Gasthof Engel in Dornstetten

Superb. Very clean. Authentic and Sweet. We had a room with a private, updated and pristine bathroom. We are international business and recreational and have stayed in up to 100 hotels in one year (*performer: Melanie Dekker). For this price you can’t find anything even close! The beds are good, the bedding is great and the hallways have a historic charm of thier own. Of note - You can’t hear anything once the door is closed. (Would have been extra nice if the curtains had more of a blackout ability for those who like to sleep in a little longer) Lucky to have performed in the hall and had time to enjoy two excellent schwabian meals!

Everything is a bit old, but we received a friendly welcome, were able to park in front of the door and everything else was great! We'd love to come back! The only thing you should note is that there is no hairdryer in the room (unless it was perhaps missing in our room).

Schnitzel was disappointing, but otherwise really nice and nice atmosphere 😬

Many thanks to the Gasthof Engel. I was their guest today as part of their live music events calendar. Since I am unfortunately extremely limited in my ability to walk and cannot walk up stairs at all, I was very pleased that they helped me quickly and easily. For me an absolutely unforgettable, beautiful evening. Great Irish band "The Hoodie Crows", great service from them, good food. What more do you need to be on cloud 9. Many many thanks

A nice rustic village pub where you can meet in the evening to play cards with beer or wine and chat. The sausage salad is very tasty.

If someone likes the atmosphere of the 70s... because time has stopped here... Then you're welcome... The rooms are poorly equipped... no TV... but the good news is WiFi... the cheapest hotel in the area...

We had dinner at the Gasthof Engel today and can fully recommend it. The reception was very friendly and the first impression of the facility was very appealing. You can see the concept between keeping the original (which is the soul of the inn) and the modern. So the charm was retained. The food is honest, no frills, good home-style and tasty. Emphasis is placed on fresh ingredients and products. In my opinion the wine selection is well chosen. Everything is very clean down to the last detail, including the sanitary facilities. Conclusion: If you want to go out for a good meal, feel comfortable in a nice atmosphere and have nice conversations, then this is the right place for you to eat. Not to forget the delicious homemade cake. The great price-performance ratio is then just a minor matter 🙂 We'll definitely be back 👍 update It's great to have the opportunity to experience great artists in a great environment in this small town. The hotel is very old. The single room probably hadn't been renovated in 40 years, at least as far as the furniture was concerned. Unfortunately, my room faced the street, was quite loud in the evening until night and then again from seven in the morning. The restaurant is only open 3 days a week and there was no breakfast. The price was cheap, but overall it was a bad overnight stay.

Unfortunately during the week there was only a small menu with snacks. Sausage salad, farmer's bratwurst. The sausage salad was really good, and also a large portion, prices were very fair, service was nice and very friendly. There was a large menu on Friday. We'll definitely be back .

Clean and nice rooms, unfortunately there was no breakfast offer when we were there. Still recommended.

Sehr nette Bedienungen und leckeres Essen. Waren an einem Veranstaltungstag da, bei der eine super Band gespielt hat. Sehr zu empfehlen, insbesondere die Kultur (Konzert) Abende.

Lecker Essen... gute und zahlreiche Auswahl... für jeden Geschmack was dabei ... nette Bedienung... super Service

Zimmer war sauber und die Preis-Leistung stimmt. Die Wirtin ist auch eine echt liebe Person.

Großes, sauberes, günstiges und ruhiges Doppelzimmer mit 80er Jahre Charme. Guter Service. Gasthof liegt zentral in der Dornstetter Altstadt.

Zimmer total okay, aber nachts um 2 extrem laut durch Menschen die im Erdgeschoss in der Gaststube saßen und völlig betrunken waren. Schade.

Das Gasthaus Engel in Dornstetten kann ich sehr gut empfehlen der Umgang ist sehr Gastfreundlich es wird sich sehr bemüht das der Gast sich wohlfühlt

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, gemütliches, häusliches Ambiente und sehr sauber. Gerne wieder.

Wird ab Februar an vereinzelten Tagen wieder geöffnet. Dafür werden noch verschiedene Arbeitskräfte gesucht. Eine tolle große Gaststätte mit viel Platz für Großveranstaltungen. Sehr empfehlenswert als gute und günstige Unterkunft! Sehr nette Gastgeberin. Einfache aber gemütliche und saubere Zimmer. Fußläufig sind zwei Bäckereien, ein Getränkemarkt, super griechisches Restaurant und Lotto-Laden erreichbar. Wunderschöne Fachwerkhäuser in der kompletten Straße (siehe Fotos)
