A very nice inn and the food was also very delicious.

Super nice team, delicious buffet, we'll gladly come again.

The schnitzel buffet was fantastic, the food was great, only the vegetables (too al dente and dry) didn't quite live up to our expectations! But everything else was delicious, we were full and will definitely come back!

We ate here on Saturday with 14 people, and everyone was very satisfied. The food was delicious. My highlight was the fried potatoes. Unfortunately, not everyone can cook them well. :-) But the burgers, schnitzel, etc. were also very good. The waiters were all very friendly, not pushy, but they checked the table regularly to make sure everything was okay. That's how it should be. If we're in the area again, we'll come back.

The chanterelles were very dry, cooked too long. It's typical of a local restaurant... If you can sit outside, the ambiance is very rustic, under the many trees. It's probably very nice in midsummer.

Everything was very good, the food was delicious, and the two young waitresses were very friendly and welcoming, especially the young man. However, one waitress, an older woman, was extremely pushy and made comments about our food orders, such as, "I have something to complain about because I CANCELLED TOMATOES." I don't want to receive comments about my food choices and criticism of my taste from a waitress. So, this encounter wasn't particularly helpful. Otherwise, I'd be happy to go back 👍 Everything else was great.

The restaurant is located a little way outside of Bad Pyrmont, on a campsite near a forest. It's idyllic and cozy, with great service and superb food. I've been there several times in the last few months and I'm always impressed. Rustic, delicious cuisine, and the dishes are prepared with love and fresh ingredients. You can taste that everything is fresh and homemade. I'd love to come back.

We were there for the schnitzel buffet on Sunday. We enjoyed it. The quality of the food was very good. The price-performance ratio was good. The staff was polite and friendly. The chef, who kept refilling the food, was particularly nice. We'll definitely be back at the campsite again. Then, of course, we'll be going back to the inn for dinner. Thank you for the lovely evening.

My wife was thrilled with her vegetarian flammkuche, and that was the positive. The staff were more interested in each other than the guests, and we had to beg to be served. The schnitzel was a six, but no more than that, as were the fried potatoes and the homemade ice cream. The beilagen salat (salad) is ridiculous. They should do away with that. We had reservations for two evenings, but we cancelled the second evening, and that says it all.

I stumbled upon this little gem by chance on a bike ride on Saturday. After a quick look around, I sat down at the bar with the friendly and handsome tapper. We had a pleasant chat, and the shandy and the Detmolder Dunkel went down well. The entire staff was busy but very friendly. I had a schnitzel with chanterelle mushrooms and fried potatoes. Excellent value for money. Unfortunately, I didn't have a tent with me, but I'll bring one next time. They apparently offer several alternating buffet evenings, including some with vegetarian options, which I think is great. That said, there are already plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. So there seems to be something for everyone, young and old. Highly recommended!

Very nice place with a great beer garden. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food (schnitzel buffet) was perfectly fine, with a small selection but plentiful and delicious. Otherwise, everything was clean and tidy. We'd be happy to come back.

Unfortunately closed for vacation. It's a shame to close a popular restaurant in the summer.

We discovered the Gasthoff Schellental Inn by chance during our walks. We liked it so much that we ate there three times. There was nothing to complain about; we'd love to come back. A truly idyllic place to linger.

We went to the schnitzel buffet. The schnitzels were completely gone the first time we went to the buffet, and it took a while to get refilled. Every time, half the offerings were empty, with no plates or anything. We were very disappointed.

We had two delicious meals. The menu is excellent with plenty of choices, including ones for children. The service is friendly. The price-quality ratio is good.

Very welcoming and friendly. Party of 5 with 5 different meals. Food was outstanding and plentyful, even the small portion option was more than enough. I was particularly impressed by the Bratkartoffeln, not greasy at all and just the right amount of seasoning. Prices are ok, you get brilliant food and service for your money. Will definitely be back when visiting the area.

A gem in the countryside! Very friendly service (I've rarely experienced such friendly and personable service!), a beautiful beer garden, the schnitzel buffet is excellent in quality and taste, absolutely worth it even for me as a vegetarian. Excellent value for money! Be sure to make a reservation, as it's always busy. The "regular" menu is also varied and the dishes delicious. The restaurant, like the campsite, invites you to come back again and again!

The food was delicious, everything fresh. The service was very pleasant, friendly, and accommodating. We'd be happy to come back (fresh trout with fried potatoes and the lava cake in the photos).

We made a reservation online. It worked perfectly. We sat in the cozy beer garden. Our order was taken quickly and served even faster, even though the restaurant was full. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We felt completely at home.

Delicious food, especially the schnitzel buffet with options for vegetarians and meat lovers. A great atmosphere. The beer garden under the trees is a wonderful place to linger.

The inn's beautiful location offers a small but fine menu with delicious schnitzel variations. Despite the busy schedule, the service was very attentive; we even asked for crispy fried potatoes, and it was granted. The price/performance ratio is good; you're happy to pay a little more for good quality. The kids were also satisfied.

It's always a pleasure to come back to Schellental. The location, the restaurant, the staff, the food, and the way it's presented. With this all-round package, it's easy to become a repeat visitor.

Disappointing Evening Despite Great Anticipation We had previously researched the menu online and were looking forward to a special burger evening – the selection sounded creative and promising. Accordingly, we reserved a table. When we arrived at the inn, it was very crowded, but we managed to snag a seat outside. However, the atmosphere was very hectic – people were milling around everywhere, which didn't feel very relaxing. Only when we wanted to order were we told that there would only be a grill buffet that evening – something we hadn't been told when we made the reservation over the phone or when we were assigned a table. We were very disappointed, as we weren't interested in a buffet. In retrospect, this explained the hectic atmosphere: The buffet attracted many guests from the neighboring campsite, and the atmosphere had more of a cafeteria feel than the charm of a cozy inn with a beer garden under the trees. Since this wasn't at all what we had expected, we left the restaurant. It's a shame – with a little better communication, disappointment could have easily been avoided.

I ate here with my family for the first time. I think the idea behind it - organic and regional - supporting the local people is great. The schnitzels were tasty and juicy; I liked that they were cut a bit smaller than such huge lumps that dry out quickly. The vegetables and mushroom sauce could have done with more seasoning. And it was a shame that the croquettes were gone so quickly that when we went back for more there were no more left; I really like croquettes, which is why it was so disappointing. The service was friendly and the drinks came quickly. The atmosphere was nice with the birdsong 😉 but the furniture wasn't that great and was a bit uncomfortable if you sit there for a while. What bothered me personally were the many dogs... dog hair from shaking the animals and food is not acceptable, as it quickly flies through the air. Otherwise, the Schellental was a nice experience and I would recommend it.

Very idyllic location. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. The organic quality and the support of local farms are particularly noteworthy. We were also pleased that there is a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. We would be happy to come back!

I'm sitting here with my wife at the asparagus buffet. We're full to the brim...a fantastic destination and a beautiful campsite. I've never eaten asparagus like this...5 stars for everything, including the service....

It was busy, so reservations are recommended. Nevertheless, everything went quickly and was flawless. I'd be happy to go back!

The food is all organic, and a lot of it is vegan. It's delicious. The service is very friendly, attentive, and polite.

We had asparagus with boiled potatoes hollandaise and schnitzel in the beer garden. Everything was great: fresh potatoes, asparagus with a bite, and a fantastic schnitzel. We're camping, which also worked out great. Thank you, Thorsten and Gisela Petersen.

There was an asparagus buffet. Three courses with a wide selection of asparagus, other vegetables, and salads. Plus schnitzel and cooked ham with various potato variations. Not to mention the sauces. Everything was very, very delicious!

There is a good selection of vegan dishes, these are clearly marked. There's even homemade vegan ice cream. We enjoyed everything very much. The service was also very attentive and friendly, and we also liked the atmosphere. We can only recommend this restaurant.

During our stay at the campsite, we reserved a table in the restaurant. The service was very friendly and not intrusive. The food was tasty and plentiful. A good restaurant on site where you can just stop for a drink every now and then. There are seats inside, on the terrace and in the beer garden. For further visits to the campsite, the restaurant remains our first choice. Thanks to the entire team!

Unfortunately that was nothing. We returned after a long bike ride. Various soups of the day were posted on the sign. The rather bored conditions then informed us: "no hot kitchen!" OK. There was only a very limited selection of cakes at 3 p.m. The cream cake was quite warm. The cake, the coffee and the ice cream then came to the table in drizzles... The prices were ok, even though the pieces of cake were also very small. All in all, kind of disappointing...we left hungry.

Were there for the Easter buffet. Quiet location. The buffet was okay, we would have been happy if there had been some asparagus. The children had fun in the playroom and we as parents were able to enjoy the food. The dessert was delicious. The meat was too cooked for us. The soup was very tasty and the salad selection was fresh. All the staff were very friendly and loved children.

Top it is highly recommended Tarte flambée with goat cheese is highly recommended

We went to the vegetarian/vegan buffet. We liked the location straight away. The decoration was very nice. The food was great. Taste-wise and visually. There was a great offer for young and old. And you could also score points with the service. Successful evening and we hope that it will happen more often :)

Running your restaurant politically is not possible!! And then to take over democracy for yourself!! Impossible…!!!!

I think it's good that the menu is limited to a few dishes, but serves them in different variations in very good quality and at reasonable prices. I would therefore happily recommend this restaurant

We have been guests in Schellental several times. Most recently on Valentine's Day, when we were able to enjoy a three-course menu. The food was really perfect. There's really nothing to complain about. Added to this was the extremely friendly staff. And we also like the ambience, even if it was perhaps a little too brightly lit that evening. But that's moaning at a high level. We always look forward to an evening in Schellental, which always offers special offers (pasta buffet, schnitzel buffet, kale buffet, etc.). The team comes up with something and, in my opinion, it is well received by many guests.

Wir sind keine Vegetarier, aber wir haben das Vegane-Vegetarische-Buffet in vollen Zügen genossen. Alles war superlecker. Das Fleisch haben wir absolut nicht vermisst. Auch die Desserts kann man nur empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

New Year's Eve celebration was great. very good service. But the DJ just wasn't suitable for the celebration. The music requests were hardly taken into account, a shame for the occasion.

Stopped by and had something to eat during the bike tour. Mega tasty. Homemade soup, the salad with hummus was great. The other dishes all looked great too.

Although the menu is relatively small, the food is very, very good. The service is very nice and always on the ball. In general a very nice restaurant and definitely worth a visit.

We went to Schellental for Christmas dinner for the second time and were again very satisfied.

We were there today for the Christmas buffet, the food was very tasty and attractively presented with small compromises for the potato gratin, but that's a matter of taste. The service was unobtrusive and very friendly. The guest room is a little more modern. We liked it.

….., mitten im grünen Schellental. Der Gasthof ist ein gemütliches Refugium für gute, bodenständige Küche mit netten „Mädels“ (16.12.23) im Service. Mein Schnitzel „Schellental“ - mit Camembert und Preiselbeeren war wirklich ein tolles Esserlebnis. Das gezapfte Landbier ist ebenso lecker. Wander oder Campingausflug (der Platz ist gleich neben dem Restaurant) hierhin lohnt sich!
