Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben eine ruhige Nacht mit dem Camper auf dem Parkplatz verbracht. Am Abend sind wir im Restaurant essen gegangen – das Essen hat uns ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit, wir kommen gerne wieder!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Gestern verbrachten wir - ganz unverhofft - einen erstklassigen " Cabaret - Abend " in der Prost, sowohl darstelleisch als auch essensmässig erstklassig. Auch hier stimmte alles, vom Service über Oualität und Zubereitung. Eine wirkliche Perle für unsere Region. Wir kommen sehr, sehr gerne wieder!! Und tausend Dank für die liebe Betreuung!

Rezession schreiben ist eigentlich nicht so unser Ding. Aber heute muß es sein! Sind auf der Durchreise durch Zufall auf diesen Ort und Gasthof gestoßen. Der Empfang und die Begrüßung waren mehr als nett. Das Essen mit Liebe und frischen Produkten zubereitet. Besonders das Veggie Schnitzel - mal keine Presspappe - sondern Handgemacht! Im Gasthaus zur Post einzukehren ist immer wieder schön. Egal, ob im gemütlichen Gastraum oder im sonnigen Biergarten - man wird immer herzlich empfangen. Gastfreundschaft wird hier gelebt. Das Essen ist immer saisonal/regional und wird stets frisch zubereitet. Es könnte also mal eine kleine Weile vergehen, bis das Essen serviert wird. Aber die Wartezeit ist es auf jeden Fall wert! Wir kommen immer wieder gerne in die Post. Zu den Zimmern kann ich nichts sagen, da wir hier noch nie übernachtet haben.

Wenn ich könnte, würde ich gern 6 und mehr Sterne vergeben! Hier fühlt man sich, als wäre man bei guten Freunden zu Gast. So definiere ich GASTFREUNDSCHAFT und hervorragend selbst gekochtes Essen, welches man leider heutzutage in deutschen Restaurants kaum noch findet. Ganz gegen die Devise aufreißen, erwärmen, anrichten, wird hier noch sichtlich selbst geschnippelt, Soßen nach alten Rezepten zubereitet und aus gesunden und regionalen Zutaten Köstlichkeiten zu einem angemessenen Preis zubereitet. Die Renovierung des alten Dorfgasthauses ist gut geglückt und so manche Erinnerung an alte Zeiten liebevoll gewahrt worden. Schade, dass wir von Edemissen erst nach Schwüblingsen fahren müssen, um in den Genuss einer so tollen Dorfgaststätte kommen zu können, die wir bei uns leider schon lange Jahre sehnlichst vermissen.

Das Mini Hotel hat super Charme . Die Zimmer sind bis ins kleinste Detail liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war perfekt . Es gibt nix zu meckern. Leute Fahrt dort hin und bucht ein Zimmer

wir haben mit Freunden einen wunderschönen und leckeren Abend im Gasthaus zur Post verbracht. Die Salate, Schnitzel und Beilagen waren frisch zubereitet und einfach sehr lecker gewesen. Es herrscht in dem rustikal eingerichtetem Gastraum eine wunderbare warme Ausstrahlung. Inhaber Sven hat uns die ganze Geschichte des Hauses erzählt. Wir kommen wieder! Auch um den Biergarten kennen zulernen.

Ich hatte, schon vor einer ganzen Weile, geschäftlich mit dem Inhaber zu tun. Wir haben einen Termin im Restaurant vereinbart. Ich hatte eine lange Anfahrt. Stand vor verschlossener Tür. Rief den Inhaber an, fragte höflich nach, wann er erscheine. Er würgte mich ab, sagte, wir könnten in 5 Minuten nochmal telefonieren. Tatsächlich aber blockierte er einfach meine Nummer. Es ist wirklich nichts vorgefallen, warum ich diese Behandlung verdient hätte. Den Termin hätte der Inhaber auch einfach absagen können. Qualität von Restaurant & Hotel kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Negative Facebook-Einträge werden sofort gelöscht und der Zugang gesperrt, also hier nochmal: wenn Dir die Gäste wegbleiben, absolut verdient. Das hat nix mit gestiegenen Preisen zu tun, sondern mit Deiner überaus arroganten Art, mit Gästen umzugehen.

Ich kann das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen. War gestern das erstemal da nicht nur das essen war ausgezeichnet auch der Service war super.

Was für ein schöner Abend! Wir haben lecker gespeist, mit hervorragenden Wein verwöhnt und wurden sehr aufmerksam bedient. Wir kommen wieder! 😀

Wir können dieses Gasthaus zur Post nur weiter empfehlen! Wir sind sehr freundlich empfangen worden, unser Zimmer wahr schön und es hatte sogar einen kleinen Balkon wo man zum Rauchen rausgehen konnte. Das Essen wahr einfach aber super lecker! Wir waren nur für eine Nacht da, doch von der Zimmerausstattung her kann man in diesem Gasthaus gut 1-2Wochen gastieren.

Wir waren zum Weihnachtsbuffet im Gasthof und sind rundum begeistert. Das Personal war durchgehend aufmerksam, freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Der Gastraum ist lichtdurchflutet, freundlich gestaltet und lädt sofort zum Wohlfühlen ein. Man sitzt an stilvollen, rustikalen, geplankten Echtholz-Esstischen im gemütlichen Landhausstil. Besonders schön fanden wir, dass der Koch jeden Gast persönlich begrüßt und das Buffet vorgestellt hat. Jedes Gericht hatte seine eigene Handschrift und Hausnote, und es wurde mit reichlich und gut abgestimmten Gewürzen gearbeitet. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal!

Super gwante Bedienung Zimmer sind Tip top

Sehr sauberes, modernes und top ausgestattetes Zimmer. Essen perfekt, Personal sehr freundlich.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 6 Leuten für drei Nächte in der Wohnung/Hotel über dem Gasthaus. Die Wohnung ist modern und es gab absolut nichts daran auszusetzten. Die Gastgeber waren zum Zeitpunkt unserer Anreise nicht vor Ort, trotzdem funktionierten die Anreise und das Einchecken unkompliziert. Am letzten Abend entschieden wir uns recht spontan im Gasthaus essen zu wollen. Obwohl bereits alle plätze ausgebucht waren wurde für uns nochmal extra das Menü für diesen Abend zubereitet. Obwohl es schon spät und wir die letzten Gäste waren wurden wir immer freundlich bedient. Anschließend hatten wir auch noch einige nette Gespräche mit den Eigentümern bei dem ein oder anderen Glas Ouzo ;)

Sehr schönes Gasthaus mit freundlichem Personal. Das Essen schmeckte vorzüglich. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und sind umfangreich eingerichtet.

Wir waren gestern Abend im Gasthaus zur Post und ich kann nur Positives berichten ! Das Essen war geschmacklich absolut top👍! So frisch und lecker, das habe ich lange nicht mehr so genossen ! Ich habe es gestern Abend schon gesagt, aber es muss einfach nochmal betont werden : Ich habe lange nicht mehr SO gut gegessen 👌 ! Die Gastgeber waren trotz des vollen Hauses stets freundlich und haben im Laufe des Abends immer mal wieder nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Das Ambiente ist sehr einladend, mit einer schönen Mischung aus Gemütlichkeit und Stil. Und ein kleines Gimmick: Bei der telefonischen Reservierung hatte der Chef noch scherzhaft gesagt, dass wir zum 11.11. im Kostüm erscheinen sollten. Zum Glück war es kein Muss,wir waren auch ohne Kostüm herzlich willkommen und das war genauso gut so ! 😊 Obwohl es unser erster Besuch war, sind wir uns sicher : Wir kommen definitiv wieder ! Dieses Gasthaus ist eine echte Bereicherung für unsere Region und ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen.

I've never written a review before the end of a trip :-) My son and I have only been here for about two hours and we already love it! A very friendly welcome and a fantastic accommodation, which we highly recommend... we're so happy to be here.

We ended up staying with Sven because our first accommodation was a disaster. We received a very warm welcome and were made to feel welcome. The food was also delicious. The cozy beer garden is a great place to linger; Björn and Sven are super-friendly hosts with a friendly team. The rooms are also lovingly decorated, and you feel very comfortable there. I highly recommend it and would definitely come back.

Nice place to stay! We arrived on a Saturday evening and were surprised to find the burgers & beer night! Great, I love them both! Burgers were really good & they had some nice music playing all evening. We stayed the night & in the morning we took a nice long bike ride. We hadn’t booked breakfast but one of the owners made sure we got something last minute! All in all, great stay!

I stumbled upon this place by accident. But I'm so pleasantly surprised I can't even describe it. It's so cozy, the rooms are so warm, clean, and you feel like you're in a private home. The food in the restaurant is delicious, and I think it's worth coming here even just for dinner; you'll be surprised. The service is like a five-star hotel, even better. This place has soul.

Thank you for the friendly service! On Saturday, July 20, 2025, the restaurant was closed for a party. Nevertheless, as travelers passing through, we were able to satisfy our hunger and thirst! A small beer garden with a cozy and very friendly atmosphere and delicious regional produce. The burgers with organic meat are especially highly recommended. We're thrilled!

The room and staff were super nice, and there's parking behind the building. The bathroom, unfortunately, is shared, but it's super clean and well-equipped. We'd be happy to stay again.

We held a large birthday party (20-25 people) at the Gasthaus zur Post. We rented the larger hall for this. The host decorated the room beautifully, and we felt very comfortable. The entire staff was very accommodating, friendly, and available to us at any time. The food is particularly noteworthy. We chose our own buffet (where we received incredibly good advice), and the quantity was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone was particularly impressed by the roast pork (chosen thanks to the owner's wonderful advice). The value for money here is absolutely perfect. It was a wonderful birthday party, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the owner and his entire team 😊.

We ate there with 15 people; excellent service and no wait time. A lovely village atmosphere. However, without a train connection, the village is only easily accessible from outside the area by car or bicycle.

We were guests with three small children and it was excellent. We all really enjoyed the food and the service was extremely courteous and looked after us and the children very well. We felt very comfortable. Thank you for the wonderful evening!

We were on the way back from Steinhuder Meer and had lunch here. We had roulade and "Easter goose". We were given a very friendly and warm welcome, the dishes were excellently crafted, my goose was a bit hard to the bite, but I found it very appreciative that the waitress and the chef pointed this out to me before I had the food. I've never experienced anything like that before. I really enjoyed it and all I can say is that, in my opinion, everyone here will get inexpensive (€30 per person with drinks) and great food in a friendly, pleasant environment. Laut Speisekarte im Internet sind wir gekommen um Rouladen zu Essen. Bei Ankunft teilte man uns gleich mit, dass es keine Rouladen und auch kein Sauerbraten mehr geben würde. Letztendlich stand uns die Auswahl an zahlreichen Schnitzeln zur Verfügung. Dazu habe ich ein Glas Rose Wein bestellt, den ich leider nicht zurückgehen lassen habe. Er war sauer und schmeckte eher nach einem Essig. Dazu kam noch, dass der Wein eine rote Farbe hatte, welches ich so nicht kenne. Letztendlich musste ich mich am späten Abend übergeben. Mein Fazit, der Wein war gekippt! Für mich war es das erste und letzte Mal.

Hello everyone, first of all thank you for this great evening at our Christmas party :) Booking wasn't a problem at all: we're already pretty full, but we're happy to make it possible. You may have to wait a bit: no problem at all! Despite the warning, everything went very quickly ;-) we were already at the transvestite show and the Halloween party. The food has ALWAYS been absolutely amazing! The kitchen crew is really excellent 🧡 our employees were all enthusiastic about the food and the staff 😍 we are also always absolutely satisfied with the staff. Extremely friendly, accommodating and always ready with a little tip if you can't decide! We are glad that Sven and Björn took on this challenge and that there is such a great restaurant nearby! We'll definitely come back often, and our boys have already said that they really want to show their wives this beautiful restaurant :) The attention to detail can be seen everywhere. First of all, I have to say that we really loved the beer garden in the summer, as well as the food and the team there (I can't say anything about the hotel). Because of many positive reports - including about the show - we wanted to celebrate New Year's Eve there and had reserved tickets early. Unfortunately, we weren't given the option of paying by bank transfer, PayPal or similar; they insisted on paying on site, which was difficult for us for certain reasons during the restaurant's stated opening hours. So we showed up during the office hours, which were also stated in the email, and found the door locked. Nobody was available by phone either, so we left again. When I communicated this via email and asked for a bank transfer option, the owner brusquely informed me that the office was not located in the inn and that it might be (quote: bold): "occasionally necessary to check in advance." The email he had previously sent regarding payment, however, did not mention this; it simply stated that the office was "always" open on certain days between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. – so I assumed the office was also on the premises of the inn. However, they would now issue us an invoice plus a €5 (per person?) processing fee, and I should please inform them of our decision. I did this (if only out of spite) and agreed, but pointed out again that I found the wording in his email rather harsh. We never received the invoice, but were informed that our tickets had unfortunately been given to other guests – apparently, you had made an incorrect booking/overbooking... no, of course... . Well, maybe it's better that way, because after such an incident, I wouldn't have wanted to attend the event anyway. Conclusion: I've never experienced such unfriendly and inflexible behavior towards guests before, and I'm still a bit stunned.

Made an extraordinary discovery today, the Gasthaus zur Post🏫! It is not just a beautiful and very friendly inn, it is more of a dream come true that offers an upscale restaurant, a mini hotel, a theater, a beer garden and much more! The ambience comes from the heart💝, the owners renovated the old village post office themselves, you can feel it, everything with taste and a lot of passion for detail💕. This is reflected in a stunning menu, which is traditionally German, with fine sophistication and idea, and with the courage to implement it! The concept, here we live what is loved and with success!💯 For us we had wild goulash, which was accompanied by a much reduced sauce, with selected ingredients and accompaniments, so that it was almost black and very tasty, served with homemade red cabbage and bread dumplings as well as apple rings with cranberries , doesn't sound particularly spectacular, but the implementation, the taste, the presentation, just great, super delicious💥✨! Second menu, the one over many days, pickled sauerbraten🥩🥕🧅🧄🍄‍🟫 with a potato gratin, very finely grated potatoes, cooked in a delicately spicy sauce and gratinated with cheese that doesn't steal the show from the main actors🥔. Simple, but so tasty, excellent! The dessert is a dream in chocolate, as ice cream, small chocolate mini brownies and nut chocolate flakes🍫🍧🍪! The second dessert, a dream fruit dream 🫐🍓🍑🍐 which consisted of a caramelized shortcrust cake in caramelized fruit sauce (seasonal fruits) 🧇🥧, accompanied by warm forest fruits 🫐🫖🍥, the absolute dream of all citrus lovers 🍋🍋🍋🍧, a creamy citrus limoncello Ice cream, with a limoncello center, Amen!! 🍷🍺🍹🍸🍻 We'll be back, no question! Today we went to this cute restaurant again with our dog and were not disappointed. Before our drinks arrived, the dog was given water, then treats and cuddles. The food was again very tasty, very fresh and tastefully prepared. The warm treatment of people and animals alone makes us drive 40km for dinner. Thank you very much, we would love to come back!

We had been planning to go there for a long time. We had lunch at the Gasthaus zur Post and were completely thrilled. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, just right for a relaxing Sunday. The service was attentive and friendly, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The food was simply outstanding! Every dish was lovingly prepared and tasted a highlight. We were particularly impressed by the regionality of the dishes. The quality of the ingredients was noticeable and the presentation of the dishes was a feast for the eyes. Zum 2.ten mal haben wir versucht ein Mittagessen a la carte zu bekommen und sind gescheitert. Nach Studium der Speisekarte via Website haben wir uns entschlossen die 12 km von Burgdorf zum Gasthaus Zur Post zu fahren. Dort angekommen, bekamen wir die Auskunft dass nur die Grillkarte zur Verfügung stehe. Gekommen sind wir für Roulade und Geschnetzeltes. Ca.3 Monate zuvor ist uns hier die gleiche Situation widerfahren. Damals hieß es dass die Speisen aufgrund einer Feier vom Vortag nicht mehr verfügbar seien. Sofern kein Systen dahinter steckt, wäre es ein leichtes dieses Ärgernis für den Gast zu vermeiden indem man auf der Website eine Notiz hinterlässt. Für uns wares jedenfalls der letzte Besuch!

For the second time we tried to get lunch a la carte and failed. After studying the menu via the website, we decided to drive the 12 km from Burgdorf to the Gasthaus Zur Post. When we got there, we were told that only the grill menu was available. We came for roulade and sliced ​​meat. The same situation happened to us here about 3 months ago. At that time it was said that the food was no longer available due to a celebration the day before. Unless there is a system behind it, it would be easy to avoid this nuisance for the guest by leaving a note on the website. In any case, it was the last visit for us!

We discovered this small, cozy restaurant by chance. Sat in the beer garden and received such a warm welcome and great food and drinks. The portions were really big and very tasty. The beer garden is very comfortably located in a field, you can relax here when the weather is nice. We'll be back again at "Schietwetter" to test the indoor menu 😊. Keep it up!

Simply mega! We had booked a table for a group of around 20 young people. Despite the delay, we received a very friendly welcome. Communication was clear with us. All questions about dishes and drinks could be answered and a casual saying was always ready. Very friendly and considerate staff. At the end we even really celebrated together. This restaurant, run with a lot of passion, is located in the middle of a quiet place. We felt very welcome. The menu is exciting and the daily specials were very tempting. We had a small family celebration there with lunch followed by coffee and cake. The food quality and preparation were very good and the service was outstanding. Many thanks to the whole team.

Had lunch there for the 3rd Advent with a previous table reservation for 5 people. Everything freshly prepared, Recommendation from the boss for goose leg/breast and matching freshly prepared bread dumplings/napkin dumplings was top. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Beef roulades were also delicious with red cabbage and spaetzle. Then decided on a surprise dessert, also delicious. Nice gesture from the boss, Christmas schnapps on the house Keep it up.. Tolles Restaurant und Biergarten!! Essen ist sehr gut und der Service ist einwandfrei. Sehr freundlich und bemüht! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wir haben wiederholt den italienischen Abend genutzt, um uns kulinarisch verwöhnen zu lassen. Es hat ganz wunderbar geklappt und wir haben das Essen und die Gastfreundschaft sehr genossen. Grazie mille

Wir waren am Samstag zum italienischen Abend dort. Wir hatten uns etwas anderes darunter vorgestellt. Als Hauptgerichte gab es nur Nudeln, meine cabonara waren überwürzt und nicht aldente. Positiv muss mann die überaus freundliche Service Kraft und den allgemein sehr freundlichen Ton dort erwähnen. Gerne werden wir wieder kommen wenn es deutsche Küche dort angeboten wird.

Ein super lieber und netter Service, sehr familiär. Die Karte ist super strukturiert und auf unsere extrawünsche wurde umgehend eingegangen. Wir alle hatten Variationen vom Schnitzel, es gibt aber auch Braten und Rouladen. Der warme Pudding war frisch gekocht und einfach unglaublich lecker. Die Rechnung war für acht Personen auch mehr als angemessen.

Wir können nur sagen, das war Spitze!!! Wir haben unsere Hochzeit dort gefeiert und waren total begeistert. Spitzen Essen, super Service und top Organisation. Der Saal ist super schön und der Biergarten bei Top Wetter einfach der Hit. Wir können nur herzlichen Dank für eine wirklich tolle Feier sagen. Leider kann man nur 5 Sterne vergeben.

Bardzo przytulne miejsce. Obiady bardzo smaczne wszystko z lokalnych produktów. Sniadanie pieknie przygotowane nawet z malym akcentem dla nas. Pokoje ładnie urzadzone i bardzo czyste. Wlasciciele przesympatyczni, widac ze robią to z pasją. Dodatkowo miejsce te jest przyjazne dla gosci z psami. Wisienką na torcie byl poczęstunek z pysznego ciasta podany do pokoju.

Trotz sehr später Ankunft (nach 21h) wurden wir herzlich empfangen und in absolut saubere, neue Zimmer geführt. Es stand alles Notwendige bereit. Ein videoüberwachter, sicherer Innenhof für Autos und Fahrräder ließ uns beruhigt nächtigen. - Das vorzügliche, reichhaltige Frühstück überraschte uns am nächsten Morgen. Besonders erwähnenswert ist der freundliche, unaufdringliche Service. Auch auf die kleinen Extrawünsche unserer Enkelkinder wurde sofort eingegangen. - Der Chef des Hauses beriet uns noch hinsichtlich der Heimreiseroute. - In diesem Minihotel ist jeder willkommen und positiv überrascht!

Wir haben hier ein tolles Wochenende verbracht. Sven und Björn haben hier etwas ganz besonderes geschaffen, mit ganz viel Liebe zum Detail. Service, Essen, Personal alles einfach toll. Wir hatten das Glück das auch noch ein Biergarten Spezial statt fand. Toller Abend und Gänsehaut pur bei den Gesangseinlagen von Miss Liss. Wir kommen wieder, darauf könnt ihr euch verlassen . Hier muss man einfach mal gewesen sein. Muttchen und die Weinschwestern.

Super leckeres, frisches Essen. Sie legen viel Wert auf Regionales. Haben mit unserem Camper hier eine Nacht gestanden. Frühstück war sehr liebevoll angerichtet und neben der viele Auswahl auch mega lecker. Netter Service und sympathisches Inhaber-Pärchen. Jederzeit gern wieder. Auf der nächsten Durchreise auf jeden Fall wieder ein Stopp für uns wert!

Super nette Betreiber, wir haben sehr gut gegessen und bekamen danach noch lecker 😋 Apfelstreusselkuchen und Kaffee auf Kosten des Hauses. Das Personal auch supi und noch am Schützenfest im Ort teilgenommen.

Wir sind am Sonntag morgen spontan mit dem Bulli dort gelandet und uns hätte nichts besseres passieren können. Dieser Betreiber wird mir durch seine herzliche, bemühte und Gastfreundliche art noch sehr lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Sowas erlebt man heutzutage kaum noch und auch hunde sind dort kein Problem. Wir sind total begeistert von allem gewesen und werden euch definitiv weiterempfehlen.Das Essen in dem kleinen Biergarten war super und die Preise absolut angemessen. Selbst die Toiletten wurden für uns über Nacht offen gelassen. Danke, dass es noch solche Menschen wie dich gibt! Macht weiter so, wir kommen wieder!
