Beautiful garden, average service and food quality, and quite high prices.

Great little place, good food, and clean restrooms. We arrived on a fairly busy day and couldn't get in until after 7:00 PM. The food was excellent. There's space for 4 or 5 cars, depending on how many there are.

Those were the worst fries and schnitzel I've ever eaten. The salad was good and so was the beer, but everything else left a lot to be desired!!!!!

Overwhelmed, grumpy service. The beer garden wasn't full around 2 p.m., so there couldn't have been any excessive stress. We were assigned a table (!) and were ignored from that moment on, while other guests who arrived after us were served. The ambiance would actually be quite nice, but we didn't get any of that. I can't comment on the quality of the food, as we weren't given a menu and weren't even asked for drinks. After about 20 minutes, we left and luckily found an excellent alternative on the spot. We'll definitely never see the Auwirt again!

Decent Bavarian cuisine. Friendly staff. The food didn't take long, arrived at the same time, and tasted good. The roast beef was actually very good! Moderate prices. Just in case! Update July 2025: Nobody was bad there, the veal liver was a real treat like everything else. At the end, they even served schnapps for the birthday girl! Many thanks.

If you're looking for a shady beer garden with very friendly service in warm weather, this is the place for you. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. It doesn't hurt to make a reservation outside for lunch.

This is a great place to eat. The service is excellent, everyone is friendly and accommodating, and the food is delicious. There's a lovely outdoor dining area with a small playground for children. It's also fenced in. We always enjoy coming back.

We ate at the Auwirt three times during our vacation. We received a very friendly welcome and service each time. The food was really delicious and the prices were reasonable. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

We had sausage salad. It was good and plentiful. The beer garden was lovely. We'd gladly return.

The service was super friendly. The food (goulash with bread dumplings and a grilled plate) was delicious. We finished with pancakes with vanilla ice cream. Also great! A Diet Coke, two large Spezi beers, a late macchiato, and a large bottle of water. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was already gone 😔. The price was also reasonable at €80. WE'LL BE AGAIN

We've found a new favorite restaurant in the region. The Auwirt was recommended to us, we've tried it several times now, and we're thrilled! The food is super delicious. We particularly enjoyed the wonderful meat seasoning and the wild garlic spaetzle, but also everything else. The service was always exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and child-friendly. In the summer, there's a lovely beer garden with a playground next door. We love coming back here whenever we're on vacation!

Order roast beef with onions at Zimca. Then pay! Thank you for the wonderful service and the delicious food! Maybe next time we'll have a plum cake for dessert! Great food, great service, everything is simply fantastic! 100% recommendation!

After a morning down the Salzburg salt mines and a shopping afternoon around Salzburg old town. We found Gasthof Auwirt for dinner on Google Maps. Going on the 4.7 star review, we stopped off to see if they could fit in our party of 9. Fortunately, they were happy to seat us all. The restaurant is very smartly laid out. The food was as we have found in Germany 🇩🇪 very, very tasty and extremely plentiful. Our waitress was extremely patient with us as we are not the best German speakers in the world, but between her, us and Google Translate in the end we all selected our food and had a fantastic night and everyone's meals were amazing. You will not go wrong if you stop off and have dinner here.

Old-fashioned, rustic restaurant/Wirtshaus serving super yummy local dishes and good beers. A bit noisy at times, but wonderful local ambience and great food.

Der volle Parkplatz ließ mich schlimmes ahnen und es war "noch" ärger..... Drinnen und draußen alles voll. Gott sei Dank darf ich dann am Stammtisch Platz nehmen und macht da eine längere Wartezeit beim würzig dunklem Wieninger ja nichts aus. Wieso heutzutage Suppen 6, 90 Teuro kosten wird mir ein Rätsel bleiben, aber wenigstens war der Geschmack des Leberknödels von voller Güte. Die VIER , nicht wie sonst wo, 3 Stück Schweinsbratwürstel, dufteten schon verlockend nach Majoran, auf Ihrem Sauerkrautbeet mit Bratensaft und die Röstkartofferl verdienten sich Ihren Namen zu recht haha, jedoch wäre der mitgereichte Senf der Tod jeden Geschmackserlebnisses gewesen. Immer wieder danke ich dem Gastronophen, das er seinem Lieferanten die Treue hält und nicht, wie meistens üblich, Aktionsware im Handel kauft. Es tut gut, wenn man nach einiger Zeit der Abwesenheit, nicht nur vom selbem Personal, sondern auch der gleichen Güte der Speisen erwartet wird. Herzlichen Dank dafür.

We had dinner there today. My little daughter ordered the cheese spaetzle and got a salad with it. I suddenly noticed that something was moving in the salad. Upon closer inspection, we saw worms in the salad. I then went to the waitress and kindly pointed it out to her. Then they just brought us a new salad. We didn't apologize and the boss, who welcomed us very nicely beforehand, ignored us and didn't even apologize. He collected all the other tables himself. The other waitress cashed in on us. There was no apology or price adjustment.

We have heard a lot of good things about this restaurant. Finally, we just went to have dinner. The order was fulfilled very quickly. The food was incredibly tasty, especially the grilled vegetables, usually I immediately put them aside, but after trying them in this restaurant I was shocked by such a great taste, the meat could not be cut, it was so tender and juicy. We are delighted. Thank you for the friendly and fast service 🤗🤗🤗 Now lunch is only here. I have to try many more of your dishes.

The best Wiener Schnitzel I have eaten within a 50 km radius. Very easy on the stomach, lean, yet not dry and tasty. Switching from potato salad to fried potatoes is no problem either. Portions very large, ketchup without sweeteners :-) Draft beer very good. Lemonade also cheap. Very nice waiter. Very nice waitresses, really sweet. Everything was very clean. I would be happy to come to you again. It's worth it, even if I have to drive a few km. It's best to make a reservation, it's busy.

We received a super friendly welcome and the food was super tasty! Have a nice shower. Unfortunately, you don't see many of those hospitable restaurants anymore where you can enjoy good old-fashioned food.

At the Auwirt you will also receive very friendly service on Mondays. Tyrolean Gröstl and the turkey schnitzel were very tasty and filling. The restaurant is rustic and comfortably furnished.

We also ended up here by chance... shortly before the end of our vacation here in the beautiful Berchtesgadener Land... we already had everything: bread dumplings, roast pork, etc., but no Kaiserschmarrn... that's there Not on the menu, but since it was quiet there for a moment, the chef freshly prepared a double portion for us. Where else can you find something like that??? We were totally thrilled...about this service and of course about the Kaiserschmarrn...it was just perfect. Thanks again to everyone there.

We were actually passing through yesterday evening and ended up in this nice restaurant by chance. It was very full and no table was free, BUT the very nice landlord made an effort at short notice and got us a place at a regular table. We were very happy about that. When we were finished, I had a nice conversation with him because we were looking for a place to stay overnight with our camper. He promptly offered us the guest parking space. We accepted that straight away. Many thanks again to the entire, very nice team. P.S. the food was very tasty 👍 Best regards

Found this great business by chance. The beer garden invites you to linger. The service is friendly and very quick. The food was a dream. We had roast pork. A poem...price performance is right! The toilets were also clean. If we're on the corner again, we'll be happy to come back! Hot meals are offered throughout. Only Thursdays are days off. We are happy to recommend the Gasthof Auwirt.

I went there on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation and alone. Outside it's persistent rain and nasty cold weather. I passed by on foot and found the inn to be well-kept and inviting from the outside. Inside, everything was well-kept and inviting. The service staff was able to offer me a table despite pending reservations. At the beginning of my stay there was nothing going on, but soon the guest room began to fill up, which you could also tell from the volume in the guest room. I observed that out-of-home catering was also offered. The inn is really an address and I would say that most of the guests were locals but that was just my impression and that's never wrong. The menu was extensive and included good dishes that you can't get everywhere. The soup and the venison ragout were very tasty and tasty. Only the drinks service was a bit slow, but you also have to acknowledge that the inn filled up quickly and there were a lot of guests present. I can really recommend the Gasthaus Auwirt and would visit it again on my own. The price-performance ratio is good. Greetings from the other side of the Saalach.
