Gasthof Adler Die Taverne griechische Spezialitäten in Pfedelbach

Nach einem schönen Wandertag sind wir heute in dieser griechischen Gaststätte eingekehrt – und hätten es wirklich nicht besser treffen können. Schon beim Ankommen wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Der Wirt und Inhaber war außerordentlich freundlich, aufmerksam und hat sich wunderbar um seine Gäste gekümmert. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Essen: Der Chef kocht hier persönlich – und das schmeckt man! Die griechischen Gerichte waren frisch, authentisch und einfach richtig lecker. Alles war mit viel Liebe zubereitet und perfekt abgeschmeckt. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat absolut überzeugt. Für die Qualität und die Portionen ist das mehr als fair. Wir konnten draußen in der Sonne sitzen, die gemütliche Atmosphäre genießen und einfach entspannen. Es war genau der richtige Ort, um unsere 1. Mai Wanderung ausklingen zu lassen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können diese Gaststätte nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Wir waren als Familie dort mit dem Gutscheinbuch Essen und waren begeistert vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sowie der Freundlichkeit gegenüber Familien.

Etwas älteres Lokal aber sehr gutes Essen. Man wartet etwas länger auf das Essen was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Zu den Toilette muss man eine ziemlich steile Treppe runter. Die Toilette ist auch in den 70ziger stehen geblieben aber war ok. Wir hatten auf 19.00 Uhr an einem Fr.einen Tisch vorbestellt was gut war.

Nachdem uns dieses Restaurant schon mehrmals im vorbeifahren, durch die ungewöhnliche Aussendekoration, aufgefallen war, haben wir es heute endlich mal geschafft dort einzukehren. Die Speisekarte bietet für fast jeden etwas und das Essen ist sehr gut. Die Preise sind angemessen und der Service sehr freundlich. Die Einrichtung ist (geschätzt) aus den 1970‘ern aber sehr liebevoll dekoriert und gemütlich. Wir werden sehr gerne und bald wieder hierher zurückkommen.

Nichts besonderes, bin besseres griechisches Essen gewöhnt! Ist aber auch auf dem Land, wo keine Konkurrenz ist. Bin Essen griechisch in München gewöhnt und daher vermutlich verwöhnt!

Wir waren Abends zum Essen, und wurden gleich sehr freundlich Empfangen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Angefangen vom Gyros über den Tintenfisch bis hin zu den Pommes. Und die Preise sind absolut fair. Vielen Dank für das schöne Erlebnis.

Die Taverne ist innen sehr urig eingerichtet, aber sehr gemütlich. Das Essen hat uns bisher immer total lecker geschmeckt und die Preise sind fair. Das Schöne ist, dass es zu jeder Hauptspeise einen kleinen Beilagensalat gibt. Das Personal ist höflich und zuvorkommend. Es empfiehlt sich vorher zu reservieren.

Sehr altes Lokal urige Atmosphäre. Wir waren dort, weil wir einen Gutschein hatten und würden bestimmt wieder hingehen, wenn es nicht etwas weit weg wäre. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Und die Bedienung, ich nehme an der wird selbst war sehr freundlich. Obwohl wir nur ein Essen bezahlen müssten, haben wir noch einen Ouzo bekommen. Jeder einen natürlich. Gefallen haben uns auch die vielen Pflanzen auf der Terrasse, auf der es bei schönem Wetter im Sommer bestimmt nett ist. Ist allerdings etwas klein

We ate at the Adler today and it was very tasty. The salad was fresh and very tasty. The main course was beautifully presented and also very tasty. The wait for the food was less than 10 minutes. The service was very friendly and the chef was just as nice. We were very satisfied and will be back.

I've been to the restaurant several times now, at different times of the year. Often with the gourmet book. I've been delighted every time. I never had to wait long; the meat was never too dry and was truly well-prepared. The fried feta cheese with honey as a starter was an absolute delight. Afterwards, I had classic, typical Greek dishes, notably large portions. My recommendation: always upgrade your side salad to the Greek farmer's salad for €2.50.

A very average/mediocre Greek restaurant. God knows, nothing special. The best part was the red wine. The pita was okay, no garlic on it, but coarse salt. The pita was bordering on completely soggy. The gyro in Metaxa sauce was a very stringy, fatty gyro, not crispy and cut into rather coarse chunks, vaguely reminiscent of shredded meat. Definitely not from a skewer. The Metaxa sauce tasted 0% like Metaxa, not even remotely like alcohol, but rather like a mild tomato cream sauce. The only positive point, the homemade French fries, were really good. The service was good, attentive, and quick. The food also arrived surprisingly quickly (15 minutes after ordering). We happened to pass by and the reviews sounded good, but the food wasn't great. We won't be back. It was definitely not worth €50!

We've already had the opportunity to visit the Gasthof Adler - Greek Tavern - twice and enjoyed a delicious meal there. We were able to try a variety of dishes, everything was delicious 😋, and the portions were quite generous. The owner and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the tavern itself is cozy and has a special atmosphere. We really enjoyed it there, and we'll definitely be back 👍🏻!

Traditionally furnished restaurant with two dining rooms and an extensive Greek menu. There are also a few seats outside, right on the main road. Very friendly service. No long wait. The gyros, calamari, tomato rice, and fries were delicious. A side salad and vanilla ice cream on warm puff pastry with a sprinkle of brittle for dessert were also good. It's a great place to eat. There are a few steps outside. Restrooms in the basement, accessible via steep stairs. Parking is directly across the street. Free Wi-Fi. We'd be happy to return.

I can only confirm the many positive reviews: The food and drinks are of a very high quality, no matter what you choose from the extensive menu. Everything extremely tasty. The ambience is stylish and homely. Service very attentive. You immediately feel welcome here. Very important: everyone gets enough here. And at very moderate prices. On weekends you may want to make a reservation in advance. You always get a place during the week. Certainly one of the best Greek restaurants in the area.

We became aware of this restaurant through the Schlemmerblock and wanted to try it out. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for our three main courses, which was a bit of a shame. The Paros plate offered mixed impressions: the lightly fried calamari and the tzatziki tasted very good, the tomato rice was okay. However, the gyros did not correspond to the classic Greek style, but was more reminiscent of sliced ​​meat and was also a bit dry - which was unfortunately disappointing. However, I would like to point out positively that the side salad that comes with the main courses was convincing in terms of taste. A big negative point was the sanitary facilities. Not only are they getting old, but they are in desperate need of renovation - that was really shocking. But what I would like to emphasize positively: The service was friendly and attentive, which enhanced the overall picture somewhat. Overall, a mixed experience - good food with some compromises on the gyros, long waiting times, but at least nice service. However, the sanitary facilities are in urgent need of renovation.

Were there today for the first time since the tavern opened. We got a place without reserving, which is a rarity these days...! Boss was accommodating and very nice. Our dishes came very quickly and were tasty. Absolutely ok in terms of price. The atmosphere could be a little more Greek, but we want to eat and not look. All in all, definitely recommended and we will make a detour again.

Actually, don't complain. It is the only business in Untersteinbach. Still not a long-running favorite. The menu is traditionally Greek and without highlights. Gyros from the bulk packaging. Tastes like many other Greeks. The salad was relatively small and tasted mediocre. Too much salad dressing. The fries were not crispy and baked too short. The ice cream was nice as an addition instead of ouzo. There is a little lack of love for cooking and the associated creativity. The inventory is in the style of the 70s. Unfortunately, this is a trend that is becoming more and more established. Convinience, a lack of staff, high costs and working hours that hardly anyone wants to have anymore.

So I really don't know where the good reviews come from. I rarely write reviews but I can't resist it here. The ambience is good but that's it. Unfortunately the quality of the food is really not good, e.g. the meat skewer consists of 80% fat. We also had to wait quite a long time for food. In the short time we were there, 4 other tables complained about the food, whether it was meat or vegetables, everything was there. Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience and whether you as a motorcyclist should be offered an ouzo is well-intentioned but morally difficult.

Good pizza 🍕 and gyros to take away. Actually always happy. But unfortunately there is a lack of staff and I have ordered several times (at least 8-10 times) by phone and received nothing or only received it after a 30 minute wait. A pity :-/ Unfortunately I now have to take a longer journey to get my food on time.

Wir waren heute zum Mittagessen da. Es war wirklich sehr, sehr lecker ( Suflaki, Gyros, Schnitzel, Salate)Zum Nachtisch gab es ein leckeres Dessert auf Kosten vom Haus! Sowas gibt es heutzutage sehr selten. Es dauerte auch nicht lange bis das Essen serviert wurde. Preis / Leistung stimmt! Bedienung sehr nett und freundlich! Vorher reservieren von Vorteil, da nur 55 Plätze im Restaurant sind. Aber ein wirklich sehr gemütliches Ambiente! Wir kommen wieder!

Schönes, kleines griechisches Restaurant mit gemütlichen Ambiente und kleinem Außenbereich mitten im Dorf neben der Kirche. Das Essen ist prima und der Service richtig klasse. Wir kamen ziemlich spät, und haben trotzdem sehr gutes Essen und sehr freundlichem Service erhalten. Kann ich rundherum empfehlen.

Wir waren wegen unserem Gutscheinblock hier. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, die Atmosphäre angenehm und das Essen ganz hervorragend. Wir hatten gefüllte Weinblätter als Vorspeise und im Anschluss Bifteki und einen Irodion-Teller und können alles uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Auch kleine Änderungen an den Gerichten (Pommes statt Reis) waren kein Problem. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Personal sehr freundlich. Essen so naja: Pizza ok, Gyros nicht ok siehe vorherige Kommentare. Es gab auch unaufgefordert den erwähnten kostenlosen Nachtisch.

Freundliches Personal, allerdings ist das Essen nicht unser Fall. Die Pizzen waren zu fettig und auch geschmacklich nicht optimal. Die Pita schmeckte uns zu fad und das Fleisch war viel zu durchwachsen und zäh. Daher leider nur drei Sterne.

Haben Essen telefonisch zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Leider lange Zeit, haben aber als Entschädigung Desserts umsonst bekommen

Der Lachs war gut, der Salat allerdings ist mit einer komischen Soße angemacht,die nicht gut schmeckt. Nette Geste: Es gab einen kostenlosen Nachtischteller mit Eis, Obst und Kuchen. Leider mit Zuckerwasser übergossen und daher sehr süß. Und zum Abschluss einen Anisschnaps. Der Wein stammt von den umliegenden Weingütern :) Leider sind die sanitären Anlagen alt und nicht sehr prickelnd... Bedienung war recht freundlich!

Das war es erste und letzte mal, alles so grob geschnitten vom Gyros bis Salat, es fehlt die Liebe, es fehlt das knusprige, die Gewürze, es fehlt alles was man sucht in einem Gericht.

Sympathische Leute, aber leider gastronomisch eher 2 Sterne. Essen kalt. Fleisch zäh, teilweise roh und sehr viel Fett. Service ultra langsam und leider sehr unaufmerksam.
