterzuempfehlen.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit im Gasthof zum Oberen Wirt gefeiert und hätten uns keine bessere Location wünschen können. Die gesamte Abstimmung im Vorfeld war unkompliziert, herzlich und professionell. Alle unsere Wünsche konnten umgesetzt werden, sämtliche Fragen und Themen wurden vorab proaktiv mit uns besprochen. Dadurch hatten wir jederzeit ein sehr gutes Gefühl und konnten unserer Feier ganz entspannt entgegenblicken. Unsere freie Trauung fand im Stüberl statt, anschließend haben wir im Saal gefeiert. Den Sektempfang konnten wir mit Augustiner aus dem Fass im kleinen Biergarten genießen. Alles war perfekt vorbereitet und hat super zu unserem Tag gepasst. Die Feier war wunderschön, der Service hervorragend und das Essen hat alle Gäste begeistert. Wir können den Gasthof allen Hochzeitspaaren von Herzen empfehlen. Vielen Dank, dass ihr unseren Tag so unvergesslichen gemacht habt, liebe Jaqueline, Philipp und das ganze Team!

Rahmschwammerl mit Fertig/Päckchensoße, "bayrische" Ente frittiert wie beim Chinesen, süße soße, fettig. Nie wieder.

Tolles Wirtshaus idyllisch gelegen neben Kirche und Maibaum. Das Stüberl im Keller hat Charme mit dem Gewölbe. Der Service war super und Essen ausgezeichnet. Der Kaiserschmarrn als Nachspeise ist besonders zu erwähnen.

Sehr nettes bay. Lokal. Leider war beim Schnitzel kein Salat/Gemüse dabei..

Am Wochenende waren wir hinter Fürstenfeldbruck unterwegs. Für den Rückweg suchte ich eine Wirtschaft zum Einkehren, die annähernd auf unserem Rückweg lag und ich fand den Oberen Wirt in Gilching. Die Kommunikation mit dem Lokal zur Tischreservierung war vorbildlich. Er erhielt eine vorab Rückmeldung und bald darauf auch die endgültige Reservierungsbestätigung. So stand unserem Besuch nichts mehr im Weg. Im Gasthof wurden wir von zwei freundlichen Kellnern begrüßt. Der Gastraum war modern bayerisch mit hellem Holz gestaltet. Nachdem wir an unserem netten, kleinen Zweier-Tisch Platz genommen hatten, ging es an die Bestellung. Wir bestellten Milzwurst mit Kartoffelsalat, einen gemischten Salat mit gegrilltem Ziegenkäse und zur Nachspeise Apfekiachal. Alkoholfreie Biere sollten unsere Speisenauswahl begleiten. Ich freute mich sehr, dass bachane Milzwurst auf der Karte stand, da ich diese sehr gerne esse. Der Kartoffelsalat entpuppte sich als Kartoffel-Gurken-Salat, den ich auch sehr schätze. Natürlich wurde ein Töpferl Safterl á part serviert - alles klassisch bayerisch. Die Ziegenkäsemedaillons unter der Honig-Sesam-Glasur an buntem Blattsalat der Saison hatte eine gute Qualität und schmeckte sehr gut. Der Ziegenkäse ergänzte den gemischten Salat hervorragend, der unnötigerweise mit Melone und Orange ausgarniert war. Die hausgemachten Apfelkiache waren in Zimtzucker gewälzt und wurden von Bourbon-Vanilleeis und Schlagrahm begleitet. Die Kiachal waren goldgelb ausgebacken, aber leider hatte der Apfel innen wenig Hitze abbekommen, war mir zu hart, so dass das Kiachal für mich schwer zu essen war. Der Gasthof zum oberen Wirt hat eine wöchentlich wechselnde Mittagskarte mit je drei Gerichten darauf. Alles in allem lieferte die Küche eine solide Leistung, wir waren zufrieden und zahlten ca. 50 € für das ganze Essen. Wenn wir wieder in dieser Ecke des Brucker Landes unterwegs sein sollten, kehren wir gerne wieder beim Oberen Wirt in Gilching ein.

Geburtstagsfeier. Super Lokal, Super Service und sehr gutes Essen.

Mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant, das Essen ist immer top und sehr Qualitativ und lecker. Es wird nie an Beilagen oder Ketchup Mayo etc gespart und die Preise sind auch wunderbar. Mittlerweile habe ich sehr viel von der Karte probiert und kann sagen das es nicht eine Sache gab die mir nicht geschmeckt hat. Das Personal ist ebenfalls super nett und hilfsbereit. Sehr lecker Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. Die Bestellung wurde zügig durchgeführt. Essen frisch und lecker. Freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal. Nach dem Wechsel des Inhabers gehen wir ab und zu immer noch gerne hier hin. Der Biergarten im Sommer ist auch ganz nett.

Sehr feine Küche und außerordentlich freundlicher Service machten einen sehr angenehmes Erlebnis. Im großen Saal im 1. Stock ist es allerdings recht laut - in der Wirtschaft selbst wars angenehm sich zu unterhalten

Das Cordon Bleu war sehr lecker!

UPDATE 03.2026 Leider muss ich meine gute und damals von Herzen kommende Rezension zurücknehmen. Am Wochenende war ich im Bauerntheater und das Essen war weit unter der von früher gewohnten Qualität. Ich habe dies auch ganz offen kommuniziert und den extra Salat sogar zurück gehen lassen.... Es kam keine Reaktion. Auch die restlichen Gerichte waren bei uns am Tisch nicht lecker......anscheinend traut sich aber kaum jemand dies zu sagen. Und wenn Frau dann nach dem Toilettengang die Hände waschen will - und wird dabei komplett nass, da das Wasser in alle Richtungen spritzt....nicht schön. Hier bekommt man richtig gutes Essen, feine Getränke und mega leckeren Nachtisch. Der Service war bei uns immer freundlich - obwohl manchmal wirklich richtig viel los ist und dementsprechend die Damen und Herren vom Service stark gefordert sind. Von mir ein 'doppel Daumen hoch' für diese Leistung!

Wirklich gut Wir waren zu dritt (2 Erwachsene, ein Kind) an einem Sonntag Mittag da. Es gibt eigene kostenlose Parkplätze vor dem Restaurant. Die Gaststube war gut gefüllt, wir haben aber noch einen Tisch bekommen. Für das Kind gab es eine extra Karte zum Ausmalen. Auch gibt es draußen einen kleinen Spielplatz. Die Gaststube ist schon eingerichtet, passt zum "bürgerlichen" Auftritt des Restaurants. Ich habe mich da wohlgefühlt, lediglich war es vielleicht einen Ticken zu laut (aber, wie gesagt, bei vollem Restaurant). Die Bedienung war freundlich, die Wartezeit für die Speisen war kurz. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt! Auch das Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis ist prima. Die Portionsgröße hat auch gepasst. Alles in allem wirklich gut. Den Saal und das "Stüberl" habe ich nicht betreten, denke aber das wird ähnlich sein.

Hervorragend sehr zu empfehlen! Wir kommen wieder.

Urige Gaststube, wir waren in der unteren gesessen, hatten bei der Reservierung aber auch keinen Wunsch angegeben. Angenehm ist dass die Tische mit genügend Abstand zueinander stehen, sodass es sich sehr gut im Raum verteilt und nicht super laut war. Wir konnten als Gruppe dort super sitzen. Die Bank zum Sitzen war hart ohne Polster (es war nur ein ganz dünnes, mehr wie ein Teppich, hier waren gescheite Polster an jedem Tisch super vielleicht als kleine Anregung) Das Essen war insgesamt sehr lecker. Besonders gut fanden wir: Das Schnitzel mit Meerrettich war mit frischem Kren drauf gerieben. Das war top! Semmelknödel hat uns persönlich nicht ganz so geschmeckt, ist aber wie viele Dinge ja auch einfach Geschmackssache. Alle Speisen waren wirklich schön angerichtet und große Portionen, sodasss alle gut satt geworden sind. Kartoffelsalat schmeckte sehr lecker und auch der kleine Beilagensalat war gut. Auch die tolle Auswahl an Desserts fanden wir super und alle haben uns durchweg super geschmeckt! Es gibt eine tolle Kinderkarte mit Auswahl für die Kids und Stifte zum malen. Das war super für uns mit kleinen Kindern! Der Service war am Anfang auch wirklich klasse, und unsere Servicekraft sehr freundlich - leider war unsere Servicekraft oft dann längere Zeit nicht im Raum, wir vermuten sie hat im anderen Speisesaal ausgeholfen, weil dort zwei Feiern waren. Es war auch insgesamt relativ voll heute. Das war dennoch schade, weil wir dadurch sowohl nach dem Hauptgang als auch Dessert lange vor leer gegessenen Tellern und leeren Gläsern saßen und niemand kam. Insgesamt hat es es uns aber wirklich gut gefallen, wir kommen gerne wieder und passen unsere Bewertung dann ggf nochmal an - vielleicht hatten wir mit dem Service heute einfach Pech und es gab ggf einen größeren Ausfall an Kollegen, der kompensiert werden musste!

A traditional inn with charm and very friendly and attentive service! The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. They even have non-alcoholic Augustiner beer! They even had shandy 😃 Plenty of parking. Reservations are recommended (easy online). We'd love to come back! We visited the inn for a Christmas party. The soup as a starter gave us hope, but the cordon bleu as the main course shattered all hope and any belief in decent value for money. On the plate was a perfectly rectangular, breaded piece of something. Almost puzzled, wondering whether it was an oversized fish stick or if the meat on every plate had been cut with a stencil, we realized, at the latest upon eating it, that it was a frozen product of the worst quality. Absolutely tasteless, processed meat; neither the ham nor the cheese even remotely registered on the palate. An absolute outrage for almost €20! Honestly – do you eat what you serve your guests?

A very good Bavarian restaurant with a well-stocked menu, generous portions on the plates, and delicious food. Super friendly service. Prices are reasonable. Definitely recommended. But don't forget to make a reservation ;-)

We had a very good meal here. The restaurant is cozy, and the service is very friendly. We will be back.

I went in with a group of friends who were all ordering and they kicked me out because I didn't order anything save for water.

Excellent food, we didnt realize hot food as only available certain hours but the server was very nice and we were able to return shortly for dinner. She spoke excellent english so even with our limited german there were no issues. The portions were large and i especially enjoyed the "small" pretzel and cheese spread. We did not have a reservation but were seated immediately- she just let us know they would need the table by 8, which was plenty of time to enjoy our meal.

We celebrated our church wedding here last week with 90 people and are still thrilled! The organization was seamless, and we were always available to answer any questions or requests. The team at Oberer Wirt fulfilled our every wish. My husband even got to tap the beer keg himself, which was a little dream come true for him. :) The service is incredibly attentive and prompt; at the end of the party, the lovely staff even cleared away our own table decorations so we could easily pick them up the next day. All of our guests had a wonderful time, too. We thank the entire team for this wonderful celebration and will definitely be back soon!

Today, we had meatballs with colleagues. We wondered where the meat was because, judging by the consistency, there couldn't have been much. According to the menu, it was supposed to be seasoned with marjoram and flat-leaf parsley, but there was no sign of that in either the look or taste. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment, considering the other dishes had made a good impression :-(

We were hired as a band for a wedding. The staff was super attentive. Always on the ball and never irritating. The food was excellent and the portions were reasonable – and the price was reasonable. Highly recommended.

At the Gasthof zum Oberen Wirt, only a limited number of dishes are served, which usually indicates higher-quality cuisine. This is also the case here. In addition to a few daily specials, there is the regular menu, which, as expected, is rather meat-heavy. After ordering, there is a wait. This speaks volumes about the kitchen. Indications of food intolerances are taken seriously. If you are unsure, the kitchen will be contacted again. The service is generally good, but not outstanding. The food is delicious and tastes fresh. The portions are generous. There is a separate children's menu, which is quite varied and goes beyond the usual fries. The menu can be colored in, and appropriate markers are provided. The prices are moderate. It's worth eating here. We'll be happy to return. Since others feel the same way, making a reservation is highly recommended.

Our current experience – unfortunately, disappointing this time We have been guests at this restaurant for many years and have hosted numerous family celebrations here. However, we were a bit disappointed yesterday: • The turkey in the fitness salad was very dry and unfortunately didn't seem freshly prepared, but rather warmed up. • Some lettuce leaves weren't cleaned properly, but overall the salad was fresh. • The portion of fries with the schnitzel was quite small this time. Otherwise, everything was fine, and the service was friendly as always. However, we didn't find the value for money this time – especially the fitness salad for €17.90, in our opinion, is disproportionate to the quality. We will take a short break for now and return to Alling/Biburg more often in the future.

A superb restaurant with a beer garden under chestnut trees! Reservations are recommended. A beautiful chime resonates from the village church every hour on the hour – something you rarely hear these days. The service is also excellent – ​​very attentive and customer-focused. We visited the beer garden with friends – the food was simply outstanding. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant – everything was just right, and the atmosphere during our stay was simply wonderful!

There was a problem right from the start with the reservation – we had reserved the beer garden, but there was only room on the (much less shady) terrace – "the colleague made a mistake." Then we fell victim to an overzealous kitchen crew: instead of the salad we ordered as an appetizer, the main course arrived in a flash, followed by the salad immediately afterward... The suckling pig was dry to the point of being tough, the sauce was bland, the potato dumplings had the perfect consistency but were as flavorless as the sauce. The highlight, however, was the coleslaw! The apple fritters were also great! All in all – you don't need to come here. Even the very, very nice waiter can't make up for that.

I've been there several times over the past few years. I've known the restaurant for over 25 years and can't fault it; in fact, I can only praise everything. Excellent food, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff...

We were in the beer garden yesterday, and as far as the food goes, I can't quite figure out what was supposed to be good about it. The beer roast was really, really salty and was only edible with the potato and cucumber salad, which had almost no taste. The giant currywurst had obviously been on the grill since mid-morning, the fries were dry, and the curry sauce was also unbearable. Only the Gilchinger schnitzel was so-so, although the fried potatoes had almost no taste. To sum it up, we definitely won't be going back because, apart from the far too high prices, the restaurant is below average.

The worst cheese spaetzle I've ever eaten. Fried onions (confinière) and roasted rock-hard in the deep fryer. The supposedly boned duck was the same deep-fried piece I get at an Asian restaurant. Only not sweet and sour, but with dumplings and red cabbage.

Spontan am Sonntagabend angerufen und gefragt ob noch ein Platz verfügbar ist - er war verfügbar. Dort eingetroffen ist sofort die gemütliche Gaststube aufgefallen. Traditionell aber nicht altbacken. Die Karte schließt sich dem an. Bayrische Wirtshausklassiker und saisonal eine Spargelkarte. Leider war der Hirsch am Abend schon aus (da wurde auch direkt drauf hingewiesen). Also wurden es 2 Suppen, die Ente und der Schweinekrustenbraten. Das Essen kam zügig und war einfach nur lecker. Die Portionen waren für sehr gute Esser ausgelegt. Service schnell und freundlich. Preis-/Leistung passt total. Genügend Parkplätze waren vorhanden und Zahlung per Karte war ohne Probleme möglich.

For me, the Obere Wirt is a guarantee of a cultivated Bavarian lifestyle. Great, freshly tapped beer, exceptionally good cuisine and all at really reasonable prices. I come here regularly with my family and have never had a bad experience.

If you like Bavarian cuisine, you'll get your money's worth here. The roast venison was very tasty. The portions are plentiful. The extremely attentive and friendly service is remarkable. We always feel very comfortable.
