A bit out of the way, but well worth the trip. Excellent food and friendly people. Highly recommended.

It's all about the people. We felt completely at ease and have absolutely nothing to complain about. We would come back anytime. There were two of us hiking the Neckarsteig trail, and we spent two nights at the Gasthof Linde.

Room was okay, but no coffee bar or refrigerator. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Service was very attentive and friendly. Room and bathroom were clean.

We didn't stay overnight here, but we ate here. Absolutely delicious home-cooked food. We've rarely had such good fries and cordon bleu. The garlic dressing on the salad was simply amazing. 👍🏼

The family business is well-run. The rooms are tidy and clean. The food is very good. We stayed here for a week and felt comfortable. I think the price for the overnight stay is very reasonable. The food is also delicious and adequate, not to mention inexpensive. We would come back if we didn't go somewhere else every year. Thank you very much.

A year later, we ate here again, and what a disappointment. The pork tenderloin was overcooked, the peppercorn sauce was flavorless, and the Spätzle was as dry as a rock. Such a shame. We reported it immediately, but nothing was offered to compensate us. We'll never go back.

The inn is a bit dated, but the host is helpful and friendly. The location is good—ideal for exploring Eberbach or taking trips nearby, and there's parking right on the farm. The breakfast was decent. Given the low price, we didn't have high expectations, so the overall package was fine. It's perfectly suitable for a short stay if you don't have any special requirements.

We were recommended a spontaneous overnight stay for a good price. This turned out to be the case. We were satisfied with the room and breakfast. The hosts were cheerful and very accommodating. We were able to load and store our bikes in a garage. The dinner was delicious and also very good value for money. We highly recommend it. If you have high standards and are happy to pay a lot for an overnight stay, you simply shouldn't stay here.

Simple inn, but perfect for hiking with a good breakfast. Unfortunately, it's located a bit outside the center.

We hiked the Neckarsteig and were very satisfied. We slept very well. The food (schnitzel and cheese spaetzle) is definitely recommended. We would come back again.

We booked three nights for 11 people as part of an Odenwald vintage scooter tour. Some things were very disappointing. Breakfast and dinner were uninspired, and the kitchen lacked professionalism. Side dishes were served without the main course or with a delay. A reported large lump of dirt/ash in a cream of asparagus soup was not apologized for or commented on. The guesthouse opposite requires crossing a completely neglected front garden. It's all a real shame.

A cheap restaurant with simple cuisine. Rooms and breakfast are too expensive, though. If you turn a blind eye, it's fine overall.

We've been here several times but haven't been here for a long time. We were happy to come here again as we have always been satisfied with the price, service and facilities in the past. And that is the case this time too. The old house with the old furniture is and was always clean and very lovingly decorated. Food was great, plenty of choice at breakfast. Overall, the Münch couple were rather reserved, but still courteous and friendly. If something is missing - you can talk to Münchs. If you don't like old furnishings, need a rolled out red carpet and a breakfast with a huge selection, you'll have to look for another house and pay a lot more for it. We'd love to come back! Absolutely recommended!! A super good price-performance ratio! We hiked the Neckarsteig and were so well received. Even though it is an old building, our room with a renovated bathroom was completely sufficient, even with a small terrace where we sat down for the time being. Everything very clean. The food in the evening was delicious, as was the breakfast, plentiful and with everything that went with it. The friendly innkeeper rounded everything off even more. What more could you want?

So for the price of 87 euros per night it is not recommended because it is simply very cheaply furnished because the smallest TV on the market has a plastic shower curtain, shampoo only in a small pack (package of glasses cleaning cloths) and the toilet is not completely tight. Uncomfortable beds. Cleanliness gives 3 stars because the bed and the first room are clean, the bathroom could be better from the bottom there are still hairs found The greeting was very cold, as if they didn't want any guests in this house. Just like that, the farewell wouldn't even ask if everything went well. Unfortunately no pictures were taken

We live in Eberbach and come here for dinner. We can't comment on the rooms. Mrs. Münch is very friendly and helpful. We had the Zurich-style schnitzel with pumpkin seed rösti and the pork medallion with cheese spaetzle. It was delicious. From the salad to the drinks, there are only good things to say.

I was looking for a cozy convenient budget cycling base for a few days and the Linde was great a couple. of blocks from the center (that's why it is cheaper) but I walked into town in about 10 minutes excellent food in the restaurant. except for the closed day (Tuesday) you have everything you need here. oh and best, in cool weather they have a fire going in the dining room . very cozy. there is actually an indoor pool in the adjacent building. but I didn't find it until my last day (and I am not an indoor swimmer)

The good things: I slept well for reasonable money, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, the water in the shower was warm. Therefore, my basic needs were covered. On the other hand, the inn was not convincing. Why not? There were a lot of little things, all of which are probably acceptable and explainable, but which as a whole leave a bad impression. It started when I arrived - after 7 hours of hiking in the rain - pretty wet and tired and was looking forward to a rustic inn. Even though the fireplace was roaring, the reception was disorganized and not particularly inviting. The operator was the first to report, almost accusingly, that the internet wasn't working and therefore he had no information about the expected guests. That can happen, but you can certainly package it differently. One of the sons (I assume) took me upstairs to the room and he needed a little strength to open the door which scraped against the floor. The folder with information about the inn was partly updated by hand - but in such a way that you couldn't read everything. The WiFi password was illegible. And for whatever reason, I couldn't get into WiFi with the PW for the ground floor either. The shower head had several settings, but the “normal” setting didn’t work. The breakfast was carelessly prepared, the rolls seemed to be from the day before. Sausage and cheese didn't look particularly inviting either. There were used glasses and empty bottles on the counter - they were already there the night before. The whole dining room (= the breakfast room) looked uninviting because it was pretty untidy. There was a lot of rubbish in front of the fireplace, the chairs were all over the place, there was a used handkerchief under a table, and there were vases with a withered flower on each table. After I signaled to the operator that I wanted to pay, his wife came and simply greeted me with “cash or card?” Kindness looks different. Conclusion: The accommodation is fine for accommodation. However, if you are looking for friendliness and cosiness – at least a little bit – this is not for you. The operators don't give the impression that they are making any special effort.

A cozy hotel and a cozy city. I read through the reviews and noticed that it might be hostile to foreigners, which I can wholeheartedly agree with. We received a very warm welcome and everything looks very well maintained, even if it is getting old, but at the same time it has a nice character. I would recommend that everyone get their own impression of the inn. In my opinion, still recommended.

As an overnight guest, I can pass on my impressions here: The reception was pretty taciturn. Above all, the furnishings of the room and the bed are reminiscent of great-grandmother's times! The bathroom had been renovated, the cleanliness was so-so, there was still some hair left on the tiled wall from the previous tenant. The parking situation around the house can be described as rather poor, there is a lot of "material" stored around the house. The buffet-style breakfast is offered in a small, yet sufficient manner. The host couple only “thaws out” on day 2😉 When checking out, we are always happy to be asked how you liked it, to wish you a safe journey home and to see the company happy when you come to visit again - unfortunately this wasn't really the case when you left either.🤷

I tried to reserve a room; firstly the woman in reception said there are no more rooms and then said yes there are then said no and then hung up. I think because he heard that I'm not German. Nothing like this has ever happened before; I hope his hotel is better than his behavior !Very rude! Absolutely to be avoided like the plague!!! Was a guest here while searching for apartments. Small staff is friendly, the room had a nice little balcony, and breakfast was very german. However, because of its location, it is probably still best to get the breakfast included. Its the only place to get any unless you go to the altstadt every morning.

The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. Plenty of parking spaces available. The only downside is the swimming pool area which is quite old.

A super nice hotel. The rooms are simple. My bathroom was fairly newly renovated. The building has charm due to its age. The owners are super nice once they get along ;-) Bicycle garage is available. Rustig gelegen Hotel-Restaurant. Weinig parkeerplaatsen. We hebben daar een heerlijk Diner mogen nuttigen. Gunstige prijzen en vriendelijke bediening. Het is een familiebedrijf, in de keuken staat de eigenaar, zijn vrouw bedient en de 2 kinderen helpen ook mee. Echt een aanrader.

We spent a week on holiday in the Odenwald. The apartment was spacious and clean and you could spend the evenings nicely on the balcony. The pork fillet was huge and very tasty, and the ribbon noodles with chanterelles are also recommended.

Spent a short vacation of 1 night to switch off. I managed this very well in a spacious, clean, comfortably furnished room. The stay was very pleasant and the breakfast buffet was also plentiful. In the evening I ate schnitzel with fries and salad in the restaurant and that was also delicious. The service is warm and the sons of the Münch family are very attentive and helpful. The indoor swimming pool that the Münch family maintains in an adjacent building can be easily reached in just a few steps. Swimming a few lengths there rounded off my stay. I got a large and spacious room here at very short notice. Everything was spotless. Everything was very clean, a very nice and accommodating family. Nice breakfast room and very good quality. I would love to come back.

The room was quite large and clean, but really a bit old. The shower gel was allocated. 1x per person. No shampoo. It's nice to take a shower after a bike ride, but you don't always have that much with you. We found this a bit uncomfortable and overly economical. The bikes could be parked and connected in the parking lot, some of which were covered in front of the house. The reception was spot on, as orders were also taken in the restaurant. So you didn't feel very welcome. The whole house is very winding and has many steep stairs. This becomes problematic if you have a lot of luggage or restrictions. The dinner is very tasty and plentiful. Good home-style and local dishes. However, the breakfast was rather disappointing. Unfortunately it was not refilled.

We stayed in this beautiful country inn from October 20th to 22nd, 2023. The Münch family is extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms are large, tidy, clean and quiet. In the evening you can have an excellent meal in the restaurant. Great, the schnitzels are pounded by hand and everything is lovingly prepared. There is no lack of breakfast from 8 to 9:30 a.m. We felt very comfortable and would like to take this opportunity to thank the Münch family for the lovely accommodation!

Restaurant: Food is very good, service very friendly and attentive. Venison and roast venison were tender, apple rings in beer batter were very exquisite. Everything is homemade and the result is right.

Der Preis war für die Übernachtung ganz Ok. Aber die Unterkunft an sich war nicht so toll. Es wurde angeboten das man das Essen auf das Zimmer gekommen kann. Das ist nicht schlecht, aber wo stellt man das Essen hin wenn kein Tisch vorhanden ist. Auch auf dem Balkon nur ein Stuhl obwohl man gerne zu zweit dort gesessen hätte. Im Bad war der Lüfter defekt und wurde trotz eines Hinweises ignoriert. Der TV wurde nach bitten in Gang gesetzt. War nur eine falsche Vernbdienung. Das Möbel war sehr alt,was mir aber persönlich sehr gut gefallen hat. Ich denke mal 50er Jahre. Zum Frühstück: Abwechslung = Fehlanzeige auch die Tische könnten bei einer Neueindeckung vorab gereinigt werden. Zumindest die Krümel von Tisch und Stühle beseitigen. Die Blutwurst war jedenfalls nicht mehr ganz frisch und leider schon etwas zu trocken. Die Parkplätze sind kostenlos und wir haben auch täglich einen rechtzeitig erhaschen können. Aber das drumherum erinnert mich stark an eine Mülldeponie. Fußläufigkeit bis ins Zentrum war mit 1,2 Km ganz Ok. Hinweis: Das ist meine Meinung und Einschätzung zu alledem und man kann sich durchaus auch selbst seine eigene Meinung bilden. Voraussetzung ist das man bucht.

Ich hatte ein Zimmer gebucht und konnte aufgrund einer Autopanne nicht pünktlich anreisen. Der Besitzer war am Telefon mehr als unfreundlich und überhaupt nicht kooperativ oder verständnisvoll. Mitten im Gespräch "legte er den Hörer auf". Zimmerpreis wurde komplett abgebucht, entgegen den Buchungs-Vereinbarungen.

Ganz toller Familienbetrieb, Essen superklasse, Zimmer sauber (wer hat schon mattschwarze Armaturen im Bad,echter Hingucker..). Alle superfreundlich, gerne weiter zu empfehlen !!

Die Betten sind so niedrig das ich schwer rausgekommen bin und die Wirtsleute haben richtig laut gestritten,das ich gedacht habe die schlagen sich gleich.

Waren über der Kuckucksmarkt Zeit dort Sind dort sehr zufrieden gewesen sehr netter Service und es wurde sehr auf uns ein gegangen! Sehr schöne Zimmer Sei es im Dachgeschoss oder im ersten . Auch wenn ich mein Zimmer 15 liebe .. fühlte ich mich im Dachgeschoss sehr wohl. Auf einem seperaten Balkon im Dachgeschoss wurde uns sogar die Möglichkeit gegeben draussen zu rauchen ,damit wir Nachts nicht ganz runter mussten . Allgemeine ein sehr gepflegtes Aussehen und sehr stilvoll und warm eingerichtet Bin schon das 2.Jahr dort ..und freue mich wieder auf das nächste Jahr!🥰 Da wir uns dort nicht wie in einem Hotel gefühlt haben Sondern wie in einer großen Familie 🥰❣️🥰 Die Abreise fählt mich schwer da sie sehr lieb dort sind und ein Platz in unserem Herzen haben Vielen Dank für alles 💕

Ich hatte ein einzelzimmer es war sauber mit einem neuen Bad für eine Nacht völlig ausreichend. Das Frühstück war gut. Ich kann es weiter empfehlen.

Sehr gut geführter Betrieb. Wir haben super in dem ruhig gelegenen Haus geschlafen, und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Unsere Fahrräder konnten wir über Nacht in einer Garage abstellen (die aber total voll war). Das Frühstück hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir haben aber auch dort zu Abend gegessen, und können dies sehr empfehlen!

Der Inhaber ist komplett grundlos extrem unfreundlich und arrogant. Ich wurde richtig respektlos und abwertend behandelt. Als zahlender Kunde könnte man Neutralität bis Nettigkeit erwarten. Stattdessen wird man behandelt wie Dreck. Ich bin immer noch fassungslos, Leider hat man das Gefühl, dass hier niemand willkommen ist. Definitiv NICHT weiter zu empfehlen.

Sehr herablassende Mitarbeiter. Die Zimmer sind recht schäbig. Das Essen war okay aber das ist kein Grund für uns noch einmal wieder zukommen. Keine Empfehlung von unserer Seite.

Großes sauberes Appartement. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen und alle sind sehr nett. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbufett und liebevoll zubereitet.

Immer wieder gerne übernachte ich in dem familiär geführten Gasthof. Herzlichkeit wird hier groß geschrieben, das Essen ist lecker & die Preise sind human. Kann ich auch als Radler nur empfehlen, den der Neckarradweg führt etwas unterhalb des Lokals vorbei ( das ist meine Definition )

Schöner Gasthof, etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber sehr gepflegt und sauber und vor allem merklich mit Liebe geführt. Unser Doppelzimmer war recht groß mit großzügigem Balkon. Wir waren nur eine Nacht auf Durchreise zu Gast, hätten uns aber gut vorstellen können länger im schönen Eberbach zu verweilen. 🐗 Das Frühstück war ausreichend reichhaltig und der Kaffee frisch gemahlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder ✨️

Wir waren am 3.04.2023 mit der Familie zum Abendessen. Bei rustikalem Ambiente und einem knisternden Holzofen,nett gedeckten Tisch und aufmerksamen Service haben wir sehr gut gegessen.Das Essen war schmackhaft und reichlich,der Salat frisch und knackig. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen gerne wieder und werden Ihre Gaststätte gerne weiter empfehlen.

Kamin brannte, als wir kamen und der Tisch war schön gedeckt. Auch war der Service sehr freundlich. Da schmeckt das Essen und der Aufenthalt wird länger als gedacht.

Absolut weiterzuempfehlen. Wir, (fünf Wanderer auf dem Neckarsteig), haben ca. 3-4 Wochen vorher eine Hotelübernachtung für den 2./3. Nov. telefonisch gebucht. Sonderwünsche, wie Martinsgans-Essen, Wein, Saunabenutzung, Einzelzimmer sowie ein grober Zeitplan wurden besprochen, aber nirgends richtig fixiert. Als wir dann mit ca. 15-Minuten Verspätung unsere Wanderziel-Etappe erreichten, wurde Alles - aber auch wirklich Alles - genauestens erfüllt. So etwas ist sehr professionell und auch ohne Software im Computerzeitalter durchaus noch möglich. Die größte Überraschung war aber, die Gans, die auf angewärmten Tellern, ofenfrisch mit edlen Zutaten serviert wurde. Preislich lag das Menü auf günstigem Niveau, aber geschmacklich auf einem sehr hohem Level. Vielen Dank an die Wirtsleute auch dafür, dass wir zur Sauna-Benutzung auch noch das Hallenbad nutzen durften, obwohl es eigentlich schon ab Nov. geschlossen war. Liebe Wirtsleute, bitte entschuldigen Sie, dass wir unsere 15-minütige Verspätung nicht telefonisch angekündigt haben - sie mussten wie auf heißen Kohlen gesessen haben. Wir wünschen Ihnen noch sehr viele Wander- oder Urlaubsgäste, die Sie mit Ihrer großartigen Küche verzaubern können und die sich Ihrem Vertrauen würdig erweisen.

Uriges Restaurant und gute Unterkünfte

Investitionsstau seit mindestens 20 Jaren. Sehr in die Jahre gekommen, beim Frühstück war das Geschirr von 5 Kollektionen zusammengewürfelt. Preis Leistung stimmt nicht.

Ein schönes und uriges Hotel am Neckarsteig, das zum Einkehren und Übernachten einlädt! Die Zimmer selbst waren groß, geräumig und sauber und erfüllten voll ihren Zweck. Besonders zu empfehlen ist die reichhaltige und qualitativ hochwertige Küche, die für jeden etwas bietet und durch Frische und Qualität überzeugt. Auch das Frühstück war durch die Reichhaltigkeit an Auswahl, gerade auch regionaler Produkte, super. Das Bild wird abgerundet von der freundlichen Betreiberfamilie, die äußerst zuvorkommend und humorvoll ist, zugleich flexibel auf individuelle Wünsche eingeht und viel Liebe in das Betreiben des Landgasthofs investiert. Es gibt sogar einen Pool im Hinterhaus, der genutzt werden kann und der nach einer langen Wanderung z.B. über den Neckarsteig willkommene Erfrischung und Abkühlung bietet. Das Hotel und seine Küche wären jederzeit wieder ein Anlaufpunkt und Ankerplatz für uns bei einer Reise in Richtung Odenwald.

Wer auf dem Neckarsteig wandert, muss hier auf jeden Fall Station machen! Ein sehr gemütliches uriges Gasthaus mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern, die sogar am Ruhetag noch ein Abendessen zaubern. Das Essen als solches ließ keine Wünsche offen, war reichhaltig und das Beste: alles frisch gekocht mit frischen Zutaten. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die selbstgemachte Knoblauchsauce. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und auch hier gab es nichts, was gefehlt hat. Unser Zimmer war geräumig, gemütlich und sauber. Für die nötige Abkühlung sorgt ein Schwimmbad. Auf Nachfrage wurde sogar unser Gepäck zur nächsten Unterkunft gebracht, was auch keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Insgesamt: 10 von 10 Punkten. Tolle Gastgeber, die wir nur weiterempfehlen können.
