Good restaurant for a lunch break, not far from the highway.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff, who made every effort to ensure everything was perfect. Child-friendly, too. A great history completes the experience. We'd love to go back!

Great overnight stay on the way home

Delicious and simply great restaurant, also recommended for a short stop off the motorway.

The food was good and inexpensive. The menu is varied. The location is a bit inconvenient. Plenty of parking is available. The inn is dog-friendly.

On our return journey from Italy, we were looking for a place to stay overnight with a restaurant near the highway. We chose the Gasthof Endres and were not disappointed. Very friendly hosts, where our dog was also welcome. We also had super delicious food, a restful night's sleep, and a wonderful breakfast the next morning, allowing us to begin the final leg of our journey home feeling refreshed. If we need a hotel again on this route, we will definitely book here again.

We come here every year for the stopover to Austria. Top spot and nice food and breakfast.

I had to stay overnight there spontaneously due to a storm. The family was very friendly and helpful. They even provided a place to park my motorcycle. The rooms were very clean and well-equipped, and the price/performance ratio was excellent. The food was excellent; both dinner and breakfast were fresh and delicious. I'd love to come back often.

We were there with a family of four for two nights on May 2nd. When we arrived on Friday, the restaurant was packed, but there were no annoyed faces or even unfriendly staff. On the contrary! Very nice hosts, nice staff. The price for the apartment with breakfast was ok. The breakfast itself was very good. On the second evening we ate in the restaurant. Well attended there too. But again nice staff, great food, very good value for money. Tavern cuisine par excellence! Thoroughly recommended, just like the homemade ham, sausage, etc. Really recommended.

From April 24th, 2025 to April 27th, 2025 the bobbin lace congress took place in Neumarkt i. d. Sacrifice instead. I was therefore looking for an inn that was about halfway between Neumarkt and Abenberg, as the lace museum is located in the castle in Abenberg. I found the Gasthof Endres website. After very friendly communication with the boss, we booked here for this time and were not disappointed. Clean, nice rooms, very friendly and courteous staff as well as the boss family. Great food in the restaurant at extremely reasonable prices. Because of the farm and butcher shop that belonged to the house, it was of course something special. We then stocked up on smoked ham and various types of sausage in jars for home, great!! What we were also very pleased about was that the shower and hand towels were neither treated with fabric softener nor put through the dryer. This means they have significantly better suction power and we also really like the slightly harder grip and are happy about significantly less energy and chemical use. Thank you for that. Found this inn by chance and went in, the politeness of the staff and the boss was incredibly great. The food was very tasty and plentiful, just really good. If I come by again, it's always worth a visit. Thank you very much for the super good food.

Went there for lunch and ordered daily specials. This is really still an inn with tradition. Sensational taste and reasonable prices. This is where the craftsmen go for lunch, it's really rare to find something like that.

Typical Franconian inn, inn still original, sanitary facilities etc. modernly renovated. Good Franconian cuisine, the way it should be. Some things also come in a glass or smoked to take away.

Were traveling on business and reserved a room there online. Very tasty breakfast with a large selection. Rooms are small and cute with everything you need, very clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. You can see they do it with passion. The best thing for the children was that they were given scrambled eggs for breakfast upon request. The location is nice and quiet. Highly recommended.

I can agree with all the reviewers who gave it five stars. Everything was right for us here. Be sure to try the “Hochmoorgeist” as a nightcap. The accommodation is also suitable for excursions in any direction: Nuremberg, Regensburg, Geiselwind...

Nice hotel for a business trip.

We were looking for somewhere to stay near the A7 and were very happy with the Gasthof Endres. The rooms are functional, completely sufficient. The associated restaurant is right next door. Good food from our own hunt. The breakfast keeps up with many hotels and is very sufficient.

We had dinner here with many other geocachers. There were 50 of us and everything went smoothly with orders and food. Nobody had to wait that incredibly long. After 25 minutes at the latest, everyone had their food hot/warm on the table and could enjoy it. Here you can enjoy good traditional home cooking that still tastes delicious! We always checked to see if everyone still had it and asked about it if necessary. Everyone was on their toes, even the youngest members of the family. The dessert of apple cake with vanilla ice cream was also a treat! Thanks for the culinary delight!

We had made a reservation and when we arrived at the restaurant we immediately realized that without a reservation there was no chance. The throughput of guests is overwhelming, even with space for 100 people. The service was swarming and the friendly, approachable interaction with all guests was absolutely amazing under this stress. The food came surprisingly quickly. The fallow deer roast tasted very good. I wanted to eat schnitzel again and decided on the Jäger version. Very good. If we are in the region again, we will be happy to make a reservation again and are looking forward to the food.

A small, passionately run hotel in which we felt very comfortable. We were only looking for somewhere to stay with a restaurant near the motorway. We found very friendly staff and great, delicious cuisine. There were 4 of us and we all ate something different. All 4 of us were thrilled. We slaughter the meat ourselves and pay attention to animal welfare. It is remarkable what the young innkeepers can do and achieve. We would have liked to stay here again on the way back, but unfortunately everything was fully booked. Maybe next time. Many thanks to the staff and keep it up 🍀

We had a great 2-day stay at Gasthof Endres. Starting with the nice and very quick email response and the uncomplicated reservation, through the beautiful, modern room to the very extensive breakfast, everything was really great! If we come back to the area, we will definitely come back to Gasthof Endres.

Very friendly staff. Highly recommended with a dog, we were allowed to go to the restaurant and have breakfast. And that only for a small surcharge (8 euros). We'd be happy to go back on the trip south.

We have always stayed here when we are in the Nuremberg region. The inn and guest house are run lovingly and with great expertise by the Endres family and we have always had the impression that the operators care about the well-being of the guests. Over the years, we have always felt that the family cares about the continued existence of the business and that they are all committed to it. We are always happy to be there again and enjoy the food and hospitality. This time we were nearby with the motorhome and we were allowed to spend the night in their parking lot. One dish in the evening was also changed at my request and everything was just perfect. This morning we were able to have breakfast there. It was rich and, above all, peppered with homemade specialties. The last time we were there and the guest rooms were actually closed, Nadja Endres had us a snack plate Refrigerator provided. We are always impressed by this inn and how it treats guests individually. Keep it up, we'll always come back to you when we're here.

We have been guests in the guesthouse several times and we feel very comfortable every time. Rooms have what you need. The breakfast buffet is rich, fresh and lovingly prepared. Individual needs are taken into account.

Today we happened to be there for the very first time, quite spontaneously, after a walk at Rothsee. Insanely delicious with absolutely fair prices and excellent quality! The fallow deer with dumplings, cranberries and salad is simply excellent! The Viennese style schnitzel with fried potatoes, fried egg and salad was also great quality and a generous portion. Service very friendly. The winter garden is also nice and bright and comfortable to sit in. Meat and game from our own farm. Drink prices are also very fair (e.g. beer 0.5 l light beer from the Pyraser draft 3.30 euros! We will definitely be back! Absolutely recommended!

Menus without prices have been an absolute bad habit since Corona!... I don't drive 30km, 50km or more to test a "new" restaurant for myself without being able to find out about the prices beforehand. It shows a lack of appreciation for the "possibly distant" guest and has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I can't afford to go out to eat!... There are clear guidelines for restaurant menus and this includes price information for dishes and drinks!...
