Very friendly service, delicious food and a very large selection of beers - both our own and craft beer

We stayed at the hotel and did the beer hiking trail part 1 and part 2. The rest days must be noted in advance. But despite a few days of rest, we had a lot of fun. We were here in November, when the hike was a little quieter. I can only recommend it and at the end of the tour there was a delicious beer and a delicious dinner at Schwanen. The hotel offers everything your heart desires. The breakfast at Schwanen leaves nothing to be desired. I can only recommend it. The diversity of the beer range caters to different wishes and needs, so everyone can find something for themselves. The brewery tour was very informative and led personally by the boss. So take a picture of here for yourself. The city of Ehingen also offers other things.

I was only there briefly to try the porter and thought it was simply delicious. Luckily there was nothing going on yet so I was able to talk to the service staff: a very nice young group! I'll be back =)

Want to enjoy a beer today. The young male service staff was great, quick and always friendly. Unfortunately, the service from the kitchen and beverage production was very, very slow and we had to wait a long time. The service staff were overwhelmed and uncoordinated. The waiting time was simply too long and the tables were cleared very late. Unfortunately my Martini Rouge was also somehow wrong. Salt-rimmed glass with lemon? Mm strange combination, what a shame. But the beer was delicious 😋 and the beer ice cream with beer liqueur is highly recommended

Good food and good service Unfortunately, the stay in the beer garden on August 24th, 2024 was marred by a group of drunk men, burping and shouting drinking songs.

My experience: The waitresses were friendly and attentive. Drinks came very quickly and were cleared away quickly. The food, however, was unfortunately mediocre. Here the price-performance ratio for a pork schnitzel (€18.40) was not right. I was looking forward to the schnitzel with fries I ordered. I got two small round pieces of meat with fries. The fries had no salt/spice and the meat was unfortunately totally dry and without any taste. It's a shame actually. With a schnitzel I thought you can't go wrong. For me personally, a second visit to the Schwanen Restaurant is out of the question. Unfortunately!

I was in the restaurant recently - actually a very pleasant atmosphere and very tasty food. However, the blonde waitress often seemed very uninterested and we also saw her very rarely. Maxi, on the other hand, was very nice and accommodating. 4 stars.

Waited a long time, no information during that time, the food (lentils with silk sausage) was dried out and unfortunately looked pretty nasty. The sausages were also split open and shriveled up. The taste was pretty bland. And charging almost €18 for it is really very unreasonable.

Went to Gasthof Schwanen today with a work colleague and I was thrilled! The traditional Swabian food was absolutely delicious - from the Maultaschen to the onion roast, everything was perfectly prepared. The portions were generous and the flavors authentic. I would also like to particularly emphasize the friendly service, which was always attentive and courteous. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy real Swabian cuisine.

In my opinion, portions are a bit small. In my opinion, the taste was okay, unfortunately the food we ordered didn't come at the same time, so I was almost finished when the person opposite started eating. In my opinion, one schnitzel tasted a little bland and dry. Beer selection is very good and recommended for beer lovers!

Very good restaurant and hotel!!! We stayed here for a week with our grandson. Very good cuisine cooked with fresh regional ingredients and seasoned perfectly for us! Friendly service and delicious beers. Our little one liked the Maultaschen the best! We were very satisfied.

Total disaster. Food was still not at the table after 1 hour, despite having made a reservation and pre-ordering the meals in a group of 40 people. They were totally unprepared. Team incompetent unfriendly older grey-haired blonde woman with 80s hairstyle was so nasty to customers. That for a moment I thought it was escalating.

Were here for the “Candle-Light Dinner” as part of our “Cuddle Time” arrangement from the hotel opposite. The so-called “Candle-Light Dinner” was a total failure. The table was placed right next to the bar, which meant clattering dishes all the time, glasses being washed, a radio playing the news... terrible background noise. The table was carelessly set, a simple tablecloth with a candlestick, that was it. No special features to set the arrangement apart, such as other napkins or other decorations. When we asked for another table because it wasn't possible to have a pleasant conversation because of the noise, we were just looked at puzzled and didn't ask why. 3 meters away we were more or less involuntarily offered a table, which we then took. Unfortunately the staff was inattentive and uninterested. The first table was cleared away straight away, the tablecloth and candles were not set at the new table. Throughout the “dinner” the staff was not the least bit friendly, no smiles or other politeness. We were asked by another couple what our impressions were and we all agreed. Unfortunately I can't leave it unmentioned... The stay wouldn't have been so negatively remembered if I hadn't had food poisoning after the "candle-light dinner", which luckily cleared up within 3 days. I suspect that something was wrong with the salmon because I wasn't feeling well that same evening and unfortunately I had to spend the next day in my room.

The beer and food were delicious as always. I've been coming several times a year for about 5 years.

We got very unpleasant smelling meat (fillet). When asked, the next piece of unpleasant-smelling meat was delivered - it smelled really musty. When we asked again, we only received a statement from the chef that everything was fine with the meat.

Great well thought out hotel :-) The beer crate room is very nice and comfortable! Definitely not off the shelf! The service is great and the staff are friendly and happy to help! The wellness area is very cozy and clean! The inn opposite serves a not exaggerated and great breakfast! The restaurant has conjured up a delicious menu and you can taste the delicious beers at the bar! The direct location in the center is excellent and I can only recommend the beer hiking trail (from 0 to 1 per mille in 15 km)! You can also explore the surrounding area by cycling on the well-developed cycle paths! I'd love to come again! There is still a lot to discover!

Visited again after years, complete failure. The deceased innkeepers gave the Schwanen a special flair and warmth. Saturday at 12:30 p.m. 3 tables were occupied. The food was nothing special, the portions were large, definitely great for the convenience food and beer tourist. The "famous" potato salad (or is it porridge?) will not be forgotten. Canned corn on the salad and tasteless radish salad from the jar with watery, indefinable salad dressing kept my joy within limits.

I decided on the onion roast, the meat was perfect, unfortunately it was served with ready-made spaetzle from the package and a burger bag. That just doesn't fit the restaurant's standards.

Sehr sehr schöne Gastfreundschaft ! Die Führung war Mega interessant und für jeden Bierliebhaber ein MUSS. Das Essen ist sehr sehr gut und das Bier schmeckt ( natürlich probiert) sehr sehr gut und süffig!!! Ich habe das Hotel und die Umgebung allen meinen Freunden empfohlen und natürlich jetzt sich dem Rest der Welt. Prost und viel Spaß hier :)

The beers are fresh and full of flavor and there is something to suit every taste. I absolutely cannot understand negative reviews, talk to the staff and your wishes will be implemented…

I ordered a pulled pork burger and got a dry bun with a lettuce leaf and some cold, overcooked meat. For just under 19 euros that's a disgrace. I actually wanted the vegetable bowl, but it's not currently being served, even though it's on the menu. A pity.

Habe das Essen im Zusammenhang mit dem zugehörigen Hotel gebucht Durfte mich an 3 und 4 Gang Menüs erfreuen und echt habe selten so gut gegessen freu mich schon riesig maogen mal alla Kart zu essen bin aber sicher es wird Klasse und von den selbst gebrauchten Bieren will ich gar nicht erst anfangen Fachzieht wer hier ist sollte auch hier Essen

you come to a brewery and then something like that The food really doesn't need to hide behind star chefs and the starter soups (I just love soup) were amazing a coke foam soup oh I have no idea what a foam soup is supposed to taste like but I'm sure that's exactly what it is and then a beef broth that I think was my last meal as a child and then the meat dumplings, I would only come for the soups Then came the rest of the menus People who are here and don't stop in are their own fault and I haven't even started drinking beer yet 😉

We had a very nice and cozy time in Schwanen. The staff was very friendly and, due to health-related restrictions, the chef personally gave professional and expert advice when choosing the food.

Bad service, bad food… unfortunately there isn't much more to say.

Netter Gasthof. Wurden freundlich empfangen und auch prompt bedient. Das Essen wurde auch recht schnell an den Tisch gebracht. Die Portion recht überschaubar, eventuell hatte ich auch den Kinder-/ oder Seniorenteller bestellt :) , berechnet wurde jedenfalls die normale Portion. Geschmacklich leider für mich eine kleine Katastrophe. Preis-Leistung passt hier leider nicht. Werde das Lokal nicht nochmals zum Essen gehen auswählen

Leider war der Teller das wärmste am Essen.die Gewürze waren leider nicht vorhanden.Verstehe die 4,5 Sterne nicht. Aufpassen!

Leider sehr enttäuschend . Das Essen war nicht nur lauwarm, sondern auch von schlechter Qualität. Die Suppe war lediglich erwärmt und hatte noch nicht annähernd die richtige Temperatur erreicht auch nicht nach erneutem erwärmen . Die Bratwürste waren noch ganz weiß und hatten keine Röstaromen entwickelt. Die Schnitzel waren nicht in der Pfanne gebraten, sondern erinnerten eher an eine Zubereitung in einem schlechten Airfryer - Ich ließ mein Essen zurückgehen - leider. Fazit Der Gasthof Schwanen lebt nicht mehr von seinem guten Ruf, sondern von den Erinnerungen seiner Gäste. Ich kann den Besuch nicht empfehlen.

Können das Hotel mit allem drum und dran nur wärmstens empfehlen! Super schöne Zimmer, Tolles Ambiente, nur freundliches Personal, leckeres Essen....... Brauereiführung sehr interessant und vom lustigen Chef persönlich durchgeführt. Wir kommen sicher wieder hierher. 🍺👍🍀

Das Essen war gut und die Getränkeauswahl toll. Der Service war leider nicht gut, da die Bedienung sehr unhöflich war.

Beim besonderen Angebot Lamm waren die Speckbohnen aus, stattdessen Gemüse bestellt, aber das war fast kalt, Service etwas chaotisch, aber sehr freundlich.

Das Essen ist Brauhaustypisch bodenständig, aber durch die kleinen Besonderheiten sehr facettenreich. Rundum sehr lecker, saisonal und frisch! Sei es die hausgemachten Maultaschen oder die Bierbratensauce zu dem unfassaber guten Medium Steak! Das Ambiente ist urig aber nicht altbacken oder abgenutzt! Highlight ist, neben den verschiedenen eigenen Bieren und den Kreationen daraus, jedoch das Personal. Sie gehen vorbildlich auf die Gäste ein, geben sich Mühe den Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten und sind dabei kein bisschen aufdringlich. Wer mal in Ehingen ist, muss hier herkommen. PS: ich habe mein Essen nicht fotografiert, weil ich es essen wollte 😜

Zweimal zum Abendessen, 1x Karte und 1x Menü. Sehr leckere Auswahl, mit brauereitypischen Zutaten. Sehr gute Bierauswahl, und weitere Getränke. Es ist für Jeden was dabei. Ambiente schick. Personal freundlich. Küche ist schnell. Toiletten oben. Reservierung ist zu empfehlen.

Mit einer Männertruppe hier eingekehrt. Schönes Ambiente, tolle Speisekarte, freundlicher Service. Das war das Positive. Der Rehbraten war ein zäher Gegner. Die Spätzle aus der Tüte. Der Kartoffelsalat ohne Biss, fast schon Kartoffelbrei. Schnitzel fad. Schnaps war auch nicht gut. Und mit dem Bier konnte man uns auch nicht begeistern. Bestell das Biertrio und macht euch eure eigene Meinung. War ein echter Reinfall 😒

Richtig tolle Location, authentisch, ich kann die Brauerei Führung nur empfehlen. Essen war sehr lecker, Personal sehr herzlich und Blitz schnell. War nicht das letzte Mal hier.

Sehr schönes, sauberes, ruhiges Zimmer, Essen war top. Brauereiführung war sehr informativ! Das Bad im Brauzuber haben wir sehr genossen! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Der Service total nett und schnell. Das Essen leider nicht so. Schnitzel und Pommes trocken, Spätzle wässrig und der Wurstsalat sehr fad. Cordon Bleu sehr gut. Und das Schwarzbier erst.

Der Gasthof gehört zum direkt angrenzenden Hotel und betreibt eine privat geführte Brauerei; eine der kleinsten Brauereien Deutschlands. Die Speisekarte ließt sich typisch derer einer Brauereigaststätte; es gibt wenige Experimente und viel bewährtes. Alles war sehr lecker und daher absolute Empfehlung.

Sehr nette, bodenständige Gaststätte. Gute Auswahl an Gerichten, allerdings gabs kein Kartoffelsalat mehr am Abend zu bestimmten Gerichten( ein kleiner Minuspunkt). Personal müsste noch ein wenig an Freundlichkeit lernen. Mein ausgewähltes Essen( Bierkässpatzen) war sehr lecker, allem Anschein nach, frisch gemacht, mit sehr fein gerösteten Zwiebeln. I had the 3-course beer dinner included in the package from the hotel. The staff was very kind to serve me three 0.1 tastes of three different Schwanen beers from the tap to go along with the meal and help me decide. Too bad not all of their beers were available. I chose my own pairings with their Export with the salad, their Dampf (or was it Rauch?) with the steak and their Oak aged with the vanilla ice cream. The meat was nice and juicy, asked for rare and rare it was. The ice cream did definitely have the liquor. I'm giving 4/5 unfortunately because of the unavailability of some of their beers I would have liked better with my steak.

Frueher mal war das ein traditioneller, gutbürgerlicher Gasthof mit guten Speisen. Wir waren zum Abendessen da: Krustenbraten € 19,50 - sah aus und schmeckte wie wenn er schon 2 Tage warmgehalten wurde gemischter Salat € 5,90 sauer Cordon bleu € 19,90 ohne Geschmack, schlecht gewürzt, einfach fad!

Selten so ein Gutes Essen bekommen! Fleisch Bleu bestellt und Bleu bekommen, das passiert leider selten. Alles war top und Kulinarisch ein Genuss! Sehr zu empfehlen.

Ich hatte selten ein Stück Fleisch das wirklich Bleu war wenn man es bestellt, Sie haben es Perfekt hinbekommen und auch der Salat und Beilagen waren ein Traum! Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wenn ich 0 Sterne geben könnte, würde ich das tun. Dieser Laden ist eine absolute Sauerei. Nicht zu empfehlen, der Döner um die Ecke wär die bessere Wahl gewesen.

Leider nicht zu empfehlen. Wir freuten uns eigentlich auf ein nettes Geburtstagsfest mit der Familie. Leider haben uns die folgenden Punkte das Fest vermiest. Gerade angekommen war der Tisch trotz Reservierung zunächst nicht frei, sodass wir 20 min im Außenbereich abgestellt wurden. Okay, das kann ja mal passieren. Da haben wir noch ein Auge zugedrückt. Als Entschuldigung haben wir ein Getränk pro Person kostenfrei bekommen. Als wir endlich am Platz waren, wurde es leider nicht sonderlich gemütlicher. Die gut 20 Mann starke, feuchtfröhliche und krakeelende Gesellschaft wurde direkt am Nebentisch platziert, sodass man sein eigenes Wort nicht mehr verstehen konnte. Nach Beschwerde beim eigentlich sehr netten Personal konnten wir den Raum / Tisch nach einiger Zeit wechseln. Leider war die Koordination in der Küche eine Katastrophe. Nach 2 Stunden 15 min musste der erste Teil der Familie aufgrund der fortgeschrittenen Zeit hungrig das Gasthaus verlassen. Der harte Rest hat den Hauptgang (wenn auch nicht 100% das was bestellt wurde) nach 2 Stunden 45 min serviert bekommen !!
